#15 Balance Between PC And Real Life

Right now I'm back mostly for Minecraft, but my schedule's super hectic and I wanna make a good final year for my undergraduate degree. I used to have a terrible relationship with PC where I felt that I was chained to it, pretty much. I put myself under a lot of pressure to contribute and do a good job with all of it, but not sure for what reason - in foreign policy terms I had no grand strategy. I think I'm in a better place now though, so perhaps I could contribute responsibly to PC in a couple months or so.

When you have a income of 5,000 dollars a month and can pay all your bills, put food on the table and still have plenty of money to have fun without working I don't see a issue. I don't think any women wouldn't want to be with a man just because they don't work. Its about being able to support yourself and your family. Also the statement about being a kid. How is 20 being a kid? I turn 21 next month as well. I have a child on the way in February. I don't see the sense in trying to develop a career or get even a part time job when I am already covered for life. If someone can tell me a reason why anyone would want to work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week when they already have enough of a income and plenty left over each month I would be glad to hear it. Most people I have known hate working and only work because they need the income to support their self. It's not about making yourself feel like you have a purpose or filling in free time. I don't know one person who would rather work 8 hours a day then play video games 8 hours or even spend 8 hours doing other things at home/hobbies.

To go back onto subject though. I think I feel like Pokemon is my Life. I spend most my time awake playing Pokemon. As far as PC I get on daily but I am not as active as I wish I could be with my 10-12 hours free time daily, hopefully this will change in the next week or two. In the end though if I am not playing Pokemon or on PC then the only other possible thing I could be doing is spending time with my family. Overall I am happy with not needing balance and my life though. I have been this way for years now and I am not ever going to change except maybe for the first few months after my baby is born but even then I will be active daily.

Part of my love for work is the self fulfillment I get from my job. I actually enjoy going to work, and I think that even if I got loads of money a month from inheritance, I would still work because I love that sense of developing myself and having a sense of.. spiritual fulfillment in a sense. I'm a videogame developer and I chose to be one because of my passion for art and games. :3

I am not telling you what you should or shouldn't do, but I'm just giving my perspective on turning work into what I love (or vice versa.) Working is a part of my life that I enjoy. I love going to work, I love collabing with colleagues, and feel proud that I can create something that others take pleasure in playing too. I understand if it's difficult for you to wonder why someone would want to work even if they didn't have to, but I'm just saying that in my case.. well.. I do. :3 I rather work 8 hours than do something else because I enjoy my working environment and I have time outside those 8 hours to do all the other things I want to do! Simple!

I think the only thing I would love was that extra freedom of having more money.. just because then I wouldn't have to worry about budgeting as much and do some more "luxurious" things (I can buy organic tomatoes instead of the regular ones tomatoes, for example.) And take spa-trips more often and all that.

But yeah.. different points of view :3 And as a woman, I would want a partner with personal ambition. I personally wouldn't want to date someone who doesn't have that (that doesnt mean that I wouldnt date someone who didn't have to work) but if they didn't want to better themselves in some way (even just by being a better dad staying at home) then that's just.. not what I want in a partner. But that's just personal preference.
 
If someone doesn't wish to work for a living, then that's their prerogative. I know that most people wouldn't continue their full-time job if they won the lottery, for example. Work suits some people, travelling is appealing to others, and not doing much is all some people want to achieve.

To answer the thread though, I don't go on PC all that much. I tend to log in to view my notifications, if I'm honest. Which are scarce these days. One day, I would spend a lot of time on PC, but those days are on hiatus I suppose. Regardless, if I ever do come back into a higher swing of activity, I won't be a massive poster. When I was staff last, I enjoyed working on back-end things a lot more.
