Thats ok..Legends do get cooler in SOME ways, but they are making to many now adays.

I think the idea of a 5th generation would be cool
IMO there's nothing wrong with adding something new
And let's face it, a light type may be basic
But we'll only know for sure once they make it

I see alot of people letting nostalgia get the better of them in this thread about legendaries. The games have only gotten better. I really enjoyed the legendaries of Sinnoh overall and whole heartly await a 5th Gen. If anything we will get a sneak peek of it in the 11th movie when a new poke appears.

I find Arceus's design to be mythical and well done. I await Sugimori's designs for the next gen.

No thank you. I think they've made enough. People will end up getting sick of pokemon. What's next, Pokemon Berlitz? Topaz? Garnet?

Will they ever run out of precious stones? Or maybe they'll start Pink, Black, Orange. Maybe a game based on the anime.

Well, first of all I've to apologyse for my last post since I think I offended some people and my vocabulary wasn't right, but well, this is a discuss in which people express their opinion so I think that u should respect mine, even if I didn't use the right words.

Talking about the topic, I'm also a new-starts lover, it's just that I don't like pokemon that much like to accept everything that gamefreak and nintendo does.
Also, I agree with that idea of "reciclyng era"... I think that what nintendo should do is to keep doing this kind of games for the new fans of pkm (people that grow up and start to watch it and play and don't even think about changing the main plot), and to make some new games for the elder fans like most people in this forum with a whole plot-change, ,just to keep us interested, like, for example, the hack rocket's revenge in which u can play as a team rocket member...
Well, even if the creation of the 5º gen is inminent (MONEY), I think that nintendo should stop first, take a deep breath and think about what would be more convenient for every kind of fan that pkm has around the world...
You may dislike what I said, but it's just an opinion, I'm not saying that this is an irrefutable (I don't actually know if this word exists in English) truth.

the legendary count has risen too greatly, i think that they should leave it to two, if not one, legendary with one, or none, event pokemon

Exactly. Legendaries are so common they aren't special like they used to be. I'm so tired of recycling pokemon. Remember when there was just chansey, electabuzz, and magamar? Now they each have generic babies (namely happiny, how pathetic) and pretty boring evos (though bliss is OK). I'm tired of in each generation a new, super good nonlegendary comes along (dragonite in 1st gen, TTar in 2nd gen, mence and metagross in 3rd gen, and garchomp in 4th gen). The legendary trios lost their coolness after suicune, raikou, and entei. The regis and the psychic trio are boring. Some of the new pokes are really cool (like flygon) but most are just meh. There are like 15 new legendaries in D/P. There are like 30 legendaries now. They are no longer "legendary" in my mind because there are so many. Here's my point in a nutshell: How many new pokemon were there in D/P MINUS the legendaries, MINUS the starters, MINUS the new evos and baby pokemon, and MINUS generic copies of pidgeot and dragonite (staravia's evo and garchomp mostly)? Maybe 40? I'm so tired of recycling. I think pokemon peaked at 3rd gen. I just don't like D/P that much. They even recycled a legendary with the regi leader guy. The designs weren't exactly great either.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Light type? Groan...I think that is unoriginal and kinda bland. I mean light type is just kinda stupid. Clefable used light blast! Meh...I think the types are fine. If they do make a new type, it better not be light cuz that's just stupid. It's just kinda pointless. Lemme guess. Super effective on ghost and dark types. How about the opposite. Hehe. I like the pokemon they have now. No matter what new pokemon come out I still say Mew/Mewtwo is the strongest pokemon ever. So tired of these new, bland legends.

In which case, Dark must be bland because, they are opposite but, same in the way that they must be bland and unoriginal which they aren't because, must things like Pokemon have light and dark types.

Wait, why am I having a rant? These are all just opinions.
Hmm... maybe light could just be a sort of second type for some normals.

By the way, I get your point about the Light Blast and all that there isn't any
attack thoughts for light that come to mind straight away. (Well that don't sound crap)

Is you crazy?
Spoiler:

If there is a Dark, why not a Light? There is a rival for all types!
Light blast is the only stupid move a Light-type could do. I mean, come on! No light types? Nothing would do for a Dark-rivaling type that isn't Light!

Light Type could work, I don't think Light Blast would be the ONLY move that could be thought up.

Besides, moves such as Sunny Day, Morning Sun, Moonlight and SolarBeam could move into that type.

That's exactly my point, except I said Light Beam is the only STUPID move they could think of. And stupid as in so unoriginal.

Actually, im starting to like the idea of a light type. I dont really LIKE the idea of it, but if light type IS bland then so must dark. AND dark type needs a rival like somebody said above me.

I kind of want to see a 5th gen of Pokemon, but I'd like to see better legendaries than the 4th gen's. Creatures like Darkrai, Giratina, Arseus, Shaymin, Regigigas, etc. are just boring and generic to me. I mean, there are so many cooler things to have legendaries be based on like greek myths such as Cerberus, Hercules, Hades, Arachne, Medusa, the Sirens from The Odysessy. Also, would it hurt to get some kind of Beast/Feral type?

Okay, some people wonder why I despise light type. Here's why: Dark type is more like sinister. Not evil, not bad, just more like tricky. How many dark moves have to do with lighting? I rest my case. Light (and the creative eeveelution Lighteon) are bland. Almost as bad as the legendaries in D/P. I've never seen uglier legendaries in my life.

Yeah maybe. Still, I'm so tired of evolving pokemon that were once a single evolution. Take that ugly ball of **** Happiny they made for Chansey. And also Blissey. Last I recall Chansey was a single evo at one point and a very good one at that. Same goes for magmar, electabuzz, scyther, (I would say onix but Steelix is really cool and much better), Mr. Mime, Mantine, Chimecho, dusclops, and the list goes on.

I like the conversation, but can we stay on topic? If you cant think of anything else to say about a new 5th generation, and you want to keep talking about legendaires and types and stuff, then just leave. I know I talked about some of that stuff also, but I think we should stay on task.
