Summer Theme Challenges!

So picking a winner for the summer themes was way harder than I thought it was going to be...so I picked three instead! And I'll likely just increase the next themes to three winners as well, lol. So the winners for the most summery themed teams are...

I haven't had a chance to make an emblem yet you guys, again apologies, but I will get to it as soon as I can and award you three with it. n__n Congrats guys and thanks to everyone that played the summer theme! Everyone's teams were really awesome, and choosing three winners might have been a bit much, but...eh! :)

In case anyone was wondering what my issue has been lately, which again I do apologize for, is that my laptop's backlight won't work at all so I'm limited to my phone to make posts and such. If you've tried to edit threads and read a bunch of posts through a phone though, you know that it gets a bit tedious and annoying sometimes. The plan is to buy a cheap laptop sometime soon to last me until I have the money for a new full fledged laptop though guys, so I really appreciate your patience. :)

And here is my Disney theme: Atlantis: The Lost Empire

It really reminds me of Milo. He's a bit uptight, skinny/lanky, and he looks like he doesn't sleep...Milo doesn't seem to sleep, lol. I could see a Watchog in some glasses like Milo's, for sure.

For Kida. I couldn't think of another Water type that I wanted to represent her, I just knew it had to be blue and graceful and Suicune is the epitome of that. Not only that though, Suicune is the version mascot for Crystal and Atlantis relies on a giant crystal for their lives, which Kida has a connection to aside from the general one.

Crystal in mind, Carbink is here to represent the small crystals the citizens of Atlantis wear around their necks.

Probopass represents the big stone faces of past leaders of Atlantis that revolve around the giant crystal.

The zoomers that the citizens of Atlantis ride on look a lot like Relicanth. They're probably way cooler to ride on, though.

Lickylicky- Prince Charming. Don't you dare deny it looks fancy.
Garbodor- Cause all those Disney haters say "Disney is trash". :P i laughed outside when I thought of this one
Yveltal- The whole "save the world from destruction" plot reminds me of the most destructive Pokemon. That and I wanted to actually use my Yveltal in Y. ;w;

Wow, thanks a lot! I enjoyed all the different teams people made, it's amazing to see what a bit of creativity can come up with and how, honestly, so many Pokémon fit into the theme with the right description/reason.
I've made a good start on my next team, I'm just breeding for a nickname-able male (-_-) Litleo so I can start training everyone.

Entei - Beast; yeah, a legendary beast. I think I have an Entei that I caught a while back in HG.
Chandelure - Lumiere; basically a candlestick. That you hang to the ceiling, yup.
Klinklang - Cogsworth; it has cogs, so.
Musharna - Mrs. Potts; uhm, it's pink and it has a trunk (sort of) like the teapot's spout. And the dream mist counts for steam from the tea, so there.
Rapidash - Philippe the horse.

Ah, too bad I haven't seen this earlier. But I'd like to join in on the Disney theme. My team will consist of rather antagonistic characters from different series. I had lots of fun putting it together already. ^^

Malamar – Ursula from The Little Mermaid. The similarities in their appearance are pretty obvious. Also, Malamar is a psychic type on top of the dark type, which fits both Ursula's evilness and her magic.

Noivern – Fidget the Bat from The Great Mouse Detective. Out of all the bat Pokémon, Noivern seems to fit him best, in my opinion. Not just the visual aspect, but also the Infiltrator ability that I'd connect to Fidget's burglaries.

Seviper – Kaa from The Jungle Book. While both Arbok and Seviper are poisonous snakes, Seviper looks more like a constrictor. On top of that, its design seems to mirror Kaa's quirkiness.

Ludicolo – Bushroot from Darkwing Duck. Well, what can I say... Ludicolo is some kind of weird plant with a duck beak. I'd say it fits. And Bushroot isn't actually all that evil either.

Pyroar – Scar from The Lion King. Appearance-wise I would have preferred Luxray over Pyroar, but I don't have access to one, so I'll settle on the fire lion. And since Scar turns the territory into a dry, barren land (however he managed that) I guess it works just as well. (On top of Pyroar not being as mighty as you'd expect from a lion... just like Scar.)

Honchkrow - Magica de Spell from Duck Tales. She's a duck in the first place, wears all black, frequently turns into a black bird (even though that one is probably supposed to be a vulture), she has a pet raven and uses dark spells.

Roscoe is one of the two Dobermans owned by the antagonist [link]. Also, if you've seen this movie, I'm sure you'd remember it for this song [link]. I'm jamming to it right now. :D

This team went through several drafts and revisions. I began with Milotic/Vaporeon as Ariel (The Little Mermaid being my favorite Disney film as a child). I then ran out of princesses I actually like besides Mulan (as Mienshao) and Jasmine (as... well, I got stuck here). I shifted them to animal sidekicks because hey, when I was little, I was fascinated with animals! I still do love them. I wanted to include Aladdin (went through several ideas of Abo as Aipom/Infernape or Rajah as Raikou/Arcanine), but there were so many other Disney films I wanted to mention. Why must teams be of 6?! The Lion King gave me several heartaches for this same reason. I considered using the obligatory Pyroar/Luxray, but also Mamoswine for Pumbaa or Chatot for Zazu. Pumbaa was /really/ close to being in the final draft, but 1) I was missing a mention of Mulan!!!! and 2) I used a Mamoswine recently in HG. I am happy with the final product, but I have to beat the Elite 4. I think dinner is more important, though!
