Trainer Class: Dúlran Ambassador
Pokémon: Pidgeot (Mega Capable), Taiemu, Happiny

Trainer Information: Originating from the region of Dúlra and serving as the nation of purity's representative and ambassador in Oceia, Ardan arrived with only his Pidgeot at his side but has since befriended a wandering Taiemu he met on an expedition and has hatched a Happiny from an egg. The bangle that holds back his wild red hair is socketed with a mega-stone and can be used to ascend his partner, Pidgeot, to a mega state. His main goal is to represent Dúlra in Oceian affairs and to put a smile onto the faces of those he meets. He currently resides in Velia city, living comfortably in the Dúlran national embassy.

Trading with Santuare

The Water Purification System

"Ah, Miss Massina I presume!" a man in a simple black suit said to a woman who had just arrived at the small port near the western edge of Circin City, holding a hand out to shake the woman's as she disembarked from a dirty grey, industrial-looking ship.
"That is correct." The woman replied in a cold, professional tone quite different from the friendly and casual demeanour of the Oceian man.
"Pleased to meet you, my name is Colin Chandler. I work under the President and handle foreign affairs matters when he is unavailable. Mr. Pie regrets that he was unable to be here himself, however he is in the middle of some deliberations with the President of the Thesseus Region."
"I understand," said the woman, looking at a group of large glass containers. Within said container, several blue and white pokemon moved about in what seemed to be snow. "This is all of them?"

Colin fought the urge to sigh; he hated working with the ones like this Massina woman. It seemed all to often that foreign dignitaries were all business and forgot how to be human being in the process of their work.
"That is correct I'm afraid" Colin said, giving Massina a pleasant smile "Snowster and Blizzlock are not particularly common here either, so this small number is all we could reasonably spare. As you can see they are most comfortable in cold and snowy environments, but they are perfectly capable of surviving in more normal temperatures."
"We'll take them now then, or is there something else?" Massina said, barely acknowledging the information that Colin and given her.
"As far as the pokemon go, that's about it."
"Excellent, then let us be off. A team of specialists is currently deploying the water purification device in the water between your Miracle Reef and the Santuare Region."

An Alliance is Born!

A man entered a restaurant in Circin City and sat on a seat near to the window. A server approached him and poured cold water into a glass, drinking a glass of cold water in the Oceia heat felt like the greatest luxury on earth. He called back the server and ordered his food as the ice fell against the glass, his fingers sliding on the condensation before his fingers regain their grip. Seven Abernathy felt the chill run down his esophagus and his head made an involuntary shake. It's the reverse of the winter time, when all he wanted is the feel the heat of good coffee come through a thick clay mug. When the glass is drained he took the ice between his molars and bit hard, feeling it melt into cold pools on his palate.

He smiled as his food arrived, and one more region allied.

Trading with Santuare/Wild Pokemon Frenzy

Undersea Assault

They swam carefully around the large sphere, reaching within crevices to tweak the machine's setting and prepare its interior. The this was the last thing the team of twelve divers, nine from Santuare and three from Oceia had to do before the purifier would be online.

The purifier itself was actually a network of devices, all powered by a central computer. The main computer was located on shore, the spheres floating around Oceia's coast were all purifiers that held steady in place or could be moved thanks to a sophisticated propulsion system. How exactly the devices functioned, only the technicians really understood, but it had something to do with destroying pollutants at a molecular level.

One of the Santuarian divers could be heard over a radio device
"This should just about do it." He said to his fellow technicians and Oceian guides "All that's left is to test the receivers to make sure they're picking up on commands from the main computer. Right then le-what the hell was that!" It had been hard to see underwater because of it colouration, but a very large pokemon with white-grey skin and dark blue markings had swum passed the diver. Instinctively he whirled around quickly, and to his horror he saw several of the creatures swimming around the spheres. The majority of the other Sanctuarian divers also seemed unnerved by the creatures.

"Don't worry about these guys" an Oceian guide spoke "It's a pod of Orcadow, they're probably just curious about the filters. They're powerful pokemon, but they won't hurt anyone as long as you don't bother the-AHHHH!" the guide's comforting words lost all effect as one of the Orcadow lunged forward abruptly, it's eyes glowing a vivid red, and latched onto the diver's arm with razor blade teeth. There was a brief minute of shocked silence, save for the lone man's screams, as the Orcadow tore through the man, shredding him as though he was made of paper. Then more screams came as the rest of the pod dove forward, dying the ocean red with the blood of the divers.

Wild Pokemon Frenzy

Report from the Oceia News Network

A man and woman dressed in neat business attire sat in front of a curved desk on-set and ready to deliver the news from ONN HQ in Cignia City. Then their cue was given and it was time to get to work.

"Good evening and welcome to the Oceia News Networks Six O'Clock News. I'm Gina Blake and this is my co-anchor Timothy Scowl. Today diplomatic relations with the neighbouring Sanctuare region were marred by the loss of twelve divers who were in the finishing stages of setting up Oceia's new water-purification device provided by the Santuarian government.

Video recordings of the attack taken from on-board videos attached to the purification system were horrifying, demonstrating a small pod of Orcadow brutally dismembering and killing the entire dive team, consisting of three Oceian guides and nine Santuarian technicians, in what is the first recorded serious pokemon attack in nearly twenty years - the first involving Orcadow in fifty. Perhaps more disturbing still is that similar attacks have been reported in our allied nations of Thessius and Dulra, as well as several other regions world-wide including the aforementioned Santuare. In all instances, the aggressive pokemon have displayed glowing red eyes. We now cross to Talisha McCoy who is interviewing Pokemon behaviour expert Leroy McGill on the beach of Route 005."

To those viewing the news, the scene then quickly changed to display a pretty, young blonde woman standing on the sandy shores of the very beach from which the Santuarian ship had arrived at earlier in the day. Next to her stood a rotund man with a thick beard.
"Mr McGill" she asked "You have said earlier in a public statement that Orcadow are generally not aggressive animals. What is your current perspective on the situation?"

The man straightened up his back and spoke into the microphone held before his face.
"Just as I said in my earlier statement," the man said in a surprisingly eloquent tone "What occurred earlier today is a tragedy that should never have happened. Alas, it is extremely unusual for Orcadow to act so violently towards humans despite the power we know they are gifted with. Orcadow are an elusive species of pokemon and although they are indeed formidable, they tend to be more inquisitive to humans encroaching on their home in the sea than aggressive and they certainly have never attacked human beings without warning. What is stranger still, is that this is only the first of several incidents today in which pokemon have begun acting aggressively. I have heard reports involving flocks of Contib and Corvace dive-bombing tourists visiting the Aquilus lookout and of ghost-types terrorising mourners in the Piktrik cemetery. What is most startling however, is that all of these attacks involve pokemon with mysteriously red glowing eyes. To me this suggests some sort of outside influence, although what that could possibly be I am unsure.

Rest assured though, so long as we exercise caution the death toll should not exceed any more than twelve sad losses we have already experienced and myself and my team will work tirelessly alongside the Oceain government to get to the bottom of the terrible occurrence."

Talisha nodded at Leroy McGill before turning to face the the camera again
"That it from our expert Mr. Leroy McGill, back to you in the studio."

The anchorwoman now spoke once more
"Indeed several other attacks have occurred, but thankfully none so severe as with the tragic deaths of the Oceia-Santuare dive team. The President so far has been unable to comment on these disturbing events as he has been busy engaged in discussion with other regions over the attacks since hearing them. His office however, along with the ONN, extends their sincerest sympathy towards the families and friends of those who died today and we wish them luck in finding solace in this troubling time. I'm now going to hand you over to my co-anchor, who will cover events in the stock market as we work on the implementation of a new Oceian currency."

We have finished constructing a tall transmitter tower to intercept this "signal" that you have found to be the cause of the Pokemon's unruly behavior. We situated it in Beryl City, in the heart of Raviae, home of Theseus' technology.

As of this moment, it is active. And we would like you to know that we spared no expenses in building this tower if you think it will solve our current problem - only the finest steel lattice and tubular steel were used.

Wild Pokemon Frenzy

Tower Defence

At first the attacks of Contib and Corvace flocks had been nothing more than a nuisance, but now the landscape of the Oceian desert looked like a scene from a nightmarish horror movie as an enormous armada of midnight black birds all but blotted out the blue of the sky, painting the ground below in an eerie shadow.

Immediately upon hearing word of the effectiveness of the tower from Theseus, Oceia had put forth an immediate request for schematics and materials to produce a tower of their own in the wilderness northwest of Aquilus Town – a town famous for the numbers of flying types in the area. Now swarms of not only Contib and Corvace but also Duxaven plagued the men, women and pokemon working on the tower. Offensively, even Duxaven was not an immensely powerful pokemon, however a huge contingent of these pokemon on the offense was terrifying to behold. The flying-types dived from above in squadrons, using their powerful talons and beaks to rend flesh from bone and tear at eyes and tongues.

What was worse, several small tribes of Emvy, Taiemu and even a few Cassowarria had joined the fray, lashing out with horrifying snaps of their beaks and mutilating kicks with their powerful, clawed feet. Even as the murder of fliers above dived down on the workers and their pokemon, the ground-based pokemon ran amongst them at high speeds shattering bones and piercing organs. The bird pokemon that usuall fascinated tourists through Aquilus were now a terrifying army, staining the dirt with blood. The entity behind the attacks knew that efforts were being made to combat it, it had felt its slave's defeat and death in Santuare and its loss of control in Theseus and it could feel Oceia rebelling against its will and it had summoned forth a legion to massacre those that dared oppose it.

Even as scientists, engineers and technicians hurried about the structure, connecting wires and dishes and working to readying computers, soldiers and pokemon on the ground fought to fend off the attacking flying-type army. Thunderbolts, Ice Beams flew into the sky to strike down aerial attackers even as hails of stone flew about closer to the ground in attempts to deflect the ground troops. The small group defending the tower was easily and quickly being overwhelmed though. High up on the tower a Contib pulled out a mans tongue, only for a Duxaven to grip him with its talons, digging deep into his shoulder blades, and swooping him off the edge to drop him to his death. On the ground a Lairon's seemingly impenetrable steel body was caved in by the kicks of a Cassowaria, it's trainer screaming on the ground as she was dissected by a group of Emvy. All around the frightful scene, fates such as those were being met and it was only a matter of time before the tower's defenders were defeated and the structure toppled.

The Oceia region's president had hoped that a covert mission wouldn't attract this "Mewtwo's" attention, however it now seemed that this had been foolish. He had ordered immediate reinforcements be sent to the tower, but they were too far off and too much blood was being shed. The build team had to finish the tower before their protectors were totally overwhelmed, but this seemed a bleak prospect. For hours upon hours they toiled and fought, with success imminent but progress painfully slow. Below the scientists the last of the soldiers and their pokemon fell, screaming as their feathered attackers ripped apart their bodies. The tower workers were frantic; they were running out of time. Several of them released pokemon of their own and picked up tools to defend themselves with. Fighting not just for their lives, but likely the lives of the entire region.

The slaughter continued, bodies of both people and pokemon falling from the tower in droves. Only four scientists remained huddled in a small group around a control panel. A squadron of fliers dived for them even as a group of Taiemu hurried up the last of the distance between the control panel and the tribes. It was then that a finger was slammed on a button, and an pulse of blue light erupted outwards from the tower, knocking away the frenzied pokemon with their terrible, glowing red eyes. The shadow above the tower begun to disperse, stars now sitting in the sky flittering dim light down to the ground below and revealing groups of confused pokemon standing amongst a field of corpses.

Much damage had been done to not just Oceia, but the world, but now at least it seemed the ordeal was over with the tower operational. It was time now for preparation… and later retaliation.

(You will find her trembling until she lands on ground)

She will try as she might, do her best to avoid getting on water whenever possible. Though her fear of water made her give up that dream, she found something worth a job at the Safari Zone and is one of the trusted colleague the Safari has.

Information: When Peter was a kid, he always loved the ocean, and the water-type Pokémon! One day he found an injured Domore on the beach! The Domore was very weak and his senses were failing him! Peter took care of that Domore, healed its wounds and gave it affection! From that day, Peter swore he would take care of all the water-type Pokémon when needed and respect them! (The Domore evolved to Cetassion meanwhile, if you didn't notice)

The National Oceian Bank

Introduction

The Oceia National Bank is now open with introduction of Oceia's new currency the Opal, styalised as (ie. 200). With this a whole new rewards system has been born in Oceia with your character's team acting as your trophy cabinet.

Every trainer that joins the Oceia region will begin with 200. By engaging in various tasks activities or events you will be able to earn more opals. Opals can be used to buy evolutionary items, expand your team, evolve or "capture" pokemon with the goal being to capture every pokemon found in the Oceia region (excluding legendary pokemon).

Earning Opals

There are several ways to expand upon your starting funds in Oceia. They are listed below

Write about Oceia – Using Oceia as the subject for fan fiction posts will earn you 300. Link to those posts in this thread.
Produce Oceia-themed artwork – This can be any kind of art, just link to it here and you will earn 400.
Bonus Points – Particularly active participation or exemplary creations may earn you bonus money.
Participation in events – The rewards here will depend on the event.
Participate in battles – Winning a Showdown battle against a fellow Oceian will entitle you to 100 of your opponent's money.
Participate in gym battles – More on this later.
Answer interview questions - Participating in media interviews about Oceia will earn you 100
