Since FireRed's song table has half the songs that Emerald does, you'd have about half a megabyte of wasted space from Johto's songs. The most efficient way would be to assemble the S files manually (because I have all the ROM-ready S files) instead of c/p'ing the song data from Emerald to FireRed.

Would you mind making a list of what songs from HG/SS you want in your hack, and what vanilla songs you want to replace?

Haha hopefully you won't be disappointed! The new patch is sounding a lot more like the actual HG/SS music than the old patch does.

But wait, there's more! You should wait until I update my patch before you add Kanto songs. As of now the the current public patch has terrible volume balance and inaccurate midi events. I would send you the patch with the improved and accurate music but it only has Johto's themes atm... It should be finished in two weeks tops.

It's a really easy thing to do if you're hacking FireRed/LeafGreen and if you don't have any data located after 0x1200000. You can literally c/p the hex data from Emerald to FR/LG (and vice versa) and it will work.

"jsziede - Everything gogo did but for Emerald" was exactly what I typed on the patch's Romhack.me page haha, which GoGo c/p'd to the patch's PC page. But that was around last September...

Music hacking is fun because you get actual 4th and 5th gen music in your hacks :D I made a hack loaded with music from those two generations, with more being added every once in a while. GoGo made a tutorial that pretty much explains everything there is to music hacking. You don't even need to know music theory (though it helps when editing midis).

I'm redoing my HG/SS Emerald patch (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=308411) because of ipatix's recent tool (that I just reported a bug for) and also because I don't think people are aware that I created the Emerald patch, not GoGoJJTech haha

i didn't know people actually referred to it as legal age re: when you can consent to having sex, without specifying that's what you mean.

to me legal age is the age you're an adult

I'd suggest 'the Rangers' - gives it a more cobbled-together feel, fitting for a post-apoc-esque setting, rather than acting like it were a long-standing heavily-organized force. You don't join "The Rangers, LLC" - you just join up with the miscellaneous folks tough enough to call themselves a 'Ranger.' Just my opinion on the kind of tone you may want to adopt.
