  • Um. Well, h-hello! My name is Gina, I'm a citizen of the Oceia. It is nice to meet you, Miss Viveka...! I'd love to answer your questions! I want people to know more about Oceia! I will start then,

What's your favourite place in Oceia? Why?
It would Circin City but that's the place I work on! My choice will be Piktrik City. I love the place solely for its arts! They have so many fine craft, they deal with so many artworks! It's a beautiful place to tour!

How do you feel about your government? Do you feel like they represent the people well?
(hums) Mister Pie is a great man! He's helpful and nice, I'm glad to have him as our President! He represents the good of Oceia!

What Pokémon do you have? How did you end up being partners?
I have a Remguis, Orcadow and Bergmite. Remguis is my first Pokemon ever since he was a Specturn, he's been with me a long time. I have gotten Orcadow from an accident, he was very kind and I was surprised he didn't fight to get free from the Pokeball! I received Bergmite when he was just an egg, he came from a gift. I'm very grateful to have them by my side.

What do you do as an occupation? What do you do in your free time?
I'm one of the Safari Staff! I spend time with the Safari Pokemon, I check them time to time to make sure everything is alright. My free time is spending on more of my occupation, I love my job!

What's the best thing about living in Oceia?
The Pokemon are lovely and rare in other regions. We are also very friendly and we do not mind visitors! Please do not cause a ruckus however. The region is really lovely.

Any other interesting things I should know?
I do not think so...? I have no interesting things to tell. I apologize.

Is the interview over? Oh, I was a wreck! (giggles) I'm glad to have been interviewed, I hope to help the Oceia- ah! I hope that I have been of help to you, Miss Viveka, it's so nerve-wracking... but I'm really glad, thank you!

What's your favourite place in Oceia? Why?

Piktrik City! They have the best boutiques and clothing stores, made by the best artistic hands (I have experienced those hands firsthand *wink*) and creative minds. I love the city; it's beautiful and aesthetically amazing. There's also a colourful and diverse nightlife.

How do you feel about your government? Do you feel like they represent the people well?
I think the government is quite okay, like, I don't quite have a head for politics (but I've yet to receive complaints about my head) so I'm easily pleased. Except for that one guy – Stony Abbort was it? – sitting in the parliament with the rest. He's such a bigot; I hope he loses.

What Pokémon do you have? How did you end up being partners
Raven is my sleek groomed Corvace; this Lilligant over here is Miss Bianca; and Raja is my ace Blizlock. Raja was the first pokemon I started out with. I caught Raven as a Contib; a hungry little bird looking for food. Last but not the least, I encountered Miss Bianca while she was just a wee Petilil when I went to stay for a few days at a farm stay in Cassiope.

What do you do as an occupation? What do you do in your free time?
I'm a Pokémon trainer; I battle for a living! In my free time, I love shopping. I'm a shoe maniac, and I just like styling myself up, together with my Pokémon. We look pretty kickass and that sometimes helps us win, when our opponent is intimidated right off the bat.

What's the best thing about living in Oceia?
I wanna say the hot boys, but then again, I've never traveled to other regions. The biodiversity here sure is something!

Any other interesting things I should know?
Are you free for a battle?

  • Just thought I'd mention this here so everyone can see, but I have decided that answering interview questions is now going to earn you 100 opals. Also the lowercase "o" representing the opal has now been changed to since it looks nicer.

There's also a some new news updates going up soon which will be easily accessible from a link in the first post in the thread.

Finally, I should get some more work on Oceian cities and towns done soon and I do have a map on the way.

    War Council
"This is not good" President G. Pie said to his assembled advisors in the government building of Velia City. Several noteworthy intellectuals, trainers and military personnel stood in his office. Only a matter of hours ago had he heard from the nearby Ceriah region of Mewtwo's sudden appearance in the Yoko region and his subsequent attack upon the world. "I have sent word already to our ambassadors in Theseus and Dulra and I will be in contact with other allies through various means. Right now though, I am of the opinion that we need to fortify Oceia and possibly send aid to Sanctuare first and foremost."

A man in his thirties with bizarre violet hair spoke up from near the forefront of the room, his hands in the pockets of his gold-brown cargos.
"I'm all for fortifying Oceia and maybe helping out Sanctuare first. Our other allies are more than capable of dealing with the incoming attacks right now." The president nodded at the man, he was no soldier but Carter of the elite four was a powerful trainer and a surprisingly intelligent man, even if he mostly seemed to be rather apathetic.

A grizzled general spoke up also, a familiar face to the President.
"The military will begin preparations to reinforce Oceia's cities then. I think our biggest concerns are probably Circin, Cignia and Velia since they're all major cities right on the coast and whilst the mines at Doradon City are a concern, most of the city is pretty much underground anyway and it nowhere near the cost."

As the discussions, and often debates, continued a young man sat in a chair in the corner of the room, running his fingers through his black and red-streaked hair. He had been sent as an advisor from Circin City's lab but had said very little to the war council yet. Still, he had a suggestion that might provide them with some much needed firepower.
"I have an idea" the young man finally said, just loudly enough for the new voice to attract the rooms attention.
"Who might you be?" the grizzled general from before questioned, looking sceptical.
"My name is Zayne Alta, I'm a representative from the Ciricn City pokemon lab. I specialise in mythology."
"Well I don't see what mythology has to do with defending our nation."
"Let the man speak Siegfried" the President interjected, curious as to what such an unusual advisor could offer.
"Well" Zayne said with a smirk "Mythology very well could have everything to do with defending our nation. Have any of you ever heard of Arisuis?"

Report from the Oceia News Network
A news helicopter flew over the sea to the north-east of Oceia, keeping its distance from the screams of fury, terror and pain. Ahead of the helicopter squadrons of flying-typed pokemon soared amongst each other whilst soldiers directed the Oceian pokemon from military helicopters or otherwise tried to shoot down the clown aggressors. In the vast blue below, strands of red could be seen floating amongst the water as a naval battle occurred.

A young woman sat in front of a cameraman, wearing a headset complete with a microphone. At the indication of a third individual out of the view of the camera, also wearing a headset, she begun to speak.
"Hello! This is Talisha McCoy reporting live from the battlefield in the seas north-east of the Oceian coast!" the blonde lady said loudly "Early this morning the Oceian navy reported the incoming legion of clone pokemon and immediately begun defensive operations. Since then reinforcements for both sides have arrived and the small battle has become a large-scale conflict."

Talisha paused for a brief moment whilst the camera angle changed to display a panning shot of naval battle below. Letting the image take effect on those watching the report before she begun to continue speaking.
"As of yet no land-based clones have been seen in the area, the enemy faction consisting solely of powerful aerial and marine pokemon. Amongst the enemy pokemon we have identified large numbers of Talonflame, Honchkrow and Skarmory as well as smaller numbers of Dragonite, Salamence and Aerodactyl in the air. The naval forces seem to primarily be composed of Gyarados, Seaking, Gorebyss, Huntail and Quilfish but several other species have been seen. At this stage Oceia's formidable navy seems to be having little difficulty repelling the marine clones, however our air force is struggling to repel the clone army at this stage. With me is military correspondent, Lieutenant Samuel Smith, who is here to give me his take on the situation.

The cameraman turned to show the fourth headset-wearing person crammed into the back of the helicopter, this particular individual dressed in the standard military uniform of Oceia.
"Lieutenant Smith," Talisha begun "Care to give the people at home a more professional analysis?"
"Well Talisha" the man began, also speaking loudly to be heard properly over the noise of spinning rotors "The navy well and truly has things under control below us and is undeniably winning the battle at sea and whilst it is true that our air force is struggling somewhat they are still successfully repelling aerial aggressors. In the meantime further countermeasures are being prepared. If we weren't confident in the outcome of this battle, there is no way that we would be allowing civilians even this distance away from the battle."

Talisha nodded her head at the lieutenant
"I see. Does this mean that claims of Oceia's military being to widely spread amongst our allies are unfounded?"
"That is correct. The Oceian mi-" the soldier begun, but was cut off by the helicopter suddenly shaking violently. Suddenly a Dragonite appeared outside the helicopter in a blur, opening it's mouth wide a Hyper Beam already being prepared.
"What the hell is this!?" the cameraman screamed falling back away from the edge of the helicopter.
"It shouldn't have gotten though!" the soldier yelled, unable to hide the fear in his voice. With a loud cry an Oceian Noivern suddenly appeared, ramming into the side of the Dragonite and knocking it off-balance, it's dangerous attack flying up and narrowly missing the helicopter. The Noivern launched a furious attack against the larger dragon whilst it was still unable to fight back, but it didn't last long. The Dragonite soon recovered and lashed out at the Noivern, sinking its teeth into its neck and shaking its head from side to side, shattering it's foes spine before tossing it aside, the Noivern's limp body falling towards the waves below.

"Get us out of here!" Talisha screamed, but it was too late for the stunned pilot to react. The Dragonite returned its attention to the helicopter, opening its mouth and firing an orange blast of energy into it. There was an explosion and then the signal was lost as debris and bodies fell towards the sea to join the fallen Noivern.

    Arisuis
Zayne Alta, the Oceian researcher, had sat in the shadows for most of his professional life. He made enough to get by assisting the scientists at the Circin City lab whilst he quietly studied his own preferred area of interest – Oceia's myths and legends and the truths behind them – in the background. He had produced many theories and found out a lot, but he generally kept fairly quiet about things. Indeed, any notice he got in the scientific community was for his contributions to the work of others.

Times have changed however. Whilst conducting his research Zayne had found something astonishing, an incredible, and soon undisputable, fact that would shake Oceia to its core. It was this single piece of information that had driven him to contribute to the war council, using his scientific connections to gain entry. Some of the people there had laughed at his suggestion, but he paid that no mind. A powerful legendry pokemon and its army, their own military spread thinly between their allies, was attacking them. It made sense then, to defend their orders with the aid of another powerful entity whilst their army assisted the rest of the United Regions.

He had set off from Circin by boat, several naval officers along with him to help he and his pokemon should they come under attack, which sure enough they had. A swarm of Tentacruel and Sharpedo had attacked the boat, perhaps predicting what Zayne intended to do. Even as he dived deeper, alone to preserve the exact locations secrecy, pokemon such as Cetassion, Seaking and Pristion were holding the enemy at bay whilst Zayne's own water-type of choice – a Feraligatr he had caught in a far-off region – carried him to his destination, handling any clones tat managed to get passed his defenders in the process.

Zayne, carried by his Feraligatr, soon enough reached Miracle Reef. They had no time to be transfixed by its beauty however. No, they had a job to do. They searched along the base of the reef until they found a crevice. His pokemon just fitting through the gap, Zayne headed downwards through a rocky tunnel for several metres before it levelled out and went straight for a ways.

Eventually, the duo reached the end of the tunnel, emerging into a chamber of shimmering blues. It was a beautiful sight to behold, but nearly as breathtaking as the elegant serpentine form resting coiled in the centre.
"Arisuis," Zayne said through his breathing apparatus "I've found one of you at last."

    A Legend Arises
The once crystal clear seas around Oceia were now crimson, littered with debris and destruction. Shortly after Oceia's news helicopter went down, the clone armada completely wiped out the Oceian airforce. Reinforcements had been called, however the military had been spread thin by UR operations and it would take time to organise a counterstrike.

With the air under clone control, it didn't take long for the situation on the sea to become dire. Unable to cope with the combined threats of naval attacks from cloned water-types as well as furious attacks from above, the Oceain navy's numbers dwindled. The Oceains and their pokemon fought hard, with valour and bravery, but even their resolve was beginning to falter as more of their comrades fell and the situation began to look even bleaker. It was starting to seem very much as though the clones would conquer Oceia's coastline.

Hordes of Gyarados bombarded ships with brutal Hyper Beams, the orange blasts of energy cleaving open hulls, causing water and invading clones to flood into sinking ships. From above, Dragonites and Talonflame dived down, hitting soldiers and pokemon alike hard with Brave Birds and Dragon Rushes. The navy's Orcadow were a fearsome force, able to repel the weaker clones with ease but their dwindling numbers could not take Gyarados easily and this was causing lesser enemies to slip passed into Oceian territory. On the decks of ships, Monoxious and Luxray fought furiously to try and deflect their aerial assaulters, launching torrents of lightning and water at their flying foe for maximum damage. The clones were quickly overwhelming them and defeat seemed imminent.

That was when it happened, a spout of shimmering water exploded between the clones and the Oceian navy, showering a sudden rain down upon them all, and from inside the towering torrent an elegant serpentine form appeared. Ribbons of pure white billowed from its slender body; it's scales shimmering in wave-like patterns of different blue hues. It's eyes were sharp, vivid gold, bespeaking great intelligence and wisdom. Arisuis seemed to radiate power from the very core of its being.

    Spoiler:

From above the clone armada descended but they could not best the powerful legendary pokemon. An enormous wave rose from behind Arisuis, and towering over everything in sight, before falling over the top of the descending fliers and throwing them into the ocean. The Gyarados attacked next, unleashing their Hyper Beams at the legendary serpent. No harm came to Arisuis however; a fuchsia barrier erupted into being around Oceia's defender, the Protect not faltering an inch even under the combined strength of the Gyarados. Other clones joined the assault, showering Hydro Pumps and Ice Beams onto its barrier but nothing got through. Soon the attacks stopped and it was Arisuis' turn to strike back.

The barrier faded and a similar Fuchsia light begun to glow in front of the serpent's jaw. The ball of energy continued to grown, glowing more fiercely as it expanded until with a near-musical cry Arisuis unleashed an enorumous and powerful blast of energy towards the enemy. In an instant so many of the attackers the navy had struggled to hold back were totally defeated, the enemy force was now the one with dwindling numbers and a seemingly unconquerable adversary. Arisuis had risen from its slumber and with it holding the line, Oceia's borders were safer than they had ever been. The clones would not penetrate further into Oceian territory.
