Has one song made you cry or feel upset for some reason?

For me it's 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' By Green Day as an uncle died in September.......

    as my memory rests
but never forgets what I lost
wake me up when September ends

    summer has come and passed
    the innocent can never last
wake me up when September ends

Hurt, by Christina Aguilera, for me.

    I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself by hurting you

Has extra special significance to me :3

There are a couple I have that depress me due to being able to relate in some way, but a song has never really made me cry yet.

    Hoobastank - The Reason
    I'm not a perfect person
    There's many things I wish I didn't do
    But I continue learning
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know

I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
    and the reason is you.

Seether (Ft. Amy Lee) - Broken
Because I'm broken when I'm open
And I don't feel like I am strong enough
    .

Meh, only two that have really hit home so far xP

    Katarina Hasprová - A Prayer

Love, I am walking the valley of tears
Only you can get me out of misery
I long to touch your hands, your lips
Please, come back, do not give up
You are left alone and i know, that they're close
But I know, the day of your return
Is close, I know it will come
I'm waiting for you, come, away with sadness
I want your love and passion
    I want your tenderness
I want everything you have got

You Are My Sunshine is quite a sad song, I think.

    The other night, dear
    While I lay sleeping
I dreamt I held you in my arms
    When I awoke, dear
    I was mistaken
So I hung my head and cried.

I well up every time I hear that.

    Other way around >.>
Jhonny Cash wrote that, they covered.
    EDIT:O wait, ur right.
    Hahaha.
    No.
Look, Cash did a good version of it; even Trent acknowledges this. But never lose sight of the fact that Trent wrote the song; it's *his* song first and *his* version/s (it's performed differently live, each tour) will always be the superior product :3

"Pieces" from Red is definitly the saddest song I've ever heard.
It's not only the Lyrics...it's the melody itself.

    Then I'll see your face
    I know I'm finally yours
I find everything I thought I lost before
    You call my name
I come to you in pieces
So you can make me whole

People are gonna think i'm jumping on the band wagon here
    but..
    Jeff Buckly hallelujah

Not because its made for it.. I dont cry if things are sorta written to be sad but when my aunt was dying of cancer i stayed by her bed in the hospice (Home for cancer patients on thier death ved) for 5 days and myslf and my family had the radio on and that song was played. The whole way through. Nobody turned it off because everybody knew each of us was reflecting on memories... So for 5-6 minutes there was pure silence and we all had our minds fixated on how much we were gonna miss her. At this stage she was just sleeping 24/7 or just had her eyes closed unable to reply...
But she was like a mother to me and that song just brings back all i reflected upon and all i miss about her. It was a sad moment but i've never had an experience that brought me so close to my family and so close to who i really am. It helpped me let her go in the end.
Sorry to have such a depressing post.
But yes hallelujah. It made me cry..
    Not much does

"Angel" by Sarah McLachlan has made me well up a few times, and Snow Patrol's version of "Run" also makes me kinda emotional. XD "Fa Ru Xue" and "Feng" by Jay Chou have also made me teary, even though I can't understand the words right away. XD

Any song can make me cry really, if I can apply it to an emotional situation I'm in. :3

You do know that song is a cover, right? The original is written by Trent Reznor; of Nine Inch Nails.

Trent wrote it. Johnny Cash perfected it.

Anyway, I've never cried because of a song. Adagio for Strings got me close, as did My Immortal, but yeah. No manly tears as of yet have been shed for music.

"Sleep" by Poets of the Fall.

Sleep, sugar, let your dreams flood in
Like waves of sweet fire, you're safe within
Sleep, sweetie, let your floods come rushing in
And carry you over to a new morning

It's not sad song, I just find it to be composed so beautifully and Marko, the singer, has such a gorgeous voice to be the vocals for it. It's just a very beautiful song. Really. You have to hear it to understand. It has made me tear up a little, but not because it was upsetting.

But to really answer this thread's question, no; no sad songs have made me cry.
