...Okay, I have just one main problem with the color being blue:

How much it would blend in with the rest of the members. I mean, isn't the whole point of the different username color to stand out from the normal users? If everybody really wants blue, then...why bother becoming a Supporter?

(I'm talking about on the default style here.)

Default styles change every few months. The link colour won't always be a similar blue. :/

...Really? Because in all the time I've been here, I've never noticed a change in it.

Then that's a beef you'll have to take up with Jake who sets the default themes. :P I haven't regularly used a theme with blue links in well over two years though.

I'm too lazy to type it out again so I'm just going to quote myself from the VIP forum where we discussed the colour options. It pretty much covers both points in your post anyway.
Okay then I'm saying I disagree with this.

Now what? 'Cause if you don't say anything about that then there was no point in saying to say so if one of us disagrees.

...why even bother posting if you disagree without saying why you disagree? o_O; Like, if you're giving reasons on the opposite side after I brought up several viable points against it, then I don't care, but...

Well, I originally posted since the questions merited a response. :| I already knew you didn't care about any answers but others might have, since it's come up before.

Why I disagree? Oh, right: I simply think that the colours of any groups should never be changed once they're established.
That said, I'd consider having donated ≥$100 (or simply to tier 5, if you like) a reason enough to be able to choose a colour for oneself.

I already knew you didn't care about any answers
That's quite an assumption there.

If your answer to both is no then I pick "I disgree with this".

If you were going to disagree no matter what my reasoning, so long as my answer was no to both (which it was), then I don't really see that as caring about the answers. :/ Oh well, misunderstanding on my part, I suppose.

What about using different colors for each tier?

And having more than 5 tiers?

I just think that's too many colours. D: It's already confusing enough for a lot of people with the amount of ranks and colours we have now. Adding even more would just be a nightmare for them. There's no reason supporters can't deal with just one. :|

I personally like a bold title instead italics....like:

Username, instead of Username

Unless that's too close to what the mod's titles look like, but maybe the bolded orange would look good....idk just a thought

username

username

Yes, it would look horribly similar. And if people already think supporters are mods, now you guys would end up getting more "help" PM's than us.
And the orange? S-Mods.

That's more to help people telling apart between ranks than anything :\

Well....yeah now that you put them right next to each other, I guess that is way too similar.

Actually, the difference is, that staff have bold names, while the supporters have italicized names. :mudkip;):

He listed them because someone suggested a bold username for supporters instead of an italic one. Normally, yeah, it's not hard to differentiate between the two but if both were bold, they'd be far too similar.

Exactly what I've been thinking. It's not so bad when you're glaring at them side by side for differences but who does that when they glance at the list of who's online? :[ You just give it a quick run through for the staff/supporters that are on (because we stand out obnoxiously XD) and for your friends and that's it. No one wants to spend a few extra seconds figuring out which are the mods and which aren't. :P
