4th Gen A G/S Remake?

Status
Not open for further replies.
If its a G/S remake I'll get it. If its not I'm still going to get the game.

Unless its a stupid pokemon game like Pokemon Dash. (Which probably won't be it because its said to be a major pokemon game)

Hey there. A couple people emailed me this thread and even though I try not to comment on Poke fansites for professional reason, I figured I probably should this one time - especially since the topic has turned to me specifically.

1. I write a few articles every month for Beckett's Pokemon magazine, but it's not my day job and Beckett is not my employer. I'm friends with two of the current editors and both the current VA for Brock and I attended one of the editor's weddings a while back. Not together. We just both happened to know her IRL before any of us did anything Pokemon related. Wacky coincidence.

2. Yes I leaked Pokemon Platinum in the mag a few years back but I do want to state I had permission to mention it, and in fact was asked to do so specifically to create a buzz. I never say anything news-related unless I'm asked to or have permission. I like not being a hobo after all. :-)

3. Just because I have advance knowledge doesn't mean that either I or that knowledge is always correct. One example is a piece I did on PBR. Because there is about a two to three month gap between an article being written and being published, a few english localizations changed and so some names were off. Not a big deal, as the content, guide, and strategies were all correct, but it's just proof that I don't bat 1.000.

As well, sometimes advance knowledge and having products in my possession can be a bad thing. For example, I did two or three articles on the Groundbreakers set for the Trading Figure game. I had permission, I recieved all the pieces, and I went to town. Guess what still has yet to be released to the general public? Whoops. That was a literally last minute change of plans on that end of the Pokemon franchise. Sure, the articles are still valid and will be helpful if you ever get those pieces, but it's still a bit weird to have written about something that never actually was released, you know?

All I'm saying is having faith in what I write is just as valid as being very skeptical of what I write. Especially as there is always someone out there spreading falsehoods or making fake footage in the Pokemon communities.

4. I'm not a witch and I can prove it for I do not weigh the same as a duck. I have been accused of being a vampire before though, but this too is also a falsehood.

So if we want we can believe you while we should be skeptical on what you say? Also are you sure you're not made out of wood? ;) I got the reference.

Lol, OMG! U read what we said. So what if we asked you some things related to this. Would you answer?

He would not. Confidentiality reasons and all.

And let stupid fakes or possible reals start to arise!
[PokeCommunity.com] A G/S Remake?

I have question for Lucard. Seeing as you know something would you please confirm real or fake?

Are you sure Lucard is. Um. real?
I mean, well. A lot of people do this for fun
and make fake accounts to taunt us..
They say all this stuff, then 2 posts later.
BAM:

"Lucard
BOOTED OUT"

Anyway, I hope it's a GS Remake.
Those new Johto Starter figures and
Shiny Pichu + Notched Ear Pichu are
tempting, along with all those Johto
references within D/P/Pt. There's also
the "Johto" data as well, and the fact
that they completely cut us off from
2nd gen when 3rd gen came out
(no compatibility!)

I highly doubt 5th gen already..
Highly. Spin-off seem like the obvious
direction to choose, but they said it's
a majorly talked about game that hasn't
been leaked yet..

So let's point to the clues, everyone!

- GS Starter Figures
- 2 Special 2nd Gen Poke's
- References from 4th Gen
- Reason to reunite 2nd Gen
- Major unleaked game
- Tonnes of Johto speculation

I'm 60% Sure it's a G/S Remake.
The other 4% is a console game, like
Pokemon XD: Gale of.. Lightness?
The 5% is for some anticipated spin-off
the 30% is for a huge disappointment.
The 1% is sheer awesomeness,
better than a G/S Remake:
Pokemon Sparkling Crystal.

Yup.. A PokeCommunity member can dream..

True. Oh well If he is a fake whatever. But that looks fake as hell for the pic.

Never considered the fact that the mysterious Lucard could be a fraud. Anyway, he could still answer a couple of questions. Just for fun! ^,^

Those infamous GSDS Remake covers released way back. Real or fake?

I cant even see the pic you posted todoroki. Give me the URL

I'm so excited for this, you have no idea. I know there's a very good chance Nintendo could be letting me down, but G/S/C brings back so many memories...

On the topic of naming the remakes, I hear a rumour that Nintendo trademarked the names Dusk Gold and Dawn Silver, though that sounds kind of far-fetched to me... They did apparently trademark the name White Gold, and they even own the web domain pokemonwhitegold.com.

Exactly. Like look how many people didn't believe me about Pokemon Platinum until it was officially announcement several months later. I was offended by people saying I made that up or calling me a liar. Plus, I think I was off by a month or two on the release date. Which meant even though I was right about the big thing, I was wrong about a little thing.

Aza - I read a lot of Pokemon sites. here, bulbapedia. Serebii. Pokebeach. I just never really comment. I think I commented once on Serebii about how to get Battrio pogs and once on Pokebeach about the fact that Groundbreakers wasn't coming out for a long time and that was it.

I can't confirm or deny anything related to the announcement on May 10th except that it is Johto related because that's all I've been TOLD I can say. I can't comment on box art, screencaps, corocoro layouts, video footage or the like and whether they are fake or real. Truthfully, I'm as much in the dark about some things regarding this announcement as the rest of you. Part of this is because legally CoroCoro has been given first dibs on a bunch of information, so even when the announcement hits on the 10th, CoroCoro will have new pieces on...the 15th, I believe. So even after the 10th, you'll have to wait for that mag to drop for some details about what's coming up.

I dunno it looks too flat for a 3D model. Make note that this could be completely fake or completely real. Bah. By the 11th scans will have hit so either way the news will be in. And so yeah it will include Johto but you cannot say further. How do we know it is the real Lucard?

.

Oops. Should be WASN'T offended. I totally understood why people doubted and took no offense. I'm just as skeptical every time I hear that a Sakura Taisen game is finally coming to the US (Curse you Sega!).

Also, you can always email me through DHGF.com and ask me if I just created an account here. Or just ask me to say "Purple Monkey Dishwasher."

I guess I can believe you for now. I don't like giving out my e-mail so yeah I dunno for now I will believe you. Anyone else though up for it? ^_^

I trust Lucard is the real deal... I read his post on another site.

https://diehardgamefan.com/2009/05/04/pokemon-a-return-to-johto/

AMG. That Lucard on the site spilled the beans unknowingly.
Read between the lines of this sentence:

. The game's release date is still hush-hush, but I will remind you all that this November is the 10th anniversary of Pokemon Gold and Silver in Japan. So there's more than a slight chance you'll be seeing these remakes hit Japan then.

Do you see what he just said? I'll read the intended part slower:
"So there's more than a slight chance you'll be seeing these remakes hit Japan
then."

Did he just confirm Remakes!?!?!? He said nothing about Pokemon Gold/Silver
remakes, then all of a sudden.. hint hint.

EDIT: Also, Lucard just confirmed it's Johto related..
put them together..

JOHTO. REMAKE.

Yeah that part we know for sure. Anyway I hope the scan is real. Those box arts are boss and all. The map looks definitely legit. Tohjo Falls are in between both regions in a water patch that continues to land. But what intrigues me is that if its real this would mean the map is more stretched out to hold that part and not put it in Kanto...
