Ive always liked Muk, but ive never used him either...seems to be a trend :D
He does have very good physical defenses and quite the movepool though, really nice!
I also find Ash' Muk on the Anime to be pretty cool
 
Hmm, I have a couple of ideas, but let's give this one a shot.

What Poison-type would you like to see get a Mega Evolution?

What Poison-type would you like to see get a Mega Evolution?
I would have to say Arbok. I would like to see it get a boost to its stats, and it would be awesome if his mega was Poison and Dark! As possible abilites, id say either "Dangerous Fangs", which boost the power of moves like bite, crunch, ice-fang and so on by 20% or "Poison Fangs", which adds a probability of 20% of poisoning an opponent when attacking with a move like bite, crunch, etc.
 
Do you think Poison-type gyms are infrequent on purpose?

I have noticed that Poison-type gyms and Pokemon are rare in the games, and in the anime - nothing - gets poisoned (I have watch the original and I'm working on Advanced Battle) from an attack. Does Nintendo want to downplay poison being something that is good? Or is it simply a lack of ways to create Poison-type Pokemon out of real-life animals/inspirations?

(Er, I guess that could be three questions haha)

Well, since we've been discussing it, I think Muk deserves a mega-evolution. Not much design space for a sprite upgrade, but Muk could definitely be bulkier and not hurt anyone's feelings. A good ability for it could be something akin to Flash Fire/Volt Asorb - "When this Pokemon is hit by a Physical attack, its Defense goes up one level". Instead of any physical attack, maybe have both its defenses go up when its hit by a super-effective attack.

You got me! Honestly though, I like to hear people's ideas about all of them, so I think it's fair to ask in multiple clubs. I like those ideas for Arbok, definitely would make the fang moves more useful.

Also now there are two topics?! Answer whichever you want I guess, or both :P

As for the other topic, im really not sure why GF doesnt do more with Poison types, really. There has only been two gyms and one E4 member, and i think this typing deserves a lot more love. I dont think there is a lack of things to draw inspiration from, i mean look at all the animals that use poison in the real world. A poison type gym would be pretty challenging, since they just love to inflict pokemon with all kinds of harmful statuses. Maybe now that Poison is SE against Fairy, we might see an increase of Poison Type Gyms in the future (hopefully). Also, i feel like the poison type is very nerfed, it should get to be SE against some other type as well, maybe water?

If anything, release of the Fairy-type will keep Poison-type where it is for a while.... unless they make a bad design call. Taking away the new toy so soon would be a bad idea. Heck, they only "recently" nerfed Steel-type by taking away a few of its resistances.
 
I like Arbok getting a Mega Evo and being a Dark-type as well, that would be pretty cool.
I think that Weezing getting a Mega Evo would be pretty cool, giving it better offensive stats. What do you guys think about the Nidos getting Mega Evos? Or Crobat?

Also, they definitely need more Poison-type bosses, considering the only E4 member was one of the few gym leaders, though they definitely did a great job with Koga. He's awesome, and it was cool to see them bring Janine into the picture too.

A more offensive Weezing could be fun to use, how do you picture would it look?
Mega-Nidos would be AWESOME, althogh they are already pretty good.
Crobat i would love to see, but again, maybe its a tad bit too much? Idk, just thinking out loud.

And Koga is an awesome Trainer, definitely!
 
Would have loved Mega Nido[royal]. I mean, not really because I wouldn't want them to further complicate the designs, but it might've been enough to respark Nido interest, and I love a good opportunity...*chortle*
 
Mega Weezing would probably have 3 heads for sure. I'm on the fence about the Nidos, don't really know how they'd pull that off. The Mega Nidoqueen breeding thing cracked me up.

One I would like to see is Mega Beedrill. I like Beedrill, but I think it needs just a little bit of a boost that Mega Evolution would be able to get it over the top.
