Summer Theme Challenges!

Hello, birds! 2015 is a pretty big year for the Challenge forum and we thought we'd kick off the main event with something simple and fun. For part of this year's summer challenge events, it will include these bi-weekly themed challenges! Have I caught your interest? What does that entail, you might ask? It basically is what it sounds like. For two weeks, you will have a certain theme to design a team around and defeat the Elite Four. However, unlike most themed challenges and events, the Pokemon you choose and why you choose them will be entirely up to you! When posting your planned team, make sure you include why you picked each Pokemon. Whoever has the most creative team that matches the theme to a tee will receive an emblem! And all participants will receive an emblem as well!

Rules
- This is a post-game challenge and you're free to use any game of your choosing!
- All Pokemon are free game. You don't have to catch any new party members for this. You can use that old Aggron you caught in Ruby if you want. This also means legendaries are allowed. We want to allow you to use literally whatever you want as long as you think it fits the theme!
- You are free to attach any other kind of challenge to this if you desire. ie. Making this a Water monotype, a Yellow Monocolor, whatever will still allow you to find a team that fits the theme.
- The only updates that absolutely need to be posted are your team selections with the reasons for each Pokemon and when you clear the Elite Four and Champion. You can post in between updates like training your teams and such if you'd like, but it's not required.
- Be creative! The main purpose of this event is to let your creative juices flow! I'm looking forward to what all of you choose for your teams!

The next two weeks' theme will be Disney! Establish a team based on Disney movies and characters. You can use one movie for your team or a mix of your favorite characters or whatever you fancy. When you wish upon a star...you get a rad team...? 8) Was worth a shot. Please use the same sign up as in the previous theme. You don't have to use the same game if you don't want to, btw.

Solrock: represents the sun
Carracosta: He's a Beach Bum
Beartic: Bears come out of hibernation in the summer, but Ursaring isn't available to me :(
Yanmega: Lazy Dragonflies, anyone?
Volcarona: Obligitory Fire-type representing summer heat, plus moths come out in the summer.
Starmie: Clear summer nights are awesome!

First thing thinking of summer is the sun, so I'll have a sun themed team.
Groudon which summons sunlight.
Solrock because it is a sun shaped rock.
Sunflora because sunflower.
Exeggutor, an exotic palm tree, fits the summer theme. Additionally, it has chlorophyll as ability.
Castform. How can I even think of creating a weather themed team without?
Groudon, yes another one. Because one cannot have enough sunlight. ;)

And yes, hacks are fine. I really recommend using a completed game for this because this theme is only active for two weeks, but if you want to play a full adventure, that's fine too. The theme challengers are meant to be quick, easy fun rather than a full game, but hey, your call. :)

Wailord- Wailmer reminds me of a big inner tube sorta, and I can see them being rubbery feeling like one!
Toxicroak- I used to catch frogs in ny grandpa's backyard with my cousins in the summer.
Whimsicott- In my part of Kansas, we see lots of cotton floating around parks and such, sp I have to include Whimsi lol.
Rosrade- Every year my mom grows two rose bushes outside and I always look forward to seeing them.
Chimecho- Who doesn't love the sound of wind chimes in summer? 8D
Flareon- Likewise, what pet owner doesn't walk their dog, or pet their cat in an extremely bright patch of sunlight?~

Alright, I have internet now and have selected my team! Just going to make a new post to list them since the spoiler in the first post I made was more of an example.

Bellossom - I think of Hawaii when I look at Bellossom, so my Kanini will be perfect for this theme! I mean, who doesn't want to go to Hawaii in summer?
Vanilluxe - Ice cream...I mean...come on. :) I'm 22 and still get excited when I hear the ice cream truck coming down the street.
Yanma - I used to swim a lot at our pool as a kid, and dragonflies were literally everywhere, so Yanma reminds me of that. Yanmega is a little too scary looking, so I'm keeping it as Yanma for this challenge.
Solrock - Summer is hot and sunny, so a sun shaped Pokemon is only fitting!
Braviary - Another staple of summer, and really the only holiday in summer now that I think about it, is the 4th of July in the US. That day just reeks of summer fun. Swimming, BBQ, watermelon, beer, American flag bikinis, and fireworks that totally aren't American. lol
Clawitzer - Because crab legs in summer time. 8) Loading up and going to Joe's Crab Shack.

Vespiquen - Bugs are the most annoying thing about summer, especially when it's really nice weather and you're eating out in the garden and just *shivers* wasps, ugh.
Vivillon - Butterflies, on the other hand, are of the not annoying and possibly lethal variety of bugs. They have really nice patterns (just like the sun pattern Vivillon I'm using) and they don't touch any of your food.
Ludicolo - This one is like all the people you know, who just get insanely happy when it's summer. He can't stop dancing to this amazing summer tune and he's all dressed up and raring to go for a nice hot day at the beach.
Exeggutor - Every beach has one if you've got to believe the movies. Though I'll be going to the beach in about a month and sadly the only thing our beaches have is sand (thankfully loads of it) and no palm trees in sight. Luckily I'm bringing my 3DS, so at least I'll have one with me.
Slowbro - Ha, this one, what a funny guy. School is over and the only thing he'll do all summer is laze about. He's a bit slow this one, but a real bro though. He's up for any party this summer and he'll make sure everyone has a super mega time!
Lumineon - This poor fella doesn't get much time to shine during the year, but summer is his time. He's got a pair of amazing fins and he'll leave all the other fish in his dust- eh bubbles.

So how's everyone's training going so far? I've been trying to raise my team and play some Silver and Gale of Darkness on the side, haha. I'm kind of distracted. :P Thankfully, I already had a Solrock that was trained up and my Braviary was pretty high up too. Vanilluxe was stuck in the middle along with Clawitzer. Oddish and Yanma started off at level 1 though, so that's been my tough spot, haha.

My highest level Pokemon was Munna at level 30 when I started so right now I'm only in the late 40s/early 50s with my team. Though that's actually pretty good considering that I caught/hatched most of my team within the past 24 hours. The only Pokemon I had when I decided my team was Slurpuff and that's only because I didn't want to put in the effort of asking someone to help me evolve another Swirlix haha.

I really love my team though aaaa. I mean just look at 'em.

So far I have bred an Eevee(cause I wanted wish XD) so I have Level 1 Eevee, a random Roselia from my PC, and a Level 35 Wailmer that was an earlier hm slave. Got some work ahead of me. :T

My lowest levelled pokemon was my roserade wich was 24. Camerupt was the highest with 48. Every pokemon is now around 53, wich is good, I guess. Roserade is definitely the strongest member and she has good moves too. The only pokemon that isn't very helpful is pelipper, but he is water-type so he should be useful for Malva.

Most of my Pokémon were well on their way to level 40/50 already, though for the Elite Four rematches in ORAS they'll probably have to be around 80. Vivillon and Exeggutor were the only ones that were still around level 10, but they're catching up fast. I've been trying to keep my movesets themed too. Like Sunny Day, Scald Slowbro, Bug Buzz Vivillon, Attack Order Vespiquen, Solar Beam Exeggutor, Surf Lumineon and Scald Ludicolo. There will always be some moves that don't really fit, but I'd like to think I did an acceptable job :)

Vileplume: Summer isn't all rainbows and ponies, be careful not to step on a vileplume thinking it's a flower. You might get poisoned.
Exegguctor: Nothing better than drinking coconuts under a palm tr- NO WAIT... this is an exeggcutor...
Vaporeon: Relaxing in a nice hot bath with your vapore- OH NO! SHE TURNED INTO WATER!
