Ok there there is the Final copy... added to Skyna's personality to give her more depth (Yay! for flaws/internal conflict). Changed around some levels (increased Javok and Skyna's increased and decreased the others... also traded out Confusion for Psychic).
Name: Javok Kinnison
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Hometown: Littleroot town
Title: Currently: Pokémon Trainer (not a very good one though), in the past an assassin.
Appearance:
Javok is 6 foot 2 with a muscular athletic body. His white hair is usually around 4 inches, and usually looks messy or some sort of odd spiked style that makes Skyna roll her eyes. He has sharp facial features. A set of three parallel scars running from the middle of his forehead to just above his left eye (they appear to be from a wound inflicted by a Pokémon), and several other smaller scares cover his face. His skin is a lightly tanned color, and his eyes are a sky blue. On his right shoulder is a tattoo of a skull with its jaw opened as if it was laughing, behind the skull is a large blood splatter. A series of 20 small tattoos that look like drops of blood run down from the back of his right hand to his shoulder stopping right under his skull tattoo. He has 14 similar tattoos on his left arm arranged the same way that just get past his elbow.
When walking around in his "trainer" get up he wears a black T-shirt and urban-camouflage BDU pants complete with black combat boots. His katana hangs from a shealth on this left side when in this outfit. A black MP3 music player held by an arm strap (like the ones you see people wearing at the gym)and he often has the ear buds either in his ears or dangling from his neck. To complete this trainer outfit is his similarly camouflaged back pack in which he stores his items. He also owns an armored sneak suit from his assassin days. This pure black suit is mostly made of a tight fitting tough black material that allows maximum flexibility, and for added protection it has thin plates of black lightweight composite armor over areas like the chest, shoulders, top of the legs, upper parts of arms. The suit also has a built in sheath for Javok's custom made jet black katana: Ruin.
He has also been seen wearing khaki shorts, gym shorts, and some T-shirts with heavy rock/metal band emblems on them on some occasions but he usually just wears one of the two outfits listed above.
Personality:
Most of the time Javok seems distant and disconnected from everyone around him, and he tends to be a kill joy at social gatherings. He is always alert to his surroundings and has a habit of looking for all exits and checking everyone visually when entering a room. He tends to distance himself a good bit others even when talking to them and his usually emotionless and cold voice just seems to add to the distance between him and others.
In truth this is Javok's way to distance himself from others in order to try in prevent anyone from really getting to know him. Oddly enough he has not removed the tattoos linked to that past, and while he has a reason for this it remains a mystery for now. At times you will find Javok sitting there looking at his hands for no reason. He'll seem zoned out completely during this moment of flash backs. He is mentally unstable, still tore between the monster and the hope for redemption.
In battle Javok switches between two fighting styles: one he fights like most Pokémon trainers in a duel, and the other he jumps into the battle himself. When he decides to enter the fight he ignores all rules of conventional duels plus he is cold and ruthless. While he is fighting, his Pokémon are often left to decide how they want to fight since Javok tends to be focused on his own battle. Javok under dire circumstances uses special "combat drugs" that enhances his muscles, endurance, and numbs him to all pain, but it affects the brain in a way that makes him go insane during the fight. Every time he uses them later he goes through violent episodes of flashbacks, horrible pain, and often convolutions. He does have limited number of these drugs. He is very protective of Skyna to the point even in normal duels he will rush in to block or take a blow that would knock Skyna out or worse.
Javok doesn't have any friends and it remains unseen how he will react if he ever gets close to anyone. Also he has not fought alongside any other trainers and their Pokémon so it remains unseen how he will react to having allies on the field. Lastly his experience as a trainer was very limited and he doesn't own a PokeDex so his knowledge on Pokémon is limited.
History:
Javok grew up in Littleroot being the town's bully and he consistently terrorized the other children. He liked the feeling of power it gave him. When it became time for kids his age to be given their starter Pokémon Professor Birch refused to give Javok a Pokémon. Birch explained to the defiant youth that he was too cruel and violent to be trusted with a Pokémon yet. Javok stormed out of Birch's lab enraged and set on getting a Pokémon anyway.
He found one of the kids who had been given a Mudkip and snuck up on the boy. Grabbing the boy he demanded that the boy hand over the Pokémon instead the boy ordered the Mudkip to attack. Javok threw the boy and focused on the Mudkip. He kicked the Pokémon a few times before it decided to just scamper away. Turning back to the boy to grab the fleeing Pokémon's pokeball Javok noticed the boy was not moving and a pool of blood was forming around his head. Lifting the boys head Javok realized he had made the boys head hit a rock. He was still alive, but had a serious head wound… Javok on the other hand thought he had killed the boy. A feeling of terror, regret, remorse, and fear filled Javok's mind as he turn and ran away.
As fate would have it a member of the Death's Embrace, a group of assassins, had witnessed the end of the fight. That night this assassin appeared before Javok telling him the show Javok had put on was impressive, and gave Javok the offer to join the Death's Embrace. The illusion of power and the turmoil of emotions overwhelmed Javok and he accepted. That night Javok's journey of death began.
Javok endured years of harsh training to turn him into an emotionless killing machine. During this time Javok's mind was twisted further by the illusion of having the ultimate power over people, the power of life and death. By the time he was done with training he was enthusiast to kill. His first contract was easy and Javok completed it without much problem. Furthermore he was excessively brutal in his execution of his target. The next few contracts he completed in a similar manner, but soon the thrill of the killing wore off.
By the time Javok had completed his 14th kill it was just a job to him… a well paying job, but nothing else. His 16th contract was a life changer for him. For this kill he decided the best way to the target (who was under the protection of the police) was through the man's daughter who was about his age at that time. Javok was able to woo the man's daughter, named Faith, into dating him. He ended up dating this girl for four and a half months before the opportune time presented itself to pull off the job. Javok wasn't able to fully hold his emotions back when dating the daughter (to a point he had to show emotions to make the relationship believable to her), and had actually fallen for the girl about three and a half months into the fake relationship. She made him feel different and he felt emotions he had long forgotten or never had felt before. He now had a dilemma: he didn't want to abandon his mission, but he didn't want to hurt Faith. In the end he decided to finish the job without killing risking Faith's life and then disappear never letting her know he was her father's killer.
Walking into Faith's father's safe house Javok was greeted with a warm hug from the large round man. The father stepped back and asked the boy who was dating his daughter, "What can I do for you future-son-in-law jokingly?" Javok's response was two cold words: "To die." With that Javok lifted the silenced pistol he was carrying at his side and shot the man in the forehead. There was a thud on the ground as the large man hit the floor dead. Javok walked over to the body took a picture with a small camera and took a DNA sample… confirmations of his kill. Just as he turned to leave the door opened and Faith walked in with some of her father's favorite cookies. Javok froze… one part of him told him to kill her quick so she didn't alert the police protecting the safe house, and the other told him to spare the life of the girl he was in love with. In Javok's hesitation, Faith let out a scream and dropped the cookies and started to go for one of her pokeballs. Alerted by the scream two nearby policemen charged into the doorway behind faith. Seeing the policemen snapped Javok out of his dilemma and he lifted the pistol quickly and pulled the trigger several times. When Javok stopped firing the weapon three dead bodies lay in the doorway: two officers who had been reaching for their weapons, and Faith who was holding the pokeball to her favorite Pokémon, a Skitty named Jewel.
Javok left that job with a lasting impression on his life. When he returned to Death's Embrace's base of operations, something was different about Javok. More than ever he had to shut off his emotions because more than ever they tore at his insides. He felt hallow as if a part of him was missing, and nothing he did could take away that feeling. His eyes were beginning to open to his true reality.
It took a Pokémon to make him try to change, and fight against his inner monster. When he took pity on a Ralts he never knew how much it would change his future. Slowly a part of him that had appeared when he had met Faith continued to grow in conflict with who he was, until one day he broke down due to his internal conflict. After recovering he started to research his past contracts and the clients. This would lead to his final "contract" as a member of Death's Embrace.
The last contract was a personal one. When all the members of the Death's Embrace came together for a meeting to discuss a series of contracts from a new client that was to eliminate their other clients, Skyna suddenly ran in uninvited and grabbed Javok teleporting him away. As he faded away he lifted his right hand that held a detonator for all the other members to see. A series of previously planted explosives went off throughout the compound killing all the assassins for hire except Javok.
Javok tried being a trainer for about a year before joining the resistance against the Crimson Tide, an organization he had done most of his contracted killings for. Perhaps in stopping the Crimson Tide Javok could atone for some of his sins… or at least he hopes.
Note: Javok counts as 50 toward his Pokemon pool (Pseudo-Legendary + level 30) to account for his combat skills.
Pokemon:
(As a side note Javok has the tendency to randomly call most of his Pokemon by another name denoted by "" it's not their real name just something he calls them by randomly)
Species: Gardevoir
Name: Skyna "Hope" or "Angel"
Gender: female
Level: 36
Distinct Marks: Skyna is a foot shorter than most Gardevoir standing at five foot two inches. Her red protrusions on her chest and back are an inch shorter than most Gardevoirs.
Personality:
Skyna is a very intelligent Pokémon and is even capable of speaking the human's language (but unable to write or read it currently but is trying to learn). Around strangers she tends to be a bit shy unless Javok seems to getting angry or hostile at the stranger then she is cautious. Once over her shyness Skyna is very friendly to others and tries to make up for Javok's coldness. Skyna often tries to give Javok guidance (reason he will refer to her as his Heart), and has been trying to get him to completely give up his past. She seems determined to change Javok for the better claiming she knows he is capable of great good.
Skyna tends to stand off in the back and fight with her spells, and keeps a calm mind throughout a fight. She hates Javok's combat drugs and his sword. She'll destroy any vials of the drugs she finds but Javok seems to always have some more hidden elsewhere. Skyna hates watching Javok fight because she fears he will revert back to his heartless state. She is optimistic about Javok and continues to try to help him and she continues to stand beside him.
Skyna dislikes being called a Gardevoir once she has introduced herself by her name (which she takes pride in). She will often remind the person of her name, but if they continue to call her a Gardevoir she will get very annoyed. This shows something Skyna secretly struggles with: her identity and place in the Pokémon world.
Since she showed her loyalty and started helping Javok he began treating her as an equal. Since that day he has never recalled her to her Pokeball, even on the rare occasions she has fainted. Because of this treatment Skyna doesn't like being treated like a Pokemon and feels like its degrading to her, but at the same time she knows she is not a human. Of course being able to sense human emotions doesn't help her dilemma at all when it comes with her relationship to her "trainer" Javok.
Skyna has sensed the emotions and feelings of trainers toward their Pokémon, and finds Javok's emotions toward her different. She did find emotions similar to Javok's toward her elsewhere though, but it was between humans, and never toward Pokémon. This only complicates her confusion and struggle with where she should fit in. Should she put aside her sense of equality to humans and take the role of a normal Pokémon or should she hold on to what she has and hope she finds a place in this world.
History:
Skyna was given to Javok as a very young Ralts as part of a contract. She was unknowingly used as bait to bring the target out of hiding. The target was a collector of rare Pokémon and unusual colored Pokémon were one of his favorite to collect. Javok used blue hair dye to get Skyna to look just like a shiny Ralts. The assassination was when Skyna first saw death as Javok pulled out a silenced pistol and shot the target point blank in the head with Skyna sitting on a table between them. In the following fire fight Skyna was unable to move due to fear as Javok battled the targets two bodyguards. She luckily never got hit and survived to have Javok recall her back to her pokeball and leave the scene with her.
After the contract Javok was supposed to release Skyna, but at the last moment Javok decided to keep the Pokémon. At first she feared the assassin but after a while just realized he just kept her as company. He began to get very protective of her but every once in a while let her duel another Pokémon. He never actually let her faint if he could help it and instead paid off his opponent to just end the battle or step in to protect her. Because of this she leveled up very slowly and was a Ralts for a very long time. The older she got however the more aware she got of Javok's two sides: the heartless killer, and the caring human that protected her.
Years later after she had finally evolved into a Kirlia he took her on a contract so she could teleport to get him out once he was done. Here Skyna took the first real step to try in change Javok. He was using a high powered sniper rifle to take out his target during a speech, but before he was able to make his shot Skyna teleported them away to the safe spot. Enraged at the Kirlia for causing him to fail the contrat, Javok hit the Kirlia with such force it sent her flying back landing against a nearby tree breaking several of her bones. The assassin then turned to walk away and abandon the Kirlia, but he stop as he heard her crying. Turning around he looked down at the emotion Pokemon, and the Kirlia felt his emotions turn from pure anger to sorrow and regret. Javok leaned down and picked up the wounded Kirlia. He then said softly, "I'm sorry." As the Kirlia felt his emotions shift to shame, she threw her tiny arms around him the best she could in a hug. Javok was shocked by the hug that Skyna had painfully given him and was unable to do anything but stand there in shock. Javok then carried the Kirlia to the nearest
PokeCenter as quick as he could.
When Javok headed back to his organization's head quarters he took Skyna to a home for abused and abandoned Pokémon. Skyna had been sleeping when Javok dropped her off. She awoke just as Javok was walking out of the door. Seeing Javok leaving Skyna called out desperately, "Javok come back to Skyna." Both Javok and the caretaker at the house stood there in shock looking at the Pokémon who had just talked. Meanwhile the Kirlia lay there in the caretaker's arms reaching out to Javok repeating what she had said over and over as tears ran down her face. The caretaker took the wounded Pokemon back to Javok. Never before had Javok witnessed such loyalty or devotion to him. In one day Skyna had completely changed Javok forever.
Not long after this event Javok "quit" Death's Embrace and became a Pokémon trainer, but he was still protective of Skyna to the point he almost never used her in a fight. Javok treated Skyna like a close friend instead of just a Pokémon. In fact he stopped using her Pokeball and only keeps it as a keepsake item instead of using it to hold her inside.
Skyna evolved into a Gardevoir two months prior to Javok joining the resistance, and hasn't seen much fighting in her new form.
Moves: Teleport, Wish, Magic Leaf, and Psychic.
Species: Linoone
Nickname: Raghar
Gender: male
Level : 24
Distinct Marks: The brown stripes of fur are a bit darker than other Linoones.
Personality: Energetic, playful, and loves to find items to present to Javok or Skyna in hopes of getting a treat. Also has a bad habit of taking ANYTHING that isn't nailed to the ground to Javok. One night after joining the resistance, Javok woke up to a pile of random items Raghar had found or stolen from around the camp. Since then Raghar is left in his pokeball at night or when neither Javok nor Skyna can watch him.
History: Evolved from a Zigzagoon that was Javok's first ever captured from the wild Pokemon.
Moves: Mud Sport, Headbutt, Odor Sleuth, and Sand Attack
Species: Breloom
Nickname: Sivir "Friendly-Fire"
Gender: Male
Level: 25
Distinct Marks: The mushroom "hat" is shorter and wider than other Brelooms.
Personality: Cautious, careful, and seemingly always on the alert. If not in a battle with a Pokémon it can see in front of it Sivir is constantly looking around waiting for something to attack. Startling Sivir will get you a face full of spores or a punch or two to the gut. Worse part is that startling Sivir is extremely easy. For this reason (both Skyna and Javok have been victims to startling Sivir) Sivir stays in his pokeball unless needed for battle. When in battle with a Pokémon Sivir can see, he tends to be calmer oddly enough.
History: Javok's second caught Pokémon, which evolved from a Shroomish. Skyna named this Pokemon since Javok seemed to be set on naming the Shroomish "Ugly". After evolving to a Breloom, Javok soon stopped calling him "ugly" and now often calls him "Friendly-Fire" due to being attacked by the Breloom on several occasions after accidently startling him.
Moves: Mach Punch, Mega Drain, Stun Spore, and Leech Seed.
Species: Mawile
Nickname: Neli
Gender: Female
Level: 18
Distinct Marks: Her skirt is longer than other Mawiles and actually touches the ground hiding her feet completely. Her yellow patches are a little brighter yellow, and her black areas are actually a really dark grey instead of black.
Personality:
Neli is Javok's second most intelligent Pokémon, and loves to be the center of attention. She is selfish in her pursuit of attention and doesn't mind hurting or using others to get it. She often pulls stunts or acts to get Javok's attention, which have mixed results. One of her stunts involved trying to coax Rascal to give her a nugget he had found (knowing it was valuable). She finally just grabbed Rascal with her jaw and shook him until he dropped it. Javok took the gift thankfully and rewarded Neli with some berries that he usually used to reward Rascal. When the wounded Rascal showed up with something else, Javok instantly recognized the wounds to be from Neli. Since that day Rascal is hostile toward Neli, and will not get close to her if they are both outside their Pokeball. Rascal is not the only Pokémon of Javok that Neli has gotten on the wrong side of.
Neli sees Skyna as a rival since the Gardevoir constantly gets Javok's attention. Neli doesn't realize the connection Skyna has to Javok, and that Neli will never be able to match that. Neli will often try to steal attention away from Skyna when the Gardevoir and trainer are talking by pulling some stunt or being a nuisance. Neli once took a stunt too far and was able to get her hands on Skyna's Pokeball and figured out how to recall her. This plan back fired badly since Javok ignored Neli while he desperately searched for Skyna. When Rascal exposed Neli was hiding the Pokeball, Javok recalled Neli to her Pokeball and didn't let her out for two weeks. Since then Skyna also has a dislike for Neli, and Javok is less tolerant of her stunts now.
In battle Neli tries to outperform Javok's other Pokémon and strives to always put on a good showing to impress everyone. Also out of Javok's Pokémon Neli is the least loyal, and might be willing to try in abandon Javok if she found a trainer who made her the center of their attention.
History:
The fourth (and for now last) Pokémon Javok caught. Neli lured Skyna, then a Kirlia, in by crying and acting wounded. After snapping down on the concerned Kirlia using the "jaws" Neli received the poor end of the deal as she found herself being surrounded by Javok and his other two Pokémon he had just called out to help save Skyna. Scared of the Mawile hurting Skyna more, Javok used a great ball (didn't have any normal ones on him) to "capture" the Mawile so Skyna would be freed without hurting the Mawile, which might in turn hurt the Kirlia even more. To Javok's surprise he ended up catching the Mawile who decided not to resist because if she did there would be three Pokémon waiting to battle her once she was free.
Moves: Astonish, Fake Tears, Bite, and Sweet Scent.
Species: Human (considered Pseudo-Legendary, and has the same move pool as a Scizor)
Name: Javok
Gender: Male
Level: 37
Personality and History are listed above.
Javok's Moves:
Metal Claw*, Slash, Agility, and Iron Defense*
* Some moves might not visually match up to their title but they do the same damage and have the same affects: An example of this would be Metal Claw. Since Javok doesn't have a claw he "uses Metal Claw" when he strikes a single target with his sword.
