My partner in our science fair screwed up her name badly. She wrote her name all fancy on the legal documents and when we got to the fair her name tag said "Lean" instead of "Leah." I rofl'd~ XD

no, that's nothing, one day in elementary school our teacher was out, so the principle had come in to announce that we'd be having a substatute teacher for the day. His name was "Tong" (he was of asian decent), but apparently the principle didn't know that, and introduced him to the entire class as "Thong"

Couldn't make this up...
 
Kura: My handwriting is print anyways, but it's sometimes quite messy so I have to take my time. The pains of having to go fast >_<;

X3 Haha! That's hilarious!!

Oh! Speaking of a teacher of Asian decent, my homeroom teacher, Mr. Cheng (who is Chinese) did something really funny on Friday. He hooked up a Dreamcast to the projection TV in the class and we were playing Super Street Figher 3 for 40 minutes! It was so great!! X3

Eh, my cursive looks like a big blob of loops squished together~ D: But my print's not much better, but faster, so meh.

Capitals? My caps are really slow~ u.u
 
I hate writing in cursive. I never seem to use it anymore. I'm not even sure I still remember how to write all the letters in cursive. In elementary school our teachers would tell us that we needed to learn cursive because that's all we'd be allowed to use in middle and high school. That was a joke. The only time I ever used cursive in high school was to sign my signature. XD
 
I pretty much can't write good anyway, unless I'm writing larger letters on a poster. I used to have to print my words in yr 7 though, I was the only one the teacher made. And cursive..the only cursive I used was when I swore at my friend. Yeah..bad joke taken from the Simpsons.
 
I love the Simpsons, but that joke isn't coming back to me. My friend here at school has the seasons on DVDs, so I don't think there are many episodes I've missed. =P

I think technology has made hand writing pretty much obsolete, anyway. Whenever I do write something it's always on my computer. About the only time I have to write things out on paper is when I'm taking notes in class. Now and then I'll have small homework assignments where I'll have to write a tad on paper, but not all that much.
 
The Globex corp, where Bart's at a new school and then..yeah, That's the episode I meant.

I use the computer for most things too. Our teachers expect us to.
 
Ah, I think I vaguely remember that episode.

Enjoy your grade school teachers while you can. I knew college was going to be a big step up from high school, but wow. o.O College is a good time and all, but the workload is pretty intense. Really makes me miss the days of high school where I really didn't have a worry in the world.
 
Well we are um streamed they call it I think. So we get more work than the other classes because they are preparing us..Though by what you just said, I don't think one piece(The second time TV's worked into what I'm saying today) of homework a day is going to prepare us.
 
No, that's not gonna do a great job to prepare you. I heard a statistic the other day that for every hour you spend in class at college, you should put in 3 more hours of studying for that class. If that were the case with me, I think I'd lose my mind. =DDD
 
So..how many classes would people have to do the extra studying in..I mean amount of classes? Are there that many hours in a day? XD
 
Well, I've got a total of 6 classes, which comes out to 16 credits this semester. The number of credits you have is the same number of hours of class a week, so I have 16 hours a week of classes. Soo...multiply 16 by 3 and that's the number of hours I should study a week.
 
Aww..I have eight ;;

16 x 3 =.......48! And who said I sucked at maths.

Mine says half an hour for each subject... so that 3 hours. But the question is, do I need to?

I don't think so..study isn't that nessacary if there isn't anything to study.

I never study unless its the final term and exams are coming up.
 
Um..just how you said it just made me laugh.

We don't normally have exams in the final term..but we do this year I think. 'Cause yr 10's meant to be all tests and that.

Heh, we always have tests each term for each subject (with some exceptions, such as PE). Yeah they're just giving us all this work, and the thing is it's not that I can't do it, is because I'm too lazy to do it. Damn I need to break that habit! :(

This topic has come to pass, but I do type up my work, but I still hand-write random stuff I make up. :\
