Which is, the exact reason why CK and I can't help but to wonder what went wrong in between. Back then, DCC is equally shifty in topic. Sometimes we move from what topic to another, and this will occur at least a couple times per day. Yet, to the topic at hand, people still contribute as much as they can, adding quality to the discussion.
Yes there is sometimes a need for one sentence posts. Yet, it is like writing a book. Is the dramatic effect still there if you use incomplete, short phrases on a consistent basis? No, the effect is loss and it will be considered as a grammatical error then. One sentence post is to-the-point, and is strikingly powerful in tone, or at least in theory, it should be.
On the other hand, we get stuff like "how are you doing <member>? Welcome back!" as one post, then the next one is "oh I am fine ty. And you?" Why, even in simple asking for well beings can be given quality by adding details. "Oh I am fine thank you. I went to do <whatever you were doing> but then ended up <whatever actually happened.> Does anyone have any similar experience?" You know, everything can always be expanded a bit so there's more room and possible topics for other members to join in to participate.
