Name: Anthony Summers
Gender: Male
Age: 14
Region: Hoenn

Appearance:
Anthony is five foot two. He has short black hair that grows to be straight; however he often cuts it as he doesn't like it long. He is thinking about shaving his head. He has brown eyes and wears black thick rimmed glasses. He use be very pale, but now he is slightly tan from the traveling he has done. He has, medium sized, elfish looking ears. He is thinking about getting a tattoo that says: "I am in the now" somewhere on his body. However, he has mostly agreed that he would get one when he is much older. He is skinny, but has some muscle unlike some who seem to only have skin and bone.

He wears a t-shirt that is usually covered by a brown turtle neck. He has black jeans, brown sneakers, and wears white socks. There is a necklace around his neck from his mother and sports a simple necklace that is engraved with the words, "To The World You May Be One Person, but to one person you may just be the world." Anthony has a one strap backpack that he uses to carry thing such as Korra's tea, food and water, ingredients for PB&J for Junior and at times himself, apple juice, a few sets of clothes, potions, berries, herbs, regular pokemon food, writing utensils, a usb drive, and his two notebooks.

History:
Anthony grew up in Odale Town. His mother was a mechanic and his commutes from Odale to Slateport City as a criminal profiler working for the Slateport Police Department. His grandparents owned the daycare just outside of Odale Town and he was able to visit them very often. His knowledge of pokemon began with all those visits he would make to the daycare center his grandparents owned.

Anthony picked up his interest in psychology from his dad, who was a former psychiatrist before being frustrating and changing his career to be a criminal profiler. It was one day when Anthony had to do a report on what his parents did for a living. He had decided to observe his dad. During that day all the action happened. The whole process of finding and catching the criminal was all observed by Anthony, but what amazed him the most was not the capture using brute force. What interested him was how his dad was able to predict where the perp would strike. This was how his fire for psychology started.

As a child he never really had many friends. This was because he actually enjoyed being in school just to learn new things. Even if the disliked math, there were other subjects that interested him greatly such as history. He grew to love history because it was the cause and effect of a person or groups of people's state of mind. As he was already interested in psychology, history became his next best friend.

When he was eight, a trainer had left an egg in his grandparents care because he couldn't take care of all of the eggs his pokemon bred. Anthony had become very interested and taken with the egg and his grandparents decided to give the egg to Anthony for him to hatch and raise. Junior, a Treeko, had hatched from the egg and they became very close as time went on. He was his starter when he left Odale Town to pursue a career in pokemon training.

After he defeated Flanery of the Larvaridge he was sent an email inviting him to participate in: "The Master Quest". He had read that email dozens of times and took awhile to decide if he wanted to go or not while training. After four days he had decided that he would accept their offer and head to Kanto. After that, he head straight home telling his parents about the offer before leaving most of his pokemon at his house, only leaving with Junior and Korra to journey with him through Kanto.

Personality:
Anthony, in a way, would be considered by most people a bit crazy. He talks to himself often, but this is "hidden" because Junior, his Groyvle, stays outside of his pokeball. There are instances when he will sing a random song that happens to be stuck in his head. He often expresses his happiness and joy by smiling and dancing awkwardly, which looks more like he is just flailing random body parts in the air.

Anthony is very enthusiastic about learning something new. He especially enjoys learning about history, psychology, and how to better improve his writing. Because of his interest in psychology, he enjoys talking and observing people with unique personality traits, quirks, and habits. He jots down his observations in a little black notebook he keeps with him.

He also has a very active imagination. Ideas just attack his brain at random moments, so he keeps a second journal to jot down his ideas. He expresses these ideas through writing. Writing, to him, is a chance to spill his emotions and ideas into words to share with the world. He is always excited to share his work with other people once he finds it acceptable enough to be read by others. When these attacks attack his brain, often times he doesn't notice himself talking about it, or even quoting what a potential character might even say.

Anthony deeply cares for pokemon. He cares for them as if they were his own family. He doesn't believe himself to be a father figure to his pokemon because he believes that every pokemon has a different kind of role in the "family".

Outside of talking to people with interesting quirks, traits, or habits, Anthony isn't great talking with people, especially with strangers. He can talk to his pokemon well enough as they have a bond that has been cemented for the long periods of time they have or will be together. However, when it comes to new people or even friends at times he has trouble with, especially if it is some kind of online chat. He doesn't really know what to talk about, besides his interests in psychology, writing, and history. This usually leads to awkward silence because he can't think of a topic and the other person is usually waiting for him to think of something to talk about. He dislikes being put in this type of situation. Because of this, most of the time he prefers to talk with someone who can make a new conversations when one dies and can understand that Anthony is in a sense "just along for the ride". However, there are a few instances when he can create a good conversation, but these handfuls of conversations to date have died very quickly.

Anthony is very emotional. He gets angry and gets annoyed very easily and when he is very angry, he can't control his actions or his words. There are times when he says things that hurt others around him because he is very angry. And when he is annoyed, it is plastered on his face and will snap at anyone who annoys him.

Besides psychology, history, and writing, Anthony enjoys sleeping, playing video games, pokemon battling, and eating. He despises bean sprouts and people who dare poke fun at and bully his friends and his family. He doesn't like it when people put his pokemon down without even the slightest background knowledge and he dislikes the mistreatment of pokemon.

Pokémon:

1
- Species: Gorvyle (Junior)
Spr_5b_253.png

- Gender: Male
-Attacks: Pound, Lear, Absorb, Quick Attack, Fury Cutter, Screech, Pursuit, and Leaf Blade
- (optional) Personality/history:
Junior was the very first pokemon he has ever owned. He was given to him by his grandparents when he was an egg. The egg was left at their daycare center by a trainer who couldn't take care of all the eggs he had and let his grandparents have it. In turn, they gave this to Anthony to take care of.

Unlike most Grovyles, he is very energetic and full of energy. Because of his excess amounts of energy, he is very fast and has vast amounts of stamina, which Anthony utilizes in battle. He is also a very talkative pokemon and often talks to other people and pokemon. Because he is talkative, he often annoys many of the other pokemon. He at times, annoys Anthony, but Anthony considers Junior a cute, energetic, younger brother. Junior can cause a lot of trouble and is scolded by Kira whenever he gets himself into a jam.

Junior has a fetish for peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches. Whenever they are in a new town or city, he begs Anthony to buy supplies to make peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches and to go into a restaurant where they serve it. Strangely, he also has a strange fetish for apple juice and enjoys pop rock.

2
- Species: Kirlia (Korra)
Spr_4p_281.png

- Gender: Female
-Attacks: Growl, Confusion, Double Team, Teleport, Lucky Chant, Magical Leaf, and Heal Pulse
- (optional) Personality/history:
Korra is an intellectual and has a great her psychic prowess to the point where she can talk to Anthony using telepathy for about an hour. Korra has a thing for theory and shares the interest of psychology with Anthony, so they are very close.

Korra looks out for the many pokemon on Anthony's party as if they were he own brothers and sisters and teases them when she sees fit. This made her the older sister of Anthony's "family". However with the Master Quest, she only gets to act this way around Junior. She doesn't tolerate bullying targeted against one of her "siblings" because to her she and Anthony are the only ones who can tease them.

Korra has a strange fetish for tea. Whenever she is in a new city or town she demands Anthony to buy a huge supply of tea for her to drink. Anthony, however only buys enough to be able to fit in his bag. She also has an attraction for the show Doctor Who.

Anthony discovered that Kirlias and Gardevoirs were very flexible. He learned to apply this in battle in a technique he calls: "The Dance". Basically, Korra has almost complete control over the battle leaving her to set the "rhythm" of her attacks, attack patterns, and evasive maneuvers that consist of flips, the bending of her body, and jumps. However, Anthony does have the final say and can change her rhythm by calling out a different attack. Korra can also change her rhythm when she feels her opponent is figuring it out and changes to throw them off. Anthony has learned how to follow all of her known patterns to pull off "The Dance" and will only call out different commands depending on how far Korra is in her rhythm. However, the side effect of this is that uses up a lot of Korra's stamina. Anthony and Korra are working very hard to increase her stamina so she can use it often.

Sign Up Sheet:

Name: Soo-yun Lee
Gender: Female
Age: 11, born December 14
Region: Sinnoh

Appearance: Soo-yun has straight, black hair in a boyish cut. Her hair is so short that she could be mistaken as a boy if one didn't look too closely at her face. She also has narrowed, black eyes. Her skin is the general tone of a Korean person, being Korean 'n all. She stands at 4'6" and weighs about 76lbs. She has a gaunt look and her ribs stick out, even though she eats a lot. She guesses that she's just naturally skinny. Due to her appearance, she doesn't appear to be too tough and is usually underestimated. She only has one scar on her arm from a falling stalactite and doesn't wear any jewelry.

Soo-yun likes to wear loose clothing in order to maneuver around easily. She also generally likes to wear dark clothing, usually black. Her outfit depends on the weather as well. When it is fair outside, she likes to wear a plain, black t-shirt with black slacks and black Chinese styled flats. When it is hot outside, she likes to wear a pink tanktop with white shorts and white Chinese styled flats. When it is cold, she likes to wear a deep blue sweater with black pants and black boots. When it is raining, she switches out the deep blue sweater with a black hoodie. She also carries a black umbrella around with her, just in case, although it usually stays in her knapsack. Her backpack is black with a lot of pockets and space.

History: Soo-yun was born in Pastoria City. Her family consisted of her older sister (by seventeen years) and her mother. Ever since she was young, she loved going into the Great Marsh and meeting all kinds of pokemon. However, her mother and sister had warned her about going into the mud. As a young child, she listened, but once she slipped and fell into the mud. The mud, being too high for her, seemed to drag her underneath. However, a Croagunk, Jipye, came and saved her. After that, Soo-yun and Jipye played together all the time. They were childhood friends, the both of them having a connection. When they started their journey together, they could roughly tell what the other one was thinking by the body language. They also trained together when they were young, having created several motions for each move that Jipye knew. This list only got longer as Jipye learned new moves.

When she was ten, she decided to set off on her pokemon journey. Deciding to start off the gym leaders in order, Soo-yun traveled to Oreburgh City where the gym leader, Roark, lived. Along the way, they had trained up quite a bit, battling wild pokemon and trainers here and there. By the time that they reached Oreburgh City, they had battled a lot. So, Soo-yun and Roark battled. Soo-yun only had Jipye at this time and battled against Roark's Geodude, Onix, and Cranidos all by herself. However, Jipye managed to OHKO both Geodude and Onix luckily, so all there was was Cranidos left. However, Soo-yun and Jipye realized that Cranidos was a pretty tough pkoemon. It was fast, hit hard, and seemed to just absorb the hits that Jipye attacked with. However, with a bit of luck, Jipye managed to land a critical hit and down went Cranidos. However, Jipye was barely standing. Roark returned his Cranidos and congratulated Soo-yun on her victory. Soo-yun thanked Roark, returned Jipye, got her badge, and raced to the pokemon center.

Next up was Eterna City for her second gym badge. Before that, however, she managed to find the Wayward Cave by accident; the tree that was usually in the way of the Wayward Cave was cut, so she, thinking that it was a way to get to Eterna City, went through the open way. After a few pokemon battles, she found from the trainers that the way to Eternia City was not through this way. However, she did notice the cave and wondered what it was. She went inside. She went through the puzzles and found quite a lot of items on the way. Along the way, she also bat off quite a bit of pokemon that attacked her, usually Geodudes and Zubats. When she reached the end of the cave, she managed to find a male Gible. The male Gible attacked and so she was off battling again. Gible was just like Cranidos in the regard that he was fast, hit hard, and seemed to absorb Jipye's hits. However, he was stronger than Cranidos. It took all of Soo-yun's and Jipye's power to just make sure that Jipye didn't faint, rather than having the Gible faint. However, one of the moves that Gible unleashed, Dragon Rage, hit a stalactite. The stalactite fell in Gible's direction. However, Gible hadn't noticed the stalactite. Knowing that if Gible was to be hit by that, he would die, Soo-yun pushed out of the way and only got a cut on her arm on the process. However, luckily, the cave did not collapse in. Gible, realizing that Soo-yun just saved his life, decided to go with Soo-yun on her journey. Soo-yun welcomed him, and after getting her cut bandaged, was off to Eterna City.

After taking the scenic route, Soo-yun managed to get to Eterna City. Along the way, she trained Toji and tried to get along with him. However, Toji was decidedly stubborn at getting closer with Soo-yun, even if he felt that he owed her his life. However, Soo-yun didn't let this discouraged her. She did train with Toji, though, with a lot of encouragement and managed to teach him how Jipye and her battled; through certain hand motions/body language rather than verbal commands. However, they were not in a well enough relationship for Toji to read off of her body language, but they did manage to put han motions to all of Toji's moves. After she felt that they were ready, Soo-yun challenged the Eterna City gym. To Soo-yun, the Eterna City gym was pretty easy. The only difficulty she had against Gardinia was her Roserade, who was pretty fast and powerful. However, Soo-yun did have Jipye, who was her killer of Grass types, and Toji, who was fast and powerful in his own regard. It didn't take much for her to beat Gardinia and win the badge. After a night's rest in Eterna City, Soo-yun moved on to the next city, Hearthome City.

Before that, however, she had go to through Mt. Coronet. Although it was quite large, it was a relatively straight path to travel through. Luckily enough, she didn't meet any blue haired egotistical men that are evil. She found a few items, bat away any pokemon that attacked her, and that was it. Mt. Coronet.

In Hearthome City, she managed to bump into Fatina after being dragged to the contest hall by a girl her age, who she didn't know. When Soo-yun asked the girl who Fantina was, the girl let her know that she was a contest master and the gym leader of Hearthome City. Excusing herself, Soo-yun told Fantina that she was a challenger that wanted to challenge her gym. Fantina babbled something in French and told Soo-yun (in English) that she was going to the gym to wait up for her. With that, Soo-yun went to the gym as well. Fantina was undoubtedly the toughest gym leader that Soo-yun had to face. All of her pokemon were fast and hit hard. Plus, Toji was rather worthless, having only Dragon Rage as an attacking move at that time. Luckily, he managed to knock out the Duskull before being knocked out by the Haunter. Then, it was Jipye against the Haunter. After getting a critical hit on the Haunter, but not before taking some damage herself, it was Jipye against the Mismagius. With a well aimed Confuse Ray and Psybeam, Jipye was done and Soo-yun had lost. After the battle, Fantina told Soo-yun, "You have a good battle style. Using body language instead of verbal commands means that it is harder for other people to figure out what you're planning. However, good trainers can pick up on your body language and learn what move goes with what gesture. When this happens, your advantage is gone." and sent Soo-yun to the pokemon center. After resting the night, Soo-yun decided that she was going to head off to the next gym and come back after training awhile. So, she went southeast of Hearthome; back home to Pastoria City.

At Pastoria City, she was welcomed home. In fact, it seemed like she never left. On the first night, her mother prepared a dinner comprised entirely of Soo-yun's favourite foods. It was during the dinner that Soo-yun told her mother and sister about her journey so far. Before they went to sleep, but after they cleaned up, her sister told Soo-yun that she had a present for her if she defeated Crasher Wake. Curious, Soo-yun could only nod and go to sleep. When she woke up, she folded up her blankets and walked outside. Although she didn't know Crasher Wake personally, he was a hero to the people of Pastoria City. Any money that he would earn through his wrestling matches went into the city's welfare. Soo-yun could vaguely remember a huge man with a blue mask at her school, playing with her and the children her age when she was in Kindergarten. All she really knew was that he used water type pokemon. Luckily enough, she had Jipye that had the ability Water Absorb and the move that the tutor taught her, Thunder Punch. However, she first fought with the newly evolved Toji, now a Gabite, instead. Toji managed to take out Quagsire, but was defeated by Gyarados. When Jipye came out, the rest of Crasher Wake's pokemon moves were severely limited. All his pokemon could do were dark type moves, which were ineffective anyways, dragon types moves, and ice type moves. Not even attempting to try dark type moves, Crasher Wake tried to fight with only the move Twister. However, Jipye was able to overcome it easily by dodging and landed a Poison Sting to the face. Due to poison, Gyarados was a goner. Next came Floatzel. Even though it was fast and powerful, all it could really do was Ice Fang. Crasher Wake knew that he wouldn't be able to go into the water due to the fact that Jipye could follow and just heal any and all damage. However, this severally limited the best of Floatzel's speed and every time that Jipye seemed to be taking damage from the Ice Fang, she would jump in the water and end up healing herself. Soon, Floatzel's Ice Fang lost power and then all it could use as an attack was Crunch. Each time that Ice Fang landed a blow on Jipye, Jipye gave a blow back of Poison Stings. Floatzel's strong will power was the only thing that kept it going. However, after using Crunch on Jipye and getting one more Poison Sting, the poison seemed to be too much from Floatzel and it fainted. Crasher Wake laughed, slapped Soo-yun on the back (thankfully lightly), and gave her the gym badge. He wondered where the sweet, docile Soo-yun went from her kindergarten days, causing Soo-yun to blush. After the battle, Soo-yun went home and showed her sister the gym badge. Her sister told her to wait there and went into her room. When she came out of the room, she handed Soo-yun a Dragon Fang for Toji. Soo-yun bowed deeply and hugged her sister, thanking her for the boost for Toji's Dragon type moves in the future and after staying one more night, said good-bye, again, to her mother and sister and went north to Veilstone City.

At Veilstone City, Soo-yun went for her fourth gym badge. With Jipye's resistance to fighting types, it probably would have been an easy gym. Jipye managed to defeat Machoke when Meditite came out and KO'd Jipye with two Confusions, but not without getting a Poison Sting to the face and getting poisoned. The poison and Toji made quick work of Meditite. Then, Lucario came out. It was all that Toji and Soo-yun could do to not lose to Lucario right there and then. Using their body language wasn't working; Lucario could tell what they were planning as could Maylene from reading their body language. When it seemed to be over as Toji was paralyzed from a Force Palm, Soo-yun stopped moving, which meant she stopped giving Toji commands from her body language. In fact, it meant that she didn't give any commands at all. Maylene frowned, commented on how someone that would give up so easily wasn't so deserving to get four gym badges, and ordered Lucario to give Toji the finishing blow. However, Toji broke through the paralysis, gave Lucario a double Sand Tomb-Dragon Rage in the face, and Lucario was trapped in the Sand Tomb. After Toji finished Lucario off with one last combination, Soo-yun told Maylene this, "You underestimate me and my pokemon. I trust my pokemon to be able to win, even without my commands. If my body language is being read, I'll start speaking verbally in either English or Korean. If that is seen through, then I'll just have to mix up my body language. If that is seen through, then I will stay quiet and my pokemon will battle by themselves. My pokemon already know what to do in a lot of situations; we have gone through what should be done in every situation if I am being read. Just because I, myself, is weak, doesn't mean that my pokemon are weak. My pokemon are strong because they don't need me to battle. Do. Not. Underestimate. My. Pokemon." Maylene laughed and nodded, giving Soo-yun the gym badge. After staying the night, Soo-yun decided to go back to Hearthome City and challenge Fantina again.

When Soo-yun made it back to the gym, Fantina saw a sort of power change in her and commented that she was going to use her strong pokemon. Soo-yun said that was fine. First was Toji VS Drifblim. Toji put sand all around the gym using Sand Tomb, while dodging Drifblim's moves. When Fantina commented that all of her pokemon were not affected by ground type moves, Soo-yun smiled. When enough sand was built up, Toji used Sand Attack (which, in the games, can still be used on a flying type pokemon) to put into Drifblim's eyes. Then, ran around the sand in a high speed, creating a sand tornado before finishing Drifblim off with Dragon Rage. Fantina laughed when she saw this and commented that she was about to get serious. Out came Gengar. Gengar was even worse than her sister Haunter. It was faster and way more powerful. Using Confuse Ray and Shadow Claw, it managed to knock out Toji, but not without getting hit in the face by two Dragon Rages. When Jipye came out, Jipye managed to get a lucky shot with Astonish without taking a blow from the Gengar. Then, Fantina sent out her Mismagius. However, Soo-yun was ready for the Mismagius. Using Taunt so Mismagius wouldn't be able to use Confuse Ray, Jipye used a mixture of the sand and Faint Attack to dodge Mismagius's moves. With enough Faint Attacks and Astonishes, Mismagius fell to Jipye. Finally, Soo-yun beat Fantina. Fantina congratulated Soo-yun and gave Soo-yun the badge. After coming out of the gym, Soo-yun was shaking, but laughing and generally happy. She decided to go to the Pokemon Center and rest before heading off to the next city. However, at the Pokemon Center, her mother called her, saying that she had a letter. Her mother told her the gist of what the letter was about and told Soo-yun not to worry about her and her sister and go for it. Soo-yun agreed to join the Master Quest.

Personality: Due to her culture and how she was raised, Soo-yun is an extremely polite person. She generally speaks in honoruifics and always bows when meeting someone new, or even seeing them again, even when they ask her otherwise not to. She is generally stubborn and always listens to the life lessons she has been taught, either by her own experiences or by her mother/sister. She generally doesn't speak unless spoken to, being afraid of insulting someone. However, she can and will say something even if she feels that it is quite rude, even if she would immediately apologize for that. Due to this, she may seem easy enough to take advantage of. She knows that this is happening to her, but still doesn't like to say 'no', unless it is something truly strange and ridiculous. She is extremely docile and a pacifist at that. She hates fighting and will try to talk through arguments with words instead of fists. She is a pretty good negotiator and is usually an mediatour for fights. She knows how to cook and clean well due to having to help around the house. Sometimes, she cleans things up automatically just because it has been so ingrained into her. She can be seen with a smile on her face, yet can pull off a mask of neutrality with ease. She can take hits/punishments without batting an eyelash, although if someone starts crying, she may start crying with them as a sympathetic crier. She isn't a sore loser, yet not a sore winner either. She just accepts losses and wins as they are and knows that even though she loses a lot or even though she wins a lot, she still has a lot more to work on. She perseveres and is able to adapt easily to any new environment. However, she is extremely paranoid due to conditioning from her mother. She doesn't trust people that well due to this, but she wouldn't shy away from a conversation. She generally trusts her instincts as well. She loves her mum, her sister, and her pokemon a lot. She hates seeing pokemon mistreated, but feels that pokemon and people still have things that they should learn from each other. She trusts in her pokemon a lot.

When she is battling, however, she seems to have changed into a completely different person. She is sarcastic, witty, cold and calculating while battling. The calm, quiet, nice girl that she is outside of battles is gone away and she brings out her battle face. She is a fairly good tactician, coming up with plans and tactics on the spot that could seem quite strange, and perhaps entertaining, to any viewers of the battle. Her wit becomes sharper and her senses seem to even heighten. Soo-yun feels that she truly comes to life when she is battling, that her real personality is shown through the language of battle, rather than her hiding behind her background and culture. As she rarely talks in battle, using body language to direct her pokemon, and her smile gone, she could be called cold. She only returns to normal when either she wins or is defeated.

Other: She has limited information in self defense. She speaks Korean and English.

That incredible Sign-Up that you've been waiting for your entire life!

Name: Shun Yuuto Sorukei
Gender: Male
Age: 14
Region: Unova
Theme Song: Bully by Three Days Grace
Appearance:
Shun is Caucasian (white), stands at about five feet eight inches and weighs about one hundred and thirteen pounds. He has short, black hair that goes down a little past his ears, the bangs are rather long and tend to hang in his face and conceal his eyes, and the very tips of his hair are dyed a dark blue. He has deep blue eyes that at times seem distant, but at other times are wide and observant. As Shun has basically mastered his poker face, don't count on his eyes revealing too much information. He is rather skinny and a bit scrawny looking, but Shun relies more on speed and strategy rather than strength, so that should be no reason to underestimate him. Shun is incredibly fast, but you wouldn't be able to tell very well unless you witnessed his speed first-hand, but he tends to walk and not over-exert himself, and if you're there to witness his speed you usually won't be conscious long enough to actually register that he moved at all.
Shun wears a gray beanie on his head most of the time, and he can often be seen wearing large, dark blue headphones, even if he's not actually listening to anything with them. He wears a short black necklace with a pentagram on it, and he most often wears a white short-sleeved shirt which is just visible beneath a black button up dress shirt, most often with the top one or two buttons undone. When it gets colder, Shun wears a black zip-up hoodie with faux fur covering the inside. On his right hand, Shun normally wears a black wristwatch and sometimes wears black and dark blue striped fingerless gloves that reach halfway up to his elbows. Shun wears a black belt with a belt buckle that resembles the The World Ends With You player pin and dark blue jeans. He wears black convers with white laces.
History:
Shun was born in Castelia City, Unova. He was born into a rather wealthy family that was composed of his mother, father, and older brother. Around the time that Shun was six, his mother perished when a berserk Golurk attacked the Castelia Pokemon Center. Shun had been with her at the time, but he was rescued by a small Elgyem that had teleported them outside. Shun had tried to run back in to his mother, but the police kept him out for his own safety, along with the fact that it was too late for his mother. From then onward, Shun was raised along with his elder brother by their father, and the Elgyem became his best friend.
Shun was never a very great student - he had a tendency to not pay attention and a lot of the time had trouble understanding the work. The only reason he was able to pass his classes was because Roswell, the Elgyem, would tutor him, even though Roswell couldn't speak or use telepathy; he just showed Shun how to work and spoke using those strange flashes of lights, which Shun eventually came to to understand well enough. Of course Shun's brother, Riku, had excellent grades and always acted completely perfect when anybody else was around. Shun hated his brother, and his brother despised him. Everyone, especially their father, constantly compared Shun to Riku, which only further annoyed Shun and caused him to act even more distant. It didn't help that when Shun was about ten and Riku was about thirteen that Riku was invited to Pokemon Tech in the Kanto region.

One day in school, Shun was attacked by a group of kids, and the leader of the group had a Machoke. Needless to say that Shun got his arse kicked, and being young and defenseless he hardly managed to get a single punch in. What resulted from that day was a Shun with a broken arm and even more distant personality. By now, Shun did not have a single friend, excluding Roswell. He couldn't have been happier once he was ten and finally eligible for a Trainer's License. He immediately set out on his journey the first chance he got, not even bothering to say good-bye to his father or notify his brother of his adventure, as far as he was concerned they could both go and screw themselves, along with the rest of mankind.

Shun began his adventure with Roswell by first setting out to Pinwheel Forest, and from there Nacrene City. Shun and Roswell defeated Lenora easily, although Shun couldn't help but feel that she went easy on them. After their gym battle, Shun and Roswell went to the Challenge Rock, where Shun discovered a group of Roggenrola. The Roggenrola had apparently declared the Challenge Rock their territory, and they attacked anyone that got near, and they made no exception for Shun and Roswell. Shun and Roswell were overwhelmed and defeated, and it didn't seem like anything was going to turn out okay once the Roggenrola surrounded Shun and the incapacitated Roswell. Shun managed to fend off the Roggenrola for a little while, but it wasn't long before he too could no longer fight. That was when the Genesect appeared.

The Genesect defeated every single Roggenrola with a single blast, and the few that avoided the blast fled. Shun decided to capture one of the Roggenrola, naming the Roggenrola "Gaia". Once he captured Gaia, he had turned to examine the Genesect, but it was gone. Not knowing what else to do, Shun just continued on to Striaton City. There he defeated Cilan's Pansage with ease, getting his second gym badge. He continued on to the Dreamyard, where he found a group of baby Munna. Without thinking, Shun approached the Munna and was immediately deemed a threat by Musharna, the mother of the small group of Munna. The Musharna brought one of Shun's dreams, or rather nightmares, to reality. She created the group of kids and the Machoke, and easily overpowered Shun, Roswell and Gaia. Just when Shun thought he was going to be knocked out by the Musharna, the Genesect appeared again.

Once the Genesect defeated the Musharna, Shun confronted the Genesect, whom tried to flee. Shun was faster though, so he quickly overtook the Genesect and grabbed onto its back, which shattered the illusion. The Genesect was revealed to be a Zorua, and once its illusion was shattered it turned and confronted Shun. Gaia managed to summon enough energy to fight, but was defeated by the Zorua. Even though the Zorua won, it had decided to become one of Shun's Pokemon, thanks to it having already followed Shun around and taken a liking to him. He named the female Zorua Lydia, and Shun along with his three Pokemon continued onto Castelia City to obtain their third gym badge.

Shun returned to his hometown with Roswell, but he made sure to avoid everyone and anyone that he knew, especially his father. Although Burgh encouraged Shun to go meet with his father, Shun promptly ignored him. Shun had always been a fan of Burgh's art and individuality, he didn't need him trying to meddle with his life. Shun battled Burgh using Gaia, whom evolved into a Boldore in the middle of the battle and defeated Burgh's Leavanny. Burgh gave Shun his badge, but he advised him that he could not go through life alone, he would need friends and people that cared for him and he cared about. Shun simply scoffed at the idea and continued on to Route 4.

On Route 4, Shun headed to the Litwick Mansion in order to find a Litwick. When he arrived, he was nearly killed and thrown into the Ghost Realm by the group of Litwick, Lampent, and the single Chandelure of the mansion. Shun managed to fight them off, with the help of Roswell, and caught a female Lampent, whom he named Wicken. Shun fled the mansion before his life force could be completely drained by the ghost Pokemon, continuing on to Nimbasa City.

Shun had a slightly more difficult time defeating the Nimbasa gym leader, or at least it was Elesa's apprentice, a girl named Krystal, whom had been filling in for Elesa for the day. Shun and wicken managed to defeat Krystal's Roserade and obtain their fourth gym badge, but mere minutes after leaving the gym, Shun was mugged and Gaia was stolen. Shun had managed to keep his other Pokemon safe, but the thieves fled with Gaia before Shun could do anything. Krystal had heard the commotion and run out of the gym, but she came too late, Gaia was gone. Krystal assured Shun that the thieves would be caught, and she informed Elesa of the matter, Elesa then informed Officer Jenny, whom then sent out the call to all nearby cities to keep an eye out for the thieves.

With little chance of finding the thieves, Shun continued on to Driftveil City. He was swiftly defeated by Clay when he challenged the gym, and he decided to go to Mistralton Cave to train. It was both the best and worst thing he could do. The best thing because the thieves that had taken Gaia were there, and the worst thing because he was now in a dark cave with criminals. Shun confronted the thieves, but they had an Aggron and Mandibuzz and quickly dispatched all of Shun's Pokemon. Before they could attack Shun, however, there was a flash of light and suddenly there was a figure in front of Shun. The figure was that of Cobalion, and Cobalion attacked the thieves and drove them away. They dropped all of their things, but Gaia was not among them. After searching through the thieves' things and finding nothing, Shun looked up to find Cobalion gone. He really needed to start confronting the legendaries, or at least the legendary and one illusion, before they could leave.

Shun left Mistralton Cave and headed back to Driftveil City, and on the way he encountered a trainer. Normally, he wouldn't have given the trainer a second glance, but the trainer had a Gigalith, and one that Shun recognized to be Gaia. It didn't matter that Gaia had evolved, Shun would recognize him no matter what. Shun confronted the trainer and took Gaia back, throwing the trainer the things that the thieves had dropped as he did so. Apparently the thieves had traded Gaia for the kid's Gurdurr, and the kid's Gurdurr was among the things that Shun had retrieved from the thieves. Not bothering to give the trainer another thought after that, Shun returned to Driftveil and defeated Clay with Gaia's newfound power.

It wasn't long after that Shun received a letter from an anonymous person, and the letter had been dropped off by a carrier Unfezant, which was odd seeing as most normal people preferred email these days. Inside the letter was an application for something called the Master Quest, and apparently the contestants would receive a large sum of money. Of course Shun immediately filled out the application, he couldn't pass up the chance to both prove himself and get enough money to permanantly move away from his father without having to worry about not having a fallback just in case he failed on his Pokemon journey. Although he would have to leave Lydia and Wicken behind, it was a small price to pay for such a great opportunity.
Personality:
Shun is a very distant person. He tries to interact with other people as little as possible, and he doesn't bother making any form of bond with another human being. Shun basically hates people, and he wants as little to do with them as possible. He is rather calm and tends to not show too much emotion, and he's incredible at covering his emotions and hiding his thoughts. He's not that intelligent, but he's smart enough to get by, and he's even figured out the pattern to Elgyem's flashing lights, or, at least, he has it mostly figured out. If someone tries to interact with Shun, he will typically ignore them or try to get rid of them as soon as possible.
Shun loves Pokemon, and he finds it a hell of a lot easier to form bonds with them than with people. He'd sooner date a Pokemon than another human being, although he's not rushing into the idea of an inter-species relationship. He loves music, particularly bands such as Three Days Grace, Panic! At The Disco, Black Veil Brides, among others. He's also a rather great artist, and spends much of his free time drawing while listening to music. He's rather into Japanese culture and loves anime such as Death Note and Inuyasha, and one of his favorite foods is sushi. He almost always has some form of Japanese candy or food on him, and he'll eat with chopsticks whenever possible.

Shun hates people, particularly his father and brother. The only person he ever felt a connection with was his mother, and her death only pushed him further away from other people. He dislikes overly cheery people and people that try to talk with him in any way, shape or form. He despises bullies and people that abuse Pokemon with a passion, and thanks to him training himself for the past few years, he will intervene and pummel anybody like that that he sees. Shun also has an irrational fear of little people.
Pokémon:
1
- Species: Elgyem "Roswell"
- Gender: Male
- Moves: Confusion | Growl | Heal Block | Miracle Eye | Psybeam | Headbutt | Hidden Power[Fighting] | Imprison | Simple Beam
- Personality: Roswell is a quiet Pokemon that prefers to keep his distance and analyze anyone and everything. He is a million times more social and outgoing than Shun, and he is an extremely curious Pokemon. He is highly intelligent and is extremely loyal to Shun, even though Shun never officially captured him with a Pokeball.

- History: Roswell was born in the Celestial Tower near Mistralton City. His parents were captured when he was young and so he wandered about like a lost child. Being as curious as he was he had no problem walking up to people and examining them, although he tended to do it so that they didn't notice by floating behind them. He eventually made his way to Castelia City, where there was a berserk Golurk destroying the Pokemon Center. He entered the Pokemon Center, his curious urges taking over him. When he witnessed a woman get killed while protecting her son, he teleported the son to safety. The boy was Shun, and from then on the two were best friends. Shun never officially captured Roswell with a Pokeball, but Roswell was loyal nonetheless.

2
- Species: Gigalith "Gaia"
- Gender: Male
- Moves: Tackle | Harden | Sand-Attack | Headbutt | Rock Blast | Mud Slap | Iron Defense | Smack Down | Power Gem | Rock Slide
- Personality: Gaia is an extremely loyal Pokemon and is very protective of Shun. He is also a bit reckless and tends to get himself in trouble a lot, and he's not the brightest Pokemon around, but Shun loves him anyways. He usually stays besides Shun and, while he's not as outoing as Roswell, he's still a lot more outgoing than Shun.

- History: Gaia was born in Wellspring Cave on Route 3, along with a plethora of siblings. They soon migrated to the Challenge Rock near Nacrene City, and it wasn't long after that Gaia met Shun.

@ First Snow - really interesting character and good SU! I only have one thing and that's the translators. It's fine if you communicate to a certain extent with Kirlia through telepathy - from the anime we know that pokémon can do that - but I kind of think it would be better if you didn't have the translators, and communicated with Grovyle the way that Ash communicates with Pikachu. Would your "gaming experience" in this RP go down a lot if you weren't allowed to have translators?
PENDING, until this is cleared up ;)

@ Michaela - oh, I hadn't noticed that Supervegeta dropped out. Pity. But alright, you can choose between Sinnoh or Hoenn :)

@ Nakuzami - Interesting SU, only a few things: All the references to games and artists in the real world are ok, since they could have existed in the pokémon world as well. But Japan doesn't exist in the pokémon world (not according to me at least ^^) Maybe you could say that he likes the Johto culture? It's the region that resembles Japan the most, I think, in terms of culture. Or we could just say that he likes japanese things, even though Japan doesn't exist. Maybe I'm making this too complicated, err, but just so you know ^^

ACCEPTED, anyways.

. . . lol, okay xD I just like the real world enough to have my character like it too. If I didn't I'd still do something like Four Days Grace and Chaos! In The Ballroom or something. I'd have to, lol.
But, seeing as I was accepted anyways, guess I don't need to change it? Lol

Going by that logic, did you know that real animals apparently exist alongside Pokemon? I guess it's been mentioned before in the anime or something . . . or it's just a large inference, lol.

Okay, I'm only partially awake, so excuse my stupidity, lol.

It's not such a big deal that you'll have to edit the SU. You should just know that Japan doesn't exist ^^

Don't get me started on the animals-vegetarian-pokémon-killing paradox... xD let's just say that there are no animals beside pokémon BUT there is meat to eat. No need to question from where the meat comes xD

But yeah, in a certain manga they even say that pokémon is just another species of animal, and all pokémon are races of the same species (hence they can "interbreed"). So I know that animals could/should exist, but let's not ;)

I've written up the opening post for the IC thread now. We're just waiting for the last SUs and then we can start :3 Heads up, I probably won't be on much (if at all) from tonight and until sunday. So sunday night (European time ^^) or monday night is probably the earliest we can start. Please have your SUs finished by then :3

@RHCP: No I don't really mind if you don't want the translators. It won't bring the "gaming experience" down.

letssee some Germans~ :3

Name: Katharina(Kathy) von Kurnase

Gender: Female

Age: 13

Region: Hoenn

Appearance: Kathy is 5'2'', a not too tall, not too short person for her age, who also weighs about 95 pounds, about the average weight for a girl her age. Kathy has a light toned skin color, which isn't too light so that she would burn easily, but also not too dark as well. She has long, brown hair, which she naturally keeps it fresh, and healthy by washing it often. Her hair reaches to her upper back, which could also be stuck out beside her shoulders. Kathy would sometimes add beige-colored streaks and lining on her hair, just for a little style. Some might call it weird, but hey, she likes it. She likes to put eye-liner on her hair, but not lipstick; she thinks its absolutely atrocious to wear. Her nose isn't big at all; its fairly small, but still noticeable.

For a usual outfit of hers. the main clothing she most of the time wears, is her white scientific lab coat, which she wears to school, even in public. This is what she calls: "Her Lab Coat appearance". Underneath her white lab coat is a black t-shirt, which has a yellow star on the center of the shirt as its main design, that is complemented by small light blue star designs. She also wears a light blue skirt that is designed with dark blue stripes, that is designed to go vertically to the end of the skirt.

However, outside of her lab coat appearance, she could also wear a white dress shirt, that is complemented with a black tie, with a pure black skirt which adds it all together. With this outfit, she wears pink-framed goggles, that sits on the top of her forehead, for whenever she wants to use them. Of course, this dress-up is not casual for her, its something she wears on occasions.

History: Kathy was born in Mosdeep City in Hoenn. It was very fitting, since her mother and father were both architects working along side the gym leaders, parents. Of course, Mosdeep City was the place to learn, and just be filled with knowledge, so for most of her childhood, Katharina enjoys reading books about pokemon with her mother, and exploring the Mosdeep City museum. The books she read would include pictures of trainers, and pokemon, working along side each other, battling bullies, gym leaders, and eventually, the champion of the pokemon league. One day, Kathy dreamed that someday, she too will have her own pokemon, and go off on a journey.

Of course, there were also expectations she had to live by. Katharina is the only daughter in the wealthy family of the von Kunaze, with her mother and father. Her mother was usually the one who worked and provided for the family. Her father? Well, he was one that would always get a cold beer, but still goes to work, watching his intake. Meanwhile, Kathy was studying in a private elementary school until she reached 10 years of age. She wasn't the most social or popular person back then, on account of her mother, ideally wanted her to focus more on school, so that one day, Kathy would take over her mother's status. You can say that Kathy was being spoiled as she grew up, but Kathy wasn't exactly the one that valued material wealth over education in any case. Kathy developed a notion that she has to rise above everyone else, and be the best student all around.

When she turned 11, she was finally ready to own her first pokemon. Fortunately for her, on her birthday, her mother and father gave her two presents: A Claw fossil, and a Root fossil. She didn't understand it at first; what was the point of two weirdly shaped rocks? However, that was when her mother and father surprised her by paying a visit to the Mosdeep City museum. That's when Katharina stumbled her eyes towards a machine. This machine, was specialized by reviving fossilized pokemon. Of course, getting permission to use the machine was not all that easy. However, since it was Katharina's birthday, this was a special exception. Now, as Katharina was curious at first, that was when the machine was activated by the staff in charge. There, she watched something that amazed her -- her fossils became actual living, breathing pokemon. The two pokemon that were revived, were known as the bug-typed Anorith, and the grass-typed Lileep. Katharina's heart started to race, and her eyes beamed. This was truly astonishing. There, her parents gave her two pokeballs; one for Anorith, and one for Lileep. As she returned her own pokemon back into the pokeballs, she knew that she had a lot to learn. Her adventure was about to begin.

That was when Katharina began a new faze in her life; she started to wear an old laboratory coat her mother used to wear, along with her old pink lab goggles. She began to have a love for science. In more specifics, she wanted to learn all about fossil, and other artificial pokemon. However, she had to get to know her own pokemon. Her Anorith was pretty quirky, while her Lileep was pretty Bashful. Two totally different personalities, but, Katharina's love to them reached to them, which the two fossil pokemon always obeyed her, in their own style and preference. Katharina had to learn their own styles, and strengths, so that's why she started to train her pokemon. She trained her Anortih in open land, and her Lileep in the grass wildlife.

Her training with her fossil pokemon lasted about 1 year, until she was ready for her first gym battle when she turned 12. Naturally, her first gym challenge would be from the
Mosdeep City Gym. She idolized Tate and Liza for a long time during her childhood, but, it was time to face them in a double battle. Her bug and grass pokemon were a great match for Tate and Liza's Psychic typed pokemon, which earned Katharina the Mosdeep City Gym badge. After that, one day, a letter came from a carrier Pelipper. "Master Quest" was written in the title. It was a contest on where people from all over the region came to battle, and the winner, would receive a huge sum of money. Katharina wasn't only interested in the money or battling, she was also more interested on how many more pokemon she would get to meet. So, that's how she filled out her application, and sent it back. Along with her fossil pokemon, she knew that she simply could not lose.

Personality: Kathy is first of all, not very much at all a pessimist or an optimist, but rather, are a list. She's a girl that believes in science, more than fiction. Speaking of science, that's a topic in which she is most craziest, and most eccentric on.Kathy loves to induct the craziest of science experiments, and treating life and the world if it was her own personal scientific laboratory, which you know what? If she keeps this up, she'll blow up the world. Even when it comes to terms to general cooking, she would turn the most lop-sided, uncoordinated foods into a meal that's never even created. These dishes are proved to be quite...inedible, not really helping her cooking experience, which is below average in any case. For example, a banana-flavored root-beer float covered in fig sauce. That's just it though -- Kathy is always the type to have her mind wonder about things in life.

Kathy has a giant ego that wants her to strive above everyone else. When it comes to people, Kathy isn't exactly...easy going; that depends on each situation. She's more of a sarcastic person when she's at a conversation, most of the time, whenever someone asks her an obvious 'yes or no' question. She also likes to joke around with people, even when it comes to insulting them. In conclusion, Kathy just acts like herself; an eccentric scientific-crazy madwoman, who can be social, although, more or less, the only people she likes to communicate with are those she thinks is intelligent, or funny. When it comes to pokemon, she is pretty much interested in them. Instead of relying on books, she would much rather go out to interact with pokemon first hand. Her main interest lies within fossil pokemon, which she gets very excited whenever someone mentions them. The thought of seeing the ancient world...seeing how the world forms, how thepokemon lived back then without humans...all of those scientific subjects interests Kathy, after all.

@ Wymsical - ACCEPTED for Hoenn :) but if you feel like adding more to your SU on a day when you're not so tired, you are welcome to. Please notify me if you do :3

And don't worry guys... I mostly put up the 24 hour rule to stress that I don't want people to say they're reserving a spot and then never get around to make the SU. I don't care if you're a few hours late, just don't wait several days, please :3

@ Naku and Otherworld - yeah, that might be interesting indeed! And no it's not just you, Team Plasma was of course a source of inspiration ^^ I reused Team Shiro from an older RP of mine called "Begin, Again".

The best way to spice up journey RPs might be to have strange/peculiar/antagonistic/fun characters!

I hope I can, because today is seriously busy too. I got class, gym, work, relatives coming over, etc etc. If I'm lucky I'll be done before the world ends. *eyeroll* lol

Okay, lol.

OMG, now that will have to be the very first thing I make Shun question. Good job, Red. xD

Also, apparently humans and Pokemon descend from one common ancestor . . . ew, I wonder if any interbreeding goes on there? Lolololol xD Okay, I should shut up naow.

@Miss Doronjo - Ooooh, German character, lol. Although I'm too lazy to read your entire SU myself (maybe later, lol) I do see that she seems to be blinded by science. SCIENCE! I wonder if they have an Aperture Laboratories in Kanto . . . hm . . . lol X3

I also wondered about that too myself. Maybe Arceus just made two for humans and two for pokemon.....or did human-like pokemon go to it...........Germans are good, I just like melancholic anime characters and story characters.

My Sinnoh SU

Name: Draco Corronus
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Region: Sinnoh
Appearance:
2280199351_c710460517_m.jpg
This is basically how Draco looks like. The sword is also apart of his attire.

History: Draco was born an orphan in Floaroma Town. His mother and father were killed by Team Galactic. A wild Staraptor and Luxray found him and somehow worked together and raised the boy. Being raised by pokemon, he learned how to speak PokeSpeak. At age 8, he finally came into contact with man, and through that, he learned how to speak the way a human should. being raised by a flying and electric, he always feels some kind of connection to those types and bonds with them easier. at age 12, he decides to become a trainer to avenge his true mother and father when he learned that they had been murdured. he learned this info from a pokemon who witnessed the cruel act. Before he left on his journey, his surrogate mother and father give him two eggs and tell him they contain a shinx and starly. he thanks them for everything they've every done for him and leaves. After a week, both the eggs hatch to his delight and he instantly bonds with his "siblings". Whenever he goes into a pokemon battle, he feels weak because he knows that without Shinx and Starly, he'd be defenseless so he learns to wield a sword very easily, naturally and quickly.

Personality: (what we should know before the RP starts to better understand and interact with your character)
