Welcome to the Sinnoh Victors club revived! The club all about Generation IV. This club is for all those people who love Sinnoh or HGSS, the new Pokemon to Generation IV and all the characters/stories held within! Those of you that have been around a while may remember this club from before; well this is simply the same club remade under joint ownership from both of the original owners. If you were a member before then make sure to join up again and we'll all get the discussions underway! c:

Partner Pokemon: Funsha the Buizel
Reason for Joining: Generation IV is my favourite by far. Sinnoh was the most interesting region accompanied by some of my all-time favourite Pokemon additions! The only flaw I can find with it is the lack of Poison types introduced, but that's forgivable with all the other amazing Pokemon!
What is your favourite Gen IV Pokemon & Why?: This is a tough choice between Buizel, Pachirisu, Buneary and Bronzong... But I think I'll have to go with Buizel. It's a Pokemon that manages to be tough, adaptable, cute, unique, quirky and have a vibrant personality, all at once. I think my love for Buizel mainly stemmed from Ash's Buizel in the anime, but it's a Pokemon I've always loved since and it usually has a place in my Gen IV teams. Such a shame it's so hard to find in HGSS! D: It's not really a strong Pokemon, but I think if you persist with it and give Floatzel a chance then it's a hard one not to fall in love with whilst you're using it. <3

Which Gen IV family learns Safeguard at level 30?

Reason for Joining: Generation IV has been one of the most interesting generations of Pokemon. If you don't like the Sinnoh region, you are missing out. Plus, there are so many strong Pokemon in this generation. I personally love Pokemon Platinum \m/

My favorite original/non-legendary Pokemon would be Togekiss. Awesome Pokemon! Just perfect all around with its wide varity of move set.

But Legendary? I'm going with Palkia. Simply just because he's a beast! Just look at the dude!

Reason for Joining: Gen IV is my second favorite Gen, after Hoenn and Johto tie. It doesn't quite make top pretty much for the same reason as Olli, Johto was the first region I played, but that's off-topic.

What is your favourite Gen IV Pokemon?
Hmm.. I like them all xD
If I had to choose, probably Giratina A-form for legendary, and Turtwig for non-legend. Turtwig I find absolutely adorable, and Giratina just looks absolutely stunning to me, especially the shiny form. c:

I love so many cute Pokemon, particularly Piplup, Buneary and Pachirisu. Ambipom and Drifloon are also among my faves.

Welcome to the club! c: I agree with your thoughts about the generation having new and interesting Pokemon; they're certainly amongst my favourites! Togekiss is an utterly wonderful Pokemon imo, I'm glad someone else thinks so! Do you prefer Nasty Plot or Parahax on it though? ;o And Palkia is cool but now I'm kinda confused why you chose Cresselia as your partner? xD

I like to use Nasty Plot's Togekiss. I just don't like to use Togekiss for Parahax and I prefer it that way for some reason.

Cresselia is a female-only Pokemon. Did you forget? :X Gotta love those Female Pokemon, Latias <3

I am actually growing onto her myself. And honestly I have Palkia in that Water club so I figure I'd avoid using the duplicate Pokemon that way.

I love how Bulky Cresselia is however, and the Lunar Dance makes me want to go to the Moon and dance. She seriously makes for a great musical poem

Partner Pokemon: Mittens the Glameow
Reason for Joining: As far I as can remember, I couldn't give an answer to questions like "What's your favorite region/gen?" until I got really fond of gen IV. Thanks to my Pearl, the only Pokemon game in the main series that I've truly put effort in, I became more attached to gen IV; plus the Pokemon introduced here are awesome and more likable than the others. Oh, and I absolutely like Floaroma Town/Meadow because of the flowers. :3 /extra
What is your favorite Gen IV Pokemon and Why?: Glameow. I've always been fond of cats (and dogs), and there's something in that feline-like Pokemon that attracts me; I believe it's the one that bears the closest resemblance to real-life cats, minus the swirly tail and those appendages or whatever they're called. I really just like Glameow: it's cute and adorable, plus it can be a lap cat/Pokemon; also, although I hate boastful creatures, I find its smug expression to be appealing. xD

As for the Legendary, well, I don't have a favorite, but if I really have to choose... I'd say Cresselia. I like its relation to the moon and it's pretty. :)

For me it's quite an easy choice; my favourite is Arceus. Honestly I don't really like any of the Sinnoh legendaries, but Arceus is slightly better since its able to take on the Poison typing which is something that legendary Pokemon have been lacking since Gen I. But yeah, other than that I love Shaymin's cuteness and Darkrai's power, but I'm not really a big fan of Sinnoh legendaries bar those mentioned. :3

I have to ask, since Generation 1? I don't see a Poison type Legendary in Generation 1 at all :P

Anyway, I'm going with Palkia, again, as an answer I put as my last post. Simply because it's a Dragon and by looking at it, he reminds me of being an ancient Dragon from in the past. I do like Dialga and Giratina(In that order).

Shaymin is cute, but Skymin is amazing. As small as it is, Skymin isn't one to overlook due to its looks!

However, you can now put Cresselia on the list. She is underrated and not loved by many, I have given her the respect she desire. Her Light Screen/Reflect/Thunder Wave/Lunar Dance combo is quite dangerous and causes Cresselia to be the prefect Team player.

I have nothing against Darkrai, his nightmare strength is quite impressive. :X Arceus is cool, and I got nothing against Manaphy but it doesn't have my interest. The Lake Guardian Trio I never really paid attention to, though they make for a great collection. :D

Heatran is ugly and I don't really like it, aside from the fact that he's a Volcarona guy, that part of him is cool. And I absolutely hate Regigigas. With a passion. Regigigas is just plain nasty, ugly, and its Slow Start ability is a joke and he's like, NEVER USED!

Welcome to the club! Giratina is an interesting choice; what made you choose it? Looking stunning is one thing, but a Pokemon has to have personality before it can be truly loved imo and I just don't see Giratina having this. xD So I'd love to hear your thoughts about it? :D Turtwig however is bursting with character; it's a Pokemon I've loved right from the start. It's such a cute, powerful and persistent Pokemon with a very interesting evolution line as it goes from being a nimble Pokemon whittling away the enemies health to being a slow moving powerhouse capable of blocking almost any attack with its brute strength. Certainly a unique and respectable Pokemon imo. :3

Really? I don't think so. xD I just think it has to look good.

And as for the new topic: Giratina, obviously.
As I sort of explained when I joined, it just looks stunning. Plus it's on my top 10 shiny list. :P

I completely understand why this generation would be the first where actual effort was put in, since DPPt was from my experience the hardest games of the lot. The gym leaders and the Elite 4 were significantly harder in those games, and the journey was more challenging than useful, especially with all the things that you could explore. And Floaroma was indeed beautiful. Even though the town was pretty empty, the beautiful flowers gave it quite an appeal, though I think a lot of the towns and cities in those particular games were quite nice.

So... many... choices...
I mean seriously. Sinnoh was just filled with legendaries, and it made me lose most of the enjoyment of catching them, since they didn't really seem that rare anymore.
Though to answer the question, I'd have to say Darkrai. I like how it had some kind of different, darker backstory to it. Now I don't remember if its Pokédex entry mentioned it, and I am just a bit too lazy to go check, though for what I remember from the movie it was quite a loner Pokémon. If it was in the presence of anyone while they were asleep, people or Pokémon, they would have terrible nightmares, which made most people either hate it or fear it, which is kinda sad, since no Darkrai could do anything about it.

So what makes me like it so much, is how it stands out from the others by having a more depressing backstory than most others.

Reason for Joining: Gen 4 wwas my favourite gen in terms of the games and anime also my first main pokemon game is Diamond. I love the Sinnoh games especially Platinum also HG/SS were great. and I would like to discus it with others.
What is your favourite Gen IV Pokemon & Why?: Luxio. Well he is my third favourite pokemon of all time I love his design and if I could have a pokemon as a pet I would chose him. Well I prefer him over Luxray because I don't like Luxray's design still awesome.

Honestly, I don't remember if I struggled a lot with this: it's been, uh, three(?) years since I first finished the league. xD But the effort that I was talking about was actually EV training my favorites even though I don't battle competitively, because I believe those extra points or something can help them, especially with the Battle Tower. Oh, and also categorizing my PC boxes according to type... as well as naming each box. :D First time I did that and now I'm too lazy to do the same to other games. xD /sorryfortherant Yes, yes they were. :)

Well obviously I do, since I had part of the choice in choosing Pokémon of the Week. Though yes, Riolu is a simply adorable Pokémon. I feel sad how it was only Lucario that was shown prior to Diamond and Pearl being released, since I like Riolu so much better. It's such a cute Pokémon, and can completely suprise you when it shows itself in battle. A truly loveable Pokémon.

I like Riolu: it's cute, dog-like, and Aura Sphere is cool even though it'll only learn it when it evolves into Lucario, and also through that other way. Anyway, Riolu is in my list of favorites and always will be.

Thanks I do like shinx since it the pre-evolution. I never knew that Luxio was based on a wolf and wolf is my favourite animal. I like sinnoh league victors and of course Brock. Also Gible is also funny his draco meteor. Also Tiagrio was the name of my luxray solo run of platinum which was also my first solo run.

And Riolu is an awesome pokemon but still lucario is better.

Just look at him he is so cute a little lucario, Lucario is the core in my teams on Pokemon online.
