With the creation of the Real World's Astanoff-Berry Computer, an artificial lifeform known as Yggdrasil, the Master Computer, formed and with it, the foundations to a realm called the Digital World. The artificial entity evolved as the real world's computer age progressed, giving it the ability to gain knowledge and power with which it used to shape and form the Digital World and eventually the data which would be used for its first inhabitants. The rate at which the World formed was astounding. In an attempt to evolve it further, Yggdrasil subjected it to a time-shift. Days in the new world were mere minutes compared to that of the Real World and by the time the computer age reached what it has today, the Digital World had seemingly finished in its development.

The seventy years of real-time translated to hundreds of thousands of digital cycles. In that time, the Digital World changed in a manner akin to that of Earth. Its continents shifted, its islands and mountains were created and destroyed. Within an even shorter amount of time, Yggdrasil designed and created five realms based upon the cardinal directions of the world and its center. In hopes to give each realm strength and protection, the Sovereigns, a group of five digital lifeforms, were created. From there on, Yggdrasil, with help from the Sovereigns, created enough inhabitants to support the Digital World.

Yggdrasil's influence slowly grew minimal as it watched its new world. Before long, the data of the world began changing on its own and new lifeforms, now known as Digimon, formed without a creator. Yggdrasil knew its work was almost finished, so in its final effort to insure that the world would be successful, it created another race of lifeform whom he simply named the Guardians. These beings, human in appearance and seemingly all-knowing, would be the protectors of the world when it was in need.

In 2014, nearly seventy human years later, the Digital World parallels the Real World in many aspects and both are at the height of their prosperity. That is, of course, until something upset the balance. Within a matter of months in the Real World, the world of the Digital Monsters was turned upside down. The Digital World and the Digimon who resided in it quickly began to change, seemingly as if their data was rewritten. Digimon from the Dark Area began to change. Often considered evil by the other Digimon, they started to ally with those of the outer areas. For awhile, the Digital World lived in peace, but even it couldn't last forever. Months later (days in the Real World), things changed once again, and this time, for the worse. Well known Digimon such as the Royal Knights and even the Olympos XII began changing, doing things that were completely opposite of what was expected, just as the Evil Digimon had before them. The World was literally upside down.

The Guardians, the only beings seemingly untouched by what was happening, had no idea how to solve the problem. No matter how hard they scoured the Digital World, the source could not be found. It could have came from anywhere, even the Human World. It seemed that they had no power to stop the events that were happening, at least, not until they found one thing that the great Yggdrasil had left behind. A prophecy that would change the the fate of both Worlds.

Mechanics

You are a Digidestined, a human being chosen by fate to work with their own Digimon partner in order to save both worlds from the forces that attempt to destroy them. Using various supports, whether from each other or elsewhere, the Digidestined will be able to overcome any challenge they face.

Given as a symbol of the Digidestined, the Digivices are a set of devices used for various purposes. The D-Touch is this universe's iteration of the Digivice named for its touch interface. Generally placed around the left wrist of a Digidestined, the device resembles a sleek, futuristic watch with the functions of a present day cell phone as well as the capabilities needed for use in the Digital World.

First off, it is used as a storage area of sorts due to its ability to hold various items that you will use during your quest. It also acts as a way to heal your Digimon via the storage option. It also includes a map of the Digital World, an encyclopedia that is added to whenever a new Digimon is met, as well as a button solely used for Digivolution.

For the most part, Digivolution is much like that of the first two Digimon series' with some added mechanics from the third series. The basic Digivolution takes a Digimon up one level and Warp Digivolution typically skips a level or two. Any Digivolution past the Champion level requires an insignia in order to work.

An insignia is a physical embodiment of a DigiDestined and their most pronounced personality trait, i.e. kindness, courage, etc. It is ultimately a focal point for a DigiDestined to focus their powers, proving as a catalyst for the biggest of Digivolutions. They have various other powers that will be introduced later.

We do not do reservations as this is not a first come, first serve kind of thing. They will be judged based on each other's SUs. While being based on how well you write, it also depends on whether or not I think you will complement the other RPer's writing styles.

Appearance / 外貌

Julie stands at an average height of 5'7'' and is only slightly shorter than some of her female classmates. Her long brown-black hair sits just past her shoulders with the tips resting on her frontal deltoids. Weighing in at slightly under 59kgs, Julie is lean and muscular from her soccer training that she often partakes in as well as her cardio work on days off. When she is training, she will often tie her hair all the way back in a ponytail otherwise the majority of the time she will let it fall naturally down. As an avid cosplayer she will from time to time wear a wig instead of fully dying her hair. Her face has the typical Han-Chinese circular shape with only a slight angularity around her jaw from her Taiwanese heritage. Her dark brown eyes are also reminiscent of her Chinese heritage but like with her hair, as a cosplayer she has a tendency to wear coloured contacts. When she smiles, Julie has small dimples at either ends of her mouth and ever so slight grows feet at the edges of her eyes. She has one beauty mark on the top of her left side cheek.

When it comes to clothing, Julie isn't afraid to show a little skin; much to the demise of her parents. In summer this usually equates to halter tops and short, tartan skirts while in winter she is more likely to wear jeans and long sleeved shirts. Outside at least, inside she won't think twice about wearing a simple t-shirt and shorts around the house. However Julie's interest in Cosplay means that, on occasion, she will happily venture out into the world in very intricate and self-sewed costumes that she spends a lot of time making. She never wears the same Cosplay to a competition more than once, preferring to sew a new one from scratch. Because of this, she has many costumes hanging up in her closet, some of which she hasn't worn more than twice. Julie also has two small ear piercings; one in each earlobe. Generally not one for make-up, the only time she will wear it is when she is competing in a cosplay competition. Due to her inexperience in make-up, she relies on her close friend Jing to do it for her.

Personality / 人格

Julie likes to be very practical, although she hates structure and routine. She likes to "go with the flow", trusting in her ability to improvise in any situation presented to her. She learns best with "hands-on" experience, rather than by studying a book as she is uncomfortable with theory. From a young age her parents often pushed her to excel in academia but despite her ability to perform well, she didn't find it particularly interesting and thus refused to try her hardest and often found it difficult at school. When it came to sports however, she would not only push herself, but push others in her team to do better. That euphoria that came from surpassing a goal and pushing her body past the limits was the one thing that truly drove her to do great. The same went for her Cosplay passion, often staying up late nights and into the early hours of the morning to finish the costume she would be working on. She would enjoy not just making the outfits, but wearing them too. When attending competitions in Taiwan and in Mainland China, she loved the spotlight people often placed her in as they commented and marvelled at her amazing craftsmanship. On the other hand, she also enjoyed meeting new people from far and wide and seeing what amazing costumes they crafted as well.

However the Cosplay world isn't as glamorous as people see it to be. Aside from the beautiful costumes, amazing make up and excitement of winning, there is also a lot of drama which Julie relishes. It is not unknown that Julie's competitiveness and enthusiasm has often led to her manipulating others or creating drama. Julie's biggest rival, Bai Xiaoyun, is often the target of her drama as the girls are both top tier in Taiwan. It is also not unknown for Julie to place more importance on immediate sensation and gratification in the short term than her duties and obligations. Often this has led to Julie skipping work or forgetting plans with friends and family. Often she tries to avoid looking at long-term consequences of her actions, preferring to act in the 'here and now'. This is most apparent in her willingness to spread gossip about herself and others in an attempt to manipulate whatever she can. By casting herself in a bad light, she can make it seem like others, most often Xiaoyun, spread such rumours and turn the light on them. While she will happily back-stab someone to push herself further or to increase the quick thrill of drama, she does not take kindly to having been back-stabbed herself. When it comes to secrets, Julie will always offer herself to confide in, but will happily use it as ammunition to add fuel to drama or to give herself the upper hand. However she is more concealing of her own secrets, and will even go to the point of making up fake secrets.

Unlike her competitive and perseverant nature, Julie is very friendly. When not in a competitive setting, she is upbeat and enthusiastic to be around others and genuinely likes almost everybody. With close friends she is friendly and warm and will happily aid anyone she considers to be a close friend, but on the other side she has no qualms manipulating them and anyone else. Once crossed however she will likely make a very strong and stubborn judgement of them and often it can digress into deep dislike for them. If Julie is under a great deal of stress she becomes overwhelmed with negatives thoughts and possibilities. As an optimistic individual who lives in the world of possibilities, negative possibilities do not sit well with her. In an effort to combat these thoughts, she often comes up with simple, overarching statements to explain away the problem. These simplistic explanations may or may not truly get to the nature of the issue, but they serve her well by allowing her to get over it. She will push herself to such extremes until this is overcome.

History / 歷史

Ever since she was little, Julie has lived the rest of her life in Miaoli County. Her mother's parents originally lived in Sichuan but fled to Taiwan during the Communist Revolution while her father moved up from southern Taiwan to study in Taipei. While the two first met in university, it wasn't until both had graduated that they married and later had Julie. As an only child, Julie was often doted on by her parents and grandparents. There wasn't a moment that she spent alone until it came the time for her to start attending school. While at school, it didn't take time for Julie to quickly become popular around the other children as well as discovering the enjoyment of Soccer.

At the age of ten, Julie first learned to manipulate her parents and grandparents. At first it was only small things like a chocolate at the supermarket or a small keychain from a street vendor. Soon it escalated into new clothes, shoes even cellphones; anything within their parent's budget. It was around this age that she began part-taking in learning how to sew. Her grandmother used to be a popular seamstress back in the Sichuan province, so ever since she was little, Julie would sit and watch her grandmother sew beautiful cheongsam. As the years passed by and Julie's grandmother become less dexterous, Julie began taking a larger role and went from adding details to crating beautiful dresses for her mother to sell.

When she started High School, Julie continued to play soccer at an elevated level, but also continued to sew. When she was introduced to Anime by her friend Jing, she became slightly obsessed with sewing dresses and costumes that were exact replicas of the ones she saw more than she liked watching the anime. Often she would infuse elements of her Cosplay into her cheongsam designs. Julie kept up her average grades, but outside of sewing and soccer there was little time for other recreation. Two years later and after rapid health deterioration, Julie's grandfather died. Having been close with him, Julie was very upset and stopped playing soccer a while to mourn his passing. In the intervening time, Julie spent most of it sewing with her grandmother as the two consoled each other. Another couple of months and Julie returned to soccer training, putting her all into to make her grandfather proud. She felt a pang of sadness during her first game back as when she turned to the bleachers, there was no sight of her grandfather whom had been to every game she had played since she was young.

Once High School was over, Julie had no ambition to study in University. She joined a local soccer club and continued to sew cheongsam. On occasion she would head to compete in Cosplay competitions in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. Her authenticity, sewing techniques and beautiful costumes often won her high ranking spots; much to the despite of her High School friend Xiaoyun. It was these competitions that put the two girls head to head against each other which ultimate led to their falling out. Both accuse the other of starting the rivalry with sabotage, but neither could prove it. Julie benefited most from the broken relationship and used the information Xiaoyun had confided in her to quickly vault herself to the top in the Chinese Cosplay world.

After a year of sewing, cosplaying and soccer, Julie's best friend Jing managed to convince her to join the local university in Miaoli City with her. Julie switched up from the local soccer club to join Jing on the University's female team while studying part-time as a fashion designer. Despite studying and playing soccer, Julie didn't really have any plans for her future other than working and sewing from out of her family's shop. However she still continued to push herself in soccer training and games to become the soccer player her grandfather wished her to be.

Currently, after working and saving, Julie is on her way to New York with the rest of her University's female soccer team to compete in an international soccer tournament with a sister school in New York.

Gender: Male
Personality: Monodramon is very competitive and stubborn much like Julie, however he is not manipulative in fact, he is more susceptible to manipulation if not gullible. Less hot-headed than Julie, Monodramon is more likely to step back and assess that situation rather than run in guns blazing. If anything, Monodramon is Julie's moral compass and is not averse to telling Julie when she is being moral or immoral. Monodramon knows when things are out of reach and isn't worried about stopping while he is ahead or when things are too tough.

Description: Tabari would be described as punk, but don't let him hear you say that. His skin is a milk chocolate brown, hair black and brushed back with razored sides and his eyes a deep brown. His face is long, his eyebrows thick, untrimmed and dark and is semi-shaven, often too lazy to do a clean job. He is lean and carries a little bit of muscle on him (despite how much he says he goes to the gym). He stands at 6'1" (185cm) and weighs just over 80kg (180lbs).

His clothes are mainly skinny jeans and t-shirts, sometimes coupled with ripped denim jackets or leather ones. His shoes are a form of sneaker (either Chuck Taylor's or Vans) and he rarely wears socks because who even cares. Beanies are essential to his image during the Winter and singlets in the summer. His ears have 10mm plugs in them and his left eyebrow is pierced. He wears a black, tied shoelace around his neck with a silver bead linked on it.

Personality: His personality matches how he dresses: punk. He's stubborn, reckless, obnoxious, arrogant, likes to blow stuff up and rage against the machine. He's used to getting his own way and believes that his presence is far more important than anyone else's. He (or his parents at least) have a lot of money and Tabari isn't one to flash it around and let everyone know he's rich, but he's not past bribery or if that doesn't work, threatening. The only person he's not reckless, stupid or arrogant around is his sister; looking after her while his parents were working has given him a protective older brother attitude to her and anyone that reminds Tabari of her.

He likes to keep his friends happy, though he is known to intentionally guilt trip, goad or peer pressure them into joining him or doing what he wants. He doesn't bribe his friends (he doesn't see the point), instead pays for them when it comes to what they do, whether than be destroying old cars or pigging out for lunch. He gets into fights with other kids every now and again, but doesn't hold them personally - the fight seems like a good bit of fun. He's confident in himself and his body and is willing to try anything new, provided it isn't boring or mundane. Chilli flavoured jelly shots? Why not!

Though he does a lot of stupid stuff, Tabari never would intentionally hurt an innocent person with his or his friend's acts of destruction or vandalism. In fact, he would argue against anything that involved getting a random person (or animal) physically hurt or too much affected in anyway. Destroying rickety sheds with nothing in them would be one thing, but to break a kid's tree house would be another. He's morally balanced, and he will tell you that while he's graffiting the side of a train.

He plays guitar or bass (whichever he feels like) in a crappy garage band, enjoys skateboarding and watching really bad B-grade movies.

History: Tabari was born in Australia to a wealthy family. His father was a police officer and his mother a business woman who often travelled from country to country selling things that Tabari had no particular interest in. He and his sister (Aisha, younger by 6 years) either stayed at home with their father or went with her for the holiday, depending how they felt at the time. Money was never an issue for the rest of the family, and Tabari's only with it was how quickly he could spend it.

His school life, despite being in some prestigious school that his parents had enrolled him in, Tabari was a troublemaker and participated in the bare minimum. His grades were enough to let him pass on to the next year and his friends were just as bad as he was. When it came to high school, Tabari insisted on attending a public school, calling private schools a waste of money and space. Though his father and mother were hesitant, Tabari threatened to burn it down if he was made to go back to that school.

He was among his own people and made his closest friends; the rebels, the bogans and the troublemakers. His new friends never found out how rich Tabari was, which suited him fine. He would waste money on illegally purchased alcohol, making sparkler bombs or bonfires and most often than not, paying off the police or getting thrown into juvy for a night before his dad fished him out. Tabari has been pulled over more times than he can count for speeding, but hands over cash instead of his license. Money doesn't always work, and Tabari has a bad habit of waiting for his dad to retrieve him and becoming frustrated when he takes too long. His mother has approached Tabari a number of times to try and teach him how to be a business-man like himself, but he avidly avoids all conversations around business, getting a job or any responsibility or opportunity whatsoever. His father tried once to straighten him out, which failed miserably. He has plenty of time (and money) to waste until he has to start thinking about the rest of his life and Tabari is going to make the most of it.

At the moment, he's currently with his family in Manhattan on a 'holiday' as his mother works out business deals, his father with time off and along for the ride. The hotel won't hold his attention for long though and Tabari will soon find himself outside, getting lost and making trouble.

Female

Personality: Lopmon is often disappointed in Tabari's behaviour, scolding him when he does morally bad things (to which he ignores her). She is kind, gentle and loyal to anyone who she considers a friend. The only trait she seems to share with Tabari is she is as stubborn as he is, insisting on helping others while he insists the exact opposite.

Lopmon dislikes digivolving for the sake of it, prefering on relying on her words before she runs into battle. Her later forms, such as Cherubimon or Antylamon, though can seem scary at times, would never be used as a form of fear. She fights to protect and defend only.

Tabari is never directly rude to Lopmon; she reminds him of his sister too much.

Unique Traits: Lopmon's ears are longer than a regular Lopmon, constantly getting in her face.

Project Stargate Facility, Norlisk, Russia - PART TWO

November 12th, 2012

My next almost fifteen years were spent either running or hiding or a little of both. We were constantly moving between her homeland and my own, staying with relatives or booking under false names. We were so paranoid that our past was catching up on us and despite Emilia's attempts to help those who were like us, I was reluctant. Jonathan had taken refuge with a group known as the Royal Family, and I declined all offers of support. Who could we really trust?

Jonathan was the only one we kept consistent contact with, other than Emilia's family, but over the years our talks became less and less frequent. In our last one, Jonathan spoke of plans that would 'change the world' so to speak, and invited me to join him in his endeavors. I did trust Cooper, but time had warped his sense of judgement. I declined, and he never spoke to me again.

My last few years with Emilia were that of happiness. We finally decided to settle with her parents for a little while, raising our children, our two girls with a normal life in mind. We managed to do so in peace for a while, but Emilia was not satisfied with it. She wanted to give all who had been victims alongside us to live peacefully as well. A request which I could not fufill for her.

We set off for the next location with a new home in mind and we left our eldest girl behind with Emilia's mother, taking our youngest. Despite how much I wanted to leave her behind in safety, Emilia insisted we would be alright. We lived in Western Europe for less than a month, Emilia working to help those less fortunate while I did work here and there to blend in.

We had received a distress call of sorts from one of our old comrades, to which he needed help leaving the United States. I refused, like I had done in the past countless times, but Emilia trusted this man and wanted him to have the same peace we had lived with the past few years. She went to go on her own, but I went with her in the end, leaving our youngest with someone at the hospital Emilia had grown to trust.

I regret letting Emilia go everyday for what happened. We found the man, but it turned out that he was indeed within grasp of the enemy. They ambushed us and when it came to a fight, the one we were meant to be helping turned on us to save his own life. In this panicked state, my ability seem to fail me, and the future in front of me was blurred and hasty. We...we escaped into a house, but one of those who were chasing us blew it up from beneath us. Emilia was trapped beneath the debris.

I watched my wife die in front of my eyes.

She asked me to leave so that no one else would be hurt, but after watching the light leave her eyes, I waited for our attackers and killed them all. After that, I faked my death and vowed to never rest until we were all free from these monsters. By whatever means necessary.

"This is the place?" A voice came from his right. Charles nodded, the crisp air biting at his skin. He had not been here for thirty years. In fact, he had purposely avoided this place for a good lot of his life. But now, he had returned with nothing in his mind but revenge. "It's... smaller than I imagined." Charles shot Alesina a look and she shook her head. "I meant no offence." Her Italian accent was well hidden behind her English.

"So much death." Nyatichi shook thon head, closing thons eyes. Thon only knew so much English, and saved thons words when they really counted. Lev scoffed.

"And there's about to be a whole lot more." Lev sneered, his eyes focused on a guard scouting the outside of the facility, his loud chewing growing more and more annoying. He spat a ball of tobacco onto the ground. Not only his Texan accent, but his Texan attitude was heavy and obnoxious. "Bunch of commie bastards. Prancing around in their skirts like they own the place."

"How many would you say are here?" Alesina peered through the falling snow, trying to count the guards on the outside. "One hundred?"

"Eileen has already confirmed one hundred and eighty-three on duty at the moment. That's including supervisors and non-trained... scientists. If you could call them that. She's already down there scouting."

"Unfair. Why does she get a head start?" Lev spun his dual-blade axes around, transforming them from one weapon to the next. Axes, to swords, to guns, then back to axes. "Don't send the women in to do the man's job."

"Watch your mouth." Alesina spat at Lev. He grinned back.

"Or what, you're going to nag me to death?"

"Or I'll cut your lips off and feed them to Branko." Branko made a noise at his own name, chuckling at the joke he half understood. He said something in Croatian and stood up.

"Cut head off!" Branko wielded his own dual blades, brandishing them at Lev. Lev gripped his own, licking his lips.

"How about another wager, eh? I'll up the ante, make it $10,000 this time. $5 grand seemed too weak last time. You were barely at 50 heads by the time I had cut off 80. I've seen Eileen cut more than that quicker and she's a girl." Lev grinned, watching Alesina's rage grow from the corner of his eye. "How about it, bucko?"

"Deal!"

"I don't care how you kill them." Charles grunted. "Just leave him for me." A flare popped from the otherside of the facility. "There's the signal. Let's go."

"Nyatichi, fly me in. I'll cover the entrance. Eileen will meet us at the gate. The rest of you, do whatever the hell you want. This is your game, Taylor."

Nyatichi nodded, thon body already forming into that of a large eagle. Thon gripped Alesina by the shoulders, lifting her into the air. Charles, Lev and Branko ran after them, Nyatichi dropping Alesina at the front gates. As she hit the ground, a burst of gasses erupted from around her, Eileen (with gas mask on) running to her with key card, removed eyeball and a severed hand in tow. She skittered at the number pad, swiping the card, pressing the thumb up to the pad, the eye to the scanner and pressed in a combination of numbers. A green light confirmed their entrance and the enormous gates jittered open. Alesina thrusted her hands forward, pushing the gasses through the gate to any close-by guard to be immediately knocked out.

Charles, Lev and Branko had caught up by now, gas masks on and weapons wielded. Lev was the first to 'break the ice', throwing one of his axes at a oncoming guard. It pierced the forehead and shattered the skull, blood splattering everywhere. He gave a maniacal laugh, morphing his other axe into a hand gun and shooting at approaching guards as he retrieved his axe.

"There's nothing I like better in the evening than a f*cking hot bowl of communist brains." He shouted, smearing the blood splatter on his face and ran at the panicked guards who had turned tail and ran.

They found themselves running into the chest of Branko, who, with his wielded swords, cut three heads off at once. With their deaths empowering him instantly, he shouted in rage, smashing the last twos' heads together. Their skulls collided, blood splattering upwards and outwards.

"Four!" Lev shouted at Branko, pointing his gun at an incoming guard. "Five!"

"Seven!" Branko roared, punching his fist through another guard's head, and using his other hand and sword to slice off another head.

Meanwhile, from above, Nyatichi had landed on top of the facility, hiding thonself behind an air-conditioning unit. Thon fired a round into the sky, attracting the attention of three nearby guards. Nyatichi ran in, skidding underneath one of the guard's feet and appearing behind him to jab him in the neck with one hand and pull in another guard with the other. With a few more twists and jabs, thon was surrounded by three guards, all unconscious and reluctant to wake up for the next few hours.

"Clear." Thon said into the radio on her wrist, continuing on down roof stairs.

"Roger that, Nyatichi. Taylor, Lev, Branko, push forward into the facility! Eileen, once they are through break the security system. We need those electric doors disengaged if we want to get past the main foyer." Charles nodded, dodging the bullets and attacks as if they were choreographed and he had practised this dance a thousand time. Lev and Branko however, continued to mow down the guards until there were none standing to oppose them. Eileen disappeared, cursing under her breath.

"A task like that is so easily done, this will not prove satisfactory." She sighed, slipping past the main doors to find the control room. The security of the entire facility made her laugh. She was able to break through their digital guards without even blinking and now their physical force was being beaten by 5 (albeit heavily trained) assassins. Hilarious.

The rest of the outside guards had fallen back inside, the bland cement walls now painted red with their blood, Lev and Branko using their weapons as the paintbrushes.Now inside, Charles ignored the attention of the guards, making his way through the facility to its deepest core. He only stopped to take out the annoying guard here and there or wait for Eileen to open the next door, having already found the security room and taken control.

Alesina however, made her way lower, into the experimental wards. Once the guards dead and 'scientists' knocked out, she found dozens of prison cells with Atlanteans hooked up to machines. Though she didn't know the specifics of what machine did what, it wasn't hard to figure out; a scientist in an opposite, oblivious to Alesina, turned a dial on one of the machines, sending volts of electricity into a woman's body. Alesina felt a hot rage building up within her, horrified with the treatment of these innocent people.

"Eileen! Open the prison cells!" She hissed into her radio, the doors opening instantly on command.

"Per our agreement, after I open these doors, amalgamate my company with Lev and Branko, my compensation shall be the 10,000 dollars." Alesina would have objected if she hadn't smashed through the glass, wielding a shard of glass as a weapon and slicing through the man's neck like paper. She then put a foot through the equipment, the Atlantean's body relaxing as the electricity finally left her. Alesina was going to kill every one of these bastards and no machine was going to stop her. She placed a finger on her pulse, the woman still alive thankfully, and pulled the radio in her wrist up to her mouth.

"Taylor! Status!"

"About to destroy this mother f*cker." Charles slammed the door behind him, finally in the office of the man he had sought death upon for all these years. "I'm going to make you wish that you had never been born, you disgusting worm." The man stood up from his chair, wiping his hands on a towel on his desk. He was tall, his hair dark and his eyes cold and grey. He smiled as if he had won, but Charles knew much better than that. "Kozyrev."

"Mr. Taylor!" Kozyrev's accent was thick and obviously Russian. "How have you been? How is your wife? Well, I assume?"

"Smug son of a b*tch." Charles spat at Kozyrev's feet. "You better pick some better last words before I cut your head off."

"Don't be so hasty, Mr. Taylor. Tell me, when was the last time you had a fist fight where you didn't know the ending?" Suddenly, the future around Charles had disappeared and his head was clear for the first time since he had come to this wretched place. He searched the room, his eyes closing on an open box on Kozyrev's desk. Inside it was a red stone, the size of a baseball, which felt like it was pulsing with energy. "Anti-Atlantite. This should make this a fair fight."

The door behind Charles swung open, two larger guards stepping in the doorway. They were both taller than him, one armed with a set of daggers and the other with brass knuckles. Charles laughed, wielding his own weapon - a dagger.

"I don't need to know the future to know you're going to die soon, Kozyrev." The guards were the first to react, the one with the knives charging forward with them brandished. He swung once, twice, both to which Charles dodged on a hair's breadth. The other guard threw a punch, landing hard on Charles' side, feeling his ribs crack under the force. He heaved, but with his right hand, sliced upwards as hard as he could, cutting the guard's arm and smashing his chin with his fist. The guard blacked out for a moment, stepping back and letting the dagger-wielding one forward. Charles dodged the first swing and cut at his left hand, the guard wailing and loosening his grip. A kick in the chin and then the wrist made the guard let go of one of his daggers, but with his other hand he managed to slice at Charles' chest. The cut wasn't deep enough to his bone or muscle, but blood began to dye his vest red.

He mustered up his strength, dodging blows as the guard with the bronze knuckles swung at him. The first, second, and third punch all missed their intended target, but Charles felt the third collide with his chin. The guard sneered, hoping he had taken Charles off his guard but instead the blow had left the guard open, ducking under the next fist and thrusting one of his daggers into the guard's chest as hard as he could. When he still felt life underneath his skin, he stabbed with his other hand. The guard fell back and Charles fell with him, abandoning the daggers and rolling out of the way as they hit the ground together, the dagger-wielding guard stabbing the now-dead guard instead of Charles. With his foot, he swept the guard down to the ground, knocking the other dagger from his hand, yanking it off the ground and stabbing him directly in the heart. The guard was dead in an instant.

"Well done." Kozyrev clapped. "You've done well for a washed up soldier. With a dead wife."

"You shut your mouth. You shut your f*cking mouth." Charles panted, his own and the guards' blood splattered over his face. "It's your turn to die."

"Not today, Mr. Taylor." Kozyrev pulled a gun from his jacket, pointing it directly at Charles' head. "I think I've let enough of your kind live for long enough. After I'm done with this place, I'll destroy it. Then, I'll hunt down every single one of your kind until the world returns to the way it was. Even my own kin. Nobody should be able to toy with the elements, or control time. Nobody but God. Your kind is an abomination and I won't rest until you're all wiped from this planet."

"You're an abomination." Charles spat at him. "Destroying an entire race? Who's playing God now, you sick, twisted f*ck." Kozyrev smiled at him, cocking the gun.

"I really don't care what you think. You're about to be dead anyway." Suddenly, the window behind him shattered and through it, an enormous eagle screeched loudly, its talons sharp and aimed directly at Kozyrev. In surprise, he pulled the trigger, missing Charles' head but the bullet lodging into his shoulder. He yelled in pain, falling to his knees as the giant avian collided with Kozyrev and forced him to the ground.

"NO! HE'S MINE! LEAVE HIM!" Charles shouted at Nyatichi. Thon stopped screaming, blinking at Charles then stepping off of him. Thon had started reverting back to thons human form and with a nod, disappeared out the door. Charles panted, stepping off the floor and picked up the gun that Kozyrev had dropped. He stepped over the broken glass, and stood above Kozyrev, checking the bullets he had in the mag. Seven. "I've waited a long time for this."

"Once you kill me, then what, Mr. Taylor? What will you do? Try to find peace? Your kind killed all of that the day that that Royal Family b*tch River Beleren put that crystal into the air. Its barely been a month and look how much of the world you have destroyed. Your family is probably dead and in ruins somewhere, along with dear Emilia." Charles shot a bullet into Kozyrev's kneecaps each, causing him to scream out in pain and groan in angony. His breathing had grown louder and he laughed. "Have you even been to Paris yet? London? The world is doomed. Why can't you see that?"

"You've been destroying lives for thirty years, Kozyrev. What makes you any different?" Charles let off another round into his elbow and one into his hip, Kozyrev letting out another yelp.

"I'm working for the greater good. Who are you and your little gang of merry men working for? You only seek to satisfy yourselves." He wheezed, coughing and tasting the blood in his mouth. Charles shot him another two times in his shoulders then pointed the gun at his forehead. Kozyrev grinned. "Give it six months, Mr. Taylor. You'll be eating your words and you'll have wished you have listened to me."

"SHUT THE F*CK UP."

"I'll see you soon." Was the last words Kozyrev uttered before the last round was shot, directly into his forehead. Charles took a moment to look at the damage that had been done, screwing up his face and punching Kozyrev's dead face until the pain would go away. But it didn't. Emilia was still gone and all of their pain and suffering had come from this man. Who had felt no remorse or guilt, even until the end.

"You let it get personal." Alesina's voice came from the door. Charles got to his feet, kicking the man's head one more time before wiping the blood from his face. "That's not what the League is about, Taylor."

"Shut up." He said, closing the box on Kozyrev's desk, pocketing it and passing by Alesina without even looking at her disappointed face. "Let's get out of here." Alesina narrowed her eyes and followed him down until they were back into the main foyer. The guards, every single one of them were all dead and in the middle of the scene was Lev, Eileen and Branko, piling up bodies into piles behind them.

"Forty-two." Lev had finished counting his own pile. Branko chucked at him.

"Fifty-one!" He laughed, holding his hand out for money. Eileen shook her head, gesturing to her own.

"I have counted fifty-nine, I believe that makes me the victor this round."

"Pay later, we take the prisoners and we go. This place is disgusting." Alesina scowled at them, like a mother scowling at children.

"Leave them. They can find their own way home." Charles spat, walking past her and making his way for the door.

"How can you say that, Taylor? These people were exactly like you! Don't you want to help them?"

"No."

"Why not?!"

"Because I don't CARE anymore." He shouted, looking angrily at the rest of the League. The foyer was silent for a few moments before he continued out the door and back out into the cold. Lev shrugged, shaking his head.

"Whatever, I'm out. See you f*ggots later." He gave a wave, abandoned his pile and followed Charles out. Branko followed, not saying a word. Eileen huffed, kicking over a body as she too, left.

"I'll just retrieve it from your bank accounts later, then."

Alesina sighed, turning to the only one who had remained. "C'mon, Nyatichi, let's do what we came here for."

Grace is a very small 18 year-old girl, weighing about 120 lbs. For her age, she's pretty small being 5 feet tall and her lean build makes her look like a child. She has deep green eyes with chocolate brown hair that reaches halfway to her back. Grace's nose is small but firm, and her square jaw makes her face look tougher. She has some pretty high cheekbones with a full upper lip and a bottom small lip. Her hands are pretty small but her eyes has some bags under them from restless nights.

As for her casual wear, she has on either a green or light blue shirt on with ripped jeans. Her nails are painted a soft green and she wears an orange pendant on her neck, and prefers to wear jade earrings. She likes having her hair lose but on some days she will have it tied in a neat bun. She wears a small backpack that's colored black with a hint of green and she has a jade ring that reminds her of her home, given that it was a gift from her father.

Grace is a pretty short tempered person and does not tolerate the naive at all. She's mostly not open to anyone; animals nor human. She's very logical and is a type of person to see the situation before acting out to it; she believes in ordinary acts of bravery secretly. She trusts no one and becoming her friend since she's naturally suspicious of people. Leave it to Grace to know weather or not you're deadly or just a show. Despite all this, Grace feels pretty lonely now, mainly because due to her antisocial behavior and that she holds too many grudges; she's not the forgiving type after all.

She's not the world's greatest liars, which makes her flawed to honesty. She does not like being lied to, herself lying to other people, or someone keeping something from her. Her candor nature mostly gets in the way of her logic sense, therefore causing irrational actions from her just to find out the truth. But luckily, if you were to throw Grace in a foreign place, she would calmly analyze the situation and push her greed to find the truth until the time is right. Sometimes when she tries to find the verity, she does not consider what others may feel about it or that saying it can cause destruction to others.

Sure Grace does have these issues, but she is someone that will keep the promises she makes to others, and she'll always be frank with you. She's pretty noble to her beliefs and the people around her that has the same point of view to her. Also, Grace now constantly tries to improve her attitude for the better of situations, although she constantly struggles with patience and kindness. Luckily, she isn't a pessimistic person and actually loves the occasional walk outdoors to enjoy the fresh air. And when she can, she uses her free time to volunteer at the local orphanage. She may not like people much, but she can't find it in her heart to just be cruel to those kids without parents and a place to call home. Sure sometimes she gets annoyed when they beg her to show them a bit of her acting skills, but she is secretly pleased at their smiles and laughter. Her greatest wish is for this world to become pure, mainly so no one can deceive one another and every little kid can have that place of freedom.

History:

Ever since a little girl, Grace had lived a wonderful life in the city of Houston, Texas. There was nothing special about Grace, and she lived the ordinary life of a childhood, unless you count she didn't have her father by her side. Her mother always refused to tell her about her father, but Grace always questioned it too much. After years of tolerating her, Grace's mother fed up with Grace of reminding her past and told her to live with her uncle in North Carolina. Grace wasn't on board with this, and given that she was just 13, she refused this. By force her mother made her board the plane to Statesville. She was torn by the fact her mother did this, but rage took over her instead and she held a grudge to her.

So for the next seven years, Grace spent her time taking out her rage in the arts of theater, although playing parts that weren't herself despise her. She did like that she could be open to new experiences and for a while, escape her lonely and gruesome world. She didn't dare bond close to anyone, but the kids at her school already cast her off as a pariah, so she was just fine with that. Although she appreciated what her relatives were doing for her, she never felt like it was a home to her. She couldn't go back to her city either, even though she wanted to find out about her dad. She had questioned her uncle about it, but he only told her there are reasons why they never speak of such things. Grace didn't push it further until she was 18, but then her uncle gave her a plane ticket to New York City, telling her if she wanted answers, she should go there.

Before leaving, she made sure to send her collage application and she was officially enrolled in Columbia University, and left her uncle behind. The first month was pretty horrible, given that she had no place to stay and couldn't find a decent part time job to work. Eventually in the university, she found a girl willing to have Grace as her roommate, and she tried her best to not be a load of responsibility. She managed to find a stable part time job as a waitress by the local cafe near the apartments where she lived now. Having that taken care of, she began to search for the answers her uncle told her about, mainly because she wanted to know of the truth.

Palmon is pretty quiet for herself and does not speak her opinion on anything unless the situation at hands forces her to speak or she finds that her opinions may be valued. She does not have much concern for herself and she will even sacrifice herself so others can live or escape. She doesn't demand much from anyone, but she despise when others lie to her or keep something from her. Palmon's greatest desire is that no one manipulates each other and can live in harmony.

The following is from [S-HIGHLIGHT]The Honorless[/S-HIGHLIGHT]. You can find the thread for this at my signature.

After three days of slow recover, I could finally walk and continue moving our little group to Lilycove. Sure many raiders, maybe even some gamblers, and the walkers, will roam around that big city, but I can't afford the wait. This knee brace should help me out in walking. But if I come across a huge wave of zombies, I'm not sure I'll make it out alive. As much as I hate it, I have to keep things steady. Luckily, we were near the safari zone, so that means we were getting closer. I check my pokemon on my sides; Torchic is looking fierce, ready for anything, Turtwig is just skipping, and the Mudkip is observing everyone, like me.

"Okay guys," I begin to whisper. "Once we get to Lilycove, we have to be more attentive. There are dangerous people and walkers, so it's best to steer clear of them for now. We find the department store and try to gather some supplies, most importantly, food. Any objections?"

All of them nodded, and I guess they're very aware of the dangers ahead. As we walked, I stepped on something hard. I winced and I held my left foot up and pulled out whatever found its way in my foot. It was a big, sharp piece of glass. I hate these shoes; hopefully I can find some more. I stare at the glass and I see a harsh, stern girl. She is very attractive with her ice blue eyes and her red hair falls right. The scar on her check adds to her attraction, but she looks more like her father than her mother. I hurl the mirror away and I grunt. Beauty made me a bigger prey in 'Zombie Land', especially when they decided to... I gulp and continue to walk, well limp actually. We kept on walking until we came across the fences. They are broken, but they still stand. Still, everyone could jump over it. I lead the way, and soon the others follow. We did this for quite some time until I saw a bloody and dirty sign that said:

Welcome to Lilycove City

"It depends how you say welcome," I mumbled.

But even from here, you could see the tall department store. I was about to move forward, but Turtwig stopped me. He drew out a vine and pointed ahead. I drew out my binoculars and looked over. There were at least five walkers roaming around, also blocking my way to the entrance. I look at the department store, and I gasp. I see the entrance barricaded, the windows pure black, and everything is blocked. But that certainly means one thing:

"Lilycove is a refuge center."

The pokemon gasped and they stared at each other in awe. I need to find a way in. I continue to observe the binoculars and try to find a weak spot. I see that the roof is a liable option, but the people inside will think I'm going raid them, which might be the purpose. The front doors are something I won't risk. But what if I go behind it? Sure there are lots of trees, so walkers can't follow me, but can I compromise the fortress? I look at my pokemon and the risk is something I have to make; I can't risk them since this is not their fault.

"We have to enter from behind the building. The trees will surely serve us good."

They nod. I tightened my grip on the club and I march forward. I try walking fast, but you can only limp so fast without making some noise. So far, we walked a few meters undetected, but as I head towards the store, two zombies follow my way. I continue walking like I don't know they are there, but then I swerve to the trees and they follow. Then I bash them with my club. It takes a few hits, but both are down. Before they can get up, I draw out a sword I found and slash both of their heads. I take out a spare towel from my pocket and wipe it clean. Then I leave it there on the ground.

"It's best if both you Torchic and Mudkip to come back in. I don't want those people to see you yet."

They nod as I return them into their pokeballs. My Turtwig knows exactly what to do.

"Try the fourth window, it might give us an edge."

He nods and takes the sword from my hand, and lifts them up until it reaches the fourth window. He slashes it open and it's good enough. I take my backpack and take out a long piece of rope. I give it to Turtwig, and he uses his vines to climb up. He does it a bit clumsily, but once he makes it, he ties the rope up there and lets it fall. Here's the tricky part, trying to get up and all, especially with my right leg out of condition. I scale up as fast as I can before anything else can stop me. I ignore the burning and I climb up fast until I reach for the fourth window. I pull up the rope and I can feel my body shake and my breaths getting heavy. I lean against the wall and sink, grabbing my leg. I really don't know why it hurts so much, maybe I didn't give myself enough time to recover. I shake my head and stare at Turtwig.

"Okay. Now to block this thing up, right?"

He looks at me with concern. I ignore him and look at an empty shelf. Together, we push it until it blocks the window. Before I can say anything, I hear a voice.

"Who are you?"

I flinch at the voice and I turn around. I see a small boy, and he's way younger than me. He holds a doll in his hands, a Pichu doll, and looks astonished.

"Where are the others?"

"Is that a pokemon?"

"Buddy, go to the boy."

Turtwig walks over to the boy and nudges him slightly.

"Upstairs."

He goes up, and I follow him. There, I see something that I haven't seen in a long time; rugs. They hang around, probably to separate spots. I see about 4 more people, and all of them are older than me.

"Um, hello. I was wondering if I could hang around here until I'm in good shape to be on my own?"

The shaking starts and I have to lean on the walls. I feel the pain and the burning from my leg. It's probably swelled up.

"Name's Raven in case if you're wondering."

Rachel stands at a height of roughly 5'4". She has a somewhat slender build, almost resting on the verge of under developed. Her skin tone is somewhat pale, and while it is not of the sickly variety, it definitely would not hurt for the girl to get some more sun. Her long, straight hair reaches down to the base of her neck and shoulders. While Rachel's natural hair color is a light, almost bleach blonde, the girl usually keeps dyed a bright, bubblegum-pink color. Rachel has pale, lime-green eyes.

In terms of clothing, Rachel dresses in a rather simple style. She tends to wear all her clothes on the baggy side, being more comfortable in jeans as opposed to skirts and shorts. She generally wears t-shirts over her body, which is always offset by a worn, but cared for purple, hooded jacket that she's had ever since she was younger. Rachel always carries a red purse at all times, which she uses to carry various objects such as a pen and paper at all times. A pair of black, Chuck Taylor brand sneakers always adorns her feet. Rachel is never seen without her orange MP3 player and headphones.

Personality

Quiet and often keeping to herself on most things, Rachel initially comes off as an unfriendly sort. She tends to never go out of her way to voice her opinions on things or interact with others around her and more often than not she has a hard time looking others in the eyes. However, this is not actually because she is a cold and uncaring person. Rather, Rachel is just extremely shy and hesitant to go all out and make new friends and the like. Most of this is due to the fact that she lacks the social skills one might develop as a young child. Regardless of the reason however, Rachel is just a lonely girl who would love the thought of actually having a friend.

This isn't to say that Rachel is all sadness and misery, however. The girl has dreams for the future and has developed quite a hobby whenever she takes to writing in her notepad. In fact, one could say that writing is the time when Rachel is happiest, as if she is able to express herself in a much more easy manner when doing so. At times, the girl will lose herself in her hobby, simply turning on her music and spending hours at a time creating small stories and the like. Because she enjoys it so much, Rachel hopes that one day she will be able to become a great author, creating a fantastic world of fantasy for everyone around the world to lose themselves in.

Always a dreamer, Rachel can sometimes drift off into thought without meaning to. She has a very vivid imagination and at times she can let it get a bit out of her own control. When scared or nervous, Rachel will sometimes use her daydreams as a method of escape from real world situations which she may not feel like dealing with at the time.

History

Born in New York City, Rachel is the only child of Michael and Susan Winters. Her family, while not having a great deal of money, were not exactly hard for money either. Michael works as a history teacher in a nearby high school, while Rachel's mother made a living working as a bank teller. For as long as they could remember, the two had always wanted a child to make their family whole. However for the longest time, the duo had always had trouble conceiving a child. It was later learned that Susan had medical issues when it came to trying to carry a child, but the two still kept trying until the day finally arrived when they managed to succeed and Rachel was eventually born.

Unfortunately, Rachel was always a sickly child when she was growing up. Because of this, she was often forced to stay inside and missed a lot of school when younger. She never really got to interact with many of the kids her own age (often being forced to stay cooped up in her room), which in turn caused her to have a slight hindrance when it came to actual social skills. When she was in school, Rachel often ended up keeping to herself. Her teachers were well aware of this, and they tried (along with her parents) to help her out with this issue. However no matter what they tried, Rachel simply could not seem to over come her shyness.

Rachel eventually would develop her love for writing during one of her sick spells. The girl was bored and more than a bit restless, so out of sheer coincidence, she took a pen and paper and began to write about a book she had read previously. Before she knew it, the words literally just seemed to flow on the paper, the girl finding herself growing happy with how she managed to express herself much better with the writing than anything else. Her parents seemed to notice this as well, especially when Rachel began to carry a notepad and pen with her where ever she went. Like all good and meddling mothers, Susan would occasionally sneak a peek at the sort of things Rachel would write down. She quickly noticed that her daughter seemed to have a real talent, and after much prodding and suggesting, she managed to get Rachel to enter one of her works into the school's creative writing contest.

Rachel placed fourth in the contest, and while most would think this would upset her, it actually only increased her passion for writing. The girl began to write even more than before, constantly trying to improve. Rachel is now in her senior year in high school and is currently trying to come up with an amazing story that everyone around the world will come to love.

Salmon is almost the exact opposite of her partner. She is brave and fiercely loyal, always ready to help protect those who mean the most to her. Friendly and outgoing, Salmon loves meeting new people and Digimon and has no issue in sharing her opinions or what she may be thinking. Like Rachel, Salmon is a dreamer. The little dog Digimon has quite the active imagination, and tends to let her mind wander when questioning and exploring how things work.

Ruby Cosgrove - Pewter City - Her First Gym Battle

Ruby lost track of how much time she had spent waiting for her turn to come to finally face Brock. As stated before, Ruby was not a professional Pokémon trainer. However, Ruby did have an ingrained image in her head about what to expect of Gym Leaders. She imagined that they would be strong and serious. She figured that they would have that certain air about them that would intimidate anyone who happened to come across them, one that would demand a certain amount of respect and awe. Brock... was not any of this.

Maybe it was because he was mostly her age. Perhaps it had a bit to deal with the fact that he wore a genuine smile on his face.

"Well, you're the lovely lady that's been waiting for your turn to battle me," the gym leader said, his eyes looking up and down at Ruby as if he was inspecting her like she was some sort of doll. A small nod of satisfaction followed this as he placed his hand on his chin. "Yes, yes. I can see why he was so distracted. Perhaps we should postpone this match and catch an early lunch, just the two of us?"

Then again, perhaps the main reason was because the man was flirting with her rather than looking prepared to take on a challenger to his gym. Sadly for him, Ruby did not feel exactly swooned from Brock's behavior. In fact, she found it greatly embarrassing rather than anything else. Fang on the other hand, looked a tad bit annoyed at Brock. The Houndoor sending a rather nasty glare in the gym leader's direction as he growled. Despite it all, Ruby knew that she had business to attend to and there was no point in putting it off anymore than she needed to. Ruby calmly cleared her throat, making an attempt to try and gain the gym leader's attention properly.

"As nice as that sounds, I'm afraid I had a rather filling breakfast and I'm not exactly in the mood for a meal at the moment," Ruby eventually responded. She gently reached down and began to pat Fang on his head, quickly quieting the Houndoom. "In fact, I think the other visitors to your gym might be more than a bit disappointed if they found you stepped out to run about town with little ol' me. Besides, I was honestly looking forward to a battle myself... that is, unless you're too busy at the moment?"

Ruby made a small, pouty-motion with her lips, which caused a faint blush to quickly work its way towards Brock's cheeks. The gym leader seemed hesitant for a moment, almost as if he was at a loss for words at just how to respond to Ruby's comment. Sooner or later, Brock regained his composure with a quick nod and a sigh.

"I guess you're right. Sometimes being a gym leader is so hard, but responsibilities always should come before desires I suppose," he said. He glanced over at Ruby, taking note of the Houndoom by her side and then the Pokéball worn on a ribbon tied around her upper left arm. "Tell me, is this your first gym battle?"

Ruby nodded. "That's right. I just came to the Kanto region not long ago, and I was told that this was a good starting place."

"I see," Brock replied, rubbing the back of his head as he spoke. "Usually all of our challengers were fledgling trainers no older than 10 or 12 years old... I guess those days are long gone now... Still, I accept your challenge. The match will be a two on two battle with the prize being a Boulder Badge. Do you accept?"

"Of course," Ruby answered, feeling that nervous sensation in the pit of her stomach returning once more.

With a loud, echoing click the lights in the gym clicked on overhead to reveal just how unique the room that Ruby and Brock were standing in. The gym revealed itself revealed it to be a rather mountainous looking area. In fact, if Ruby had not known any better she would have sworn that she and Brock were standing inside of an actual cave. A part of the young woman wondered if all the gyms were like this or if Brock was just a bit on the eccentric side. Regardless, it was time for the battle to finally begin.

Taking a ball off from around his belt, Brock tossed it out on to the gym floor with a smirk. "Let's go, Lairon! You're up first!"

The Pokéball bounced on the ground before opening up and shooting out a strange, four-legged creature. It looked to resemble some sort of bull or something out of the dinosaur age. The only difference was the fact that it had the shine of what appeared to be armor or steel covering chunks of its body. It was definitely a bit on the meaty side, and looked like it could take more than its fair share of hits.

"Something tells me sending out Juliet first would not be in her or my own best interest. Looks like I'll have to change my plans around to match this," Ruby thought with a frown. She glanced down to her side, her eyes locking with those of her faithful Houndoom. She gave the dog Pokémon a small smile and nod. "Alright Fang, you're gonna lead this charge. Are you ready?"

The Houndoom barked in response and quickly ran out to take his spot in the gym. The two Pokémon stared each other down, each one looking like they were quite excited for the battle at hand. Ruby had to admit the whole situation was actually quite exciting, despite being nerve-wracking at the same time.

"Ready...?" Brock called out, earning a quick nod from the young woman. "Then let this match begin!"

Now, Ruby was no stranger to battling. While the young woman was not the most experienced at Pokémon battles, she had fought against enough wild Pokémon along the way to Pewter City to at least have a basic grasp of the concept. Steeling her nerves as best she could, Ruby clenched her fists and issued out her first command for the battle.

"Fang, Flame Charge!" Ruby shouted out.

The Houndoom barked loudly in response and began charging towards Brock's Lairon as fast as his paws would carry him. As Fang ran, his body began to become engulfed in flames until he almost resembled a comet preparing to slam into the Lairon. However, Brock remained perfectly calm as this attack began. A small smirk graced the gym leader's lips as Fang neared the target.

"Lairon, dodge it with Dig!" Brock shouted.

The Lairon let out a mighty roar before suddenly starting to spin around. Quickly, the heavy Pokémon began to burrow its way underground, just barely managing to dodge Fang's attack in time. The Houndoom skidded to a stop, a look of confusion quickly making its way to his face as he began to search around for his opponent. His ears perked up at the sound of a rumble which began to slowly get louder with each passing moment. The ground beneath the Houndoom began to quake, causing Fang to let out a small whimper. Ruby's eyes went wide at the urgent situation she and Fang already found themselves in.

"Fang, quick jump back!" the young woman tried to command.

However, her order came a bit too late. At that exact moment, Brock's Lairon came bursting up from the ground from underneath Fang! The Houndoom let out a yelp of mixed pain and surprise as rocks and dirt launched him up into the air and then he fell back to the ground with a rather painful-looking thud. Ruby held her breath as Fang slowly managed to climb up to his feet. His legs seemed a bit shaky at first, but the Houndoom managed to regain his balance and return to being battle-ready once more.

"I can honestly say I wasn't expecting something that big to be that quick. Going with a frontal assault isn't going to be the answer for this problem," Ruby thought with a frown. "We'll have to use speed to out move this thing... I think I can work with that, too."

Turning her attention back to the battlefield, Ruby glanced from her Houndoom and then over to Brock. She wondered what the chances of this plan of attack actually working was. Then again, she knew the only to find out was to try.

"Alright, Fang! We're gonna charge on forward again! Flame Charge!" Ruby ordered.

The Houndoom barked back in response and once more began to charge forward. Brock watched with the same confident smile as Fang dashed forward, glancing down to his Lairon with a quick nod.

"Alright, Lairon! Attack it back with Headbutt!" the gym leader commanded.

Lairon let out another loud roar and began to charge forward as told. The large Pokémon lowered its head as it ran forward, causing the light to reflect and shine of its metal-covered head. Ruby could tell just from the look of it that getting hit by something that hard was probably not in Fang's best interest. Ruby kept her eyes glued to the situation before her. She watched as both of the Pokémon neared each other, before her eyes suddenly lit up when the right moment presented itself.

"Now, Fang! Dodge off to the side and give it a chomp with Fire Fang!" the girl shouted.

Brock's eyes went wide with surprise as Fang nimbly obeyed his trainer's command. The Houndoor rolled off to the side right before Lairon would have slammed his steel-covered head into the dog Pokémon and promptly bit its fangs right into the Lairon's backside. Steam and smoke began to emit from the bite, causing Lairon to thrash about in an attempt to shake the Houndoom off of its body. Fang did eventually release the bite and then jumped back and kept his eyes focused on the now clearly angry Lairon.

"Shake it off Lairon, we can do this!" Brock shouted. "Use Mudslap, now!"

Lairon quickly followed its new orders and slammed its tail into the dirt and mud on the battlefield. The dirt and mud flew up, smacking Fang right in the eyes, causing the Houndoom to let out a yelp of surprise. Brock did not waste a moment of this opportunity, however. He quickly ordered his Lairon to attack with another Headbutt. Lairon began to charge forward once more, its head lowering down as he neared its target.

"Fang! You have to dodge it now! Roll off to the side and use another Fire Fang!" Ruby shouted.

The Houndoom looked around, his paw swiping at the dirt and mud that covered his eyes in an attempt to regain some of his eyesight. The Fire-type was not quick enough however, and Lairon soon slammed his head right into the Houndoom. Fang let out a painful yelp as he flew back, before landing roughly in the dirt and skidding back towards Ruby. The woman watched with baited breath as somehow, someway the Houndoom managed to pick himself back up once more. She could tell that one more solid hit like that would probably be more than enough to knock Fang out for the remainder of the battle.

"Lairon, one more Headbutt!" Brock shouted.

Lairon charged forward once again. Once again, it lowered its head as it did so. Ruby watched with wide eyes as Fang was still attempting to get the dirt and mud out of his eyes, but to little to no avail.

"There's only one chance left... Fang, use Roar!" Ruby called out.

Fang gritted his teeth. The Houndoom pulled his head back as the Lairon charged forward, before suddenly snapping his jaws wide open and unleashing his next attack. However, rather than a loud, terrifying roar to send Lairon charging back towards Brock... a blast of hot, powerful fire came charging out of the Houndoom's mouth! Brock and Ruby both watched in surprise as Lairon crashed into the flames, its charge beginning to slowdown as it began to battle against the force of the flames being shot from Fang's mouth. Both trainers were absolutely silent Lairon's charge gradually came to a stop, before the large Pokémon crashed to the ground and fainted on the spot. Fang let out a small bark of victory, before his shaky legs finally gave out from under him. It looked as if the Houndoom was down and out of the battle as well. It was Brock who finally broke the silence, as he pulled out Lairon's Pokéball and recalled the creature.

"I have to admit, that last attack surprised me," Brock began. "I never expected a Flamethrower to be used when you commanded your Houndoom to use Roar."

"That makes two of us," Ruby replied quickly, calling back Fang at that point as well. She glanced down at his ball, smiling softly at it as she thanked the Houndoom for a battle well fought. "He doesn't even know Flamethrower... At least, he didn't."

Brock began to laugh at that point. "Well, it looks like he picked a fine time to learn it. But I hope you're ready... 'Cause this next match is for all the marbles." Brock pulled out a second Pokéball and quickly tossed it out onto the gym floor. "Archen! You're up!"

Ruby watched as the Pokémon to emerge from the light of the ball was something she was not quite expecting. Of all the possible things it could have been, it was a bird. She could have sworn that Brock was a user of Rock-types... but then again upon further inspection, it did look as if the bird's beak was made of rock. Brock could see the curious look on Ruby's face and smiled.

"Believe it or not, this Pokémon is actually extinct. The museum here in town was able to extract and revive it from a fossil I happened to come across one day while exploring in Mt. Moon," Brock explained.

A somewhat skeptical look took Ruby's features. "Is that actually possible?"

"I... can't really explain it myself either," Brock admitted, an embarrassed blush creeping up on his cheeks. "I'm not much of a science guy, just... trust me on this one, okay?"

Ruby nodded and hooked Fang's ball back onto the ribbon tied around her upper left arm. The woman then took the only other ball hooked onto that ribbon, looking down at it nervously. She really did not know just how well Juliet would do in a battle such as this. She knew that the Pidgey was no where near as strong as Fang... still, she was all that Ruby had left. The woman knew she had to put her faith into the tiny bird and hope that she would come out on top.

"Alright, Juliet! Your turn!" Ruby called out, tossing out the Pidgey's Pokéball out into the gym.

Juliet flapped her little wings, chirping happily as she looked back at her trainer. The Pidgey then turned to look over at her opponent, her eyes locking with those of Brock's Archen. For one moment, Ruby could have sworn that she saw Archen laughing at Juliet while the bird suddenly shuddered in a somewhat nervous fashion, almost as if she was terrified at the fact she was about to be called into battle.

"Alright, Archen! Let's start off with a Wing Attack!" Brock shouted.

Archen let out a loud squawk and took of flying towards Ruby's Pidgey. Juliet suddenly let out a loud chirp of fear and quickly took off flying away from the prehistoric bird Pokémon. Ruby was almost speechless, staring in wonder at how her Pidgey was fleeing in fear at the Archen. Archen was right on her tail the whole way though, and the fossil-bird took a quick swing at Juliet with its wing. By somehow or another, the attack managed to just barely miss Juliet. Yet despite it all, Juliet was still flying away from the Archen.

"Come on, Juliet! You can't just keep running from it! Attack it back with a Quick Attack!" Ruby shouted.

The Pidgey glanced down, looking somewhat unsure of her trainer's command. However, Ruby gave the Pidgey a reassuring nod. Juliet still looked hesitant, but the Pidgey still followed through as she was told. She quickly dived down, aiming her small beak towards the Archen as quickly as she could.

"Archen! Use Rock Throw!" Brock shouted.

Archen squawked in response and quickly flew towards the ground. Juliet was hot Archen's tail and was gaining speed by the moment. Archen quickly scooped up a sizable rock in its talons. With another loud squawk, Archen launched the rock up at Juliet. Ruby watched with wide eyes as the rock slammed into her still-diving Pidgey. Juliet let out a loud, pain-filled chirp as she fell back and began spiraling towards the ground. Ruby cursed under her breath, berating herself for ever allowing Juliet to take place in the battle to begin with. Tossing everything aside for the moment, Ruby quickly ran from her place on the side of the gym and ran out onto the floor. The woman dove, skidding to a stop on her knees... and just barely managed to catch the Pidgey in arms.

"Juliet...?" Ruby whispered, glancing down at the bird in her arms. The Pidgey was not moving though. Slowly, Ruby shook the Pidgey gently, earning herself a weak, tired chirp before fainting in her arms. Ruby smiled weakly, sighing in relief that Juliet was not fatally hurt. "I'm so sorry, Juliet..."

Slowly, Ruby glanced up at Brock. Both of her Pokémon had fainted... she lost.

At first glance, Emily is the average girl you see walking down the street. However, look at her twice and you'll be taken aback. She is not only pretty, but someone who knows how to hold themselves in a confident manner. She is a person who moves in just the right way to show off what she has, and boy, does she have it. Standing at an average 5'8" and weighing about 128 lbs, Emily is a person with nearly flawless skin, only ever having a few blemishes here or there. A gymnast's body and a oval-shaped face only add to the appeal. Her long and wavy blonde hair seems to perfectly frame her face, giving an added effect to her gray eyes, small nose, and plump lips. Her tan complexion only seems to accentuate her features even more.

With her body size, Emily can easily pull off most outfits thrown her way with little to no effort at all. When she is simply lounging around after a practice, she is usually found wearing simple shorts and tank tops. Of course, that doesn't mean you'll never see her wearing a dress for formal events or even skinny jeans and a blouse when out on the town. Whatever seems to fit her mood that day, she will wear and yet still pull it off everytime.

Personality:

Spend a couple days with Emily and you'll have only seen part of her vast personality. Get down a few layers and you'll quickly realize that she is a passionate girl. Whether it be about her gymnastic, her taste in music, her opinions, or her dreams, you will know that she always tries her hardest for the things she cares about. After all, if you asked her, she would say you can never really enjoy something unless you have a bag full of emotions behind it. She is one of those rare people who are happy to share what they are passionate about, even if it resorts to showing off. She has always thought that passion has made her become more focused than most, allowing her to be more productive and in the long run, more skillful at what she does. She also enjoys the company of her friends and will protect them and their reputation with her life. If you dare cross her any of them, you better know that you crossed her too. She is passionate about anything that makes her who she is, whether it be her hobbies, her friends, or her family.

She is often told she has a "strong-will" when it comes to things. She would agree. When put into a tough situation, she is decisive and confident, often enough to have no regrets over what she has done. She is committed and will use any resource at her disposal to get where she needs to be, no matter the reason. Hell, if you said something that hurt her or her friends, she would be more than determined to figure out what needs to be done about, and trust me, most people should be afraid when finally does it. She is bold and will not hesitate to take any risks.

Of course, not everything can necessarily be in her favor. Some of the people who label her strong-willed tend to look at the negative aspects of it. They say that she will often get "too" into things, not that she thinks its a thing. She is often rebellious in matter, standing against the typical norm of what people think she should act like, although this is only really heard and not seen. She becomes difficult to deal with, sometimes getting a sense of "over-committed" when it comes to solving a problem. People will tend to think that her passionate actions will be full of too many emotions.

However, this also culminates in her ability to push people to their limits, particularly by pushing people to try as hard as they can. This is easily seen when you see her leading her gymnastics team at a practice or meet. Constantly focused on the task at hand, she will do anything to help her team win. However, if things went bad, she will not waver at doing what she thinks is right, even if it went against the groups opinion as a whole.

History:

Like many people, Emily started off with barely mentionable beginnings. Valley, Nebraska, the place where she grew up, was a small city in the middle of the American Heartland. Her family, consisting of her mother, father, and two older brothers, were some of the better off people in town, not that that made a difference as the general populace was typically pretty well off to begin with. Her parents, who had been married for ten years before her birth, played some of the biggest roles in her life for obvious reasons. With her dad being one of the main delegates on the city council and her mother a small-time dance teacher, her life was essentially shaped from the beginning. Sometimes, she still wonders whether this was mere circumstance or destiny.

After years of watching her mother teach (not that she knew what was going on) and a multitude of attempts at climbing onto and jumping off counters and tables, Emily was finally enrolled into a gymnastics class at the young age of six. It was quickly discovered that she had a natural affinity for the sport. For years, she balanced the sport along with school. For many, something like this would be stressful and Emily was no exception to this. However, she pulled through and by the time she was a sophomore, she became the captain of the Valley High School gymnastics team.

After turning 18, Emily moved to New York City in order to attend Juilliard for dance and gymnastics. She was quickly a well-established gymnast at the school. About a year after she began attending, Emily moved to a set of apartment buildings nearby.

Personality: Biyomon is a Digimon with a solid view on life. She, like her tamer, possesses a strong willpower. Often enough, you will see her with a smile (or at least, as much of a smile as a bird can). Many times, you will see her headstrong attitude at play, making her want to rush in and fight when she and/or her friends are in danger.

Monday is a tall, caramel-skinned woman. She stands an even six feet and she isn't afraid of making herself taller with a good pair of heels. Monday has big, dark brown, curly hair that reaches down to her shoulders. When she straightens it though, you can see that her hair goes down to her back in actuality.

Clothing wise, Monday likes to wear looser fitting clothing. Not too loose, just enough that she doesn't feel like she's suffocating. When it comes to designs she likes to wear patterned clothing. Flowers, diamonds, dots, if she thinks she can pull it off, no doubt she'll wear it! However, those are more of her out-and-about-gotta-look-good outfits. When she's just at home or just going out quickly, Monday is okay with wearing tank tops and nice yoga pants, shorts, or sweatpants. That type of clothing is generally what she wears to exercise or practice her routines in, so you can imagine she has a lot of those. When it comes to jackets and accessories, Monday adores blazers for dressing up and big sweaters and cardigans for more relaxed settings. For colder times, Monday likes to wear coats that end high at her chest or midriff or (if it can't be done) right at her waist. Not all of them are practical for keeping warm but… She likes the way they look.

As for her shoes, Monday absolutely adores heels and will wear them whether or not they're practical. When it's the absolute worst time to wear heels, though, Monday will gladly wear a pair of converse shoes. She isn't a big fan of flats, but she'll wear them if she must for the more dressier occasions. For accessories, Monday loves to wear bracelets, rings, anklets, and most of all hairclips shaped like flowers and bows! Even in her most relaxed situation, it's not often you see her without a pretty flower in her hair. Either a fake clip or an accessory she made herself from flowers she found around home.

What's she like?

Monday is always up for a challenge no matter what it is! It's owed partially to her love of competition, but it's mostly because to her fearless nature. Little to nothing intimidates Monday and that's easy to see when she jumps right into things. Whether it be some embarrassing stunt or standing up to great odds, Monday won't hesitate to participate. If you ask her friends and family, they'd say that Monday's picture was right under the definition of reliability. If Monday doesn't come through for you, there must be something terribly wrong-- or it's just plain impossible. She absolutely prides herself on coming through on any request or promise given to her and her speed fulfilling those promises. However, not all things can be done in a day, and her lack of swiftness can damage her morale. If Monday can't do something quickly then, to her, she's let someone down. Going back on her word isn't acceptable, and if she does, Monday can't help but feel ashamed. When she confesses her failure there's nothing that can stop her from trying to make it up to you. It's her way of righting a wrong, and while it doesn't completely make up for it, it's better than nothing.

When it comes to meeting others, Monday always tries to be friendly and polite. However, she can quickly dislike someone from their first meeting. It's for that reason that first impressions are very important to her. If one wrong thing in such a short time can ruin her perception of someone, wouldn't that be true for others? It's a no-brainer in her book so she tries her hardest to be the perfect person when first meeting someone. It's after they've gotten to know each other when she can show other parts of her personality.

Monday enjoys a bit of gossip and loves to have conversations with her friends about the latest this-and-that or the he-said-she-said for the day. More than talking about it, she loves hearing about it and her desire to be in the loop has turned her into a great listener. A great listener and a sneaky observer. Monday has invented all types of ways to listen into someone's conversation and act like she's doing something more important at the same time. Working on an assignment, practicing a routine, reading (a classic really), you name it, she'll try it. Instead of spreading the gossip and rumors all over, Monday keeps within her circle of friends. Much better conversations to be had between them than with someone she barely knew! But even without gossip, Monday simply loves to talk to and interact with others. She isn't hesitant to jump in and get to know others and doesn't expect other people to be shy with her!

However, we have only touched on the good parts of Monday's personality, and while Monday is a good person, everyone has negative traits. For example, Monday can be a harshly judgemental person. Her biggest issue with others is when someone doesn't take action when they could have. Those who just sit and stare or sit and complain (the more likely of the two) doesn't look good in Monday's eyes. When Monday's judgement falls upon someone, it's hard to repair and her displeasure with someone can make her start to dislike them. In fact, that is also true for her competitive side. Monday loves rivalries and can be easily caught in them if they arise. Unfortunately sometimes she can get too into the competition and her frustration with her performance can make her slowly dislike her rival. It takes her good friends to bring her back to Earth and remind her that the issue isn't as bad as it seems.

What makes Monday Monday?

Monday was an only child born in Fishers, Indiana. Like most kids, Monday had encouraging parents. When talking about her, Monday's parents will always bring up their pride in Monday's performances and her desire to be active. It felt day one when Monday became an athlete. At the age of two, Monday's parents could see she had a love for dancing. By the time she was three she was enrolled in dance lessons for young children. The thing was though, Monday was never the type to do just one thing. As she got older she discovered her love for swimming and begged to have lessons. At six years old Monday got her swimming lessons which would later open up to joining small swim teams during elementary and parts of middle school. During her time swimming, Monday earned medals for her performance and later became one of the best swimmers on her team. Still, her desire to do more came around again. When she turned twelve, Monday put away her swimsuit and focused her athletic skills on the game of softball. Not being the best hitter in the world, Monday became the team's pitcher. While her batting did improve, nothing could beat her powerful, bulls-eye pitching that was credited with winning a game or two. However, as much as she likes softball she only stayed in the game for about four years before she put her bat away and joined the tennis team. Like with her other spots, Monday had a knack for the game. But like her other sports, she wouldn't stick with it. Monday considered joining the lacrosse team and probably would have done it if her mother hadn't told her to pick.

Monday was eighteen and as her senior year came to a close, she would have to decide what to stick with. She couldn't expect to receive a scholarship for every sport she had ever played. Besides, her mother wanted her to focus on one sport during college. Not many. The pressure was on Monday. Swimming, softball, tennis? What did she want to do more. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't as hard to choose as Monday thought it would have been and with her mother's help it was even easier. In the end, Monday decided to take up dance in her college years. Dancing had been the one thing she'd stuck to throughout her eighteen years and she had loved every moment of the lessons and performances she had participated in. While she had made friends in all of her activities, the ones she obtained from her dancing were the strongest. How could she abandon something she loved so much? It couldn't be done. Yes, Monday would definitely do dance. In fact, the realization of her love for the sport inspired her to double major in dance and education. Before she left, Monday's mother gave birth to her little sister Toni (who they jokingly call Tuesday). The arrival of her little sister fueled Monday's want to finish her studies so her sibling could be one of the first of her many students!

In college, Monday not only got to continue learning to improve her dancing skills, but was able to continue doing performances. By her second semester, Monday was able to join their school's dance team which would perform in shows and competitions in and outside of their area. Monday adored performing and has stayed with the group into her Junior year. Now today Monday is taking a trip to New York to do a New Year's performance as extra credit during their break. Always up to do a show, Monday was the first to sign up.

Cutemon ♀

Like other Digimon like her, Cutemon is mischievous and enjoys playing tricks on others. Like Monday she enjoys having a good time, but is much less tolerant of anything she deems in any way unfun. When she can't get what she wants, Cutemon has a tendency to strike out on her own. When battling, Cutemon likes to taunt her opponents and has a big mouth. She often yelling threats at her enemies before combat.

Cutemon enjoys listening to music and dancing.

Name: Daxter "Dax" Jefferson

Description: At 6' 3", Dax is taller than most, and kind of skinny, though he stays fit by running. He has a lean, wiry build, with long arms and legs. Pale skinned, dark haired, and dark eyed, if not for his height he would be physically average and unnoticeable. He keeps his hair cut short, about an inch long, though it is straight and tends to stick in all directions.

For the most part, Dax dresses simply. He wears simple, solid color t-shirts, usually red or white, tucked into his light blue jeans and secured with a simple black belt. He refuses to wear shorts, always wearing long pants. He wears blue running shoes. Along with these, he wears two more unusual garments: his hat and his coat. He wears a black felt bowler hat, (which his short hair keeps secure on his head), and a black canvas duster, a light but sturdy coat that reaches to his knees.

Personality: A bit of an intellectual, Dax used to be reserved and a little nervous around others, but he tries to overcome this by being friendly and open with people. He's sometimes unsure of what is or isn't appropriate, and will chime in with whatever comes to mind. But he goes in with enthusiasm, and is a quick learner. He is very curious about things, always wanting to learn new things, see new sights, or visit new places. He likes to walk down streets he's never been on, eat new foods he's never had, or meet people and talk with them.

Sadly, he's a bit of a perfectionist, always worried that he'll mess up and let others down. His nervousness leads him to hesitate, and he is often visibly uncomfortable. He is awkward because of his height, and tends to clutch his hands in front of his chest when nervous, and emphatically gestures while talking. In this way, he is always moving around: walking, talking and gesturing all at once.

With his awkwardness, curiosity, and energy, he is often seen as a bit of a ditz. He usually seems to be in a good mood, is fascinated by most everything, and tries to lift people's spirits when things look bad. He's not ignorant of hard times, he just genuinely wants people to be happy. Although if he lets someone down, causes problems, or generally ruins a good mood, he becomes quiet and sad. In times like these, he goes off on his own, so no one has to put up with him and he can't ruin things further. But he always comes back, after giving things time to calm down, hoping to fix any damage he caused.

Though usually quite alert and perceptive, he is easily distracted when he is hungry (which is often), and tends to eat a lot, despite his slender build. Food is one of his favorite subjects, and he will excitedly chatter on if anyone will listen, as his dream is to one day become a chef. He is happiest when cooking or eating, but also enjoys reading books, running, or listening to music.

History: Born in Chicago, Dax is the youngest son of a wealthy family, with one older brother. His father is a lawyer, his mother a realtor. When he was young, he avoided all other children, preferring to spend his time reading or playing games with his brother. He was taught by a tutor, further removing him from contact with others his age. He came to regret his family's wealth, since to him it only meant isolation and loneliness. When his brother left home to join the military, Dax felt more alone than ever, spending long hours in his room, taking refuge in his books, or out on long runs in the country outside of town.

When he graduated from high school, Dax knew he needed to get out from under his parents to ever have his own life. He needed to go to a new town, where he didn't know anyone, where no one knew his family, and where he could be around common people, to really see what the world was like. He decided on New York City, a town even bigger than his own Chicago, where he could go to a good school, could meet different people from all walks of life, and where he could find great restaurants and parks to indulge his hobbies.

His parents supported his decision, since celebrity chefs were very trendy, but he refused to let them pay his way. He wanted to make his own future, not just get a hand out from his wealthy family. They begrudgingly agreed, though they did pay for his plane ticket.

Of course, he underestimated the real world, and schooling was outrageously expensive. But he refused to go to his parents, and managed to find an apartment and get a job, working six days a week at a sandwich shop. He is happier than he has ever been in his life.

Personality: Energetic, talkative, and friendly, Impmon just wants to have fun. He's eager to explore, to wander, to look inside every container he can find. He has a bit of a mean streak, though, and enjoys playing tricks on others, often using his innate ability to disrupt electronic devices. When he does get serious, he becomes quiet and focused, planning a particularly spiteful revenge.

Aya stood by the window in the common room, looking out at the Herbology garden. It was a hot summer night (well, as hot as Scotland gets in September), but she still felt cold. More accurately, a chill went down her spine and settled in the pit of her stomach. She takes a deep breath through her nostrils, smelling the scented candles as she silently counts to five. She slowly exhales through her mouth, an old trick her dad told her would calm her nerves. She thinks about the riddle the door had posed, and how quickly one of the older boys had solved it. What is so fragile, that even saying its name can break it?

She sighs, starting to get frustrated. Her dad's breathing exercise hadn't helped, thinking about puzzles didn't help, but there was another trick that calmed her down. She pulls out her wand from a hidden pocket in her sleeve, smiling in anticipation. She truly loved having a wand, and being able to cast spells. It was just so much fun. She slowly waves it in a circle, muttering a little chant under her breath. "In blackest night or brightest day, I command the light to come and play! Lumos!"

Rather than conjuring an orb of light, she experiences a tickle in her head, making her sneeze loudly. A pitch black ball springs from her wand, startling her even more. Her focus lost, the orb vanishes, replaced by a thin layer of ectoplasm, which falls to the floor with a soft *splat*. Aya covers her mouth with a hand, her face heating up as a few students look her way in disgust. The ectoplasm begins evaporating almost instantly, leaving behind no trace of her botched spell.

Aya is shaken by the experience, recalling the boy's talk of a curse. This would be one hell of a curse, all right. Ignoring the looks she is given, she pushes past other students, heading for the door. "I need some air!" What she really needs is the professor, but she hasn't come in yet. Slightly panicked, Aya decides to go look for her, regardless of the rules.

With no one trying to stop her (the prefects must be busy dealing with other students), Aya leaves the common room with no problems. As soon as she is outside the room, the cool night air reaches her, pushing aside her momentary panic. "Maybe I just overreacted. I mean, I sneezed, the spell got messed up. Sure, I've done that spell hundreds of times, and it's never gone wrong before, but there's a first time for everything, right?!" She finds herself talking to a suit of armor, which has nothing to say about the issue.

She frowns, pulling out her wand again. She takes a breath, confident her spell will work this time. "Lumos!" She sneezes, her wand projecting a stream of shadows. Her breath escapes in a squeak of fear, the spell cutting out suddenly. She doesn't even notice the door opening as another student follows her out.

"New plan! New spell, that'll work! Accio!" She points at the helmet of the armor, but the spell again backfires. She feels dizzy, clutching her head as the helmet goes flying, slamming into the wall and bouncing off, loudly bouncing down the stairs.

Aya cringes at the loud noise, waiting until the helmet stops bouncing before making a move. She leans against the stairwell's railing, putting her wand back in her sleeve pocket almost absentmindedly. "Okay, so I'm cursed. That guy was telling the truth. There's a damn curse on us all."

She glances at the suit of armor, thinking that somebody's going to notice the missing helmet. "Sorry about your head." The armor gives her a rather rude hand gesture, and she looks down the stairs again. "I guess I should go get that..."

Nice to see you Godzil! The SU is looking good for the most part, but I would expand on the personality a bit. While it does have the important stuff, it does seem a bit thin.

I also can't help but compare him to the Bowler Hat guy from Meet the Robinsons. I mean... Just look at this. The hat and coat just fit. :P

Description: A dark skinned fellow standing at about 5'11''. Black hair cut short complemented by deep brown eyes. Jason's build is about average for his age, not very muscular but not very skinny either. He seldom leaves home without his, usually unzipped, leather jacket consisting of black on the outside and dark green on the inside. A pair of narrow eye glasses can be found hanging from his jacket pocket to use whenever the need to see afar arises. Underneath the jacket is a tan t-shirt with a design forming the head of a German Shepard dog. The last of his usual attire are a pair of long blue-black jeans complemented by sturdy black and white sneakers.

Jason tries to keep his facial expressions from veering off from bright and calm, however he ins't very good at hiding his emotions. Regardless, he makes a point to stand tall, straight, and strong despite whatever happens.

Personality: It's not exactly hard to get to know Jason. He likes to experience new things, but at times attempts them without much forethought. It isn't uncommon for him to be indecisive and fickle, rarely sticking to, or seeing an idea all the way through. That or just simply hopping from one thing to another too quickly. However, an innate stubbornness causes him to heavily persist in the more difficult tasks he encounters; sometimes to the point of tiring himself out.

While not usually an advocate of being bossed around, Jason is otherwise an excellent team player and enjoys lending a hand. Often times he will be more dedicated to tasks in helping others rather than tasks for himself. He generally enjoys the feeling of helping others in any way he can. However, Jason dislikes to be the constant center of attention, hates drama, and is less vocal than his peers.

When meeting new people, Jason is indiscriminate and treats everyone fairly and friendly. His ethics are centered around giving as much respect and you give him. If he feels as though you are a decent person, he'll be generally friendly and helpful. However if he finds you to be annoying or a general pain, you'll find yourself being generally ignored and/or avoided. Despite this, Jason is a rather negotiable person, so he's always glad to take the time to work things out or collaborate to solve problems if you truly wish to fix an issue. If you do become, his friend, Jason becomes one of the most reliable people you could know.

Jason's favorite dishes would consist of mostly seafood and enjoys tangy drinks that can range from sweet to sour to bitter as well. Dislikes excessive spicy flavors. In his free time, he'll enjoy about everything from reading a book, to video games, to being out and about at the park.

History:

Born in the city of Davie in south Florida, Jason is an only child brought up by his parents. However, both mother and father were always working and barely had time to bond with their son. What time they did have together was spent focusing strictly academics. On the bright side, he never had a problem in school because of that. Moving wasn't unheard off in the Benedict family, usually when Jason's parents find rewarding job opportunities. This has caused Jason be separated from many new and old friends. Things changed a lot during his early years. Different people, different sights, sounds, interests, and experiences. That would be the main reason why Jason is rather spontaneous and holds many varying interests. While he does miss some of the things he leaves behind, he also thoroughly enjoys the prospect of seeking out what's ahead.

At about his sophomore year in high school, Jason's parents decided they were going to settle down in South Florida. This encouraged Jason to get more involved with extracurricular clubs and activities since he no longer had to worry about abruptly leaving. Jason got involved in where debate club, computers, and art club. He juggled those activities along with some regular voluntary community service with his regular school work. What saved Jason from keeping up with so many things at once was his eagerness to finish one thing to get to the next. Otherwise he might have been slightly overwhelmed.

Once turning 17, Jason was planning to apply for college but didn't where to go or what his desired major to be. He was always bad with choices so he turned towards his parents for a suggestion. They were of little help, telling him that they couldn't decide what he should study. Finally, he asked his best friend what college he was going to. To Jason's delight, his friend's college of choice also had Graphic Design as a major, something Jason was particularly interested in among other things. The only issue was that the college itself was located in New York. However, seeing as their son finally made a decision, they arranged and plan everything Jason needed to head out to college. After applying and to his relief, being accepted, Jason was headed to the city that never sleeps.

Personality: In contrast to Jason, Guilmon is more patient, calm and less scatted an individual. He values the little things and is always leans to the side of optimism when trying to figure things out. There aren't many things that can cause Guilmon to feel terribly flustered, anxious, or perturbed.

It's always easy to interpret what Guilmon is thinking because he's rather open and direct. Unless necessary he's not exactly one for secrecy and thinks everyone should be honest with one another. He's usually accepting and inviting to new people and it's not that hard to strike a good note with Guilmon. While not really poetic, he's always able to get what's on his mind across and equally adapt at absorbing what others have to say as well.

Very perceptive as well, Guilmon is very keen at observing things about his surrounding and people that others might miss. This is especially so for Jason. Due to the understanding they have of one another, there isn't anything Jason can hide from Guilmon that the digimon wouldn't notice. Like his tamer he, finds great enjoyment in a lot of things, however he doesn't let himself get overrun with what he's doing and usually just does what others around him are doing. Having a great amount of stamina, he's able to keep up Jason's antics and then some. Because of these traits he's unfailingly able to assist and guide Jason whenever his tamer his a rut or needs direction.

The Call of the Crystal

The vision and message granted by the keeper was certainly an experience. Noah wasn't exactly sure what to make of it all as it was happening. The mind link between the 'mon was certainly powerful. He had been exposed to psychic energy before in a similar manner, but none such were so piercing and immobilizing as the current link formed to communicate with the keeper. Although he didn't know the Trade Prince PERSONALLY, things like this caused Noah to respect him and other psychics a bit more for mastering such discipline with their mental abilities. Despite the sudden shock that caught him off-guard, the Typhlosion swiftly calmed his nerves and prepared to absorb every word the 'mon within the crystal had to share with them.

Out of habit, Noah attempted to form an opinion of the Keeper from the first several sentences spoken. The Keeper seemed like a weary individual. There wasn't much optimism or the faintest joy coated in his words. But who could blame him?, Noah guess. The Flash also couldn't help but feel a resounding sense of sympathy. Trapped in a hollow, vacant crystal for years only being able to listen and observe been never take action or exercise the basic privileges of freedom. Anything of the sort would have certainly driven him mad. Noah was never the sit around and do nothing kind of guy. All of this caused him to view the crystal in a more shrewd light.

However, this initial opinion shifted in curiosity as the Keeper went on. The crystals, just like the one they were visiting inside now housed an enormous amount of power and knowledge. Of course, Noah himself had no idea of the actual scale and TRUE magnitude of this power, so he'd just have to take the Keeper's word for it. There were several moments where Noah wanted to interject with a question, but he kept forgetting that wasn't possible each time he tried. What was interesting to him was that their were wielders of these crystal's and their power. Probably their guardians, Noah thought. Names of a few Wielders were mentioned more than once; "Rey", "Zane", "Tsulong". None of them exactly struck a bell but Noah figured they sounded important. Then a few questions formulated in his mind, causing him to partially tune out of the Keeper's speech. What did it take to become a Wielder of such power?, What were so special about these particular pokemon?, and Aren't I possibly strong enough to be a Wielder? The Typhlosion although fixated on these thoughts, shook his head clear to listen again to the Keeper.

Finally information on what they must do next. At the mention of Xerneas or Naestor, Noah could only think of a regal and noble being, as he is described to be Thrace's exact opposite. He was however largely disappointed upon hearing that Naestor was currently nowhere to be found. Lastly, the Keeper summarized the current state of the Nexuses and the reason for the Stygian attacks. Noah didn't know what to make of that himself, so naturally he decided to leave that up to Garland.

As the Keeper's speech finally came to a halt, he turned to his COMPANIONS in hopes to discuss what they have heard but sighed as Dean, Alphus, and Beryl were subjugated to a rather random prank from Jacob. Noah decided to keeps his thoughts to himself as they all eventually were teleported away thanks to the aid of the little Natu.
