32 inch TV, 720p or 1080p?

The answer is simple, yet different for everyone. I like good quality films, but don't really see a difference between 1080p, 720p or a bit worse quality movies. If I had a wall sized TV, than it might occur to me different. There are also people, who claim to see big differences and they always stick to the actual best. From a technical aspect, it also depends on your broadcast provider's quality or the movie's quality you download to a pendrive, what you will see. I would vote for the better one, if it's just slightly more expensive, though I have a 720p one, that's also called HD-Ready and don't have any problems with it. The cause is just that the more modern one has probably more options and functions, that you might want to use. Of course everything depends on your habits.

It might be a better idea to just compare TV sets in person, I think. What are you planning to buy? Usually, you try to stick with a resolution as high as possible, but picture quality isn't just resolution; resolution isn't everything.

Yes there is a noticeable difference. Although as tuxintuxedo said, it depends on the input; and you can definitely get cheaper models with very good quality. I have an older, lower end TV from 2007 and when I download 1080p movies, I can still notice a big difference and get very good quality from it.

If you have that much money to spare, then yeah go for it. It'll be awesome.

1080p resolution is an order of magnitude larger than 720p. With approximately the same physical size, a screen would have a much greater pixel density, and thus support for a sharper looking image. Of course, your content must be 1080p or larger, or it will simply be upscaled.

I would suggest to of course go for the 1080p picture when buying a 32 inch TV. You may get a sharper, better looking picture but on the other hand I'm not sure how much of a difference you will notice with a 32 inch TV. I've had a 32 inch flat screen for a couple of years, and I don't relaly notice a difference.
