  • Ok there there is the Final copy... added to Skyna's personality to give her more depth (Yay! for flaws/internal conflict). Changed around some levels (increased Javok and Skyna's increased and decreased the others... also traded out Confusion for Psychic).

  • Imma add my SU soon, if it's okay :D
I'll let the automatic double post thing do it's job then...

BTW, is it okay if my character is gay? 8D

    Well... Here it is!

    Name: Devin Rivéra
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male
    Hometown: Violet City
    Title: Psychic
Appearance: Devin is pretty short for his age; about 5'6"... That said, he is a bit uncomfortable with his height. He has never been too tall compared to others, and he gets easily uncomfortable when people mention his height, trying to raise on his toes a bit. He is average weight, not thin, not too fat either. He does have really slight overweight, but it fits him and people rarely even notice. He has quite thin arms, but slightly stocky legs.

Devin's hair is what he truly enjoys about himself. It is pretty long, reaching to his chin if he stretches it all the way down. His hair is light brown, kinda like milk chocolate. He uses all kinds of creams and shampoos to make it look better, though he is a little embarrassed of it and rarely tells anyone about it.

Devin's eyes are light green, and he has quite a small nose, but not one that makes him look like an idiot. He has an ordinary mouth, and his lips are kinda light red colored... He hates his ears, which are kinda sticking out of his head, annoyingly. He always makes sure his ears are completely covered by his hair, even though nobody really even looks at him. His chin is ordinary looking, and he is quite happy that he hasn't developed a dent in it.

His skin is quite pale, because no matter what, he just cannot get a tan. Devin's neck is ordinary, but he has an annoying little birth mark in it, shaped like a paw print, which his mother finds cute. Devin doesn't even have wide shoulders, which he doesn't mind that much, since he is quite girly anyways. He likes to wear black clothes, though some green ones (And rarely red ones) usually make their way into his wardrobe. His favourite combination is a dark green shirt, a thin, black jacket (Which he likes to keep open), quite tight, black trousers with his Pokéball belt. He hates jeans, because they limit his movement so much, even though he doesn't usually need mobility that much. To top it all of, he has black sneakers with light green shoelaces. Devin's feet are quite big compared to others, but they arent usually that visible under the legs of his trousers. He doesn't like using accessories, but he always keeps a round silver necklace he got from his best friend, who moved to Hoenn.

He likes to keep good care of his fingernails and never bites them or anything. He despises people who just bite their fingernails and call it a day.

Personality: He is really shy and observative. He never made the first move whether it was for boys or anything really. In group tasks he just sat most of the times alone, thinking, while the rest of the group wrote something stupid on the assignment.

He usually was the odd one out, because he was different from the mass. He had opinions, ideas, he liked to read, and learn, while the others just goofed around and got nothing done. Devin always preferred the company of adults, because he thought almost all of the other kids were too immature to understand him. Even though he is shy, he still isnt afraid of being unique, at trait taught to him by his best friend, when he was little.
He loves to walk. He feels refreshed every time he can take a quick stroll at the Ilex forest and just... Think in the peace of the forest. Devin likes intelligent people, and people who aren't afraid to be different. Though, he can get really competitive and does not like to lose, whether it was in Pokémon battles with the Sprout tower sages or even knowing something.

Devin is virgin in every sense of the word. He hasn't even hugged anyone, and he has trouble letting anyone close to him, let alone be his friend. He was always bullied around in schools because of the fact that he is gay, and different, in a sense that he loved to read and draw. He came from the are of Violet city where no-one really care about Pokémon; they only saw them as the wildlife, nothing more, nothing less. He was also bullied about it... Basically, after his best friend left, he found friends in Pokémon. When he walked to home, some people used to laugh at him, push him down and steal his Pokéballs, releasing them in the streets and throwing the Pokéballs in the drive way.

History: Devin was born in Goldenrod city, and he lived there for the first two years of his life, with his mother and father. After he turned two, his parents decided that Goldenrod was too noisy, with the meetings considering the Crimson tide and what not. Anyways, they decided to move to Violet city, leaving behind most of the stuff they had, since no moving trucks were free. They decided to start completely anew, both resigned their earlier jobs (which paid quite well, mind you) and moved to the more quiet parts of Violet city. His father went and got a new job renovating the Sprout tower, while her mother decided to stay home for her precious son.

The next few years went quite well, and he had lots of friends. But mostly, he liked to play with his neighbor, a girl named Claire. Claire was an unique girl, and she was not afraid to show it. They would usually do all fun and normal stuff, like draw, watch movies, and hang out. Her openness quickly rubbed into Devin. He began being honest to himself, doing things he liked. He had great friends during lower school.

Then things began to go downhill. At about 6th grade, he realised he liked boys, and he had a huge crush to a friend of his. With Claire's support, he told the friend that he liked him. It didn't go all that well, and the friend just stood there, scared. After an awkward silence, he just said: "Dude, what the hell" and his group proceeded to beat the living daylights out of him. After the incident, the word spread fast, and he became the laughing stock of the whole school. Gladly he still had Claire, but after a while, Clarie announced sadly, that her family was moving to Hoenn, due to the Crimson tide was taking a hold of Johto, which annoyed Claire's parents, who happened to be a part of the Johto parliament. Before she left, she gave Devin a round silver necklace, with a small character in it. She told Devin that it meant "Eternal friendship", and left.

After that, Devin began being more lonely, and more interested in studying, reading and most importantly, Pokémon. He thought that now that he had time, he could actually take time to study these "interesting" creatures, that filled the world. He never actually really had come to contact to a Pokémon before... Only instant would be Claire's pet Zigzagoon that her father had brought for her during his business trip to Hoenn. What sparked his interest, was going to the Sprout tower to pay a visit to his father. Then he saw that one of the saints, Nico to be exact, had a Bellsprout. It looked so interesting to Devin and he decided that he just had to catch himself a Pokémon. He asked Nico if he could loan his Bellsprout for a moment. He nodded and Devin was off to the route next to Violet city, holding the Pokéball of the weird plant Pokémon. At first, he met all kinds of regular Pokémon, like Pidgey and Sentret. However, even the most normal ones were so interesting to Devin, and he just stared at them for what seemed to be ages. As he was about to head back to Violet, something hit his leg. He looked behind him and noticed a smaller-than-average Phanpy. It looked like it was separated from it's mother, which made sense, because Phanpy shouldn't even be near this route! Devin got excited and got determined to catch it. He called Nico's Bellsprout out, and it came out in a flash of light.
"Bellsprout" it yelled and started to wait for orders. Devin didn't know what to do. He wasn't too sure of Bellsprout's attacks. He just ordered it to use Vine Whip, since it looked capable of using it. The Bellsprout eagerly obeyed and violently slashed the Phanpy with it's leaf. The Phanpy cried, curled into a ball and tackled the Bellsprout fiercely. Bellsprout flew into it's back, fainted.
Devin recalled the plant Pokémon and threw his own Pokéball at the little elephant. It wiggled once, twice, and thrice! Devin had caught his first Pokémon. After that, he eagerly returned the fainted Bellsprout to Nico, and went home.

Days went on. Devin began more and more interested in Pokémon. And at the same time, he got more and more bullied at school. But he could handle it. After he turned 16, he already had four Pokémon in his team, and many more in his PC. However, Devin was bored; he wanted to go on an adventure... He wanted to see and catch more of these wonderful creatures! So, when the year passsed, and he turned 17, his father and mother gave him a Pokémon egg and a some money. Devin has decided; he wanted to leave.
One day, when he was at the Ecruteak Pokécenter, he saw this poster, reading: "Do you want to be a part of something big? Are you sick of those Crimson tide members robbing you of free will? Or are you just bored? Well then, join the resistance! We are gathering to a small island next to Hoenn, to keep it protected from the vicious Crimson tide group! Join the resistance, and come to the island!" Then it showed the coordinates to the said island. "Exaggerated" , he thought. Then he read the whole poster again "...near Hoenn..." , he realised that he could be able to meet Claire there! As he left the Pokécenter, a member of Crimson tide came in, and abruptly ripped the poster of the wall, glaring daggers to the nurse Joy. Devin then ran all the way to his house, dashed to his room, and packed his stuff. He approached his parents carefully, and told them he wanted to leave. His parents understood, and soon he was at the Olivine city harbor, ready to take his first steps outside the region.

  • Name: Jaeden Allegheri
    Age: 21

    Gender: Male
    Hometown: Mauville City, Hoenn
Title: Analyst Jaeden (He wants it to be Agent)

Appearance: Jaeden is about 5'11", he is an average build, neither strong nor weak, as he never really tried to improve his physique. He has a kind of deep voice, pretty normal. He has short, wavy, brown hair and forest-green eyes. He has a small scar just below his eyebrow from a fight with his Mightyena and has a moderately clefted chin. Jaeden is fairly tan from training in the sun all day. He normally wears dark blue jeans, a white T-Shirt with a target on it, and a white and blue plaid button down shirt (unbuttoned with sleeves rolled up) over it. He wears blue converse. He has a pokeball containing his first pokemon, Skarmory, attached to a necklace around his neck. He has a two inch scar on his right shoulder from where he was shot.

Personality: When you first meet Jaeden, you might think he is a very silent, broody person, but once he gets comfortable around the person he will talk a lot more and will be a lot more friendly. Jaeden is somewhat egotistical, especially about his hair. He will often check his hair, smiling while he does. He has a temper, but if you did not cause his anger, he won't take it out on you. He is very intolerant of people who annoy him and will not hesitate to tell them so. He is very frank which most people pass off as meanness which it is not.

He is fairly smart and uses logic in most situations as opposed to guessing or that "following your heart" nonsense. Jaeden loves music and will often be caught humming songs or even singing them (Let me know if occasionally I can use songs from the real world. Not a lot, just sometimes).

He has episodes where he gets very nevous and jittery, side-effects from the stress caused by him getting shot (covered in the History). This is normally triggered by weapons of any kind. Jaeden has expressed a desire to become an agent (Not a spy but just an operative, you know?), which is why he was transferred to Ambience.

History: Jaeden lived a fairly well-to-do life. His family was upper-middle class, and he was doing well as an assistant to his city's Pokemon Professor, Prof. Hutchinson. His parents wanted him to become a Professor, and he wanted to become one, but one day, three years ago, Jaeden was coming home from the Lab when he saw several large, intimidating men entering his house. Jaeden snuck over to the window to see what was going on. He over heard one of them them say, "Yeah, the Boss said that the Professor's head assistant lives here. We're supposed to grab him and make him tell us where the Professor's data on cloning is." Jaeden was terrified, mostly because he didn't know where the data was kept and they seemed convinced that he did. He was also nervous because he had seen a bulge in each of their coats. They had guns! He grabbed Legion's pokeball (skarmory) and released him. He then ordered Legion to drive them out of the house and distract them while he went to get the police. Before he had a chance to run, the men exited his house, "He's not here, let's look around." the leader said. Jaeden started to run when suddenly the men saw him and yelled, "Stop!" Jaeden kept running. The leader pulled out the gun from his coat, took aim, and shot Jaeden in the right shoulder. Legion attacked the men and drove them off before they could get Jaeden. Legion was able to alert a neighbor, and Jaeden was taken to the hospital. Authorities told Jaeden that those were probably the Crimson Tide, a powerful organization that was formed about two years ago. Jaeden recovered and went back to work for Prof. Hutchinson although he was constantly jittery. A week later he was visited by a man who told him about how there are people working to defeat the Crimson Tide. He offered to let Jaeden join him. Jaeden was reluctant, but he soon realized that those people need to be stopped and agreed. For the past three years, Jaeden has been working with the Resistance as a field analyst working with the agents, but not really engaging in any action. Recently, Jaeden ask to become an agent, and he was transferred to Ambience.

@Ryu-kun & Jaeden: No TM/HM moves as of yet, please. You will get some during the course of the adventure, but I'd prefer to keep things a little more natural at the moment. So Ryu, if you'd like to use the egg move on Abra to teach it something other than Teleport, that's your call. Sorry about that, guys.

    @Stingray: Awright. Accepted. *thumbsup*

@Grifspark: I like the pokemon, but I do need to see a sign-up :P I'm putting the opening post up tonight, so I'd prefer if you could get it done by tomorrow at latest, please.

I'll take the six of you, since only six signed up, it seems rather unfair to exclude only one person, *nod* So as soon as Ryu and Jaeden get those moves sorted out, they'll also be approved. For now, Zeein, Alexander and Javok are good to go in the thread.

Edit: Posted the thread, so we'll be good to go whenever it gets approved.

Glad you like it, and I'm working on the SU, I've just been a little busy with school, other RPG's ect. But it'll be done soon enough...

EDIT: Complete SU revamp. So it'll be completely different from the first one I posted earlier (Even though I had only chosen Pokemon on the last one...) Thus, I deleted the original post, ect.

    Character

    Name: Roland Edward Murdoch
    Age: 21
    Gender: Male
    Hometown: Eterna, Sinnoh
    Title: Hunter of Legends

Appearance: Roland stands at a painfully tall 6'4, and with a fairly thin build. His dark-brown hair is messy, and un-cut, leaving it a little above shoulder height. His eyes are a strikingly pale blue, verging on being a dull, lifeless grey. A thin layer of stubble runs along his jaw, but apart from that, his face is rather un-remarkable

He has a few cuts and bruises along his elbows from crawling along the ground (Explained later), but they are covered by a white shirt, which is remarkably pristine despite his current life-style. Covering his shirt is a dark-brown trench coat, which is a surprisingly similar shade to his hair colour. His trousers are a jet black, and rather uninteresting, and he wears a pair of brown Doc-Martens for the long trips he makes, as the boots are good for travel over long distances.

Personality: -Adventurous, curious, and all around persistent- three traits that would sum up Roland in one sentence. Roland has a personal obsession with rare Pokémon, which has led him to travel across many regions in search of them. He'll try every trick in the book to try and catch Pokémon he deems 'special' or 'mysterious', using cunning and strategy to capture them rather than an all-out battle. If it weren't for his patients, he would have given up years ago, but that single trait kept him going throughout any situation.

Unfortunately, his need to capture rare Pokémon has had him away from civilization for weeks, maybe even months on end. As guessed, he doesn't fare well socially with other people, being seemingly cold and un-caring around them. But the truth is, he is simply focused, trying to learn more about Pokémon that few have seen. In the end, he's not a bad person, just a little obsessive…

History: Roland was born in the rather cold region of Sinnoh, -more specifically- Eterna. During his life in Eterna, he was surrounded by legends and myths, which has led Roland to be the person he is today. During his childhood, he was rather detached from the others at school, taking more solace on his own in peace. Despite how much encouragement from family and other teachers, he struggled to form a friendly relationship with the other children. Despite his unsociable nature, you would expect him to be bullied for some period, but he never was. In fact, many of the other students were scared of him, even if he never actually harmed another human.

As he grew older, he began to wander further and further away from Eterna in his spare time, even venturing as far as Eterna Forest, which is where he met the Pokémon that would soon become his most powerful. After wandering too far into the forest, he was jumped by a gang of Nuzleaf, who are naturally aggressive Pokémon. But as if on cue, a swarm of Combee burst from the undergrowth and prepared to attack the Grass/Dark-types. They knew well enough they had no chance against the endless swarm of Pokémon, so the Nuzleaf ran. One of the many Combee hovered over to Roland, and they quickly became friends. For a couple of years, Roland repeatedly headed to Eterna to talk with the Combee, even if he couldn't quite understand what she was saying. Once Roland became old enough to begin his journey as a trainer, he headed to Eterna, hoping Combee would travel with him. She did, and the two travelled across the region hunting rare Pokémon.

His first capture was a Trapinch, who attacked them while in the Hoenn region. It was quickly caught due to its lack of strategy, and Roland realised its battle potential. It was trained, and quickly became a powerhouse of a Pokémon.

Later, in the Johto region, Roland ran into a Gloom. While they are fairly common, this one had a slightly different colouring, which led him to capturing it using his newly trained Trapinch, despite the type-disadvantage.

His latest Pokémon was caught in VictoryRoad, Kanto/Johto. A Slugma -which seemed completely oblivious to Roland's approach- wandered towards Roland, and burnt his trousers slightly. Trapinch was used once again to bury itself under the earth and strike unexpectedly. The Slugma was soon caught.

About a week before the events of the RPG, Roland had heard that Eterna had been rioting, and many of the civilians killed. Roland couldn't stand for this, and felt he had to do something. He'd hear rumours of a rebel-group gathering on an island called Sousei, and thought that now was the perfect time to show Crimson-Tide just who they were dealing with.

    Pokémon

    Total Level: 110
    ---
    Species: Vespiquen
Nickname: Scarl (Official Scarlet, but more often called Scarl)
    Gender: Female
    Level: 31
Distinct Marks: Scarl is in rather pristine condition, with few injuries or defects physical-wise. This is not because she prefers not to fight, it's just because she's so good at it. However, she is ever so slightly bigger than many Vespiquen.
Personality/Nature: Much like any other Vespiquen, Scarl is naturally bossy. She tends to become overly angry when she doesn't get her way, but only when it is someone else who disagrees with her actions. With Roland, she will follow his every command without question, much like Combee do for Vespiquen. However, when she is in a good mood, she is pleasant and polite, although that can be rather hard for other humans to tell, being most noticed by other Pokémon. She is especially polite to Bug-Types, as they share many things in common.
Her natural ability to release chemicals has made her great at baiting Pokémon, which helps with Roland's hunting habit, although she still has trouble effectively performing AttackOrder, meaning another Pokémon has to deal the final blow, or she has to resort to another attack.
Attack List: HealOrder, DefendOrder, PowerGem, FuryCutter
    ---
Species: Trapinch (Not technically a pseudo legendary)
    Nickname: Deca
    Gender: Male
    Level: 34
Distinct Marks: Deca's shell is covered with dents and scratches, which shows his battle experience.
Personality/Nature: Deca is rash, and hasty, which contrasts Roland's patient nature. He loves to fight, much like any Trapinch. Deca is Roland's most violent and mischievous Pokémon, but also one of his strongest, which makes him a bit of a wild-card when it comes to battling. Unlike Scarl, he tends to ignore Roland unless during a battle, but usually listens to Scarl. This is most likely because Vespiquen have very persuasive abilities on Bug-types, of which the Trapinch-line are much like.
Attack List: Crunch, SandAttack, SandTomb, Dig (Is that alright rather than an Egg move? It's just something pretty much all Trapinch can do)
    ---
    Species: Gloom
    Nickname: Mariah
    Gender: Female
    Level: 26
Distinct Marks: The leaves on Mariah's head are a dark green rather than the traditional orange.
Personality/Nature: Mariah is rather shy at times and rarely used in battle. When she is, it is for support reasons, using StunSpore or PoisonPowder to make the fight easier for her partner. Once she has befriended a Pokémon/human, she becomes much more open and friendly towards them. Mariah loves honey, which has led her to become good friends with Scarl.
Attack List: MegaDrain, StunSpore, PoisonPowder, Acid
    ---
    Species: Slugma
    Nickname: Quay
    Gender: Male
    Level: 29
    Distinct Marks:
Personality/Nature: Quay lives life at his own pace, seemingly oblivious to everything else in life. Due to the fact that Slugma must keep moving to stay warm, whenever he sleeps, it is only for short periods, but are frequent. Roland has been training Quay quite a lot since his capture, mainly due to the fact that Magcargo are known to be fairly tough Pokémon, and he believes that it will help capture even more Pokémon.
Attack List: Smog, Recover, Ember, AncientPower

@Perfect Monster: As of now, yes. Sorry dude. I'll toss you a PM though if anything changes.

    @Ryu-kun: As for the sign-up, I think it's very well done and I had no problems with it at all :P You vary your sentence structure and no errors immediately jumped out at me, so you're golden on that. However, I'll have to ask you again to revamp your movelist for your pokemon. At 33, Donphan wouldn't have access to Earthquake, Giga Impact, etc. I'm sticking pretty close to the games as far as moves go, so I'm sorry to have to ask you to go through it again ^^;

@Grifspark: Looks good to me, and I'll accept that logic for Dig on Trapinch :P You are officially Approved.

@JTJP770: I'm a bigger fan of Hitmonchan, personally. But don't forget there's also Hitmontop...if you wanted it, that is.

    I'm quite interested, I think i'll try for a sign-up.

    Age: : Seventeen

    Gender: : Male

    Hometown: : East of Lavaridge

    Title: : N/A

Appearance: : Steve has black hair and green-brown eyes, green near the iris center and brown at the outer edge. Steve is five and a half feet tall and, while not particularly muscular, still looks like he could do some damage in a fist-fight. Normally keeps his hair short but his fingernails are barely ever cleaned. Most of his other bodily features are average, normal teeth, average sized nose, etc.

Steve wears clothing that is easy to move around in mostly sticking to t-shirts and loose-fitting jeans. He also wears black sneakers and never wears glasses or hats because he finds them uncomfortable and unnecessary.

Personality:Steve has trouble taking things seriously and tends to stray into conflicts without thinking things through. He tries to do what he thinks is best for himself and those he cares about, but no necessarily others. He is fairly smart although his memory is not perfect and if he doesn't really care about something he'll completely forget about it in no time.

He would do anything to help those he considers to be family, which extends not only to his siblings, but his pokemon too. He has trouble expressing how he feels to others about things so he often comes across as unemotional. STH also feels no qualms about using others who he has no specific feelings towards to help further his own goals.

History: Steve was born in Lavaridge and his parents raised him with his older sister who was seven years older then him. When he was twelve both his parents died in an electrical fire at their home east of Lavaridge. Afterwards Steve traveled east to the Hoenn desert and then traveled north. He traveled around the Hoenn region for a year during which he once again visited the desert during which he captured a Sanshrew. Afterwards Steve traveled to Sinnoh to stay with his sister for a few months, who had purchased a house in Viridian city.

After Steve left his sister's home he learned about the resistance, and after following their actions for a short time decided to join. He has been doing work for the resistance for a little over two years now, during which his Sandshrew evolved into Sandslash and his Nidoran evolve into a Nidorina. He has volunteered to go to the island in hopes of learning more about the world itself.

    Pokemon Team:

    Species: Sandslash

    Nickname: Ana

    Gender: Female

    Level: 32

Distinct Marks: Ana has green eyes instead of black eyes like normal Sandslash.

Personality/Nature: Ana is completely devoted to Steve and she would never betray him, she is not easily scared nor does she let go of grudges easily. Ana also has an insatiable curiosity about the things around her and wishes to learn everything about others who become a part of her life.

Attack List: Swift, Rollout, Crush claw, Sand-attack

    Species: Nidorina

    Nickname: Silva

    Gender: Female

    Level: 23

Distinct Marks: Yellow eyes and no spikes on her back.

Personality/Nature: Silva cares about the well-being of everyone in general, but not in the individual. Silva holds love only for Steve, Ana, and Steve's sister, anyone else she is extremely skeptical of and would much rather avoid completely.

Attack List: Double kick, Poison sting, Bite, Fury swipes

    Hope you like it.

@JTJP770: Well no, me either, but I figured I'd offer it. And yes, you will be able to catch new pokemon, though at first you may not have a lot of 'free' time to train them.

@Zamorak: Signups are closed, unfortunately. Sorry man. : / I may consider making another one if people seem to like Crimson Tide though; I"ll shoot you a PM if so.

@Jaeden: Looks good, and that's fine. *stamps approved*

  • :) Thanks.
I thought that Dig on a Trapinch would be a bit of a no-brainer, since most Ground-types can do that naturally anyway (Minus Donphan, it doesn't learn it naturally, hasn't used it in the anime, and doesn't look like the kind of Pokemon that would dig...)

Anyway, using a Vespiquen should be interesting too. I've always liked them, but never used one in an RPG.

@Ryu-kun: Looks good. I'm iffy on the whole...Sky Attack on Noctowl, but I won't deny you again on that technicality. Approved.

    @GrifSpark: I don't even think I have a Combee. ^^; So I"ve never used a Vespiquen.

I guess so. I'm considering posting the opening here and using this as a platform to launch from, or at least have you all RPing before the 'actual' thread starts and whatnot.
