12 I played HGSS before I played Pearl and did not know the Sinnoh Pokemon yet-- seeing a trainer at the battls frontier with a Staraptor for the first time really excited me. I felt the same way about Luxray. I was impressed by their attacking power and incredible design and knew I would need them when I went to Sinnoh, and so I did catch both.
