The Uprising: Liberating the Katsu Region
(A sequel to The Uprising: Fighting the Pokémon Extermination - http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=161674)

PG-13 for violence, moderate romance and moderate swearing.

They had fled as fugitives...
and now they return as freedom fighters.

Three years have passed since the group of vigilantes who called themselves "The Uprising," a group which formed in order to fight against a law established in Katsu that ordered the immediate exportation of all Pokémon, disappeared without a trace from the region. Since then, an organization originally established in order to export the Pokémon of the region, more commonly known as Pokémon Exporting Services (PXS), has now revealed its true intentions of taking over the government it had once served. Using their arsenal of Pokémon, which had been hidden away during the course of their operation, they have successfully been able to secure the entire northern section of the region. Since the law banning all Pokémon from the region had left the region in a state of economic decay, few people were able to escape to neighboring areas, especially since there has been no move made by the government to repeal a law forbidding the transfer to other regions. The lucky people who managed to reach surrounding regions spread the word well enough to an enraged and dismayed public. Certain that they will be able to stifle this "minor" civil dispute and still keeping their eyes firmly on their dream to make the region free of Pokémon, the government of Katsu refuses outside intervention and threatens war against anyone who makes a military move concerning anything that takes place in the region. So PXS has been free to make their slow southern advance over the region.

The Uprising, however, has been on the move.

Feeding off of the outrage of Pokemon Trainers from all regions, the group has managed to gain more support than ever before. After years of planning, they are finally ready to return in order to topple the highly organized and efficient PXS and free the Katsu region from its iron grip. Complications arrive on account of the fact that The Uprising is still being pursued by the government itself as well, though their ill-armed police force is a joke compared to the ranks of PXS and thus pose virtually no threat to either group. As The Uprising starts chipping deeper into PXS in order to uproot the unwanted invader, they come across information that suggests yet another force may be at work that reaches far beyond the Katsu region...

You are a Trainer, either a new recruit or an old member. You sympathize with what is going on in the Katsu region and are consequently fighting to liberate it. But will you and your team be able to handle the constant fighting and hold your own in The Uprising without getting crushed or left behind in the process?

Trainer:
Name: Beo Zyph
Age: 21 Gender: Male

Appearance: Appearance: Beo is not a very tall person by any standards. He is only 5 foot 6 and some people dont really think he can handle many tough things at his height. He has a very athletic build though. Before Beo met the uprising his face was emotionless barley ever showing any care for anyone or anything other then his partner Blaze. Beo can now usually be seen with a smile. However his eyes remain the same emotionless black they used to be. Beo's hair has grown much over the last three years it's still blonde but instead of being spiked up it is long and shaggy down over his ears.

As far as his attire is concerned he still dresses quite the same way. He wears a pair of jeans that are ripped in several areas. His Nike shoes are covered in mud and are tattered and worn in. Beo how now just wears a long sleeve black under armour shirts, with a dark blue vest over top of it. He has completely gotten rid of the cape as it had several gun shots through it after the battle at frosty gorge.

Personality: Beo's personality has changed drastically since he met the uprising. Before meeting them three years ago he was a very emotionless person, he only ever showed compassion to his lone pokemon Blaze (Charizard). However after spending a year in the Katsu region and seeing all of the wrong things going on with that region he changed his ways. Now he is a very caring person having three pokemon in his team instead of just Blaze. He no longer feels the need to separate himself from others, instead he is now able to work along side others for a common goal.Beo has always had the same fatal flaw though. Whenever he sees someone else in trouble or danger he finds himself not hesaiting and just jumping right in to help them. This usually causes him to find himself in dangerous situations. It may have been the surviving a gun shot wound that has changed his personality, or just the fact of finding a cause to believe in.

On a side note, Beo has a hard time falling asleep at night because when he is alone and it's quite he has more time to reflect on his parents dissappreance and this is the one thing that bothers him, it causes him to have nightmares. If you ever catch him on a morning after one of those nights he won't be as friendly.

Background: Before meeting the uprising Beo had lived in Pallet town. However at the age of ten his parents mysteriously disappeared, the only thing he had left to remind him of them was a pokemon egg his father gave him just days before. The egg would eventually hatch into his best and only friend Blaze. After the disappearance of his parents Beo lived with prof. Oak for a few years before leaving and traveling alone with Blaze. They would eventually find there way to the Katsu region where he would be attacked by members of the PXS and only when Blaze evolved into a Charizard they managed to escape and become secluded in a tiny shack in Frosty Gorge.

After the incident in Frosty Gorge Beo awoke to find he was lying in a cot inside the pokemon center of Frosty Gorge. The Nurse told him he had been shot in the stomach and it just barley missed hitting his liver. He was lucky to be alive, Blaze however wasn't as lucky; he had taken several shots to his wings and body. It would be a month or so before Blaze would regain his strength.

When Beo was finally able to move he left the Katsu region unsure of where Chris, Greg or the rest of the Uprising had fled to. Beo made his way to the Johto region where he began to look for his parents with his trusty pokemon Blaze and Wags. However over the three years of training and searching he hadn't heard of anything about the Uprising but still he couldn't get them or the Katsu Region off his mind, he felt like he needed to return at one point and do something.

Additional Information: Beo has become very skilled in using a small sword which he keeps hidden under his vest.

RP Sample: Do I have to?

006charizard.png

Breed: Blaze (charizard)
Gender: Male
Moves: Flare blitz, Fly, seismic toss, Slash.
Appearance: Blaze has a scar over his right eye, as well there are several small scars across both his wings, and however they are only noticeable whenever he spreads them out.
Personality: Blaze's personality is match like Beo's. Before the uprising he only looked out for himself and Beo however after the incident he's personality has adapted to match Beo's, because they both consider themselves lucky to be alive.
History: Blaze was given to Beo by his father in the form of a pokemon egg at the age of ten. He has spent the last 11 years with his trainer and the two are inseparable.
Additional information: May or may not hold the key to the disappearance of Beo's parents.
062poliwrath.png

Breed: Wags (Poliwrath)
Gender: Male
Moves: Bubblebeam, hypnosis, Dynamic punch, body slam.
Appearance: Wags looks just like any other Poliwrath.
Personality: When Beo first found Wags he was a scared little pokemon with no guts to stand up and fight. But after spending it's time with Beo and evolving it has become a fighter and more ferocious.
History: Beo first stumbled upon Wags during a battle in Frosty Gorge with Greg. They both found it very weird for a poliwag to be in an area such as Frosty Gorge. During the incident Beo kept Wags in it's pokeball the whole time.
153bayleef.png

Breed: Leafy (Bayleef)
Gender: Female
Moves: Razor leaf, synthesis, poison powder, reflect
Appearance: Same as any other.
Personality: Leafy is the complete opposite of the rest of Beo's party. She is overly friendly and is always searching for attention. She will try to always get out of her pokeball when Beo has Blaze or Wags out.
History: Beo met and captured Leafy as a Chikorita outside of Goldenrod City while journeying through the Johto Region. He actually found it next to the daycare which may hint at the fact it was newly hatched and escaped from there.

CHARACTER

Name: Sierra Christina Gray
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: Standing at five feet five inches with a weight of 118 pounds and an 82 cm bust, Sierra roughly meets the average height/weight/bust measurements for one her age. Her eyes are a dark shade of amber, and have been mistaken as a light brown by many. Her hair is jet-black in color and reaches the bottom of her neck. She has a slim forelock of hair sticking up and pointing to her right, which she made on purpose. The bottom half of this ahoge is dyed a royal purple.

As for attire, Sierra likes to wear dark t-shirts with golden Kanji in the middle. She is careful that she doesn't pick out a shirt with a symbol that means something offensive or vulgar, though. She tends to wear skirts with a flower pattern on the far front left or right, and will wear short shorts beneath said skirts. Her preference in footwear consists mostly of "schoolgirl shoes" (those being flat shoes with a buckle) and ankle or heel-length socks.
Personality: Take someone who loves all kinds of Pokemon, add in an obsession with the metaphysical world and a taste for adventure, and you've got Sierra. She grew up alongside Pokemon her whole life, so she has come to treat each and every single one equally, despite the fact that people are biased towards certain Pokemon. She also grew up with a psychic for a mother, and thus learned to believe in her inner conscience and the power of positive thinking. She also believed in the existence of spirits and extraterrestrials (Sierra was one of those people who believed that there were aliens in humanoid figures, since Pokemon themselves were believed to come from outer space), and opened up her mind to all the possibilities. Sierra yearns for the chance to travel the entire world, being able to see sights found only in certain places. Keeping her obsession in mind, she'd also like to be able to see if there are others out there who share her beliefs.
Background: Throughout her whole life, Sierra was your average child. She had a family with normal jobs, and attended school like anyone else. Her mother was a kindergarten teacher, though she could see things hardly anyone else could see, and thus opened Sierra's mind up to the fact that anything was possible. Her father, on the other hand, was a Pokemon breeder, specializing in all sorts of breeding. From Abomasnow to Zubat, Sierra had seen most the Pokemon that were known to exist, and they were pretty much the only companions she ever had.

On her thirteenth birthday, Sierra received two Eevees, each with a personality of its own. It was also that very same year that Sierra came down with a rather unusual case of amnesia. She remembered names, personalities, and appearances, but would forget what she ate for breakfast, or how she came to be in her room, that sort of thing. Since then, she carried a journal around, keeping track of where she went or what she did during the day.

When Sierra's sixteenth birthday came around, two years after the disappearance of "The Uprising", a stranger showed up at her door. She claimed to be a friend of Pokemon, but ended up taking away all the Pokemon living with Sierra, as well as her father, who bred them. Sierra didn't know why this person was doing so, but later read about PXS and their claiming to export Pokemon. A month after her father was taken, another stranger showed up, claiming to be a friend of Sierra's father. She gave Sierra three Poke Balls, each containing Pokemon the friend claimed would be useful in escaping. Her mother, of course, did not understand what her old friend was implying, but before she could ask, her friend was gone.

Then PXS revealed their true intentions.

Because Sierra lived in the northern part of the Katsu region, it was hard for anyone to escape. Her mother, however, asked that Sierra leave on her own, with the Pokemon she had received and kept hidden. Sierra was reluctant to leave her mother with what was going on, and Sierra's mother herself was worried that Sierra would run into trouble because of her odd amnesia, but sure enough, Sierra was able to make it out of the northern part without being sighted.

As soon as she landed in one of the safer towns, she caught wind of The Uprising's supposed revival. Even if the government was still after them, Sierra could not forgive the PXD for taking her father and companions from her. She tracked down where most of The Uprising was, and after persuading them to let her join, became a member herself.
Additional Information: As mentioned, Sierra has an unusual case of amnesia. She can remember the names of people and Pokemon (Pokemon nickanames included), she can remember anyone's personality (hers included), anyone's appearance, and, oddly enough, musical pieces she's heard. However, without the help of her journal, she cannot remember what she ate, what she did, where she went, etc. after a period of time.
RP Sample: I just wrote this one-shot yesterday, so yeah: http://suwako.livejournal.com/5254.html

POKEMON

Nickname: Kanon
Breed: Eevee
Gender: Male
Moves: Last Resort, Curse, Wish, Bite
Appearance: Sierra gave him a necklace with a crescent moon amulet to wear. It is nothing more than an accessory, though.
Personality: Out of the two Eevees, Kanon is the braver of the two. He isn't afraid to challenge Pokemon stronger or larger than he is, but because of this has gotten Gardia and himself in trouble. As a result, Sierra keeps a close eye on him.
History: Kanon was one of the two Eevees Sierra had received on her thirteenth birthday. Her father wanted her to have the finest of all the Eevees he bred, so he kept Kanon and Gardia specifically for her. Kanon's name came from "Canon", a term used in music. It took more time for Kanon to get used to Sierra, but seeing how Gardia warmed up to Sierra rather quickly, he soon learned to trust her.
Additional information: He has a Brave nature and the Adaptability ability.

Nickname: Gardia
Breed: Eevee
Gender: Female
Moves: Helping Hand, Fake Tears, Tickle, Trump Card
Appearance: Sierra gave her a necklace with a sun amulet to wear. It is nothing more than an accessory, though.
Personality: Out of the two Eevees, Gardia is the most timid. She dislikes fighting, and would rather be at Sierra's side than on the battlefield anyday. However, she works well with Kanon in battle, supporting him as best as she can. Sierra doesn't have to worry about her as much as Kanon.
History: Like Kanon, Gardia was one of the finest Eevees Sierra's father had bred. Surprisingly enough, both were born around the same time, so they could be considered brother and sister. Gardia's name came from a type of protozoa with a whiplike tail that infected the human intestinal tract and caused giardiasis, although Sierra named her that because it sounded pretty. Unlike Kanon, Gardia warmed up to Sierra just after Sierra got ownership of her.
Additional information: She has a Timid nature and the Run Away ability.

Nickname: Elena
Breed: Aggron
Gender: Female
Moves: Iron Defense, Iron Head, Brick Break, Screech
Appearance: N/A
Personality: Elena is the most adamant out of all of Sierra's Pokemon. She has been known to sometimes do her own thing in battle, whether Sierra asked her to do it or not. But of all her Pokemon, Sierra doesn't mind, because Elena's high Defense and powerful attacks are enough to keep her going. Elena is also used as a means of traveling on land.
History: Elena was one of the three Pokemon Sierra received after her father was taken away. Elena started as a Lairon, and didn't like Sierra at first, disobeying her at all costs, but after being saved from having to take a bath (Sierra's mother was not the most knowledgeable about Pokemon), Elena grew to like her trainer and eventually recognized her as someone able to hold her own. "Elena" Sierra's "imaginary friend" (which may have likely been a ghost), hence the name.
Additional information: She has an Adamant nature and the Sturdy ability.

Nickname: Gajeel
Breed: Skarmory
Gender: Male
Moves: Roost, Fly, Swords Dance, Agility
Appearance: N/A
Personality: Gajeel is rather mischievous, and will often pull pranks to Sierra's dismay. He dislikes working with other Pokemon, and will often fly off to do his own thing. Nonetheless, he is very loyal to Sierra and will do as told as long as no other Pokemon are involved. Gajeel also allows Sierra to fly on his back, so she uses him to travel in the sky if she needs to get somewhere quickly.
History: Gajeel was another one of the three Pokemon Sierra received at once. He trusted Sierra from the very start, though it took Sierra some time to warm up to him because of his demeanor. His name is a corruption of "Gash" and "Steel".
Additional information: He has an Impish nature and the Keen Eye ability.

Nickname: Tara
Breed: Lapras
Gender: Female
Moves: Brine, Surf, Ice Beam, Perish Song
Appearance: N/A
Personality: Tara is the most humble out of all Sierra's Pokemon, and will not take any insults or compliments to mind. She is rather motherly towards the rest of Sierra's Pokemon, Kanon and Gardia especially, and doesn't mind Sierra using her to travel on water.
History: Tara was the final of the three Pokemon Sierra had received. Despite Sierra's age, Tara considered Sierra to be a young child, and tried nurturing her as best as she could. She was jealous of the attention Sierra's mother gave Sierra, so she tried to be an even better mother towards Sierra and her fellow teammates. When Sierra was young, Tara was one of her favorite names for a girl, which is how the Lapras got her name.
Additional information: She has a Modest nature and the Water Absorb ability.

CHARACTER:

Name: Greg Jarvis
Age: 19
Gender: Male

Appearance: Since fleeing Frosty Gorge three years ago, Greg has grown further to a height of 6"3. Greg's skin is a fine, deep pale colour. He has rich green eyes and his hair is a brilliant brown. It is now shorter than it was before, growing outward and backwards. He also has a little stubble now as he approaches the end of his teen years. He has also lost a considerable amount of weight in the three years he has been living on the road, certainly looking much fitter than he did back when he joined the Uprising.

Clothing wise, Greg has opted for a more grown up look than he had before. He now wears a black leather jacket, keeping valuables and posessions in the many large pockets it has. Under this is a plain green t-shirt, which you can usually see as Greg prefers to keep his jacket unzipped. He wears dark blue, bootleg jeans aswell as dark brown boots. Accesory wise, Greg has a watch on his left wrist and above all, a belt with two holsters for his guns.

Personality: Greg's personality has also changed slightly in the last three years. Wheras before he was more kindhearted and negotiable, he opts for dealing with conflicts in a quick, more physical way now. He has also became a little more blunt, not afraid to speak his mind or voice his opinion. He has also developed a habit of sounding quite threatening to his enemies, while not losing his temper and keeping his composure. He hasn't necissarily got nerves of steel, but he is less phased or worried about certain things now than he was before, sometimes even itching for a little action.

This dosen't mean he has turned into a bully or a bad person. Underneath, Greg is still the same considerate, social guy he was when he first met The Uprising at Frosty Gorge. He dosen't neccissarily seek out new friends, however he values relationships and will look out for them. Though he may not show it, Greg still worries about his family above all others, and can break under too much pressure.

Greg's view on pokemon hasn't changed either. He still thinks they are fascinating creatures, and has little trouble in gaining their trust. His love for pokemon is part of the reason he still fights for The Uprising.

Background: Greg always wanted to go on his own journey out in the vast world of Pokemon. His main goal was to gain experience and become a gym leader, however due to the PXS this was no longer possible. He comes from a typical family: a mum, dad, sister, and a new baby sister. They all lived in Frosty Gorge in the Katsu region before the incident three years ago.

[I'll begin this part of the history from where the original RP left off ;)]

Greg managed to sneak out of Frosty Gorge after he noticed everyone else splitting up and doing the same. Once outside the walls, he flew on Krow, his Honchkrow, as far away as he could. With no particular place to go, he reached the nearest port town and took the ship to wherever it was headed. This tunred out to be the Sinnoh region. Much to Greg's relief, this place was unaffected by the PXS - seeming like a haven compared to Katsu. He took this opportunity to travel the region and fulfill his ambition of journeying with pokemon.

Along the way, Greg also made sure to spread awareness of Katsu's crisis - talking with local town halls or police stations. Notices were going up, and demonstrations began taking place in selected areas. Greg hoped he had rallied some support for The Uprising through this - if anyone was brave enough. Additionally, Greg caught two more pokemon during his Sinnoh travels: an Elekid and a Monferno. Elekid has since evolved one stage.

Greg never set the idea of returning to Katsu out of his mind. He still dosen't know of the whearabouts of his family, or the state they're in. He had to go back and save his home - this is his main motive.

Additional Information: Greg has become quite adapt with guns now. He carries two handguns in his holsters, aswell as a rifle on his back. It could be argued that he is like a marksman, skilled in accuracy and able to land shots from a considerable distance away. Also, his voice has gotten deeper too - not dramatically but it sounds smoother than when his voice was still in the proccess of breaking three years ago.

Character:

Name: Chris Eaton

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Background: (Continuing from after Katsu)

Escaping from the Katsu region seemed easy, at least, compared to immediately after. After the escape, Chris found himself in a port, looking for the first ship out of the region. Johto would've been preferable, or even Sinnoh, but fate decided to show him to one place: Sootopolis City. Chris froze as he read his ticket. The next ship wasn't set to leave for another 2 days, there was no way he could stay here that long. For the sake of his Pokémon and future, Chris took the ship, headed to the last place he wanted to be.

Upon arrival at Sootopolis, he kept low, heading to the Pokémon Center for shelter and protection, but what were the chances of running into the last person he needed to see: his mother. Chris's body tensed up as their gazes met, ready to sprint off into any direction, but he didn't need to. Before he could even react, his mother embraced him, immediately sputtering how they hadn't missed one of his televised matches, or how they never stopped supporting him along the way, or how much they missed him.

Tears filling his eyes, his mother dragged him back to the house, the very same he ran away from. Here, he would stay for two months, healing both his wounds and heart. Finally, he again left, but this time, saying goodbye.

His first stop was LittleRoot town, only bringing Dile and Sakura along. Here, he sped through the Hoenn Challenge, earning all the badges in a little under a year, and re-earning the gazes of the battling world. He soon competed in the Hoenn League Championship, winning 9th place with his team.

Not satisfied with the placement, but not disheartened, Chris traveled back to Sootopolis, intent on taking a ship to the Sinnoh league. But not before he got a phone call. Immediately after he hung up his PokeGear, he canceled his ticket to Sinnoh, instead, getting one for Kanto. He was going to take the Battle Frontier Challenge.

Chris took a year and a half to complete this challenge, a lot longer than most, but never losing a battle. His heart soared as his name was added to the prestigious list of winners. However, as prestigious as it was, he continued on, the very next day heading to the Sevii Islands. For the next 4 months, Chris trained on these islands, battling trainer after trainer on the islands, before finally heading back to Johto. As fate would have it, his friend, Professor Elm, needed an aid. Taking the job to repay his friend, Chris traveled weekly around the Johto region for Elm, collecting research and again, battling in the gyms and tournaments around the area. However, every week when he returned to Elm's laboratory, he would stop and change his team, making sure every Pokémon of his got equal time.

During these 3 years, Chris never forgot about what happened in Katsu, and would sometimes lie awake on cold nights, just remembering what happened.

Personality: A sarcastic response is the base for most jokes and conversations he makes. However, Chris now knows when he must be serious, sometimes resulting in an abrupt change of face.

Chris would do anything for his Pokemon, considering each one of them his family. No matter what happens, Chris always tries to keep them happy, knowing that if they respect and care for each other, they will work for each other. Things sometimes aren't easy this way, but it works. Trainers with no respect for Pokemon annoy Chris. While before Katsu, he would just glare at them, he now does something about it.

In the past 3 years, Chris has had the tendency to drift off in thought, inadvertently thinking about everything that happened in Katsu. What he did and how it affected everything. When he snaps back into reality, he immediately goes off to train his Pokémon, to try and get it off his mind. He often comments that it's his Pokémon that keep him going.

Although Chris can be rash in some situations and can get frustrated easily when things do not go his way, when Chris calms down and thinks things through, he is a brilliant tactician. But, if someone is able to get his too mad, he may lose his head. However, he does tend to make hasty decisions if time is short.

Most of the time he switches between phases of extremely good luck and extremely bad luck, making him a firm believer in superstition. Sometimes, streaks of bad luck can make Chris seem like a bit of a klutz and may put him in some awkward situations, especially when it matters the most. Nevertheless, things seem, for the most part, to always work out.

Chris can also be very competitive, especially when it comes to sports and challenges, often going into dangerous or somewhat foolhardy situations. Even against a close friend, Chris will give it his all so he can win. When someone beats him, he'll try to play it off, but in his mind, he will furiously go over for hours what could've gone wrong. Even so, Chris accepts loosing; he doesn't like it, but accepts it.

Working for Elm has give Chris more knowledge than ever, and now knows quite a bit about them, improving his battling.

Appearance: Chris has grown slightly since he escaped; now standing at 6`0`` but still retaining an athletic build. However, he still has medium-long, brown hair that spikes up in the front, flat on the top, and with smaller spikes on the back, although, a strand of it now covers his right eye. A light coat of stubble also covers his face, thicker on the chin than anywhere else. But, despite the minute changes, his eyes are unchanged from the deep blue color.

Nowadays, Chris is always dressed in a pair of faded jeans along with a pair of black and white sneakers. He wears a silver-blue t-shirt with random blue, zig-zag bars strewn around it as part of the design; under a black rain-jacket. Chris never keeps his knife on him anymore, fearing that it would make others feel uncomfortable.

RP Sample: NO SAMPLE FOR YOU! :3

Pokémon: (in party)

Nickname Dile (Di-L)
Species: Feraligatr
Gender: Male
Moves: Aqua Tail; Hydro Pump; Ice Beam; Bite
Appearance: Looks like a normal Feraligatr, except for a green stripe across his jaw.
History: Dile was Chris' first Pokémon. After arriving late from Sootopolis, Chris found that all of the Pokémon were already taken. Professor Elm, although he was studying the Totodile, sent the Totodile over through the Pc system for Chris. Dile is always a part of Chris team and has won him many tough battles with his Ice Beam attack. After the incident in the Katsu region, it didn't take long for Dile to evolve into a Crocanaw, and even shorter to evolve into a Feraligatr.
Personality: Despite the recent evolution, Dile has not changed. He still retains the childish and rash personality he's always had, constantly trying to be the center of attention with tricks and stunts.
However, he still is the closest to Chris out of all of his Pokémon, and shares many traits with his trainer.
---

Nickname: Sakura
Species: Pikachu
Gender: Female
Appearance: Normal Pikachu. Heart-Shaped tail.
Moves: Volt Tackle, Quick Attack, Thunderbolt, Iron Tail
Personality: Sakura is somewhat protective and affectionate at Chris. If someone threatens Chris or injures him, Sakura's cheeks start to spark and she shocks the person.
History: Chris found Sakura as a Pichu in the Johto region. As Chris was walking out of Violet City, he saw a group of trainers torturing a helpless Pichu. Chris and Totodile quickly chased them away, and gave the Pichu to a Pokémon center in Violet City. However, the Pichu was grateful of Chris saving her and decided to come with him. Chris noticed the Pichu's love of the Sakura flowers and named her after them.
After Katsu, Chris never let the Pokemon away from his side, not that she wanted to anyways. She always sits on Chris's shoulders, taunting Dile (now that he can't)
-----

Nickname: Takeo
Species: Buizel
Gender: Male
Moves Ice Beam, Water Pulse, Aqua Jet, Razor Wind
Appearance: Although the fur on the top of his head is spiked up in numerous directions, nothing else really separates him from other Buizel.
History: Chris received Takeo from Elm after completeing the Battle Frontier Challenge. Apparently, the Pokemon's previous owner abandoned the Buizel, and with Elm unable to care for it, the Buizel was sent to Chris. Although Takeo loves to fight, he hates to train, making the time spent with him in the Sevii Islands almost unbearable.
Personality: A loner that dislikes most other Pokémon and people, Takeo has been this way since day one. Although recently, he has warmed up to Chris a little, Takeo has a tendency to disobey Chris, going for power over tactics. He's not majorly bothered by other Pokémon, mostly ignoring them. However, he does get along well with Rio.
-----

Nickname: Fiore
Species: Breloom
Gender: Female
Moves Sleep Powder, Solar Beam, Focus Punch, Sky Uppercut
Appearance: The three bushes on her tail are orange and red instead of the usual green.
History: Caught as a shy Shoomish lost in the Viridian Forest, Fiore quickly took a liking to Chris. Although at first not much of a battler, Chris helped the Pokémon train hard, hastily allowing her to evolve. Now, she holds the crucial part of being the only Grass Pokémon with him.
Personality: Even though inside of battle Fiore is fierce, outside of battle, she still is the same shy Shroomish Chris found in the Viridian Forest. Over-apologetic and cautious as well, she prefers to stay out of the spotlight when not on the battlefield, standing as close to Chris as possible.
----

Nickname: Haru
Species: Swellow
Gender: Male
Moves Aerial Ace, Steel Wing, Theif, Giga Impact
Appearence: Looks like a normal Swellow, par one red line traveling from his right eye, to his neck.
History: Haru was Chris's first catch in the Hoenn region, and soon became one of his greatest assets, but greatest liabilities. Despite this setback in personality, Haru quickly evolved in the quest for the gym badges, winning Chris many badges.
Personality: The Pokémon sees itself as being the best out of everyone and thing, and is not afraid to show it. Most of the time, it struts around, showing off its power and pride. Luckily, he doesn't try to undermine Chris, and listens well.
----

Nickname: Ryuu
Species: Gligar
Gender: Male
Moves: X-Scissor, Earthquake, Fire Fang, Stone Edge
Appearance: This Gligar is a bit larger than most others, probably contributing to its personality as well. Ryuu also has one fang, his right one to be precise, which always sticks out over his bottom lip.
Personality: Arrogant and egotistical, Ryuu has always strives to be the best. Preferring to be alone most of the time, the Pokémon constantly trains to fulfill this idea. He seems to vie against Haru, possibly because they share the same insane beliefs.

History: Traveling through the Southern regions of Johto, Chris came across this arrogant Gligar. Overconfident and alone, the Pokémon attempted to beat Chris. Although easily defeated by him, Ryuu has now become a vital part of Chris's battling team.

Name: Issac Rendell

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Appearance: Issac has a standard appearance typical to that of men of his era and region, meaning he doesn't stand out in crowds, a trait he rather enjoys. He stands at about 5"11 with a capable body weighing in at about 185 pounds. Issac has long legs and arms each with their own level of muscle tone, suggesting he is more than skin and bones, but also giving his body odd proportions with his short torso. His skin, while naturally white as a sheet, has light tan due to his love for the outdoors giving him a not so sickly appearance.

Looking at his head and face, Issac carries a young bright expression on his face that can be easily seen due to his unkempt light brown hair, that remains out of his face so he can fully experience the world in front of him. Issac's eyes are an emerald green with a certain shine that reveals a free nature to them however they are far from overbearing, despite the eyes being quite large. His face is fairly youthful and clean with the sole exception being a blonde shadow of facial hair. This is due to Issac's claims that shaving is an unnecessary chore. He sports a single piercing, a sliver loop on his right ear lobe. This was a spur of the moment activity and Issac often forgets it is there.

Issac's wardrobe is fairly unoriginal and does anything but make him stand out. To cover his chest, Issac wears a deep blue T-shirt with abstract white designs to add some character to an otherwise plain shirt. There appears to be no real style or purpose of the designs and are little more than random lines and words to designate the brand of T-shirt. Ever since his experiences with the cold of Johto's northern regions, he has since invested in a black jacket, which is torn and running on its last legs suggesting he takes very poor care of the jacket. Issac's lower body is protected by the same brand of unoriginal glory as a pair of grey jeans have been picked to dress that particular region, and a plain leather belt keeps them embarrassingly crashing to the floor for whatever reason. The belt is also home to his pokeballs, which total 5 in number.

Issac holds himself in high regard, standing tall and holding his head up when he walks. However, he tends to walk casually and calmly sending people mixed messages. He always has a smile on his face and speaks calmly in most situations unless emotionally stirred which with his lax and carefree attitude rarely occurs.

Issac has a single additional accessory in the form of a pair of sunglass built in the sports style with ebony black lenses. He learned to wear them constantly due to the experience of fighting Hoenn's sun.

Personality: Issac considers himself "a man of common sense with a strong desire to live life to the fullest.". He is eccentric yet laid back. Enlightening yet idiotic. Rash yet resourceful. Issac prefers to approach life with an open, optimistic look, seeing negativity as something better wasted on marriage (that being said, Issac is the bit of the ladies man). He is carefree and laid back, taking life as it comes or as some say "go with the flow". Issac typically improvises, making up everything as he goes gone seeing planning as something that wastes time. Issac prefers action over debate and as a result is a bit of anarchist, holding many problems and disagreements with the established systems of government. Issac tries his best to remain calm and collected at all times, only expressing his opinions and desires at best and acting on them in a controlled manner as not upset the status quo.

Issac is considered by many to be a lazy genius. While he is an expert in the world of "street smarts" due to his experience in the real world and down to earth mentality, he fails in the intellectual department having barely passed high school with a C average. He has conveyed the sense that is fairly lazy in all aspects of life, but he considers this a strength in that he knows to relax and doesn't let stress bother him. That being said, Issac is confident in his talents and abilities, always approaching new challenges that intrigue him with enthusiasm and desire to succeed. However, if he is uninterested by something he will immediately turn it down in favor of something more...."out there".

Even though Issac is down to earth, Issac is spiritually inclined. He believes in the forces of karma, believing that those who do good will receive good things in return and vice versa. As a result, Issac has a strong moral desire to be good as a possible and follows what he believes is right at the given moment. By adopting this world philosophy, he has experienced his own share of experiences and considers himself "world weary" knowing how the world operates on some level (but don't ask him about complicated stuff like politics) . He remains optimistic despite that and always believe someone can do good in some way, making him somewhat naive and innocent.

Issac is an expressive, childish individual and his interactions with others reflects that. Issac has be known to say things during the spur of the moment, causing his speech feel ranty and unintelligent, giving the impression that he improvises his speech as much as his own actions. He speaks with a calm, relaxed tone until he feels need to turn up the volume to get a point across, often incorporating body language into the mix. While some consider him immature because of this, he can be serious during times that call for it usually by placing a stern face on and actually thinking about what he is going to say before actually saying it.

Overall, Issac is a man with a good heart that is both adaptable and fun to be around, despite his reckless, childish behavior that leads more harm than good.

Background: Issac came from a run of the mill home in a run of the mill city with run of the mill parents. Born in Pacifidlog Town, Issac spent the earliest years of his life being home-schooled by his mother and father. During these times, Issac learned about the wonders of nature and earned a level of respect for life, law and ethnics and the value of freedom. He became cultured despite the relative lack of mass media and the so called culture of urban life. However, his easy, carefree life was ruined when he was about 12 when his parents believed that moving to a more civilized home would prove vital for their son's future. Their new destination was Slateport City.

At Slateport, Issac attended the public school system starting in middle school. Issac found a hard time adjusting in school due to the culture shock he faced. Even though the move was not radical in distance, the way in which the city life operated was very different to the lifestyle he grew fond of. Suddenly he felt contained and lost so much of the freedom he valued back in the rural area of Pacifidlog Town. Issac frequently got in trouble with his peers and the figures of authority, including law enforcement and teachers. He would cut class, get into fights and publicly express his distaste for the public system of government (in his later years after he gained some wisdom). As a means of attempting to infuse responsibility and maturity in their son, his parents gifted with a Pokemon. His father was gifted a Riolu by his distant cousin who heard of Issac's rebellious nature. At 16, Issac questioned the purpose of the exercise but realized it was cool to have a Pokemon and accepted the gift. Raising the Riolu returned Issac to his calmer state and infused a level of maturity that was lost over the years due to the change in the environment. Issac's behavior was controlled (though still reckless) and he grew up into a fine young man with his Pokemon at his side. By the time he graduated, Riolu evolved into Lucario and Issac grew out his troublemaker fad into more of a punk ass adult that enjoyed an act of mischief here and there. Upon graduation however, Issac felt lost and confused unaware of where to go with his life. His father, wanting the best for his son, suggested wandering the world for several years until something speaks to Issac's heart. Issac pondered the suggestion for a few days before taking his father's advice. Issac saw opportunity in the idea and accepted the invitation.

For the next 7 years, Issac traveled the world with Lucario (now named Luke) being his best friend and brother, guiding him along the more socially acceptable path. Issac first traveled the world of Hoenn which he would spend the next several months of his life, capturing a select few Pokemon and accepting the Gym Leader Challenge. Despite successfully defeating the 8 gyms of Hoenn, Issac failed to get very far in the Pokemon League losing in the second round. Issac then traveled to the land of Johto after hearing on their own Pokemon League system. He would spend an entire year in Johto, training his Pokemon and gathering skills needed for his next career path. In the last few months of Johto tour, Issac collected the 8 badges (with extreme difficulty when facing Clair) and entered the Pokemon league. Here Issac would ascend the semi-finals before ultimately losing to a trainer from Pallet town. Taking the defeat fairly hard, Issac decided that with his current mindset and talent pool that competitive battling was not his cup of tea and needed to gain more experience before reaching paramount success. At the age of 20, Issac resolved that he wander the regions of the Pokemon world with open eyes and seek odd jobs as a means of gaining experience and possibly acquire some new Pokemon along the way. His travels recently brought him to the land of Sinnoh where he met a young trainer who eagerly challenged him to a battle. The battle proved to be challenging but Issac ultimately prevailed. The trainer then introduced himself as a member of 'The Uprising' and attempted to recruit Issac. While hesitant, Issac saw an opportunity to do something with his life. The trainer than disappeared without a trace leaving Isaac in the middle of Sinnoh with little idea of what 'The Uprising' really is. Convinced he signed up for spam mail, Issac continued with his travels in Sinnoh and then returned back home to Slateport, where he was reunited with his family and friends. Since then, he purchased a small apartment, convinced his longtime girlfriend to move with him and has been enjoying a run of the mill life. However, the day he was recruited still bothers him.

RP Sample: This taken from the currently run Pokemon Adventure RP. It is far from my best work as I am still rusty.

Name: Marcus Alexander Beith
Age: 21
Gender: Male

Appearance: Well tanned, tall (5'11), and athletic, Marcus is the stereotypical outdoors-man, which is odd considering he lived most of his life in the tenements of Saffron City. Possessing stunningly gray eyes and short, black hair (gelled up in a fauxhawk). The sole remains of the life he led are a broken nose which goes a tad to the left, a missing molar, and hard-earned muscles, which he is rather proud of. Due to a lack of resources, he usually shaves about once a week, and therefore has his face covered in black stubble for several days at a time. Commonly, he wears baggy, faded carpenter's jeans, a pair of scuffed, worn out work boots, and a plain white t-shirt and black track jacket with red and white stripes on the collar.

Personality: Marcus has a tough-luck approach to life, which he more commonly uses to hide his complaints against his own damn luck. Hard-working and hard-going, Marcus frequently marches to point where he topples over from exhaustion, always hearing something that tells him to keep going forward. When nobody's around, Marcus frequently berates himself, cursing his luck, his pokemon, and everyone around him for leading him astray from his original course.

He speaks harshly, though more out of force of habit then anything else. His pokemon take his comments with a grain of salt, remembering that he means little or none of the abuse he throws at them. Other people are usually slow to recognize it, however. He is believed to speak in a British accent under extreme stress.

Background: Born in Saffron City, Marcus was far too poor to begin a Pokemon journey, so he started off unemployed and watching Pokemon documentaries and competitive battling, both of which eventually fueled his drive to become a Pokemon hunter. When he was 15 and walking home from a construction site where he worked off the books, Marcus encountered a Pokemon - a Tyrogue that had been abandoned. Not needing a second chance, Marcus 'adopted' the abandoned Pokemon, nabbed his meager savings, and took off down the road.

Unfortunately, he ran out of money in Fuschia City. Not content to starve to death, Marcus began sneaking into the Safari Zone after-hours to steal Pokemon, then promptly sell them to Team Rocket and various collectors to get food, medicine, and more pokeballs.

With some backing from the Rockets, Marcus improved his hunting abilities and was jet-setting around the globe, making off with hundreds of pokemon at a time, and all without the use of complex machinery that most other hunters used, not to mention being pursued by six different police forces. He was once heard to boast, "Gimme a knife, a tree, an Ultra Ball, and some dirt and I can catch the Galaxy." Unfortunately, luck caught him when he was hunting Tyranitar in Katsu, and he was promptly stuck in a country where Pokemon, much less stealing and selling them, were outlawed.
He spent the last two years wandering, stealing what he needed to eat and working off the books or providing muscle for various gangs, keeping his Pokemon a secret, and trying to find a way out of that damn country. Hearing news of an Uprising, Marcus abandoned the gangs and construction sites, determined that his best way of leaving Katsu behind him is to join up.

Additional Information:

Pokemon:
Brucie (male Hitmonlee)
Hi Jump Kick
Meditate
Revenge

The most violent member of Marcus' team, Brucie spends most of his time beating up trees and building walls for practice, and beating the crap out of other's pokemon in battles, and occasionally their trainers. Possessing little time for more intellectual pursuits, he nonetheless has a close bond with Hando, much to the surprise of everyone. He obeys Marcus absolutely, and frequently attempts to beat Shaka to a bloody pulp whenever possible.

Resembles a more muscular Hitmonlee except for a rougher, more cut-up and bruised torso from years of one man fighting.

Hando: (Male Tyranitar)
Crunch
Earthquake
Ice Beam
Return

The more philosophical member of the team, Hando is prone to incredible feats of violence, and then quiet contemplation over the most mundane occurrences, which he often shares with Brucie, his more violent foil, not that it does much to alter his companions personality. He regards Marcus as an amusing study, and Shaka with utter contempt. Surprisingly, he is kind and gregarious around many other Pokemon, including baby pokemon.

Resembles a regular Tyranitar, but with several teeth missing.

Shaka: (Female Crobat)
Mean Look
Air Slash
Fly
Poison Fang

The newbie to Marcus' team, Shaka commonly transports Marcus during the dead of night, when most people won't notice a giant, four-winged Pokemon transporting someone across Katsu. Having as deep set a personality as her master, Shaka frequently accompanies her master's angry outbursts about life, luck, and everything else with incessant, annoying crows. Coincidentally, she is unliked by Brucie and Hando, and too a lesser extent by Marcus.

Exactly like a regular Crobat, though a bit malnourished, as a result of Brucie and Hando throwing her food away when Marcus isn't looking

Name: Clyde Levi Winters
Age: 17
Gender: Male

Appearance:

Body: Clyde is a taller guy, reaching the height of 6'1". He has a built frame and has skin that's smooth and a light khaki. Clyde has a slightly larger head and hollow cheeks. His eyes are a suspicious crimson, as is his hair. His ears are fitting, his nose is smaller and his eyebrows are thick.

Clothes: Clyde has on a white overcoat, quite like a labcoat. Under this he has on a light blue t-shirt and navy blue jeans. His shoes are yellow with random orange designs, an orange scarf, and a yellow snow cap. He wears a silver wristwatch.

Personality:

Clyde is a strong-willed man who will stick to any task until he meets his goal. He will toil tirelessly to learn the rules of any game and practice endlessly until it is mastered. He holds a sheepish smile on an earnest face peppered with freckles, his boyish charm. He is meticulous in his efforts and can paint a smooth straight line with seemingly great ease. He can dissect a fly between the head and thorax without a microscope.

This youth is not only quick witted, he can solve any riddle presented with a pinch of his eye, finger to his chin, a slight concentration shown by the side twitch of his lips. He surpasses all in imagination. His stories are written with an author's mastery. He has above-average intellect, yet is modest in his portrayal of such genius. He will seem to hold back in servitude, yet will volunteer as though it is second nature when it is needed.

Clyde loves all things living, and takes great joy in observing the natural world around him. He spends countless hours surrounding himself with the marvels of the world. He can, yet, be stubborn and selfish, but only occasionally. He can be persistent and self-centered, and can be ignorant. Clyde can lose things easily, is overly emotional and, usually, can't see things that are in plain sight.

Background:

Clyde was born in Fuschia City, and was the grandson of the Safari Warden. He lived roughley in the center of the city with his mother, grandfather, older brother Mason, younger sister Gina, and cousins Harold and Leayla. His cousin Harold was the driver of the tram through the safari zone, and his mother was the giude. He usually stayed home to babysit Gina and Leayla while his grandfather went to visit his brother, Boaba, in the Johto region. Mason treated him like a king and brought him souveneirs from wherever he had gone that month for his five-year training program to be a pokemon professor. Despite his brother's efforts to cheer him with attention, he was the least noticed and most deppresed in his house. He was best friends with Harold, four years older, and adored his Lucario as if it were his own. On his eleventh birthday, he received a Sneasel(Naomi), evolved, from an anonymous sender. His mother was astounded, as she knew who the pokemon had come from. She herself had gotten Clyde an Croagunk(Eton), evolved, whom he had loved dearly since the moment he saw him. He has since caught a Turtwig(Slate), evolved once, and an Aipom(Francine), evolved.

He joined the rebellion because he was sick and tired of Team Rocket telling his family what to do. It had already happened once, and he didn't want anyone to do it again. Join age: 15

RP sample(from an RP I wanted to join but had died):

"I just don't think that we should be stealing from these innocent people!"

"Well, if you find a better way to survive, let me know!" screamed Lucius.

"I just wanted to let you know that you were the one to say that we could do anything if we put our minds to it! Where's that Lucius?!" yelled Leigh. They had been pulled into the Aether , and Leigh was taking advantage of it. They had been stealing from resteruants in a nearby town. They had been hiding in a cave on the outskirts of this town, and they had acquired a map of their current region: Hoenn. They were looking for Mirage Island, because they had gotten the call. The call to Mirage Island. It wasn't so much that they wanted to go, it's just that they…were pulled. And now they were in the Aether.

"We were going over a plan to leave, anyway. We were almost done!" Lucius yelled. He felt like no one could understand him! No one could feel the—

"Lucius, don't look now, but there's an Absol right behind you."

Lucius turned anyway.

The Absol tackled him, but Leigh went into a frenzy. She kept using Iron Head, kept hitting the Disaster Pokemon with her giant jaws. She desperately tried to free her trainer, but the Absol just kept staring at Lucius. Then Lucius screamed, "I got the signal! I'm going to Mirage Island! Just please, get off of me!"

The Absol slowly retreated. "Who are you?"

"My name is Lucius Acryl. I'm going to Mirage Island to meet up with another Shifter. Who are you?"

"My name is Amaterasu the Absol, and that Shifter is my trainer. We can travel to Mirage Island together," said the Absol. She then asked, "Where are we, by the way?"

Lucius replied, "We are parallel to Fortree City in our world. We should go back and get our stuff, but… We have no control over when we Shift. It's quite embarrassing, really." He scratched the back of his head. "Is there any way that you could take us to…what should we call it?"

"We call the world we live in the Contemporary Realm, and this disgusting place is called the Aether Realm. It's bad enough that this realm IS, and now there's something here. I hate it. Hate it. H-A-T-E. It ," Amaterasu said. She spat at the dirt and then, by surprise, took them back. It was the first time that they felt or saw anything. It seemed like the Aether was melting, and then the Contemporary was melting atop of it. "This is usually what happens to us, and next is the prickling."

She was right. Lucius's skin was crawling, then his skin was prickling like he was growing needles. "When's this gonna end, anyway?"

"Right n—"

Amaterasu couldn't finish because at that moment, that precise moment, they entered the Contemporary. "Well, thanks." He then packed everything up while the girls talked it up in their foreign tongue. "I never seem to comprehend why girls can talk so much." He heard unisonic growls that meant that he should shut up. "Well, OK, little Misses Bossy."
They went back to the Aether, the opposite of what went on last time happening. "So we should head directly south…and that'll make us here, and it'll take us there. Pacifidlog Town. The only problem is that I don't know how long it'll take us…or how far we should go. And compasses don't work here, so I don't know where south IS," said Lucius. "Let's go back, use the compass, face south, come back, and go."

They did just that.

"Alright, we'll Shift back periodically and check where we are. Then, when we get to Pacifidlog, we'll go east. We'll have to take a boat for that…" pondered Lucius aloud. "LETTUCE LEAF!" And then they…leaft.

Name: Isabel Joy Evans (called "Is" by many)

Age: 19

Gender: female

Appearance: A lot of changes have occurred in Isabel since the time they left the Katsu region, which shows through clearly in her physical state. In addition to the inch that has been added to her height, bringing her to full 5'8", her frame has taken on a thin definition that boarders on sickly. Upon closer inspection, however, it becomes apparent that her muscles have been carefully toned through rigorous training. Her skin, once tan, has now faded to a neigh translucent white. She had long since allowed the color in her hair grow out, left with nothing but the drastic black of her natural locks, which she cut as short as possible while still allowing her keep it tied back. Isabel has large ice-blue eyes which never seem to soften or warm, slicing deep into whoever her gaze turns on. The delicate cut of her facial features hint at a shadow of mature beauty, but her hard and critical air banish any such observations. Her teeth, though rarely shown and never seen under the condition of a pleasant smile, are straight and noticeably white beneath her pink lips.
Isabel's basic attire has remained the same. She still wears a black hooded sweatshirt with a white tank top underneath. A pair of darkwash jeans hang loosely over her legs, somewhat worn at the cuffs and knees. She wears a thick leather belt around her waist, in which she holds her five PokeBalls when it is not necessary to keep them hidden, as well as a pistol under the same circumstances. In the way of footwear, Isabel has stuck to her black leather boots, which are relatively new and well-kept. Around her wrist, she still wears her old bracelet with multicolored beads, though the dominant color among them is now purple.

Personality: Cold and calculated is the most efficient way to describe Isabel's personality. She is constantly evaluating the current situation, carefully reading the expressions and body language of the people around her in order to be properly prepared for anything that might occur. People will often be confused as to why Isabel acts/reacts the way that she does, as they do not perceive all that she does, but despite what people say, she rarely ever overreacts. Isabel now resides in only one emotional mindset: reserved, cool, distant, determined and indifferent toward anything she finds to be inconsequential or superfluous. If she is ever drawn out of this state, all hell is let loose in a fiery, not to mention typically painful, blast. If one wishes to avoid immediate hospitalization, a good piece of advice would be to not question Isabel's authority or make her feel threatened in any way, as her retaliation often borderlines on deadly. In her mind, individuals rarely have worth in themselves, which makes them rather dispensable. Unless the fate of the Uprising or its cause depends on a single person's health, Isabel won't spare so much as a thought about a member's injuries in any other form than a tally added to the casualty number. In essence, all other focuses in her life have been replaced with The Uprising and its mission. Many people question whether she even remembers what the Uprising is actually working toward, though naturally never to her face, or if she has simply gotten lost in the work of the organization itself. Those people are often confused by the way she treats Pokemon when compared to the way she treats people. Anything that remains of her affection is directed to those creatures, though that has significantly dwindled as well. She would do anything within her power to take care of and heal an injured Pokemon, but anything beyond that, even toward her own Team, is insignificant to nil. Even in battle, Isabel's calm and confident appearance typically remains fused to her features, while on her mind is working harder than ever before. All the information she gleaned from her years battling and studying Pokemon flood together to form a strategy that adapts to whatever situation she is currently in. She isn't afraid to "play dirty," figuring that sportsmanship ends when a war begins, and will exploit her opponent's weakness for all that it's worth. Even when a situation appears to be hopeless, Isabel will fight through to the end unless she can somehow see something to be gained from surrender. She will rarely willingly speak to another person other than to give them orders or discuss other Uprising related topics and therefore spends any time she has free, which is rare, wandering off by herself to think. As she rarely has any time to waste, Isabel has long since given up on any hobbies and therefore has few interests to share with others, which is perfectly fine with her.

Background: Isabel was born and raised on an Eevee farm just outside of Chipper City, one of the most prominent and successful cities in the Southern section of the Katsu region at that time. Her quiet life was shattered, however, when the law ordering the exportation of all Pokemon from the region caused the rapid removal of the Eevees from their home. Her father found work as a law enforcement official, however, so they were still able to hold their own when many others slid into the slush of the following economic decay. Her brother, Trent, refused to give up his Pokemon and ran away. Unable to bear watching her lifelong companions be exported one by one, Isabel took most of the remaining Pokemon from her home and left with her friend Audrey to join a new cause called the Uprising. Isabel was forced to take the leadership role of the Uprising after an event in a place called Shadow Valley when an ambush on the group cut its numbers in half, killing many and causing many others (believed to be dead) to be captured. It was only after the fighting that occurred in Frosty Gorge that almost all of the captured members were killed and the Uprising was forced to flee the region.
Past Three Years: Since leaving the Katsu region, Isabel has been working nonstop to spread the word about what has been going on back home as well as gaining the sympathy of the general public. After the various governments made it clear that it would be impossible for them to directly aid the Uprising, Isabel focused her energies on gaining support both fiscally and in the form of new recruits. She also began honing various skills she thought would be useful: computer hacking, improving her aim at a firing range, learning the locations of pressure points on the human body, martial arts, etc. Isabel was surprised at just how quickly she acquired these skills, but simply shrugged it off. Once she felt that she had gotten enough support to return to Katsu, and when she feared that waiting any longer could result in the entire region falling, she called together everyone willing and got ahold of a ship to bring the Uprising back and finally finish what they had begun.

Additional Information: She's the leader of the Uprising by default :P

Name: Adam Garett de Locke
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Adam has dark, neat, medium-short brown hair, which is kept in a good condition in most circumstances, but naturally this is not always the case. He has unusually pale skin, and his face is sprinkled with freckles, particularly around the nose and eyes. His lips are a few shades darker than his skin, and they are thin and medium-widthed. His teeth are a natural off-white, and he has a slight overbite, but nothing overly noticable. His eyes are grey towards the outside of the iris, melting into a soft brown towards the pupil. His jaw is thin-ish and his cheekbones are set lower down in his face than normal. He has a gaunt, light set face. When he speaks, it is with clarity and confidence with a soft French accent.

He is medium-tall in height, standing around an inch above other people. He is lean but not thin, and his arms reach down to his waist, with his long, slender, elegant hands going down slightly further. His fingers reflect his overall hand shape, being long, dainty and elegant, and his nails are sharp and pointed while remaining reasonably well trimmed. He has a single cut below the nail on the ring finger. He does not have a noticeable six-pack or anything of that like, but his ribs give a slight bulge through his chest, and his chest is riddled with bullet scars.

A lot of his height comes from his legs, but not so much to make him look gangly. His legs are similiar to his arms; long, elegant and graceful, whilst being thick enough to support the rest of his body. His ankles are relatively thick, and leadd to a wide and long foot, with short toes with normal nails. His legs are somewhat devoid of hair, but ther eis still a small amount.

He usually wears a burgundy trenchcoat, with black, unmarked shoulderpads, which is buttoned up over his torso, with long sleeves that go down to his wist. When he wears this, nothing is seen of the long sleeved shirt, either balck or burgundy in colour, always cotton, and always with white wrists. He wears black denim jeans and white cotton socks, with black-and-orange walking shoes. He carries a lot of his belongings either in his pockets or in a grey zip-up backpack which he carries... On his back. In colder weather, he wears black gloves and a black scarf both made of cotton, and in warmer weather, he removes the trenchcoat.

Personality:

Haughty. Cold. Intelligent. Adam is all of these and more. His years in service to the Secret Flame has left him with a personality adapted to hard times in guerilla fighting and a deep mistrust of strangers. He can seem cruel and extreme to other people, but he would say it is what is necessary. He has lived too long to give other people the benefit of the doubt, and too long to know that people are, in fact good. Or so he believes. He has a love of control over any situation possible- often using fire to get his way over anything.

His intelligence is unusually high, and is in itself unusual. For whilst he is brilliant at mathematics, science, etc. what he truly excels at is no science or practical matter- it is matters of the soul, and electification. For the words from Adam's mouth and mind are enough to inspire or intimidate many men into doing as he says, or to fight for their cause with a ferocity that is matched by few- with a religious fervor and conviction, his tasks will be completed with a force to reckon with.

He seems to emanate fear, with a steely silence and a gaze that strikes fear into the hearts of any man, no matter how strong the willpower of said man. His icy resolve leads many to admire him for what he does- or fear him for what he can do. Indeed, his abilities as a strategist and tactician are good, but not legendary- he is a better solo operator than a team worker, but he can work with others if needs be.

But he is not all the cold individual he seems to be- indeed, the fact he has joined The Uprising at least shows a shred of evidence for this. He does care deeply for his Pokemon, and would do most anything to provide for them, thought he would say that this is because he owes them his life many times over rather than anything else, or the truth- that he does in fact truly love them. Those who he judges worthy of respect have his undying loyalty- after all, what can you give if not your life for another? He can be kind and caring to those he respects as friends, but the fact he meets very few who he deems worthy of his respect leads general consensus to be that he is a dark and silent, shadowy figure. But he rarely has the chance to show a softer side- a side that in reality, just wants to spend time with someone, just to talk, and just to be friends with. He is a passionate and dutiful writer and reader, and this is reflected in his speeches and general charisma.

He loves classical music and timeless, ancient books that others would readily burn. He has thrown himself into literature long since abandoned by mankind, and despises trashy, cheap books. He is known to love beautiful and passionate art, and he respects pieces in which the artist pour their heart and soul into. He is also known to have a sweet tooth and an unusual love of flying types. His ideal evening would be sitting in an armchair next to a roaring fire with a good book and some music softly playing in the backround, surrounded by his beloved Pokemon.

Background:
Adam was born into a poor and difficult lifestyle- for the first five years of his life, it took all his wits just to survive in the slums of Saffron City's poor district which is generally kept hidden form public view. His parents always thought of him as useless- in the slums, it was better to be strong than smart, and Adam was more agile than aggressive. Eventually, at the age of thriteen, he was illegally sold to the Secret Flame, a secretive group who were known as assassins, thieves and spies. At first, he resented the training they forced upon him, but later accepted the fact- this was his life. This is all it's ever going to be. After this, he excelled, revelling in the use of espionage, stealth and shadow that fitted him just perfectly. He was paired with a Skarmory named Firehawk- as his first partner, his frist true friend, he loved it beyond anything else in the world.

Slowly, he learnt to love murder- the glee he fealt hearing his victims heartbeat quicken as they felt him draw near, the suspense of the chase, and finally, finally, the sweet joy that came from a kill. He was degrading into a primal hunter- and he had no idea. Then Marcia came along.

Marcia was like a sister to Adam. From age eighteen, the pair were inseparable, completing missions together, spending time together, and training with and against each other. Almost never they fought, and when they did, it was over some trivial thing that soon no longer mattered. Eventually, Marcia revealed she had feelings for Adam- feelings he felt he wasn't capable of. Though this drove a wedge between them, eventually Adam seceded and tried a relationship. But as any hunter knows, love is fragile, and love is weak. And in the end... It always burns.

It was on a mission to kill to head of Silph. Co when it happened. Firehawk became jealous of Adam's affections towads Marcia. At the top level of Silph Co, surrounded by guards and the target escaping, Marcia darted after him. Adam dived in the way of a dozen bullets, aimed at her, and ended up crippled on the floor for hours. Marcia stood over him and ordered the guards to take him away. He was betrayed. He was infuriated. With his rage giving him inhuman stamina, he stood, and raised the knife intended for the head of Silph. Co's chest- and plunged it deep into the chest of the woman he had once called his love.

His memory of the next month was hazy- wracked by grief, anger and hatred, he wouldn't surrender to torture, and eventually, the Secret Flame sent a rescue team to deliver him to the nearest safehouse, where he just lay there to die. It was Firehawk who delivered him from death, for at the end, he knew he had to live on- for him, and for no other. And so, after three years of reocvery, at the age of 26, he left the Secret Flame safehouse to look for adventure, excitement, and intrigue. He became a sinewy wanderer- a bard, almost, using poetry and literature sometimes, deadly skills other times. When he heard of the Uprising in the Katsu region, at 27, he felt an odd feeling in his heart he had never felt- he wanted to help the Pokemon and people of Katsu. He found a representative of the Uprising and prepared to help them liberate the Katsu Region.

RP Sample:
I haven't been in an RP for so long. I'll write about... the incident at Silph.

I step into the office, and look around. Marcia did the same, although not furtively, like me. Almost nervously, like she expected something. I touch her shoulder and she flinches, then smiles. 'Come on, we have to get moving... this place closes in an hour.' She says. I nod, and we walk through the building, searching for the guards who held the key cards we needed. One fights us. He had a gun and a Machoke. I felt a pang of remorse at that moment. This man might have a family. But so insignificant... So weak... So arrogant. I snarled and raised my own gun as he fired. I swiftly sidle out of the way and spin, firing as I do so. Purity incapacitates the Machoke, wounding it severely. The man stares in horror at the bullet heading towards his forehead. He is sent flying backwards, and with a sickening crunch crashes into the wall behind him. Blood, black as night and wet as water, pours from his mouth. I nudge his body and check his pulse. He's alive, and suffering. Closing my eyes, and... something else. Tears? I'm... actually fighting back tears. I shake my head and shoot the man in the head twice, killing him instantly and painlessly. We move on.

About half an hour later, we come into the staff room of the Silph corporaton. The head of Silph smiles at me, cooly and collected. I immediately sense a trap, as he stands and walks to an elevator. I notice guards piling into the room. I feel fear in the bottom of my stomach, like a weight upon my entire body. I need to move, or Marcia and I will be killed. Suddenly, stupidly, amazingly, rashly, Marcia leaps towards the manager. I jump out in front of her, in the way of her and the gurads, crying out loudly, 'Marcia, No!' She smiles and laughs. The fear in my stomach turns to ice as I realise what happens. It's a lie. It's all a lie. I feel something smashing into me. I feel like death. I... I've been shot. Suddenly, the pain is replaced by something. An anger I've never felt before. I look at my chest, riddled with bullet marks and bleeding. They have all, miraculously, missed my vital organs. I realise only now that I have collapsed. I think of what happened, and who did this... It wasn't the gunmen. They were only the tools of a skilled operator. The true enemy is Marcia. The anger forces me to my feet, and I glare at Marcia. I can't see Purity anywhere- I can only pray she's escaped alive. Until then, if there ever is a then, I have to take revenge. The anger in my heart must make me look like an insane madman- for Marcia is staring at me, wide-eyed and terrified, both by the danger I pose and the impossible strength that lets me stand under wounds that would usually kill a lesser man. Not I, though. Each step impossible, I feel like I'm walking on sand. I truly feel that each step will be my last, and then I remember what they are taking me to- Marcia. She's stopped. I thik she is as powerless as I was on the ground a few moments ago. Finally, I'm standing by her, looming over her. She collapses to the floor, holding her arms up in defense as I rain down blow after blow with my bare hands, and each strike tears my soul in two- the killer within me and lover of Marcia. She's begging me to stop, to forgive her, but the words fall on ears deaf to mercy. Finally, staring into the eyes of a beaten, desperate body, barely clinging on to life, I take out my knife, and stab my enemy in the chest. She takes a single, short, sharp breath in... And breathes no more. Finally, my legs give way and I land on top of her corpse. Too repulsed to just lie anywhere near her, I crawl away from her, leaving a trail of blood as I drag myself along the ground. Finally, as I can go no further, I turn once to see the broken and mangled corpse of a woman I once called my lover. I had no regrets.

Name: Audrey Elyse Dewitt (called Aud, Auds, or anything else one wishes to call her, really)
Age:
nineteen
Gender:
female

Appearance:
Audrey stands just barely on the short side for a girl her age, keeping the same slender build she had had three years previously. Her expressive jade eyes are a bright contrast against her fair skin. On a whim, she decided to cut and dye her hair, and it is now brown with a few streaks of pink, reaching just past her shoulders. Most days, she pulls it half back to keep it out of her face. Audrey's preferred everyday outfit consists of a floral red and salmon colored sundress made travel-worthy by a pair of jeans beneath it. Her idea of "practical footwear" is nothing more than a pair of light-up sneakers, though goodness knows where she found a pair in her size. She wears simple jewelry: a woven bracelet on her left wrist, a silver ring on her right hand, and a silver necklace. She always carries around a sizable messenger bag, filled with everything from a bottle of water to a small Skitty plushie.

Personality:
Audrey is the type of person who seems to take everything with a grain of sugar as opposed to salt. Almost constantly cheerful, Audrey can always find the silver lining to a situation, or perhaps she sees the entire cloud as silver. The epitome of a ditzy social butterfly, she often speaks very rapidly, which contributes toward her aura of perpetual hyper energy. Easily pleased and entertained, Audrey is also quickly distracted by shiny or cute objects, and her attention span is akin to that of a squirrel. She considers most Pokémon to be adorable, though she has a phobia of Spinaraks, Ariadoses, and some Bug Pokémon. Audrey often throws herself headlong into situations without a thought to the possible consequences. She will flirt with the boys who come her way and occasionally turn them to her or her friends' advantage. Despite her shortcomings, she always bounces back after any sort insult aimed her way. Fiercely loyal to her friends, she has a soft heart, always willing to help someone in need. Audrey harbors a deep love for Pokémon and the people of the Katsu region; consequently, she does her best to remain focused when on a mission with the Uprising. When confronted with something undesirable, she shuts it out, resulting in a good deal of time spent in her own little world. Every now and then, Audrey's more serious side comes out. This usually occurs on the Uprising's more important missions. At these times, she is much less flighty, shows more sensitivity, and takes things far more earnestly than she would under normal circumstances.

Background:
Audrey was born in Crystal City, though she has no memories of it. Her parents moved their newborn daughter and three-year-old son to the outskirts of Chipper City shortly after in order to be closer to their extended family. Her father worked as a physician, and her mother stayed at home with her young children. Audrey's fondest childhood memories involve the days she spent with her best friend, Isabel, lovingly dubbed "Sabey," on the Evans' Eevee farm. On her tenth birthday, her family gave her a Sentret. The two of them were never apart. Three years later, Audrey received her second Pokémon. A breeder, a friend of the family, had an extra, unwanted egg, which he gave to the girl. The egg soon hatched into a Togepi. Another three years passed, and Audrey was perfectly content to live at home with her family and Pokémon. Audrey's brother, Keith, was interested in the medical profession at this point and became an exchange student in Hoenn's Rustboro City. Soon after his departure, the law that aimed to eliminate Pokémon from the Katsu region came into effect. Now just turned sixteen, Audrey and her friend Isabel set out to join the movement against the law: the Uprising. During her time with the Uprising, Audrey obtained the first and only Pokémon she captured in the wild: a Riolu. When the Uprising came under attack in Shadow Valley, Audrey, along with many of her comrades, was captured by PXS. Eventually, the group broke out of captivity, disguised themselves as members of the very organization that had held them captive, and set out within PXS to Frosty Gorge. There, the old Uprising force was almost entirely wiped out, but Audrey managed to escape with the new Uprising, led by her friend Isabel, and fled the region. Audrey spent the largest portion of the next three years following Isabel around, increasingly worried about the changes occurring in her friend. Eventually, Audrey and Isabel parted ways, and Audrey traveled to Rustboro City to visit her brother, now in an internship. They had been out of contact both with each other and with their parents for some time, ever since the Katsu region had blocked off the communication. Audrey stayed with Keith for some time, always spreading the word in whatever way possible, including via blog, about the Katsu region in order to gain support for the Uprising. Upon receiving the call from Isabel, she bid farewell to her brother. Though sympathetic to the Uprising's cause, Keith was unable to leave Rustboro at the time despite his willingness to join, and gave what support he could.

Additional Information: Since Audrey and I have polar opposite personalities, I may struggle at RPing her. I might have Keith join up later if she starts to get to me.

RP Sample: I think you know my writing style fairly well by now....

Nickname:
Rhee
Breed:
Furret
Gender:
female
Moves:
Sucker Punch, Protect, Facade, Hidden Power
Appearance:
Normal for her species.
Personality:
Audrey's first Pokémon, Rhee is very like her Trainer. She has very little ability to concentrate and is always running and bouncing around energetically. Just as scatterbrained as Audrey, Rhee trusts her Trainer completely. This can be a self-destructing combination if neither are entirely on task, but it causes a strong bond between them. Rhee will never disobey anything Audrey tells her and absolutely adores the girl. Rhee is very friendly with Audrey's other Pokémon, regardless of whether or not they appreciate it.
History:
Rhee was given to Audrey on the girl's tenth birthday by her family, shortly after the Sentret had hatched. Audrey named and raised Rhee, and she evolved into a Furret three and a half years later.
Additional Information:
n/a

Nickname:
Tik (pronounced "teek")
Breed:
Togetic
Gender:
female
Moves:
Magical Leaf, Wish, Secret Power, Psychic
Appearance:
Normal for her species, except her triangles are lighter shades of red and blue than normal.
Personality:
Tik is a very gentle and generally cheerful Pokémon who cares greatly for her Trainer. Audrey and Tik get along very well, and have a bit of an understanding in which Tik will remind Audrey to get her head out of the clouds when necessary. Gifted with a good deal more common sense than either Audrey or Rhee, Tik is the voice of reason among Audrey's team, though she goes about it kindly, as befits her nature. Tik acts as the mediator between Rhee and Luce, and shares a bond of sorts with each.
History:
At the age of thirteen, Audrey received Tik while still in the egg. A breeder, who was a friend of the family, had an egg without a home, which he gave to Audrey. When the Togepi hatched, Audrey decided to call it Tik and raised it much like she had Rhee. Tik evolved into a Togetic when Audrey was almost sixteen years old.
Additional Information:
n/a

Nickname:
Luce
Breed:
Riolu
Gender:
male
Moves:
Drain Punch, Force Palm, Agility, Sky Uppercut
Appearance:
Normal for his species.
Personality:
Luce is the tactician of Audrey's team. Smart and calculating, he regards his fellow team members with a grudging respect, though he gets along far better with Tik than with Rhee, whose demeanor he dislikes. He shares a close bond with his Trainer despite their opposing personalities. By far the most serious of Audrey's Pokémon, Luce will override her orders without hesitation if he thinks he has a better way.
History:
With the help of some of her peers in the Uprising, Audrey caught Luce while traveling in the Katsu region. Though he did not get along with the others in his team at first, Audrey's kindness eventually won him over to her side.
Additional Information:
Although Luce has been with Audrey for over three years now, he has not evolved into a Lucario. He may know why, but he has not made this clear to Audrey. She does not care in the least and remains convinced of his cuteness, much to his chagrin.

(OOC: Sorry it's so short. Don't hesitate to ask any questions related to this on the OOC thread ^.^' Be sure to check post #52 on the OOC thread before posting.)

Isabel stood in the forepeak of the boat, breathing in the warm sea-salted air as the vessel gently rocked beneath her. The beauty of the blue-green waves and clear skies was wasted on her, as her mind was focused on things far less poetic. The boat was rather unimpressive, not much more than a large fishing boat, as it was a donation from a man in Slateport City that she managed to obtain a few weeks earlier. It was just large enough to carry all of the members who were ready to go in time, though a few others would have to find another way over on their own. She had come in contact with a few people who wished to join the Uprising at their destination as well, and any information that could be obtained from them as to the events of the past three years was essential. And now after all this time, the Uprising was finally returning to the Katsu region.

A sliver of green was rapidly beginning to form on the horizon, breaking Isabel from her thoughts. She turned and made her way through the clumps of Trainers without a word, approaching the section where the driver stood.

"How much longer until we reach shore?" Isabel asked, her voice sharp and abrupt enough to cause the driver to jump.

"Oh, not too much longer," he said, squinting at the growing strip of land. "I'd say about twenty minutes or so. Not any more than that."

Isabel nodded, turning and making her way back through the people once more. Once she broke through to the edge of the boat, Isabel leaned against the side and stared toward her home region, wondering just what it was they would be facing when they arrived.

(OOC: Sorry it's short, I just wanted to get a post in before I left work and won't have internet till tomorrow. They'll get better).

Beo peered down over the wings of his charizard Blaze to see the Katsu Region finally below him.

"This place... I thought we'd never come back Blaze" Beo whispered to his best friend. As he realized it was only a just a few short weeks ago Isabel had somehow managed to find him and contact him about finishing what they started three years ago in Katsu. It honestly was a strange feeling, and a small chill went down his spine as Blaze began his decent to the ground. The last time they were here they both almost died.

"Char!!" Blaze roared as he landed softly on the ground.

"Good boy, now for safety reasons you gotta go back in your pokeball" Beo said patting Blaze on the head and returning him to his ball. He then headed towards the shoreline where he could finally see the boat carrying the members of the uprising getting closer. He realized how weird it was going to be to get to see Chris and Greg and the others again, and at the same time he knew they had a job to do and it was going to be a difficult one.

Sat outside on a small ferry that offered daily trips between Sinnoh and Katsu, Greg looked out to the sea. He found it strange that something as basic as a large body of water could be so gripping. It was only the cawing of a few Wingull that were perched on the ship that snapped him out of his daydream.

Greg sighed - he was going back home. He wanted to be glad about it - he should have been glad about it. But he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. Who was to say that the outcome of this effort wouldn't be the same as three years ago? What if things had clamped down in Katsu. Well, at least he wasn't going it alone.

Subtely, he peeked into the guitar case he'd swiped at Canalave earlier - however it didn't contain a guitar. Inside, his trusted rifle, aswell as his two handguns were hidden. It wouldn't take a genious to guess the reaction of onlookers if he'd simply waltzed onto a boat with that kind of firepower.

The boat's horn bellowed twice. Greg leaned his head off the edge of the boat and looked ahead - there was land approaching. Smiling, he laid back in his seat once more and awaited arrival.

"There he is!" "Get him!" "Throw 'im overboard!"

Clyde heard the yells through the walls. They were looking for him. He had been caught, and if it weren't for that stupid little girl that wanted to play Hide-and-Seek, he would still be safe. "I found you!" she yad yelled, and her grandfather had called the staff. Clyde had just wanted to make a little girl happy. That's all.

"Ugh. Why couldn't it have been musical chairs? Then I would be in the sea already!" Clyde had stowed away on the S.S. Anne, and he had been caught playing Hide-and-Seek with a little girl. "Well," he said with a sigh, "I guess we'll have to jump overboard." Clyde opened the door a bit, and the coast was clear. He sneaked down the hall as he had taught himself to do, and made it to the deck. He ran to the nearest railing and held on. "Well, here goes nothin'. JERANEMO!!"

No splash. Just pain.

"Um...where am I?" Clyde asked as he sat up, in quite pain. "How did I get here?" But as soon as he had finished speaking, he went numb and slowly slipped into unconsciousness.

OOC: Mine is a bit longer (almost too long) but then again Isaac is one of the new recruits. So I wanted to fuel a little backstory. Its a bit melodramatic and cheesy, but its a first post. What else do you expect? ;)

Isaac leaned on the railing of the transport boat and stared into the mesmerizing waves of the ocean. The weather was about as perfect as one could wish for with warm air, a cool breeze and not a cloud in sight. Isaac should of been happy with his head held up high eagerly awaiting his next adventure into an unknown land, full of new opportunities. However, his mind was conflicted and shuffled more than a deck of playing cards. Knowing he had to sit down and focus, Isaac crashed onto the floor leaning on a nearby wall, staring out into the open sea. The smell of the fresh air was relaxing and Isaac found himself slowly falling asleep…….

***Flashback to a few hours before his departure***

"You are doing what?" the young woman questioned, as she slammed the small coffee table. Amidst the splashing burning liquids was a face of anger and shock staring into the depths of Isaac's young soul.

"I am leaving for some far away place…." Isaac said nervously with a forced chuckle.

"I heard you the first time!" She snarled back in anger.

"Then why did---"

"Shut up!" The young woman forced herself to calm down. She leaned back in her seat and held her head in her hands. The tension in the room was so thick you could slice with a knife. "You just came back from your adventures a few months ago and now you are telling me you have to go some place you never even heard of?"

"I know it sounds crazy, but give me a chance to explain. Please Eve." She crossed her arms and nodded in response, frustration on her face and anger in her heart. Isaac sighed. He couldn't do much else to relieve him of the stress. After all, the situation played out a lot better in his head. He placed his hands on the table and pulled himself forward and took a deep breath, before sharing his tale.

"It all started a little over a year ago. I had just arrived in Sinnoh and a young trainer challenged me to a battle. I accepted, as I had little choice in the first place. It was…close…to say the least but I am out the winner in the end. Shortly after, the trainer pulled me aside and began to speak to about the situation in Ka...Ka..whatever it's called. How some evil corporation or something is oppressing the people and the plights they are facing. Eventually he explained about the group that is choosing the end this. They called themselves "The Uprising" and he wanted me to join. I didn't believe the story at all, but I humored the man and allowed myself to be recruited. I fully believed I signed up for some scam or some spam mail. Never once did I believe this would happen."

Eve glanced around the room before leaning forward. She looked Isaac in the eye, trying to examine his intentions and see if Isaac spoke the truth. "You aren't lying," she muttered as she took another deep breath. "So now what?"

"I was told a boat would depart later today. Its the easiest way for me to get there."

"Will it be dangerous?" Eve's body language shifted. She was less tense, her voice sincere, her expression innocent.

"Probably."

"Then promise me this: You will come back in one piece." Her blue eyes matched Isaac's. She was being as strong as she could be, something Isaac always admired.

Isaac gently grasped Eve's delicate hands: "I will. I have something very important here waiting for me." Eve smiled in return. They both rose from their seats, hands still together. They stared into each other's eyes for a moment, and Isaac kissed Eve's forehead. "I'll see you in a while. Stay strong for me."
****************************
The all too familiar vision startled Isaac back awake. "Aw man, what was that?" Isaac asked himself. Why would I dream that?, he thought to himself. Maybe it was a sign. But what does it mean…..

Isaac reached deep into his pocket and pulled out a small black box. It fit well into the palm of his rather large hand. He held the box at eye level, as if he was analyzing the components and developing some scientific theory. Slowly, Isaac opened the box, and looked at its contents. Lying comfortably in white cardboard cut to match the shape of the object was a gold band decorated with a beautiful clear gem that glistened in the sun. It was within this gem that all his hopes and dreams were held. He closed the box and placed it back into his pocket. Isaac forced himself back to a standing position. That's right, he thought to himself once again with more focus. I can't doubt myself anymore. I have no time for that. There's no turning back. I believe in what I'm doing and I will succeed.

As he reassured himself, Isaac looked into the distance and saw the land ahead.

"That must be Katsu. I guess we are close," he said directed at the trainers around him.

For now, Ptera sat on top of Iago's shoulders but he knew that once he had fully grown, Ptera would be as big as him. Lucky for Iago, Ptera was still quite young. Iago watched out the corner of his eye as Ptera rested on his left shoulder, his tail wrapped firmly around Iago's neck and down under his shirt. Iago knew Ptera was only faking, he had slept for ten hours last night and this morning was fluttering around the apartment. Ptera rested his head upon Iago's as they continued their journey to the boat that they had been told would be waiting for them. Pitch followed closely behind Iago's leg, whimpering softly and huddling in as much as she could; she didn't like strangers and the crowded boardwalk made her that much more nervous.

"There, there Pitch, it's okay, I won't let anyone hurt you." He said in a soft, calm voice.

This managed to cheer Pitch up as she moved out from behind his leg and began walking beside him, eying closely the people who tread near her. They were a rag-tag mixture yet they all got along; they were a family.

"So here I am, walking down a boardwalk to a boat that will take me far away to another region; a region embroiled in disaster. I had Pitch at my side and Ptera watching out from my shoulders; what else could I ask for? This was my family, we were all different but it was our common experiences that had brought us together. We now had a purpose: a purpose to work, a purpose to fight and ultimately a purpose to live." Iago thought.

They arrived several minutes before the boat was due to leave and already there were trainers aboard ready to go.

"Pitch, Ptera, you guys have to go into your PokéBalls, else there will be little room on the boat. It won't last for long so don't worry. I'll let you out immediately once we land."

They both looked at Iago and grudgingly agreed; and were within their PokéBalls within seconds. Iago waited until the boat was taking off from the dock to catch it; this meant as little socialising as possible. The boat began pulling away and at this point he raced down the dock, catapulting off a wooden pole and landing just inside of the boat; crouching to disperse the kinetic energy. He immediately stood up; brushing off the creases in his clothing and tilting his head to the left then right – waiting for the familiar 'click'. The boat was nearly full – close quarters with strangers annoyed him most – he needed space. Iago moved forward though the throng of people, heading towards the head of the boat. He saw a girl move through the crowd towards him, moving to let her past. He followed where she had been and noticed space at the front of the boat where he had been heading.

After pushing though the crowd he finally managed to break free, and headed up on top – offsetting himself so that the captain had a clear view. Up ahead he saw the faint green outline of land- they were close. Iago sat down on the hard, wooden deck and closed his eyes. He began to meditate, letting his body follow the rolls of the waves against the boat as he emptied his mind of everything. He opened his touch and hearing senses up so that he could both feel and hear when someone got near or if they landed. For now, he would meditate until the time to move came near.

A small house, located on the top of a hill, could be seen in plain sight. South of this house was a village where people lived together and helped each other out. Most of them had a Pokemon or two, all bred by the owner of the house on top of the hill. As you can imagine, there were many Pokemon living in the house with that owner, his wife, and his child. The child was a bright young girl, knowing the difference between right and wrong. All was peaceful, and it seemed to never end.

And then they took that peace away.

The bright young girl was no longer living a peaceful life, but instead had to hide from those who wished to take her remaining companions from her. With most her memories kept in a raven-colored journal, she fled further and further. Finally, she reached a place where no harm could come to her.

But she was very wrong.

People eyed her cautiously, as if they suspected her of something. At once, they attacked her, and while she had Pokemon with her, she did not wish to hurt anyone. It was the end for her and her comrades...

Sierra blinked her eyes a couple times in response to the change in lighting. It was much brighter than in her dream. She took out her journal, somewhat worn from traveling, and began writing about the dream. It reminded her of what happened to her in reality, as the previous pages said so. Except... The ending wasn't bad like in the dream. After all, as she could see from her most recent entries, she joined the team that fought against those who worked against Pokemon, and fought the government in order to do so. She had recently written down the fact that she was now heading back to where it all started.

There was no one on this boat that Sierra knew. Of course, she knew she wasn't the only new one. But at the same time, she felt the most alone. She could make friends and keep them without having to resort to her journal to remember who they were, but she was fairly sure that no one else forgot what they had for breakfast or where they were going to. They were "normal", so to speak.

~x~

A few hours passed by, and again Sierra took out her journal and read what was going on. She had given it the name "Nikki" so that she wouldn't forget to read it. At one point, she had thought about giving human names, plain and simple, to her meals and other stuff, but thought that was overdoing it a little and thus refrained. And, when it came to books, she was somehow able to remember the plots completely, probably because of the characters and the fact that any good book would have a title to go with the story. She loved fairy tales and ghost stories the most. The former because she had always pretended to be a princess when she was little, though she forgot all about that; the latter because it had to do with the paranormal often, whether or not it was just to scare.

Her journal read again, Sierra headed out to the deck. She looked at the horizon, and noticed a slight piece of land that had popped up. So, we're almost there, huh. She took off her backpack and pulled two Poke Balls from it. Two Eevees came out when opened up.

"So, Gardia, Kanon, what do you think of this view?" Sierra asked the two. The Timid Eevee, Gardia, cocked her head and gave a guarded smile. The Brave Eevee, Kanon, yipped in excitement. Sierra couldn't help but smile at their reactions. "This'll be an interesting adventure, won't it?"
