I'll put my bets on chiramii being the pachirisu of generation V. I can't imagine the poor thing evolving into something else poor.

As awesome as chinchillas are, there's something I honestly don't like at all about the design. Maybe it's the tail. Maybe it's just a bad design in general. I don't know though, it's just…unimpressive ):
