Chapter 7~ First Round, First Battle. Last Round, Last Battle.
Jasper stood, on a battlefield once more, facing a younger kid, about ten yeras old, named Tony. In front of Tony stood his Seel, and in front of Jasper was Ditto. It was the first match of the Pokemon league, and Jasper, very excited, had been put on the Water field. The water field was a massive, deep, pool with a few small, square, white docks in it, for Pokemon who couldn't swim. Jasper hoped he would get lucky, and get a water type so he could be out at an advantage, or, up to par with Seel.
"You'll do brilliant." Jasper whispered to Ditto, who smiled. "Just do your own thing." Ditto nodded and turned back to the battle.
"PARTCIPANTS, GET READY! SET! BATTLE!" Ditto glowed a bright white light, and started gettng flatter, something growing out of his mouth. The other trainer looked puzzled.
"How did it do that!?" He shouted, but Ditto- or the new, purple shell-like Pokemon, with a tongue sticking out of it, that Jasper realized was a Shellder- had already lunged, a green bubble around it. The Seel dodged, and Tony returned to the battle. "Close one! Now, Headbutt!" By now, Shellder was jumping from platform to platform, pausing briefly on each one. While Shellder was paused, Seel attacked. Or tried to, as it bounced off of what Jasper new was a Protect.
"But, what is Shellder doing?" Jasper thought, as Shellder jumped and paused on the last platform, Seel still trying to Headbutt him. Jasper got his answer soon enough. Suddenly, the first platform split open, a whirlpool now where it had been. The others cracked too, all of the empty places now holding whirlpools.
"What! That's impossible!" Tony shrieked. "Shellder doesn't learn that until level 37, and the information on my computer said that your Ditto is level 20!" Jasper was just as puzzled as Tony. How could Ditto use Whirlpool, let alone under the platforms? But his mind was quickly back in the battle, axs he realized in shock what was happening. Shellder's Protect was up once more, and the whirlpools were growing, merging, forming together-into one big whirpool. There was no escape for Seel, as the whirlpool whipped him around, threw him in the air, crashed him against the sides of the pool. "NO!!!!!" Tony shrieked again, and it was done. Seel lay, at the bottom of the pool, knocked out, the water back to normal.
Tony yelled. His Pokemon was drowning, sunk at the bottom of the pool. Two workers ran onto the field, jumping into the pool, all the while Jasper's head spinning. How had it happened? How did his Ditto almost kill a Pokemon, by using a move that the Pokemon he had magically transformed into didn't learn for another seventeen levels. Jasper thought back to win he first recieved Ditto, from that odd, cloaked man who had saved him in the Safari Zone. And then, realization struck Jasper like lightning.
"HIM!" Jasper shouted, and in a flash of red, Ditto was back in it's Pokeball, and Jasper was running towards the door, back to the lobby. Once he was in the lobby, he turned, running down the hall to the battler's lounge. There, he spotted it. A battler locker, one of the locker's for the particpants. He ran to it, and flung it open, placing five pokeballs inside- every one of his Pokemon besides Ditto- and shut the door, turning and running back into the lobby, and out the set of double doors, huge, oak double doors. The locker stood, cracked open, on the front, on a white sticker, a name.
