    Just wanted to say thank you for all your generosity and helpfulness with the stuff I've been asking about lately. It's incredibly kind of you and I really do appreciate it :)
    You know i can write ASM codes, but i can not suspect where is the info stored and where i would place the branch. Thats the main problem.
    Then a tutorial on how to find & use those methods would be nice, although I understand how much work that is, and how it may only apply to a small group of people depending on how specific they way is, any ways thank you so much!

    By debugging I meant how to narrow down VBA-SDL-H registers, or do you use Knizz's IDB to look for information??

    I was thinking and I've came up with something... Would it be possible to delete a PC Storage Box in order to get more free RAM??
    I've set both gender names to be the same, since my hack only runs with a boy main character.

    I've changed the offsets to make it easier, also I'm testing this one on a clean rom:
    750000 : Name in hex (Michael)
    750100 : Routine

    So sorry, I should be more clear, I'm trying to change the player's name (static name hack), not trying to give pokemon names.
    Well assuming this is your hack directly I found it more relevant to ask you instead.

    I've changed that offset and I've gotten the pokemon to come out the same, & the prior offset I gave was for the static name, I've added the routine approximately 10 times, and haven't been able to get a legit name posted to work.

    to call the asm on the static name all I would need would be:
    callasm 0x750101 'offset of static name routine
    and no flags or var would need to be set correct??

    Edit: game doesn't crash when I click on the name of a clean rom, but it's still changed to "â"
