    Ever had writers block?

Well if you haven't I congratulate you for knowing what to write when to write it. But being a perplexing individual, to myself sometimes, I would like to ask what do you do to get inspired? What got you motivated to put your stories on fonts and what's the nagging force that keeps you doing it?
    Just curious.

When I get writers block I used to go take a shower or play video games. Bathrooms are where a lot of good ideas come in and after I got a waterproof case for my phone it just seemed that taking a shower or bath was one of the best things that I could do. Now that I've got some pretty nice headphones (around $150 for my current pair. I've got ones coming in here in a few days that were $300, needless to say I'm really excited about that. but I'm getting sidetracked now) I prefer to put them on and turn out all the lights in the room, turn off the fans and the a/c or heat or whatever else I have on, basically trying to isolate myself as much as I can and then I put on some tunes. I try to never listen to the same thing more than a few times though because then it can start to influence your thoughts rather than just instigate them. Once I was listening to this entire album on repeat for a good few hours and was typing some ideas that were popping into my head as I did and the longer I listened to those same songs the more I ended up incorporating their fragmented lyrics into the ideas that I had. Not exactly a good though, but not entirely bad either depending on the material. Long story short, I just open up spotify and either pick someone's playlist of the day or randomly choose a band from one of my own playlists and start a radio based off of them. Classical/instrumental, rap and metal seem to be the best for what I try to write about at least.

Pfft. I always have writer's block. I usually just end up having to force myself to write until it eventually leaves me alone. If there's one thing that can inspire me, it's the things around me. It's also music that inspires me as well. I get inspired by commercials, TV shows, movies... whatever. I've always tried to be really open about these things because anything helps towards overcoming writer's block for me. If I really feel the need to write, I have a blog that helps keep my motivated too.

I've had writers block sure. I'm pretty sure every writer has experienced it to some extent. I find that the best thing for writers block is just to take a break from writing and to chill. Listen to some music, watch a movie or play some games - juggle flaming chainsaws if that's your thing. Just to something that can stimulate (but not overstimulate) your brain in a different way to writing and come back once you're in a better frame of mind. Writing becomes hardest when you're trying to force it to happen.

More often that writers block where you have no ideas though, I have the opposite happen. My brain is constantly churning out ideas but I often have trouble turning those thoughts into words.

When I have writer's block, I look at the content I've been consuming and ask myself what is missing that the world should see. What ideas have been left unearthed? What hidden gems can I dig up? What has been overlooked, forgotten, their stories untold?

Or what can I bring to the table? Something personal, that only I can experience or share? It's usually how I begin writing poetry if I'm dry. We all have something deep inside us that we want to say. But we must find it.

Writer's block is awful! When I get it, I tend to have a break from writing. Listen to inspiring songs, go for a walk, do the dishes... or just drop the story for a day or two to free up my mind a bit. It doesn't often last very long. I once discovered what I needed to do to get past a really tough spot was redo a massive chunk of the previous chapter. I wasn't happy with it at all. Once I'd done that and re-written it to a much more agreeable standard, the plot started to flow again.

I have to admit that I have writer's block right now. :| I'm having a hard time getting through it at the moment. It's frustrating because I do feel like writing, but when I get to doing it... nothing comes out at all. It's extremely infuriating, and I have no idea what to do to overcome it either. x____x I'm limited a lot in my writing abilities as well, which doesn't help matters...

I've had a lot of cases of writer's block. Especially when people really require me to write RP posts and I'm simply just clueless for how to continue haha.

I've found that simply jotting ideas and loose words down, can help. Just brainstorm a bit and then let the words you see yourself write down form new paths for your story.
