@darkshade: Probably it's problem of the rom, or the patching process. Have you been patching over a clean FR(U) rom? (clean = never applied an .ips patch before)
I'll just paste what I always tell to people who ask me about the steps to patch...
1.Download my zip file
2.Unzip the zip, you should get a file with extension .ips
3.Get the LIPS program (you can get it from
http://www.wah.studiopokemon.com/herramientas/Lips.zip)
4.Get a Fire Red(U) rom (you need to find one yourself)
5.Open the LIPS program
6.Pick "Apply Patch"
7.Choose my .ips file that came out of the zip
8.Hit "Open"
9.Choose the Fire Red rom (a .gba file)
10.Hit "Open"
11.Close LIPS and opened the Emulator (Visual Boy Advance prefered)
12.Make sure in VBA that Options->Emulator->Save Type->Flash 128k is selected, before loading the game
13.Load the Fire Red rom to which you applied the patch
@Lash: 8 days? (you'll die in 7-no-8 days uhhhhh...)
Uhmmm, I'll probably not around since I'm more active around Thursdays, I guess I'll be late by one day.
@Orangemaster: If I'm not wrong I think I answered you in the thread some other time you asked the same thing, but, whatever. I changed the sprites of the hero through the hack's history, and the changes are always permanent, so, unless you change the graphics on your own, you wont get a hero with goggles.
And, since giving roms is against rules (which is something I also remember someone told you also), you'll have to learn to patch no matter what. If you've read the steps I posted just a minute ago (look up), it'll probably help you.
