  • Just tested out the tournament and this happened on the second Pokemon. Third Pokemon was a lvl 34 ??? mon. Then it just crashed on the second battle. It seemed to work partially for the first Pokemon (although they were using the ??? Pokemon's moveset), but after that everything broke. Any clue what went wrong?

EDIT: Actually could it be that I'm using MrDollSteak's base? Would I need to change some offsets in the routine?
Would you not have to repoint the whiteout script after editing it? Would I just search for the pointers and replace them all?
Someone aksed about the release date of the Red Adventures Beta because he can't wait. I came to warn you. BTW how is Pokemon Gaia going? :D
So if you lose a battle in the tournament, wouldn't you respawn with your party still at level 50, and the random battle/disabled items/disabled exp. gain flags active? Did you add a level script to every possible healing place or something? Not sure how I could fix that otherwise.

Also, I've made a table that lists everything past 97 (151) to 19C. That includes the 25 ??? Pokemon in between gen 2 and gen 3, and bad egg. Where are the unown formes?
I'll try it out, then. And not sure if you're the right person to ask, but is 0x11318 just a table for flags? You have any idea of how it's structured, is flag 261 directly after that one?
Not the most efficient, I know, but if I want to avoid modifying the routine much, it could be done?
Ah, ok. I guess I'll have to modify my script a bit then. I wonder if it would be possible to insert the ASM multiple times for different levels? If the place where you put the pointer is the offset for a flag, could I not just find another flag and copy it?
What about the levels? I haven't tested it out yet, but you mentioned you have it set for a team of 3. Does that mean regardless of the Pokemon the trainer ID has there will always be 3 generated, all of them level 50?
Alright, that makes a lot more sense.

I have one last question for you. I'm working on my battle frontier, and I'm a bit confused by the table from FBI's routine. If I want Pokemon only from the kanto dex, does that mean I have to blacklist ~230 Pokemon and the pokemon past 386? Would it be easy to make it a whitelist instead (considering I don't want to include all kanto pokemon either)?
Wouldn't that take a really long time, or am I misunderstanding you? Let's say you want to find the table entry for route 10, if you don't know you could have to change 30 entries or something before you find it. And then you have to do for every route. Is it really that tedious or am I missing something?
Hey, can I ask you something? I submitted a thread before, about fakemon, but I really need to post it, could you do that?
Yo spheal, could ya remove the poll from Blackened Night? Hopefully gonna get a beta out soon and I want the thread ready for it!
you're probably getting tired of me asking you questions lol
Hey, I figured out how to insert the map in the pokedex, and I've attempted to edit the table with the co-ords and size, but it seems like I've got something wrong. According to the tutorial, C (which would be the 12th entry in the table) is the value for route 1. So I counted to the 12th entry+1 (to account for the first entry 0x00 which looks to be unused), and the values don't seem to match up: http://i.imgur.com/cJeItFm.png
Wouldn't the first byte be 03 for route 1? Have I done something terribly wrong? I can't even see 03 for quite a few entries so I'm sure it can't be just the entry before or something.
