~The Remains of Haeven~

The scientist never said where he was from.

He had expected it to be more a point of contention. He had expected to be questioned and prodded. He'd brought official enough looking documents, but it seemed he hadn't needed them. The world needed help and Haeven had a plan. They had the DNA, they even had a Mega stone, but they didn't have the kind of technology needed to complete the cloning process.

He did.

This scientist claimed to have extensive knowledge of the making of clones; he could sing for them eloquent lines of theory and science and equations with ease. He said that he feared what would happen if Mewtwo was left unchecked and had heard of their plan. It was brilliant, he chimed, but to start from scratch would require so much research on their part that the whole of Yoko would be gone by the time they were done. He claimed he could better.

He was granted a sample by the eager scientists and at his request was also given a chunk of the creature's Mega stone, large enough to easily serve as a Mega stone by itself. He thanked them and told them they wouldn't be disappointed. He told them he would get back to them soon.

And the moment he was out of the city, Meryle Gray grinned like the Cheshire Cat.

The Haeven scientists thought nothing of lending the strange man some of the samples.
It wasn't until days later they realized their mistake. They frantically searched for any information about the man. They had even forgotten to ask his name, something so obvious was overlooked in the excitement of a possible way of saving the day. They were unable to find anything about the man, save for a recording of him leaving the building. The expression on his face said it all, they had been duped.
They ran his face through their facial recognition software, no matches. They showed the recording to security guards and police officers, no sightings. He had vanished from the face of the planet, no trace of him ever being here except for the video.
Unable to find him, they turned back to their work. Eventually, after much begging and pleading they were allowed by the king to mine and use metal from Magma Cave to create their devices. The powerful psychic waves that the metal gave off vastly improved the speed of their work and provided a powerful tool for manipulating the cloned cells. They were close to cracking the code.
All they had gotten so far was a bunch of mutant dittos, but each one had come closer and closer to having a clearly defined shape and mew-like features. In a few more days or even hours they would have it. As long as they remained undisturbed they would have a mew by the next day.
But luck was not on their side, something huge was about to happen that would change how Haeven viewed the world. Something that they never thought would happen. Something unpredictable.
They were attacked.

The Haeven scientists thought they were close to cloning a mew. But just as fast as they had built the machines their hopes were dashed. "WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE?" A uniformed man practically yelled. "I-I-I am..." Stuttered a short man in a lab-coat. "TAKE THIS ALL DOWN NOW!" the man said in a commanding tone. "B-but sir!" The short scientist complained. "We've worked so hard, and we are SO close!" "WHO ARE YOU KIDDING! THE CLOSEST YOU'VE COME IS A DITTO WITH EARS!" The scientist blushed, he thought if he pretended they were close to getting a mew then the government would continue funding his project. In reality they were nowhere near getting a mew. "SCRAP THESE MONSTROSITIES AND SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!" At that sentence the room went silent. The ditto looked angry, the sound of the machines slowed to a stop. Within seconds the ditto escaped, oosing through their cages and jumping at scientists. They screamed, they ran, they even fought back, but it was no use. The ditto were huge in number and had an increased strength due to their small amount of mew genetics. But just when they thought all was lost a mew burst through the doors and mega-evolved, filling the air with a glorious light. Even the ditto stared in amazement at the wondrous pokemon that floated before them. "MEW!" It let out a cry as it shot aura-spheres at the ditto, occasionally switching to psychic blasts. Within a minute all of the ditto were subdued and placed in glass pods. It was then they saw the silhouette of a man standing behind the mew.

Haeven will be celebrating it's annual Fall Festival starting this weekend. Come enjoy the fun! We will be playing fun games, as well as naming some of our cities. Everyone is invited to join in on these activities! We will also be announcing the discovery of a bunch of new pokemon in the region as well as trying to find homes for a bunch of pokemon. During this event you can pick any pokemon from the region as your starter! The opening to the festival will start on October 3rd. Anyone who would like to participate please say so! I'd like to get a rough estimate on how many people will be participating so I can plan the games and events based on the amount of people interested. More information on the lore behind the event as well as activities will be announced during the opening ceremonies.

Welcome everyone to the first event! During this event we will be naming our starter city! This city is marked with the number one on the map and is the starting-point of a journey through the region. It holds the Twisted Tower, it is built on the location of the region's first building to commemorate the start of construction of the region. The twisted tower is also home to many wild pokemon, the doors and windows are left open to the outside and the inside of the building is a greenhouse filled with exotic plants. This is the building where most trainers from the town will befriend their first pokemon. Because of this, each trainer's first pokemon will be vastly different from the last. Some legends even tell of a mythical pokemon that lives within the heart of the tower, giving life and peace to all pokemon who reside within it's walls.

The town is also known for the many vending carts that roam throughout its streets. They sell everything from berries to ribbons. Many people come to the city purely for its many shops and businesses. Prices in the town are cheap but the quality of the products is high due to plenty of competing businesses. The houses and carts are all painted in bright, neon colors and decorated year-round with ribbon and flowers. The major items exported out of this town include ribbon, fabric, costumes/clothing, flowers, and various other hand-crafted goods.

The Game Of Albion:

The Game Of Albion is inspired by feudal Europe, with kings, knights, and castles, while also combining pokemon and adventure. Each player will start the game with a small group of settlers, whose aim is to create a kingdom and control as much land as possible. These groups are made up of various pokemon and respond to your command.

Each week you will be able to command each pokemon to do something, and at the end of the week, Friday, the results of the week will be posted in the thread.

Each week, the group with the most land and power will receive the title of Grand Ruler. The title of Grand Ruler not only grants you bragging rights, but also increases your pokemons' work ethic and luck for the week. This title is hard to keep, as everyone will be striving to take it away from you. They might even go as far as combining their empire with another in order to knock you off your pedestal.
