I go by my christened middle name too. My real first name is a lot shorter and more common. But it's my mom's first name too, so it would be confusing if I was being called that.

Ah, that makes sense, Rika. I don't really know why I go by my middle name. It's odd. I don't hate my first name. I like it, but for some reason, I've always been called Adam.

I know it's not a bad name. It's way too common, though. I don't know how often I was confused in class because there was more than one Adam in it. My first name is William.
