I got a fake ID this year...

Not that I could actually pass for 21 (the leagal drinking age), but every once in a while when I want to get into clubs with older friends, I'll bring it along with me, just to be safe; because, I mean, no one actually eximines it as they should, because if you look close enough, you can almost immidiately tell it's a fake xD.

People just don't seem as concened with legal notices as they should be...
 
The legal guideline in England is 21, however, the law (And every pub I've ever being in, along with most shops) state it's 18, you can drink wine from like, 6 years old in your own home with a meal.

I love torrents. I download torrents of Lost and Scrubs from America every week, the episodes only take an hour or so to download, couldn't really ask for more.

...Then what the heck am I? XD

An hour? Whenever I download a torrent of an anime episode it takes at least 5 hours XD;
 
One Piece sometimes took 30 minutes on torrent, other times it took hours, either way torrents annoy me.

The 21 guideline basically means that you have to look at least 21 years old when purchasing alcohol, from a pub or shop, otherwise you'll most likely be asked for some form of photo ID. It's technically not a law, it's more for the young adults with fairly young looking features to be aware that even though they may be 19 or 20 years old, they still may not be served without ID.

It really depends on the file you're downloading though. Since the episodes I download via torrent are new and very popular, there are hundreds or thousands of seeds helping the file to download at a rapid pace.

I've had older torrents of films take an age to download before. I remember one taking more than a week. XD

It's weird, the DCC this month is currently being dominated by the British contingent, with the Australians just behind. The Americans haven't been very talkative so far.
 
That's because the Americans power keeps going out due to freezing powerlines and snow.

Every torrent I've downloaded has been slow for me, once I downloaded some torrent and it took all summer last year to finish. X_x

That's 'cause the British rule. XD

Heh, no kidding. I didn't realize until you mentioned it, but now I see it. Even though I do have some European in me. o:
 
Tch. The 21 year old drinking age is a joke. It seriously stops no one from drinking, at my college anyway. Heck...there are two 21-year olds on my floor that could buy for me anytime I want it, not to mention all the other people I know over the age limit. If you ask me, the US should just reduce the age to 18 like most countries. Very few countries have the problems that we have with young people drinking. The fact that it is illegal just makes people want to do it more.

And what's really screwed up...is that I can vote for our country's President, yet I can't crack open a cold one. =X

My opinion has always been that the legal limit should be lowered for certain drinks only. Alcopops should be available to 16/17 year olds like they are in a lot of European countries. My reasoning for that is because Alcopops are generally weak drinks but still contain enough alcohol in them to get younger people tipsy after a few. And if the current underage group have legal access to some form of alcohol, they're less likely to decide to go out and find ways of getting hold of hard spirits, like my friends and I used to. And if people are drinking weaker alcoholic drinks, they're less likely to be aggressive and violent, since they won't be getting very drunk.

Of course, this is all for England since we have a huge problem with underage drinking and the effects it has on certain groups of people.

Though, I do agree that the limit should be dropped to 18 in America. 21 is a crazy high age.

That's a brilliant idea Dawson, if that was a reality though i wouldn't of spent my weekends as a 15 year old buying cheap white cider =/

the drinking age is really reflected on a persons maturity level; I would understand under occasion giving an 18 year old alchohal, provided they don't...y'know...Get mad drunk, and start something they shouldn't...

But under any age, some people are gonna be able to handle themselfs better than others; I could find some 18 year olds to be trusted more than other 21 year olds.

But then again, there are always gonna be people who will go against laws...
 
21 is pointlessly high, you can buy your own house at 16 in England, you can also get married at 16 too (providing you have parental consent) so why the legal age to drink is 18 escapes me,never mind 21.

Yeah lol torrents do take forever sometimes. I do sometimes download torrents of 24 (best show on TV!) if I missed the new episodes, or if next weeks episode looks to good to wait for. xD

Torrents make my computer lag badly. ;; Not only that but I dont have any sound on my computer. : <
 
Isn't there some of those countries where they can drink at 12? That's what I heard...I think it was Turkey or Azerbaijan; I'm not too sure... :\ Either way, in many 'developing' nations, they're always little kids smoking. Not good! :(
 
I thought people could drink at any age, though being underage would be bad. Talking 'bout underage-ness, In health we were talking about relationships and then this guy said the positives of that is reproduction, were too young to even know what reproduction means. Though most of us do. XD
