That's Nintendo's new way of advertising Pokemon. They felt like 3D without glasses wasn't impressive enough.

Subliminal advertising. And I thought Microsoft would be the first to try it.
 
We're pretty sure, Nica. But we do take any excuse to put those men in the big white lab coats off of our trail for as long as possible. Those straitjackets are pretty uncomfortable. (b'-')b
