Umb, relation to Umbla/Umbra (I don't know this all too well, so forgive me if some details are incorrect), which in some language means night or darkness.

But a Toxicroak evolution?
Toxicroak's already double scoops of awesomeness.
A Toxicroak evolution would be like
dodeca scoops of awesomeness. :D

I meant that it could be 3 tomatoes on one vine.
Or it could look like those tomato heads in FF12...

Eh I just like desent pokemon but

Flareon: Evolve to blazeon
Vaporeon: evolves to Waveon
Jolteon: evolves to volteon
Umbreon: evolves to Mooneon
Espeon: evolves to Shineon
(I have no life now....) :-)

Fire starter Eveolve to a Charizard looking Pokemon ( or evolves into charizard ) then this 12 foot dragon
Water Starter: A polar BEar, a Bigger Polar Bear then A mutated Polar Bear
Grass Starter:A gnome with Wooded Daggers ,a woodcutter then finally a Sword Wielding Tree!

And LUGIA EVOLVES INTO SHADOW LUGIA!(i don't know just to mak it dramatised)

This is just my made up pokemon starters for the 5th generation.

Grass:

Brancheer (twig pokemon)
Arborom (strong trunk pokemon)
Willogrend (big tree pokemon)

Fire:

Sparkat: (kindle kitten pokemon)
Kindlecub: (little fire cub pokemon)
Ignipurr: (flaming lion pokemon)

Water:
Wigstrem (water worm pokemon)
Riveatiss ( water snake pokemon)
Hissaqualla (hissing water snake pokemon)

I like the Malicrest idea; it would destroy with Frustration, at least in-game.
Also, Rampardos should evolve. Make him a bit more durable, or something. =/
Poor Banette should get an awesome evo; Dusclops did, why not Banette? (Who is MUCH cooler in my opinion. Hey, it's a soul-stealing puppet of evil. =D)

I don't think these Pokemon need evolution:
Shuckle(The highest Def and Sp. Def, therefore no evolution needed)
Aerodactyl(If it gain more evolution, it will be overpowered)
Torkoal(I don't see why it need an evolution)
Tropius(I don't see why it need an evolution)
Froslass(I don't see why it need an evolution)
Tauros(If it gain more evolution, it will be overpowered)
Miltank(I don't see why it need an evolution)
Only Pachirisu need to gain evolution.

Shuckle(It needs a babylution, Shuckle has the highest Def and Sp. Def, a baby form will lighten up its Def and Sp.Def.)
Aerodactyl(It needs too, but if it gains one, I'm sure it will cause a controversy. Since it is revive from a fossil, so...)
Torkoal(It needs a babylution for some reason.)
Tropius(It needs a pure Grass-type babylution.)
Tauros and Miltank(Tauros and Miltank can share same babylution, but only the right gender will evolve into the right Pokemon.)

I disagree with the eeveelution, I think every type should have the opportunity to gain one.
About the regis-, did you know that ALL regi- are weak to Fighting-type? But Grass-type and/or Flying-type were not weak to Fighting-type, so instead of those types I think a Dark-type would be better...
 
Skarmory is good enough without an evolution.

I would also hate to see Nintendo mess up such a great pokemon by making an ugly evolution or god forbid a preevolution.

Not every evolution has to have every stat go up. You can easily have a Shuckle evolve and have a lower defense/sp def but higher attack or something. And not every stat has to be really increased a lot. Dusclops was plenty good and they still gave him an evolution. They can do the same for Aerodactyl and Tauros without them being overpowered.
 
Frosslass does not need an evolution, a three line pokemon family is enough.
 
Tauros most definitely needs an evo, and it wouldn't be overpowerd very much. It needs a better movepool and it's evo needs an appealing design. I feel like Tauros is just as forgotten and neglected as Pinsir.
