NAME: T. Vital (Has no preference if you call him T, Vital, or both. He doesn't Disclose his first name)
AGE: 23
GENDER: Male
IDENTIFICATION:
Dark skinned, fit, male. He stands at exactly 6ft tall. He has dark red eyes.
BADGE SYMBOL:
The badge is white.
PERSONALITY: Vital is a strategist and a tactician. He possesses the ability to micromanage and macromanage efficiently, and is known for his strategy skills. Although he is physically fit, his fighting skills are fairly useless, thus he would prefer to have others do the fighting in his place. He has a fear of being forgotten.
His personality is rather kind, he prefers to speak in the most direct manner, and using the least amount of words he can. He also tends to get bored during drawn out conversations, and will make up plans for random things. His minimalist speaking style and matter-of-fact attitude is counterbalanced by his etiquette, defined voice, and his ability to know what to say.
Vital likes to think that everything can be predicted and from there avoided, or confronted, and that if he can't think of one, it is because of human error or lack of information. He has trouble doing things on the spot, and becomes incredibly stressed when he can't think of a solution to a problem. He almost never participates in direct combat without a weapon or specific strategy, and even then he is either thinking of an escape plan, or a way to take the least amount of pain.
Vital has two different personalities due to this. Under stress, Vital becomes short-sighted and unreasonable. He makes decisions that are reckless and destructive. He also losses any sense of morality. He also begins acting fearlessly, and would directly join combat as a result. With his abysmal fighting skills and stamina, this is his most vulnerable form, and also the time where he is most dangerous (to himself and his opponent, he relentlessly attacks, and can be somewhat surprising.)
His largest weakness is his reliance on other people or objects to get things done. His inability to do things manually makes him fairly useless in a direct confrontation. Additionally, his full faith in his own plans makes it hard for him to accept other people's plans as legitimate or better (unless their plan is derived from his own.). This doesn't mean that he underestimates people though, as he is very keen on learning the strengths and weaknesses of his enemies and allies. He will accept defeat, though he is likely to accept defeat before the game even begins (if he feels a plan won't have a high chance of success, he won't take the chance.)
PROVIDED HISTORY:
Vital's father was an officer in the military. His job was to recruit teenagers and young adults, and often came home with plenty of paperwork. His job required him to be a great public speaker, and he passed this importance of charisma down to his son through phone calls and recorded seminars (which was the only thing they had in common.). His mother was a professional actor, who traveled around the world and also had great charisma. Their jobs required them to move around a lot, but they didn't want Vital to grow up in different houses. Instead, they asked a friend (who herself was married and had a child, and was childhood friends with Vital's mother) to raise him, and bought a house for the four of them to live in. (The friend and her husband didn't have to chip in, and paid for all of the food/necessities instead)
He didn't live a lavish lifestyle, and he didn't get many things in terms of vanities. His parents would visit on holidays and occasionally during random points in the year, along with daily (yet empty) phone calls. (His father would be stationed in a totally different place, and his mother would be on tour for months on end, and even if she was off tour, she would spend more time with his father) so he didn't have a particularly deep attachment to them. He did however see his mother's friend as a mother figure, and looked up to her very much. Another role model he had was his grandmother and grandfather, who he loved to visit. They had both been teachers, and always knew how to teach Vital things I fun ways. They gave him the interest of academics. He grew up with the friend's daughter (who herself was very smart, and they often attempted to prove who was more intelligent.), up until they were separated when she was sent to private school. (As a complete side note, he completely thought of her as a sister.)
Vital lived fairly normally despite his home life. As a child, Vital had been praised as a brilliant child. He won most games of intelligence, and did exceptionally in school. His ability to plan quickly and constantly allowed him to overcome every challenge as a kid. He was also able to use his natural charisma, and became a very popular and trusted person in school. He didn't have a lot on interest in board games or video games, and preferred to use his talent managing real people.
He didn't fancy participating in sports, though he learned the rules to every sport at his high school in order to get involved with the strategic side. He used his knowledge and strategies to assist the team captains and coaches in winning their games. He helped his soccer, football, and baseball teams win a record amount of games, and received a scholarship in return. He rarely actually watched the sports matches due to his complete faith that the team had won.
His free time in high school, besides helping with sports strategies, was spent tutoring others and participating in a club that helped freshman and new students adjust to his school. His impact at school was very high, and this was intentional. He had a fear that people would forget him when he left, and as such did everything he could to help as many students as possible.
In university, Vital was much less involved in everything, and instead focused on a single goal. He was picked up by a group of gamers who asked him to help them with strategies so they could compete in competitive gaming. He agreed to become their strategist, and balanced that with his job and high school volunteer work. He didn't care much for his grades, and pulled an average grade each semester.
He learned of the program from one of his teammates, who told him of the pay and the experiment. Vital didn't really care for either of those, but wondered how he could use his skills in this "game". He dropped from the team (with confidence, as the team had already won plenty of tournaments and had developed the ability to strategize for themselves.).
At the age of 21, he legally changed his name to T. Vital. Vital was the last name of his mother's friend's family. The T. in his name is his actual last name, which he does not hold much value in. This being said, he still holds a small amount of respect for them, and has kept the first letter of the name. His current relations with them are very small, and he is more attached to the Vital family. His grandparents passed away of old age.
