Not sure if it should worry me that I read Charlottes Growlithe as an*l. Whoops. Oh yeah, I also changed Scraggy to Shiny, would've preffered Sableye but you're right. I would have to renickname him then. I also changed all the stuff back to Steelport, and gave Sableye Will-o-Wisp for that extra punch. Scraggy will remain Offensive entirely. Sableye will turn into more of an entry support kind of pokemon. I also added some more egg moves to Scraggy.
PS: All this great CSS makes my post seem inferior, also all the great detail and work people put into theirs makes mine look like an Onion News Article. Good job to every last one of you ;_; Also good to see another Cowboy Bebop fan. :)

PS: I would also try and do like a collab thing with Master Snivy since we're both from Lumiose, whaddaya say?

She might not look like it, but she is decisively smart and cunning. She may be a bit stubborn at times, but she's real patient to others and situations. She can handle things that makes others break down. You can whittle her down but her greatest weapon will always be logic. Although as a warning, she can be oblivious to others' feelings and can betray you any time. Herra barely trusts anyone with anything, but she's a very good listener. So if you're feeling blue, Herra will be there to listen and give you the most knowledgeable advice ever.

Five Years Ago.....

Before I went to sleep, I made sure to set my alarm clock to wake me up at six, for tomorrow is an exam day and they expect us to show up on time. Also, school is nearly 7 blocks away. Plus, waking up earlier means avoiding the older kids. They usually make fun of me and Madeline for only having a mother. I don't even care about my dad no more, and my mother, she has too many jobs. Sure it's stressing to take care of a little sister alone, but it's fun. I pull into my covers and sleep.

The alarm wakes me up. Today, September 13, is the exam for pokemon promotion for Madeline. For me is an elite exam. So I get up and dressed up. I heated up the food mother left in the fridge and I woke up Madeline. She smiled when she saw me and then got up. While she was doing so, I made sure both of our homework packets were safe in our backpacks.

" I'm gonna get a trainer license, I'm gonna see some pokemon..."

I could hear my sister sing in her room, happy for today. Once she passes the exam, she gets to get a limited time licence to visit the ranch. Of course I didn't go cause I had to take care of her as a child, but the school gave me permission to go with her. I put my own smile on. This would be the first time I can ever see a pokemon, until I'm older to be a trainer. Once we finished eating our breakfast, we stared our long journey to school.

" So you remember your weaknesses and resistances of types?"

" Course I did Herra. Water beats Fire, which then beats Grass, and they beat water."

" How about a Dragon type?"

" Easy. Ice, Fairy, and themselves sis."

" Okay, then, how about..."

That's when I heard the growling. We turned around to see three dogs showing off their teeth at us and they look hungry. I held Madeline's hand and began counting with my fingers. I knew that running would provoke the dogs to chase us, so on three we would walk backwards slowly and then run to a shortcut I knew to drive away the dogs. My fingers showed a two and before I got to three, there was more growling and Madeline let go of my hand. She took off running and the dogs came to life. I threw myself at the dogs but I only took down two. And then they began wrestling with me and the best I could do was avoid their teeth.

I could hear her screams and I could see her run back and forth across the street. The dog was catching up to her and finally I broke free from the dogs. They retreated back and I ran towards my sister. But I had to stop on my tracks, for that truck was coming fast towards...

" Madeline!"

She saw the truck and tried getting out the way, but it was too late. She was sent flying in the air and moaned as she landed on the grass. Then the dog got on top of her. I ran towards the two and so did the truck driver and we went towards them. Except the two dogs came back and I fought them as the driver tried helping Madeline. After what seemed like ages of growling, screaming, and grunting, the dogs retreated. I was bitten bad on my shoulder and tried getting up, but the man carried us both to his truck. The last thing I saw was blood.

I woke up somewhere in a bed with needles in my arm. My arm felt numb, and then I saw her. My mother looked like she was crying, because her face looked wet. I felt numb and could only manage to say one word:

" Madeline?"

She shook her head. Then we both cried. Ever since then, I never had a good sleep.

Once it was her funeral, I saw the truck driver there. It turns out he paid for the funeral and then paid the house bills, and then he asked for forgiveness. My mother said everyone makes mistakes, but I never forgave him. No matter what my mother said, he was the reason why my sister was lying dead in her coffin. She never did get to meet a pokemon. So once the truck driver knew I would never forgive him, he left some money for my mother and drove off. I never saw him again, but it's not like I wanted to. But with the money he left us, my mom could have one job and spent more time with me. If only Madeline did too... But that's why she always hunts me in my dreams.

Once Herra was there, she couldn't believe her eyes. A Torchic was tied by one of her wings to the tree, and a note laid below. It said Whoever finds this pokemon is yours. I don't want her no more. Take care of her stranger. Then the Torchic passed out. So Herra took her home and fed her. The Torchic was grateful and decided to be happy with her. Herra decided to name her Madeline, after her sister's name.

Met: One day while walking home, she heard snickering and laughter. Three kids with their grass pokemon were bullying a Shellos; Vine Whip from Chespin, Absorb from Oddish, and a Bullet Seed from Bellsprout. Herra knew that the logical thing to do was to leave, she was outnumbered. But then again, she had Torchic by her side, plus, that Shellos was so cute. So she stood up for Shellos and summoned her Torchic. Herra wasn't sure Torchic's Scratch would do any good, but then her Torchic used Flame Burst and knocked out the pokemon. The trainers ran away and Shellos was grateful. So the cute pokemon crawled to Herra and wanted to stay, despite Torchic's look on her face. So from that moment, Shellos was known as Buddy.

Appearance: Relatively medium in height at 5'4, Reyna is a slim but fit girl, weighing 124 lbs. Her dark auburn hair, contrasted with her considerably pale skin, is pulled tightly back into a disheveled bun with slight strands of hair left to hang at the sides of her oval face. Her eyes are a quiet, light type of blue and add a certain softness to her facial expressions.

Reyna isn't one for flashy outfits or fashion but she enjoys wearing clothing that she looks good in and thus she prefers to wear a simple, slightly oversized, navy blue t-shirt and a pair of shredded black shorts that stops inches above her knees. For her footwear, since Reyna enjoys feeling comfortable, she's often found in her favorite pair of somewhat dirty, pink high top sneakers. Reyna also wears a small, black backpack to hold her supplies.

Personality: Despite her simple dress and soft expression, Reyna can be a rather outspoken individual. While she certainly doesn't lack tact in social affairs, she has no trouble voicing her opinions and thoughts even if they're unpopular. Appropriately so, her facial expressions are just as telling as her words, often giving a fairly accurate perception of her emotions in that moment. Due to her own sincerity Reyna detests people who lie, or ingenuine with their comments and friendships. She places incredible value on her true friends, but to get to that point one has to build an excellent repertoire with her.

For all of her outwards personality, Reyna can be fairly humble too. She accepts when she is wrong or needs help, and is conscious of her own shortcomings, as well as her strengths. Strangely enough, while she isn't reserved, Reyna enjoys taking a backseat to things. Despite her outspoken personality, she prefers not to be the main center of attention, she'd much more like to just speak her piece and fade back into obscurity. From experience she knows she struggles when she is the focus of everyone's attention and if made to say more than her initial thoughts, she starts to stutter and struggles to find the words to explain herself. It's quite an embarrassing situation for her to be in.

But such a situation is only as embarrassing as Reyna allows it to be. A credit to the way she was raised, Reyna doesn't allow herself to get too hung up on the times life didn't quite go the way she wanted. "Move on," was the jist of what her father often told her when she got hurt emotionally or physically, or when she was whining about not getting her way. Thanks to this, she has the great ability to take whatever life decides to dole out to her right on the chin and keep on going.

History: Reyna was raised in Virbank City by her single father. While it did not provide the most favorable living conditions, Reyna's father was the only source of income in their small family and he worked in the industrial complex south of the city. While his hours were long, Reyna's father was actively involved in her life, and spent as much time as possible trying to instill good values in his daughter and just make her life as enjoyable as he possibly could.

At the age of 8 she was introduced to her first friend, and first pokemon, Rowdy. Her father came home with him one night, finding the young Houndoor as a stray. At the time, her father had his reservations about the situation, leaving his only daughter with a pokemon he had just picked up off the street, but he couldn't find it in his heart to just kick out the Houndour back onto the streets. Rowdy and Reyna took to each other almost immediately, and a special bond was made between the two. Of course, taking in a stray is never that easy and at first, Rowdy was well, rowdy, earning him his nickname. He would destroy furniture and chew on clothes among other things that made Reyna's father considerably more stressed out than he already was from raising a kid all on his own. Reyna's father, himself too busy with work, told Reyna that she needed to start disciplining her new friend or else he would find a more suitable home that could. Obviously not wanting to lose her new found friend, she took on that challenge and passed it with flying colors! The nickname still stuck though.

When she was 10, her father decided to send her and Rowdy off to the Pokemon Trainer school in Aspertia City. For the next 6 years, she attended school and lived in Aspertia City, every so often returning to Virbank for vacations. At the school, Reyna found herself to be a great student and excelled to the 3rd best student in her school. Because of this when she graduated Reyna was awarded with the opportunity of selecting a Unova starter pokemon but due to her rank of #3 there was little choice in the matter. Either way she ended up with the pokemon of her choice, so there were no complaints on her end.

Now, now. A GM has to be more diligent on this matters. Furthermore, you could just type "snip" instead of "blah, blah, blah", seems a tad bit more elegant and formal, no?

But it's true. Starters aren't handed to just about anyone at anytime. I, however, have no reason to force Cabbage since his starters are probably the weakest Pokemon on the cast, moveset-speaking. I can accept his two starters if he manages to convince me of doing so with a logical reason for such reason, but I'd still prefer if people could have just one starter. There are about 100 un evolved mons to pick from in its place : >

Hey guys! Me and Chalifoux came up with an interesting idea.

So, if you decide to ask me to make a backsprite for your character, I will do it! Just send me a picture of what this character looks like for reference ('else it'll suck >.<). If you're using a picture in your application already, that might work as well, but if you do a written description, then you might (read: should) want to send me pictures for reference (face, clothing, etc) to ensure better results. Then, when you're about to encounter a wild Pokemon, after I decide what you will face, I'll make a scene with your character's backsprite that looks like this:

Here's the catch, though: It will only be applied on future battles if everyone agrees. Granted, they're just for a rather esthetical appeal, but they do look nice and give a sense of customization to the whole Wild Encounter thing. If you do not want me to do a backsprite, but most of the other players do, your battle scene, instead of showing a custom sprite, will show Red or Leaf, depending on the character's gender, in order to at least achieve conceptual symmetry.

So think about it, and post your opinions. :D

As a little heads up, me and TSM went ahead and brainstormed the entirety of the first chapter, including the first batch of Pokemon, the first area to explore, and some other gizmos that will catch your eye. This is in no way a thing that should put pressure on you, tho, just felt like I should tell you that, because it is looking preeeeety sweeeet o3o

One little thing I should clear up first: I stated the levels of Pokemon cannot surpass 10, not that they had to be equal to ten, hence why Delilah's Druddigon and Minccino's level equal 8, not 10~ ;]

As a side note, but with an equal - if not more - importance: -Sam, I'm happy lo inform you that me and TSM both agree that your SU is quite marvelous, I enjoyed absolutely everything about it, and am glad to say it is perfect to me as is. The Roleplay Sample certainly brought me back as well *cries tears of joy*, so all in all, I'm more than happy to say that you are definitely accepted and I look forward to any and all of your posts!~
