I was contemplating using placeholder assets to begin with, but I wasn't sure if it was acceptable to present on the forums using placeholder stuff. I assume that means it is OK. Yeah, I understand that having a working display would be good. Thanks.

Ah, forgive me. I have read the rules and I understand how much is supposed to be in a thread, but for an idea thread some of the things can't apply... so I'm not sure. Can you give me a rough outline of what is needed in simply an "idea" thread? Thanks.

How would you recommend making a thread for a new essentials game? How would you put captions and words in bold? And also how to show screenshots? Lol I'm sorry.

Now that we've got that misunderstanding out of the way... you're probably thinking, "Where's the background/plot of Steel/Ice?" Well, I'll give it to you here and now:

About one year before the events of X/Y, a youth from Tributary Town, in Albion, dreamed of becoming a Pokémon Trainer. That dream came true one fateful day, when Professor Willow got attacked while studying a wild Pokémon. The soon-to-be-minted Trainer saved her using one of three Pokémon, and Professor Willow, as thanks, let the youth have that Pokémon.

The new Trainer had two ambitions: firstly, to take on the Pokémon League's Albion Challenge; and secondly, to help Professor Willow complete the Pokédex she had been working on. Along the way, though, this new Trainer gets entangled in a war between two ecoterrorist organizations: Team Calor, which is attempting a Second Industrial Revolution, and Team Freeze, which is going to extremes to save the planet from global warming. Can this Trainer make it to the top, advance the realm of Pokémon research, and save the world from a potentially destructive ecological conflict?

I wish to complain to you. It's been about 20 hours since I made my thread which announced my Gen V.V project. Why have you not approved it yet? Are you trying to sabotage me? Is there any valid reason why you've not approved it yet?

Oh, I'm positive AA will grow when I announce my Gen V.V project set in Albion, and failing that, some time after. In any case, it was Luka himself who gave me the idea for the Albion-based Gen V.V game in the first place--by outright telling me that creating my own engine first would be too big a task for me at this time.

Would it be all right for me to create a directory thread for the works of Atlantic Arts (my fangame development group)?
