Wow, Curious, you sure have kept this place active!
Well I was thinking about adding the "adopt a bug partner" thing, but I wasn't sure...
We might aswell keep it, but we should cut it down to one partner per member, and all members can choose whichever partner the want to!
Also, I'll add little pics, and icons of Bug Pokemon, so anyone who wants to, can add thier partner on their sig!
Well I can see that Curious has already taken care of that!

Also welcome to Tribal Ebony, I hope you have a lot of fun here!

Now on the Contest we'll have on our little thread...
We'll have ourselves a draw-off contest. The contest will start two days from now and it will last two days, and the winner's drawing will be put either on the first, or the co-owner's post! The theme will be to draw a Bug Pokemon, using a Bug Type move...
You will be able to use anything for drawing, either computer program, or just a pencil and a piece of paper. You'll upload your drawing here, on this thread, and when the contest ends all of us are going to vote for the best drawing!
So sharpen your pencils, and think about what you will draw..., and in two days, we are going to start the contest! :D
Haha, don't worry Dragoniteuser if we have new things that you don't want to handle I'll handle them anyday. Yeah, I wasn't sure about the three since my original "adopt and bug pokemon" post stated only 1 per person. Which now I think is an appropriate amount. By the way count me in for the contest. :) And I'll fix the partner pokemon post now.

Well tkallab has just been promoted to a Warrior bee. Congratz!!! Wear your colors with proud! hehe ;)
Yep, it is a bit early, after all there's only three pages to this thread, but I know tkallab, and I know that he will continue to be as active as he was till now. :)
Congratulations! Have fun and continue to be a great benefit to the group and you might get promoted to Queen Bee in due time. :D

And today, I was wondering, what do you think of Vibrava? Isn't he an insect? And how about Trapinch? I mean, they are based on antlions. We have already concluded that Flygon is definitely a dragon, but in my opinion, Trapinch and Vibrava are insects.
Well, I do think they both should be considered to be bug types but since it's a group about them a vote would be fair.
Agreed but those Pokemon will be voted on along with the crabs.
That's understandable and fair. :)
What now...
They aren't added, an they will be voted on along with Trapinch and Vibrava.
Now a new topic for ya all:
If you lived in Pokemon world, but there are no Pokeballs (or Appricorns), what would you do to catch and train your Pokemon?
I would first find a schyther, combee or skourpi and build a relationship of trust and love for eachother so then one of them would happily accompany me on my Pokemon Journey. Since Pokeballs don't exsist this action is much more required to 'catch' and pokemon than having the balls around when do so.

Yeah, it's great! If you could make some of those that would be great!
Also If you could make one for me(that say owner of the Bug Fan Club) and one for Curious(Co-owner ...) and PM us those Banners... Now that would be really great!
That would be awesome! Take your time though, I don't ant to rush you or force you to do anything you don't want to do now.
Sure. Have you claimed a bug pokemon yet? And do you know if Curious. has?
I have claimed three, but I am going to have chop them done to one each, so I am going to go with a Drapion (Purple theme). Thankyou so much! :D

If there weren't any Apricorns or Pokeballs?
I would try to use honey to attract a few bug Pokemon. Maybe it will attract some.
I'll make a few banners.

EDIT: Here's one! I tried to make my coloring look nice. : )

Hey, that's a smart idea using honey. I didn't think of that even though I use a lot in my Diamond Game. XD Wow, that's a great banner cyan. We'll definately use this! Great work!

Thanks! I use it a lot too!

I think it's wierd how non-bug type pokemon can learn bug type moves. Zubat can learn leech life, which is kinda wierd. And Mareep can learn signal beam. I just think it's strange, did the producers of the games and shows do it on purpose, mistake, or just couldn't be bothered placing it in the right area?

Good point there Tribal Ebony, I am not quite sure to be honest. I actually believe signal beam should be an electric type or a physcic type. I don't think they did it by mistake or because they couldn't be bothered.
Thanks for brining that point up.

Hmmmm. Can I make a topic?
What is in your opinion the strongest bug type pokemon?
Sure. It's already up. Just make sure you stick to it! ;D
Well all bug types have their strengths and weakness, like all pokmon in general. Whethern one is lacking in attack, speed or defense another is strong in sp.def and sp.atk. Not to mention they all look different. XD All differen eye candy for different people. Lol.
But really it depends on what bug type pokemon you need to play a part in your certain team whether your battlig for fun, playing the game for fun or trying to beat the storyline or for competitive battling. But if I had a choice and I had to choose one I'd choose Scizor, Drapion or Yanmega.

Ok! In my opinion, the strongest bug type pokemon is DRAPION, along with SCIZOR and VESPIQUEN. I am mainly picking up these ideas from the Sinnoh region's Aaron of thew Elite 4. Drapion is big, looks scary, can learn strong and good accuracy moves. Scizor also looks scary, can know good moves with high power and accuracy, and is particularly hard to knock out if you don't have a fire type pokemon. Vespiquen, who is my partner pokemon, is prettystrong, in Pokemon Platinum Version and Pearl Version, he has a Vespiquen, which knows 4 strong moves, the best move it knows is Bug Buzz. Other pokemon also come into the 'strong' category.

The strongest bug Pokemon... I think Scizor, the only insect in Overused. Of course, everyone says Scizor, he's just the coolest insect too.
Yanmega is also good, especially with Speed Boost. A few turns out on the field and he outspeeds everyone, and a STAB'd Bug Buzz is also painful.

Very, very true. Scizor is one of the coolest pokemon, and is big and, well......cool.

Imma have to agree with you there tkallab. Yanmega is a pain when it uses it's STAB Bug Buzz while also outspeeding all other popkemon in the battle. Scizor is OU definately and I think because of it's looks and the previous stated fact that it's over used is why many people; including I think it's one of the strongest Bug pokemon there is.

Sure. Have you claimed a bug pokemon yet? And do you know if Curious. has?

Nope, But now that you mention it, I'll take a Caterpie! I'd like to use Scizor(2nd favourite Pkmn) but since a lot of people will do that, I'll do something original and go with my dear ol' pal Caterpie!

Thanks Cyan, it's perfect!
Could you make a couple more of this big ones? And tkallab will(if he wants to) make a couple of those little ones...

There's actually a really simple answer to this. Pokemon do learn moves that aren't match to theit type. So if you look at a Zubat, you'll obviously see that Zubat is a bat Pokemon, and not only any bat, but a bloodsucking bat. So it learns leach life, cause it steals life from another Pkmn. As a matter of fact, I'm suprised GameFreak didn't allow it to learb Absorb/Mega Drain/Giga Drain for the same reason.
There are other Pkmn like this too: Lapras learns Perish Song(cause it is known that some aquatic mammal animals "sing"), Lucario learns Dragon Pulse(cause it can sence emotions, pulses and auras...),...

Hmmmm. Can I make a topic?

What is in your opinion the strongest bug type pokemon?

Well since everyone goes with Scizor(I would say the same if I answered first) I'm gonna go with Armaldo!

Yeah, I'm making little ones.
A Caterpie for dragoniteuser, a Drapion for Curious., a Combee, a Beedrill and a Vespiquen. And a Metapod for the banner maker, haha.

Thanks, but I'd like you to make my with two Pkmn if possible...
So it would look like this:
Caterpie Bug Pkmn Fan Club Owner Weedle
Wait, will this fit...?

Really, honeslty I thought you actually would choose Scizor, but who cares Caterpie is just as good. ;D And that is quite a good, and logical theory, since the moves do relate to the Pokemon's characteristics rather than the pokemon's type.

Thanks I'd like to think so...
Is everyone excited about the "beauty pageant" we're gonna have tommorow? I'd like for all members to participate...
I just gotta think about what I'm gonna draw...
