    Well as a Liberal I also have to take into account the wholesale voter suppression being done with all of these state-based voter ID initiatives. :C

    But no, I'd rather have a higher turnout since that means more people actually care. :>

    Sarkozy was the Liberal candidate here. But then again, Hollande was the Socialist.

    Ah well Europeans consider the term "Liberal" as in Liberal in the economic sense of the word. As in "Keep government hands off my economic freedom and such." Quite Libertarian actually. I remember how my HS US Gov teacher taught us that and it caused quite a bit of confusion. xD

    • 211770. My high school US History teacher had a very amusing nickname for his liberal students like myself: IslamoCommuNazis. He was deliberately trying to offend the sensibilities of his liberal students. He did refer to himself as a right-wing nutjob quite frequently, though.
