  • If Seed Flare causes a sp.def drop Shaymin actually wins. (Yes, I know I shouldn't really talk about hax, but I think 40% is high enough.)

    Emboar @ Choice Band
    Trait: Blaze
    EVs: 236 HP / 252 Atk / 20 Spe
    Adamant Nature

    - Flare Blitz
    - Superpower
    - Wild Charge
    - Sleep Talk

Regice's Thunderbolt does not 2HKO, while Emboar's Superpower delivers an easy OHKO back. Yup, one of the best counters.

    Any Pokémon beats Emboar ;)

Let's go for a good ol' Sandslash!

    Sandslash @ Leftovers
    Trait: Sand Rush
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def
    Adamant nature
    • Earthquake
    • Stone Edge
    • X-Scissor
    • Rapid Spin
Sandslash guarantees OHKO with Earthquake, Emboar can only 2HKO at best, and Sandslash out-speeds if on a Sandstorm team.

  • Emboar actually outspeeds that Sandslash set (because Sandy's got no speed investment) and 2HKOes with Flare Blitz on the switch. Not a very good counter.

    Garchomp @ Roseli Berry
    Trait: Rough Skin
    EVs: 48 HP / 204 Atk / 252 Spe
    Adamant Nature

    - Swords Dance
    - Earthquake
    - Dragon Claw
    - Stone Edge / Fire Fang

This Garchomp is not 2HKOed by Earthquake, can boost with Swords Dance and destroy Sandslash with its own Earthquake. Stone Edge is there so Chomp can use Togekiss as toilet paper, but Fire Fang can be used instead if you really hate Skarmory.

Dat Clear Body says NO HAX FOR YOU.

    Whimisicott @Leftovers
    Nature: Bold
    Ability: Prankster
    EV: 252 Def, 252 hp
    Taunt, Encore, Substitute, Leech Seed

    204 Atk Garchomp Fire Fang vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Whimsicott: 112-132 (34.5 - 40.7%) -- 54% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

If Gar uses any other(useless) move against this terror sheep, she can simply Encore you-->Leech Seed--> watch the face of Gar slowly dying.

  • My build ideas may seem out of place here, as I tend to have very odd ones, but I figured I'd give it a try.

    Vileplume @ Toxic Sludge
    Ability: Effect Spore
    Nature: Modest
EVs: 200 Sp. Atk, 180 Sp. Def, 160 HP
    Sludge Bomb
    Giga Drain
    Synthesis
    Hidden Power (Ice)

Being Grass-type makes it immune to the only damage dealing move on the set, which is Leech Seed. Sludge Bomb hits the weakness, Giga Drain+Toxic Sludge and Synthesis later on for sustain. HP Ice helps with enemies it can't get a weakness on with Giga Drain or Sludge Bomb.

    Swalot @ Leftovers
    Ability: Liquid Ooze
    Nature: Sassy (+SDef, -Spd)
    EVs: 200 Def, 200 SDef, 140 SAtk
    - Gunk Shot
    - Yawn
    - Dream Eater
    - Hidden Power (Fire)

Resists all of the grass and poison moves, and ridiculous amounts of SDef prevent HP: Ice from doing much. Effect Spore won't come into play since it only has special attacks. Yawn + Dream Eater to OHKO, or HP: Fire spam.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, Liquid Ooze stops Giga Drain from healing.

    Heatran @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Flash Fire
    EVs: 252 SAtk, 252 Spd, 4 HP
    Timid Nature
    - Earth Power
    - Fire Blast
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Overheat

Guaranteed to out-speed Swalot thanks to Choice Scarf, then it could knock it down with an Earth Power or two. :p

    Type: Electric/Fire
    Ability: Levitate
    Nature: Modest (+SAtk, -Atk)
    EVs: 252 SAtk, 130 Spd, 128 HP

    - Hidden Power (Ground)
    - Discharge
    - Will-O-Wisp
    - Hex

Resists the fire and ice attacks and immune to ground attack. Spam HP Ground or try to use Hex if Discharge paralyzes.

    Flygon (M) @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - U-turn
    - Dragon Claw
    - Earthquake
    - ThunderPunch

Hidden Power and Discharge doesn't affect Flygon. The best Rotom could do is use Hex, which would take about four to five turns to knock it out.

    252+ SpA Rotom-H Hex (65 BP) vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Flygon: 62-73 (20.5 - 24.1%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
    252 Atk Flygon Dragon Claw vs. 128 HP / 0 Def Rotom-H: 103-123 (37.7 - 45%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

    252+ SpA Rotom-H Hex (130 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Flygon: 161-190 (53.3 - 62.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after burn damage
if rotom decides to burn flygon, flygon will be 2hko'd by hex. dragon claw from flygon 5hko's after burn.

    Avalugg @ Leftovers
    Sturdy
    252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
    Adamant nature
    - Rapid Spin
    - Recover
    - Avalanche
    - Earthquake

Avalanche OHKOs after taking pitiful damage from Flygon.

  • Heatran @ Air Balloon
    Trait: Flash Fire
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    Timid / Modest Nature

    - Fire Blast
    - Earth Power
    - Hidden Power Grass
    - Substitute / Toxic

Avalugg can't do crap to Heatran with Avalanche / Rapid Spin and can't hit it with EQ thanks to Air Balloon. Meanwhile, Fire Blast can OHKO Avalugg easily.

  • Gyarados (F) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Intimidate
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Waterfall
    - Earthquake
    - Dragon Dance
    - Ice Fang

The strongest move Heatran can hit Gyarados with is Fire Blast and it hardly 3HKOs it. Gyarados is able to OHKO Heatran with Waterfall on the following turn.

    252+ SpA Heatran Fire Blast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Gyarados: 99-117 (29.8 - 35.2%) -- 17.7% chance to 3HKO

    252+ Atk Life Orb Gyarados Waterfall vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 346-408 (106.7 - 125.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

How do you counter a Gyarados? With another Gyarados of course! ^^
    130.png

    -Gyarados w/Leftovers
    Nature: Adamant
    Ability: Intimidate
    EVs: 156 HP, 72 Attack, 96 Defense, 184 Sp.Defense
Moves: Waterfall, Dragon Dance, Taunt, Bounce

    I love Bulkydos.

    252+ Atk Life Orb Gyarados Waterfall vs. 156 HP / 96 Def Gyarados: 99-117 (26.7 - 31.6%) -- 20.4% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

    252+ Atk Life Orb Gyarados Ice Fang vs. 156 HP / 96 Def Gyarados: 107-126 (28.9 - 34%) -- 99% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

    72+ Atk Gyarados Bounce vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Gyarados: 157-186 (47.2 - 56%) -- 78.5% chance to 2HKO

Would normally do the calcs with the enemy Gyarados at +1, but Intimidate. So I win.

    56 HP / 252 Atk / 200 Speed
    Adamant Nature
    - Substitute
    - Freeze Shock
    - Fusion Bolt
    - Outrage

Sub bypasses Bounce, Kyurem also resists Waterfall and if Gyarados is stupid enouch to Taunt (lol?) Gyarados gets OHKO'd with Fusion Bolt. Also can take a +1 Bounce in a pinch with its asinine bulk.

    Mild/Rash Nature
    Trait: Motor Drive
    - Thunderbolt
    - Flamethrower

Old school EVire. Immune to T-Wave and resists Flash Cannon and ruins Klefki back with Flamethrower and Draining Kiss is weak as hell so yeah.

    Swampert @ Leftovers
    Trait: Torrent
    EVs: 252 Atk / 176 HP / 80 Def
    Adamant Nature
    - Stealth Rock
    - Waterfall
    - Earthquake
    - Stone Edge

Has immunity over Thunderbolt, and takes little to no damage from Flamethrower and Cross Chop. With one or two Earthquakes, it knocks-out Electivire pretty easily.

Good ol' Volcarona to the rescue :)

Not sure how Stealth Rocks are really supposed to work on this thread, but Volcarona should be able to take a layer and still destroy Celebi with STAB Bug Buzz. Volcarona resists Grass twice, resists Bug, and neutral to Fire. Stealth Rocks would be Celebi's only chance, but I don't think it would have bothered spitting them out against Swampert.

Stealth Rocks (or any other entry hazard) are not factored into the battles here:

The Pokémon should be able to KO it in a one on one situation, so there won't be Stealth Rock or Spikes on the field.
That's from Jin Of The Gale's OP for this thread.

    Nature: Careful
    Ability: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Sp.Defense, 4 Attack
Moves: Stone Edge, Magic Coat, Toxic, Protect

Thanks to its amazing defenses, Bastiodon can take a few Fiery Dances, even with Volcarona at +1:

    +1 252 SpA Volcarona Fiery Dance vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Bastiodon: 117-138 (36.1 - 42.5%) -- 93.3% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

And that's assuming Protect isn't used for an extra turn or 2 of recovery. Even with its pathetic offenses, an uninvested Stone Edge mauls Volcarona, even with a bit of bulk investment:
    4 Atk Bastiodon Stone Edge vs. 130 HP / 128 Def Volcarona: 304-364 (88.6 - 106.1%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
