What's up fellow Pokemon trainers! Names Zelos, long time Pokemon fan. I've recently picked up Pokemon X, having not played a Pokemon game in over 6 years, I decided X was a good time to jump back into the fray. I have to admit I feel like a totally noobie, so many things have changed and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it all. Slowly but surely, I'm getting there!

I just finished beating the game recently. As we all know that's when the real game actually begins. Currently breeding like a madman in the hopes of obtaining my dream team; and it's not easy!

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to getting to know the community and Battle/Trade with as much of you as possible!

Haven't played Pokémon games in over six years? Whoa, that's certainly a long time. xD Don't think I could ever stop playing Pokémon for that long; it's just too addicting! Anyway, how are you enjoying X so far? I know that you've finished it already, but are you planning on replaying it? So far, I've played through Pokémon Y two times already. Am planning to give it a third run, but I'll do it after PokéBank gets released. Also, I have to agree--X and Y do have a lot of changes, especially in mechanics. Introduction of mega-evolutions would have to be one of my favorites, as well as character customization. How about yours?

If you ever want to take a break, you can talk about your adventures traveling around Kalos in our X/Y section. Discuss what you've discovered, share breeding tips or frustrations, and just have fun!

So, you lost interest around when Diamond and Pearl came out? Was it the games, the anime, or what that made you lose interest?

Yeah I took a break for a while. After I stopped playing the TCG and the Pokemon Center over here in New York shutdown, my love for the game kinda died out. Now that I'm back though I'm loving the game, in short -- it feels good to be back! The changes they have made are MARVELOUS! My favorite feature hands down is the character customization, finally they made my dream come true. I can look stylish and handsome while on my adventure to be the very best! Can you replay the game with all of your current data? Or do you mean starting fresh from the very start? If so I can't see myself doing that, my main focus right now is breeding and EV training my dream team in the hopes of battling every challenger that comes my way!

The Mega-Evolutions took me my surprise, such a fantastic feature that I would've never thought of. Game Freak is doing a great job of keeping the series feeling fresh yet still very familiar.

As for my Sig, I did not make it myself. A friend of mine from another forum made it for me a few years back. She is a wonderful artist!

It was hard but I'm back and ready to rumble! I'm glad I picked this forum as my go to place for Pokemon related stuff, you guys seem like a great bunch! Thanks for the welcome!

Hey Alex, thanks for the welcome.

I think even further back, the last one I played before I stopped was Fire Red if I remember correctly. Like I mentioned in my above post it was mainly because I stopped playing the TCG and the Pokemon Center shutting down.

Awesomepossum. Tons of people are returning to the Pokemon scene with X and Y so it's really cool that you decided to pick up a copy too! If I stopped playing Pokemon somewhere along the line I'd probably get back into it with these new games myself. Who can resist the gorgeousness of 3D? <3 Welcome, Zelos!

I can agree with you about mega evolutions too.. at first I thought it was a dumb idea but the more time passes the more attached I've gotten to it. Admittedly I've yet to even use one but for my next playthrough when I (hopefully) buy Y I'll probably give Mega Absol a try. Such a gorgeous Pokemon.. but Mega Banette's another one of my favorites.

And nope, the link issue is not a bug; members with under 15 posts can't post links or images. It's a safety feature against spammers, bots and the like. But hitting 15 posts is not at all difficult so I'm sure you'll be there in no time. Didn't think it would give you that issue if you quoted a post though.. bleh. :( But luckily it's easy enough to rectify. Anyways, before I ramble on, I'll just end this by saying I hope you have an awesome, awesome stay on PokeCommunity!

What Game Freak has done with the series is simply amazing! The game is still selling like hot cakes and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. The 3D world is gorgeous and it fits the game like a glove, the Pokemon look so good in battle too! All around they've done a great job keeping the series fresh and interesting even after all these years.

I was glad to hop back into it after so long to be honest. I just forgot how hard it is to make your dream team, with the breeding, EV training and IV checking, it's such a hassle but worth it in the end!
