Pokemon Used:Changes based on the criminal group. (EX: Team Aqua uses Water pokemon or pokemon that can be interpreted as Water Pokemon, Team Rocket uses villanous or evil looking pokemon, etc.) Your not restricted to at type, but try and narrow it down a little.

Casey: Hey, (username), wait up! As you continue on your journey, you need to watch out for Team Missle. They are a powerful corporation that started up a few years ago by a trainer named Dustin. Today, they are the leaders in technological advances, and its been rumored that they can create Pokemon out of the surrounding air! What? You're asking why I am telling you this? Well, to recruit new members to their cause, Team Missle sends around some of their top battlers as disguised Pokemon Trainers. If they battle a Trainer and like the potential, they will attempt to recruit the Trainer to their cause. Usually, the Trainer ends up joining them- whether willingly or forcefully. Watch out for Team Missle, (username), and good luck on the rest of your journey!

When Arceus does appear, we will be able to create a clone of him using a machine we have developed. However, this clone will be stronger than Arceus, and we will easily capture it and control it! Fourth Encounter

Opening Speech: What?! (username)?! How were you able to find me here?! Ah, it doesn't matter now. By my boss's command, I have retrieved another legendary Pokemon to help our cause- the legendary Celebi! The main portion of my task is complete. All that is left is to get rid of one remaining nuisance to the ultimate goal of Team Missle- you!!
Team Strategy: This entire team is built around Machamp sweeping. Scizor scouts for other Pokemon with U-Turn, Heatran cleans up anything in its path, Celebi and Vaporeon make up the defensive core of the team, and Machamp comes out in the end to tear through everything in its path.
Defeat Dialogue: Will you just let me beat you for once?!
Closing Speech: Ugh!! You are impossible to defeat! Nonetheless, I still have this Celebi, which I will now take to my boss. With this Celebi, I complete the requirement of capturing all of the legendary Pokemon! The boss will be happy that our goal of capturing Arceus will still be achieved!!
Fifth and Final Encounter

Casey: Hold up there, (username)! Before I was a Gym Leader, I used to travel around the Orre region during its second Shadow Pokemon crisis. I've kept this machine since then. You may need it in the fight against Team Missle, so please use it! (Obtained the Snag Machine! (username) attached the Snag Machine to his/her arm) You can use that Machine to snag any Pokemon that another Trainer owns. However, to prevent people from abusing it, I programmed the Snag Machine to shut down after one use. That means if you want to snag a Pokemon, you'll need this! (Obtained the Master Ball!) That will catch any Pokemon without fail! Good luck!
(Player approaches Assef and a group of Grunts)
Assef: Humph! You managed to chase me even to here. Even though you defeated the boss, I still have been able to prepare everything to summon Arceus. (Turns to grunts) Prepare the Dark Matter! (A large machine behind Assef activates and glows black). Now, send out all of the legendary Pokemon! (All legendary Pokemon clump in front of the machine). (Arceus then appears and lands in front of the legendary Pokemon). Create the clone! (A black form of Arceus attacks the real Arceus, renders it unconscious, then dissolves into nothingness).
Assef: Yes! Go, Master Ball! (Arceus is captured)! Muahahaha! With Arceus by my side, nothing can stop me! I will take over the world! And I will start this conquest by taking you down with my new power! Go, Arceus! Pummel this fool!
Comments: Arceus normally does not get Nasty Plot!!!

Team Strategy: If you have seen Maci12 on Smogon, then this team is quite familiar to you. This is a small variation of Maci12's Team Casablanca! Although Maci's thread will provide much more detail as to the strategy, I'll sum it up here: Gliscor shuts down stall and slower leads, Heatran lures bulky waters and walls and can trap them with Magma Storm then do whatever it wants to the Pokemon in question, Scizor goes around U-Turning for most of the battle, Celebi and Vaporeon make up a defensive core, with Celebi spreading paralysis and Vaporeon providing Wish Support, then Machamp will come in late game and sweep with its powerful attacks that have a 1.5x boost from Brass Knuckles.
Defeat Dialogue: Even now... at the most important time... I cannot defeat you. I have failed!
Closing Speech: But wait! I still have the... (turns around) SHOOT!! The legendary Pokemon all fled during the battle! Curse you, (username)! You have completely ruined my career in crime! I will flee off to somewhere safe where nobody will find me. Then, when the time is right, I will return, and you will be the first on my hit list. Farewell... for now.
Since I don't really know what the plot was or where/when the Criminal Rival battles take place, I decided to throw in the sub-plot that I was using for Dariath Conference here. Cookie if you get the reference that's built in to the C.Rival's motives. (Line break) So, I see you've found us again. I'm starting to like you, kid. What's your name? (line break) Not telling me? Well, whatever. We just finished up here, so whatever you're chasing us for, you're too late. I may not have my Scyther on me, but I'll still tear you up! Nobody messes with Hibino Hikaru or Team Anorith!
Closing Line: So you still win. What makes you so strong?
Final Words: And here I was thinking I'd have to dispose of a body. At least I slowed you down long enough for us to get away. On top of that, we've now got the one machine in (region) that makes PP-Max heading to our hideout! Hahaha, I will remember your name, (name)! Don't you dare think you've seen the last of Team Anorith!
Encounter 2 Strategy

Shedinja's role as the lead pokemon is to probe the starter pokemon of the Trainer, maybe K.O. it.
Shuckle's job is the hardest by far - tanking. I took the Wrap Trap approach with Shuckle, and since Hibino Hikaru is not a very subtle person, this seems to fit her better. Stealth Rock is probably the most dangerous attack Shuckle will have, since he will have time to at least get one round of it going.
Beedrill picks up the role of Sweeper in this case, as Ninjask is elsewhere and Scyther is in the process of becoming Scizor.
Encounter 3

Opening Line: Well, well, well... I was wondering when you'd show up. [Admin 1], take the machine and go. [Admin 2], make sure that everyone makes it out alright. (line break) (Name), I was thinking over our last battle. I thought to slow you down, but not to win. This time is different. We will take The Machine, make our own version, and fill the world with an army of Armaldo! Not even the death of pokemon will stop us from completing our goals now! But, in the meantime, we must take the machine back and make it work. While my Admins take care of that, even if I can't stop you, I will keep you from tracking them to our hideout!
Closing Line: ...no matter. The Pokemon Ressurector is on its way to our hideout. Soon, we will be able to repair it and see if we can ressurect our namesake, Anorith.
Final Words: You remind me so much of her... gah, no! Now is not the time to remenisce, now is the time for me to make an escape. Next time we meet, (name), you will see Anorith in all its glory! You will learn not to mess with Team Anorith!
Encounter 3 Strategy
Spoiler:
Even though this is almost the same team from the first battle (just with Shuckle added), the differences in the strategy are pretty vast.
For starters, Ninjask is no longer a sweeper, but a Baton Passer. This much better mirrors Shedinja's support role, and since the two only appear on the same team in the fifth encounter, this is a good thing.
Shuckle's role is still to tank and to set up Stealth Rock. Erm, will anyone in the player's party have Rapid Spin?
Scizor and Beedrill both take the role of Sweeper, but they do it in different ways. Scizor's role is now to take down anything with a resistance to Bug, and Beedrill's role is to take down anything with a weakness to it. The Focus Sash, plus a high speed rating, ensures that at least one person should fall to Endeavor.
Encounter 4

Opening Line: You are a very interesting trainer. Here I am, presenting to His Majesty Arceus what he asked me to bring to him. He may come, he may not. Your arrival here, it means something. [Admin 1], [Admin 2], please, escort everyone as far away from this place as possible. Yes, that includes civilians. I do not want to risk any more innocent lives. This is the last action of Team Anorith. (line break) (Name), Arceus has asked that I find both the Iron Insect and the Calming Master. At one time, before I knew about the Ressurection Device, the only pokemon that would have worked was Scizor. But, when I found how to make Scyther become Scizor, I learned of a research institute that was going to restore an Anorith Fossil to its proper frame. In my impatience, I stole both the device and the fossil. (line break) Do you hear that, (name)? That is Arceus. It seeks to be the judge in our battle. If I win, I will learn what I started Team Anorith for in the first place. If I lose, well, I shall train more. Either way, if this battle does not happen... I don't know, but I don't think Arceus will rest peacefully if no battle is had here. (Name), let neither of us dissapoint Arceus!
Closing Line: ... am I unworthy to learn that last, great secret?
Final Words: My team is disbanded. My defeat here, though, is not final. Why do I lose to you? Why do you remind me of her so much? Is there something I have forgotten in my quest for knowledge? (Name), let me tell you why I formed Team Anorith... no, now is not the time. When the time comes, seek me out. Then, maybe I will understand where your power comes from. (Line break) I swear, I will uncover her secret, though. Even if it kills me.
Encounter 4 Strategy
Spoiler:
Even now, we still do not see the full team all at once (Ninjask is sitting out this round). Leading with Shedinja, the idea is to inflict a burn as soon as possible, then take advantage of the reduced speed with the new addition, Shiny Armaldo. Having two sweepers may seem conflicting, but with Beedrill being relegated to even more of the surprise Endeavor role than last time, having two sweepers is what makes Hibino Hikaru more dangerous. Scizor is more for taking out Steel-types, while Armaldo is more for removing threats like Crobat and Rayquaza. Shuckle's main role is to stall for as long as possible - made easier if enemy trainers are able to effectively use Ethers/Elixers, though, as only Wrap has a high PP count -, and to set up the Stealth Rock. I thought about giving Beedrill Poison Spike, but decided against it for... some... reason...
Encounter 5
Spoiler:
Opening Line: Fufufufu... You did come. Trust. Loyalty. I had forgotten those most important bonds in my quest to uncover the secret of the League Champion of the region I came from. I must thank you, (name), for reminding me. Winning, losing... they no longer hold any importance for me. Neither does discovering her secret. Arceus gave me a gift, last time you and I met. He taught me the language of Pokemon. I know now what they want, what they like and dislike. No more will I force them when they wish for rest, and in return, they will battle to the bitter end because they know I will be right behind them, to care for them and heal them when they fall. Much like how I would for those that once called themselves members of Team Anorith. (line break) But do not think that I have not gotten stronger. Indeed, I have gotten stronger. If I can defeat you, it will prove to me that I have also grown wiser. Be my proof! (Name), ready yourself!
Closing Line: ... I give up. You win.
Final Words: ... Until today, there were only two trainers have I never won against. You make the third person that I cannot beat, no matter how powerful I became. But, I think I see now why I can't win. Even though I was able to build trust with my Pokemon, I still battled for selfish reasons. You battle to protect and teach. I shall leave this land and return to where I know I will be accepted. Maybe I will be able to win Daichi from Nonohara... no, I guess not. I originally started being a trainer in order to try and win him from her, but no matter what I did, he still favored her... maybe I was trying too hard... In any event, the next time you see me, I will be wearing a smile on my face, this I promise!
Encounter 5 Strategy

Ahh, the final match between our intrepid hero and Hibino Hikaru. No holding back this time.
Ninjask is primarily to Baton Pass to Armaldo or Beedrill, as they both can benefit immensely from A+6 S+3, but can also use dig against whatever non-flying Fire-types get sent out.
Shedinja, again, is more for the inflicting of the Burn status than anything else, and the Dig is more for dealing with Poison types that don't have toxic/posion gas/some other status-inflicting move.
Once again, Armaldo's job is to sweep whatever flyer comes into play. I think Ninjask would rather BP to Armaldo than use dig, since Ancient Power (it may only have 8 PP, but that chance for Stats Gain is worth it IMO) gets x4 against Charizard/Moltres/Ho-oh.
Shuckle, the Tanking King. Probably the only change would be that it now has PP-Max for all moves.
Scizor. Still in charge of eliminating Steel-types. To be completely honest, I've never actually had a Scizor, so I have no clue how to handle one. However, I'll take Smogon's word for it that this moveset is a good one. I took Bug Bite over Fury Cutter.
Beedrill, AKA "The reason Raekuul isn't a competetive Pokemon Trainer," now has Poison Spike instead of Pin Missile, but this conflicts with Hibino Hikaru's personality. It may change back.

Yes, Shedinja and Ninjask can know dig. I have a Ninjask and a Shedinja that know Dig on Emerald, all you need is a Nincada and the TM.
Ohoho, new group? Well then, this'll be interesting. I was always complimented for making some pretty nasty villains. And Arceus will be involved without having it feel unusual.
Well, either new group or a callback to an old one.
Team Anorith, just to point out, took the name because (a) it sounded cool, and (b ) the founder specializes in the Bug type. [Admin 1] and [Admin 2] may just be former Rocket/Aqua/Magma/Galactic execs.
Oh, and before I forget, my vote for hometown Rival goes to Skip Shot
I agree with Opposite here. I've had 2 eye injuries in the past, and there was no way I could shrug those off. :/
I've updated my Criminal Rival submission, which now includes the full plan of Team Missle. I made a change to the Brass Knuckles item, and the team is slowing starting to build. (Cookie and juice box 0.0 to anyone that can guess the inspiration of Assef's team).
EDIT: Vote time! I'd like to vote for my (Skip Shot's) Hometown Rival, becaue I feel that the rival should be incorporated into the storyline, and not stand apart. Eos really only connected his rival to the game's plot in the Registeel storyline.
raekuul, I really like the storyline of Team Anorith and how it plays out. The team progression is also great. The only thing I see missing is a possible team strategy for the final two submissions, which is important to this hack. Otherwise, its a great submission, and I'd like to see some more of your work in the upcoming rival rounds!

Aerodactyl starts as the lead to set up Stealth Rock, and combined with its Pressure ability to wear down attacks quicker then normal. Jolteon is the First Sweeper, and attempts to strike down opponents with its massive SpA, and has Baton Pass in case something that can take it down comes, so it can make a hasty retreat. Tyranitar is the Second Sweeper, and will try to nail your team. All of the attacks are used to deal powerful damage, especially Pursuit when a pokemon tries to switch out, and STAB, Stone Edge as they're powerful, and the STAB.
Aerodactyl: Aerodactyl as the lead sets up Stealth Rock, uses Taunt to keep opponents from boosting their stats, or making them switch out if their pokemon isn't powerful enough to take it on without power boosts, has Earthquake to fight off Rock and Electric types easier, as well as having a powerful move under its belt, and Rock Slide is there to hit Flying and Ice types harder.
Jolteon: Jolteon is the first sweeper of the team, and is a menace to deal with, due to a powerful SpA. It's Thunderbolt is there as a powerful attack, getting the STAB, causing this pokemon to become a hassle to deal with. HP Ice is used to take down threats such as Dragon, Ground, or Rock types easier, Shadow Ball is used to take down psychics that can be trouble, while Baton Pass allows it to make a hasty retreat so that it can come back later on and cause trouble.
Tyranitar: Tyranitar is the Second Sweeper on the team for good reason. Crunch and Stone Edge, getting the STAB, and both being powerful attacks, coupled with Tyranitar's monsterous ATK stat, will make for a powerful attacker. Pursuit is also to be reckoned with as if you attempt to switch out, it will hit for twice the damage as normal, and Earthquake is there to take down Steel-Types easier, but also has more coverage against Fire, Electricity and a few other types weak to the move.

Tyranitar is the Second Sweeper, and will try to nail your team. All of the attacks are used to deal powerful damage, especially Pursuit when a pokemon tries to switch out, and STAB, Stone Edge as they're powerful, and the STAB.

Final Words: Rei: This loss was expected, nay I wanted this to occur. It shows how dependant you are on Pokemon. Pokemon treated well are usually more powerful then pokemon treated horribly, but that's my point. I don't care about my pokemon, thus I knew you would win. But next time we meet in battle, I will win, no matter what.

Rei: Pokemon are evil creatures. Humans were intended to be the prey, as we had no real special talents that pokemon didn't have, and I figured that out when I was five, after I lost my legs to a 'human-trained' Growlithe. I survived, and since then, I wanted to kill all pokemon.
Jon: The Growlithe that attacked you was likely poorly trained, it's not the same with all of them!
Rei: SILENCE! I'm not finished. Anyway, so I got to thinking. Collect a bunch of pawns, then kill them off after my whole plan, after all, I can't trust this lot. So what do I want with Arceus?
Rei: I will have Arceus commit a Pokemon Holocaust, by wiping every single one out of existence! Hahaha! Not a single one will live on! Not yours, not mine, not anyone's!
Jon: That's horrible! You must be stopped here! (Turns to hero/ine) My pokemon are exhausted from the trip up, you're going to have to be the one to fight him.

You wouldn't stand your ground for five minutes in the real world, which brings me to my message; stay away from Team Maelstrom. They are an extremely powerful team led by the mighty Squall, a former league Champion. Losing to them means a lifetime of hell; be careful. What? You think you can take them on? You got guts kid, I give you that much, but don't be stupid; they will crush you. So much of our land has already been destroyed by them, whole towns haven't survived their attacks.
