    *Is a troll magnet*

Perhaps you all remember my older OU Platinum team. Well, I decided to take it, strip some of it apart, and put it back together, much stronger than before. I still have some very notable weaks, but I'll fix them when I can make a sane change.

As my usual self has it, no Skymin/Heatran/Scizor on this team, but I might use Scizor since I love that bug, but do not tell me to use Skymin or Heatran since they are the most...abused..fricken things.

    FACE!! (Metagross) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Clear Body
    EVs: 204 HP/76 Atk/224 SDef
    Adamant nature

    - Meteor Mash: Obligatory STAB move here. Meteor Mash really tears a hole in a ton of things, and the attack boost is always welcome.

    - Stealth Rock: The most important move in the game here, Stealth Rock is used on every team. Free damage is fun to have, and with Meta, it should be very easy to do so.

    - Bullet Punch: Bullet Punch is a very useful priority move on the team. It brings a KO to the likes of Gengar and Azelf after a Meteor Mash.

    - Earthquake: Ground/Steel isn't bad coverage, and Earthquake is probably the most used offensive move in the game.

Use on the team: Leading Metagross is pretty sturdy, hitting around the likes of Aerodactyl, Azelf, and others. Bronzong walls me pretty badly, but I can just set up SR and switch. The Sp.def EVs give me some defense against Azelf's Fire Blast and let me fight another day.

Mean Ghost (Rotom-heat) @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: EVs: 176 HP/210 Spd/124 SAtk
    Modest nature

    - Overheat: Lucario check right here. Overheat is just one of those "Hit and run" type of things. It also provides decent coverage with Electric.

    - Discharge: I need some paralysis support, so Discharge is perfect with STAB as well.

    - Hidden Power [Ground]: I never used Reflect a single time when I had this thing, so in goes Hidden Power Ground, giving me some insurance against the obvious incoming Heatran.

    - Shadow Ball: It sucks to lose to Vire when I outright have type advantage, so in goes Shadow Ball to help.

Use on the team: Rotom with Scarf is actually pretty good, seeing as it keeps Gyarados and Lucario from absolutely destroying me. It's still fairly bulky with good stats all across the table.

EVs hit 390 speed and OHKO Azelf with Shadow Ball I believe.

    Aurora (Suicune) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SAtk
    Bold nature

    - Calm Mind: Calm Mind is standard on basically...every single Suicune out there. It bolsters my weak sp.atk and good sp.def to high sweeping levels.

    - Roar: Offers some much needed phazing for the team.

    - Surf: Duh; STAB move.

    - Ice Beam/Hidden Power [Dragon]: Right now I use Ice Beam, but HP Dragon is getting thoughts solely for Kingdra, which feels the pain after a couple CMs. I can simply Roar out Gyara, hence why HP Electric isn't listed (Taunt Versions are outsped by Rotom.)

Use on the team: Suicune has been an abused Pokemon for a while, filling various roles, from stopping Heatran to plain out sweeping. Roaring Suicune helps rack up SR damage, as well as keeping Dragon Dancers from fully setting up.

    [PokeCommunity.com] ABYAY's Yoshi Squad

Sledgehammer (Heracross) (M) @ Choice Band
    Ability: Guts
    EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/6 SDef
    Jolly nature

    - Close Combat: My oh my does this move hurt with STAB, a lot of attack, and a CB. Give me a Guts Boost, and then we'll really be up there.

    - Megahorn: Secondary STAB here, Megahorn is up there with Close Combat in damage.

    - Pursuit: Thunderbolt/Focus Blast/HP Ice locked Gengars, go kill yourselves...literally. You've been trapped and KO'd.

    - Stone Edge: Fliers now have to be careful, even if they have Intimidate. This WILL hurt.

Use on the team: Choice Banded Hera deals with the slower threats that are paralyzed by everyone else on the team. It also bashes the life out of anything not named Gliscor or bulky ghosts (and Megahorn/Stone Edge does a lot to them. Jolly > Adamant here to take down non DD'd Salamence and such; well those that run around 270 speed anyway.)

    Goro (Machamp) (M) @ Leftovers
    Ability: No Guard
    EVs: 108 HP/150 Atk/252 Def
    Impish nature

    - Dynamicpunch: General No Guard STAB, Dynamicpunch hurts. It confuses, which can stall time if needed.

    - Stone Edge: Stone Edge pairs well with Dynamicpunch for coverage and the high crit chance is always welcome.

    - Rest: Machamp is a beastly status absorber, taking hits from Tyranitar like crazy and resting off the damage.

    - Sleep Talk: I need defense while Resting, so this helps. Only severe hax can really mess up Machamp, and if I'm lucky, then good luck.

Use on the team: Four arms, huge muscles, and looks like Goro, Machamp serves as a top-notch Tyranitar counter with the above EV spread. It also hits hard too and serves to be the only fighting-attack user on the team.

The old 252HP/252atk/6def spread sucks badly. The above spread is much more reliable.

your wife (Blissey) (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Natural Cure
    EVs: 252 Def/80 SAtk/176 SDef
    Calm nature

    - Thunder Wave: Paralysis support, much appreciated here. I'm tempted to go Toxic to deal with bulky ghosts, which have been troubling me.

    - Ice Beam: Ice Beam hits those grounds that resist T-Wave. It's also a great move to have.

    - Seismic Toss: 2nd most standard move on Blissey: Solid 100 points of damage here and there, it stacks up over time.

    - Softboiled: Non-Wish Blisseys need this unless they're crazy in some sort.

Use on the team: Blissey is still the most sturdy special wall in the game, and it can take on the likes of Porygon-Z easily, something this team needs to deal with.

    --------

Here's the next version of the team.

Once Rotom is out of the picture, IMO, opponent Rotom can sweep with Tbolt and sball, aid farther if the rotom is specced and has overheat.

I love your Machamp spread and Dragonite considering it has the extra of killing blissey where my Mixmence cannot ^_^

Might wanna unless your dnite is hit and run, reconsider dracometeor cause you're going to be weakening both spatt and att with superpower and draco. and with SR, i doubt youll switch so often

I still stand by that you should scarf that Rotom + speed Lucario actually DOES put a large dent in it with Crunch and so does Gyarados.

Reflect + 3 attacks is awesome @scarf and will allow you to revenge kill those special sweepers that you say you cant deal with currently.

    Something to consider.

well D_A, do note that I NEED to get some para support for it greatly helps the team.

As for Max, Dragonite needs that Draco Meteor since it doesn't really sweep and poses as a hit and run Pokemon mainly.

Might go with Discharge here though and replace T-Wave with Shadow Ball or Toxic.

Just do that. Discharge has nice parahax. Replace T-Wave with Shadow Ball, then just throw a scarf on Rotom.

Okay, I guess I'll try ScarfTom, but EV spread please.

Also...D_A!!!!!! How dare you troll my RMT name. I'm obviously not lala.

Name trolled again >_>; May nukes feel good in thou's face. lol

    Machamp @ Leftovers
    Impish Nature (+Def -S.Atk)
    Ability: Guts
    124 HP/ 136 Atk/ 252 Def
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk
    - Payback
    - Revenge

It really is a personal preference, but Guts > No Guard is always superior on ResTalk Champ, in my opinion. Dynamic Punch is really to hyped up. with Guts and Payback it makes for a very reliable status Rotom counter, if not The Rotom counter.

We all know Blissey are always eager to spam a Thunder Wave, which Machamp will gladly take now. Your attack stat will then be an impressive 495 instead of 333.

If a powerful attack is your concern, Revenge gets 120 power if your hit 1st, which is stronger than Dynamicpunch mind you, works well with Machamp's low speed.

I see no reason to use, or at least try Guts > No Guard =/

I'm not sure on Scarftom spread. (and Anti said Smogon had everything LOL)
Basic regular Rotom Trick Scarf set though is 252 Spa/ 252 Spe/ 6 HP. You could go more bulky if you want.

lol okay, my title name changes everyday due to the GM trolling: Anyway, I have yet to do any changes, mainly because I've been busy like crazy lately. D_A, give me the dang ScarfTom set already when you get the chance.

Maybe a possible bulkier Scarf-tom set?

    Rotom-Heat @ Choice Scarf
    212 SpA / 40 HP / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature / Levitate
    - Overheat
    - Thunderbolt
    - Shadow Ball
    - HP [Ground] / HP [Ice]

Just off the top of my head. May want to dump more Ev's into defense if neccesary.

    Rotom-heat @ Choice Scarf
    Modest Nature (+S.Atk -Atk)
    176 HP/ 124 S.Atk/ 208 Spd
    - Trick/ Reflect/ Thunder Wave/ W-o-W
    - HP Ground/ Thunderbolt
    - Shadowball
    - Overheat

That's the set I've been using with moderate success. S.Atk EVs OHKO 36 HP Azelf, Speed EVs with Scarf outspeeds Skymin and outspeeds Adamant Max Speed Mamoswine after using Trick, the rest were put into HP for much needed bulk.

    - 16 EVs could be moved into speed to outspeed Base 130's with Choice Scarf and Jolly max Speed Breloom without it.

    - The 124 S.Atk EVs are used with HP Ground's 30 IV, so you could move 4 of those EVs somewhere else if you're not using it and still reach the same point.

Timid with Scarf on Rotom seems quite pointless, more so without Trick to outspeed threats afterwards, and/or HP Ground to deal with Timid ScarfTran seeing as that's the only somewhat worthwhile poke it outspeeds with the Scarf and Timid.

Enemy Spec rotom still rapes your team with STABed shadowball and thunderbolt...

Enemy Spec rotom still rapes your team with STABed shadowball and thunderbolt...
I wonder how that is a major worry, I mean looking at the statistics, SpecsRotom is not common.

    | Rotom-w | Item | Other (4) | < 3.8 |
    | Rotom-s | Item | Other (8) | < 5.9 |
    | Rotom-h | Item | Choice Specs | 7.5 | (That's pretty low considering it's outclassed by Leftovers & Scarf by a very large margin)
    | Rotom-f | Item | Other (8) | < 4.6 |
    | Rotom-c | Item | Other (6) | < 8.3 |

Only one Rotom has it as a primary item option, and the other four are laughable appearances as well. If you're going to put SpecsRotom as a viable threat to this team, at least help the man out with an improving suggestion. If SpecsRotom is one of the main concerns, ABYAY's winning percentage is looking pretty good. (Teams can't stop everything in the Dex, after all) You'll see more Bastiose or Blaziken in OU than SpecsRotom. :| (Any form, for that matter)

My apologies for lack of rate, ABYAY, I couldn't stand here letting a 'SpecsRotom WHOA' become a huge concern.

Oh, and ABYAY, your titles are awesome. ;3

One thing I do need pretty badly is a ghost resist, as well as something to hurt non HP Fire Celebi...CB Scizor > Meta possibly? I could also use additional paralysis support.

(and Anti said Smogon had everything LOL)

Unbelievable lack of an ability to catch the sarcasm or the troll attempt. I mean I thought "HEIL SMOGON" or "chaos is my God" gave it away but...lol

As for the team, I like it, but it is REALLY slow. I mean scarfers don't even really count as speed since they don't DO anything, and ditto on Aero really. I don't know how much it bothers you, but your team is really easy to outpace. I think Subroost Zapdos could be a HUGE problem (and it can come in on a lot of this team). I would take out Aero since I don't see anything making great use out of SR (besides maybe Dragonite; I'm not familiar enough with it to know). Even then, a SR suicide lead for one pokemon seems a little useless. I would replace it with something to better deal with Zapdos and friends.

Also a formatting note, it would probably just be easier to explain the EVs and move choices in a paragraph description. This way is very cluttered, and that's with the double spacing.

EDIT: Not like it really matters, but Smogon has made almost no platinum upgrades to its strategy dex yet, so it's kind of stupid to even bring up a new Rotom form lol.

Well, like I said, I need something that serves to deal as a ghost resist (to handle Rotom) and I guess Zapdos from the looks. However, what to use is a hard debate. I love Aero in stopping other SR leads and setting it up itself (who doesn't like free damage?), but if it's for the better, I guess I could opt to get something that can deal with both of those threats.

As noted before, paralysis support greatly helps the team.

Unbelievable lack of an ability to catch the sarcasm or the troll attempt. I mean I thought "HEIL SMOGON" or "chaos is my God" gave it away but...lol

I think you are hte one with the lack of ability to catch sarcasm. I obviously knew htat was a troll... just an annoying one that I can use sarcastically as a joke. Kapish?

    On to the team...

One thing that stops both Oventom and SubRoost Zappy is *gasp* Blissey. You can use it to fill in as a wall against Oventom and SubRoost Zappy, T-Wave both of them, and Seismic Toss breaks Zappy's sub (I think) which means you can outstall it. I would go Softobiled/T-Wave/Seismic Toss/ Toxic. I would go with Toxic there, because, as you said, CM Suicune can easily destroy with 2 CMs under its belt. Toxic can help wear it down. Now... where should he go? I also notcied that you were considering something to hit Non HP-Fire Celebi... I think I found of a good option that might work...

    - Replace Aero Suicide lead with either CB Scizor or Meta, depending on who you want.
    - Place Bliss in the team, taking over CB's old slot.
    - Instead of Machamp, run the following:
    Breloom @ Toxic Orb
    Jolly Nature
    252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 6 HP

    Spore
    Stone Edge
    Mach Punch
    Focus Punch

DESTROYS T-Tar, serveing as a great counter. This thing also takes a large chunk out of most teams if you use it corectly, since most ppl expect SubSporePunch.

    So team would then be:

CB Meta/ CB Scizor( preferably Scizort)
    Scarf OvenTom
    Wish Vappy
    Bliss
    Breloom
    MixNite

I can't see anything besides the possibility of Gengar whopping this, but if you give Scizor Bullet Punch/Superpower/U-Turn or X-Scissor/ Pursuit or Night Slash, Gengar isn't a problem at all. Oh, Bliss also walls it.

I don't understand how Breloom counters Tyranitar when CB Stone Edge 2HKOs easily. Sure, it resists all of its attacks, but Breloom has the defenses of a paper plate. I know Mach Punch deals a huge amount of damage, but Tyranitar can just switch and proceed to knock out Breloom next time.

However, about Blissey, it's a potential try, but SubZappy outstalls Blissey, not the other way around. It can Sub on expected Toxics or Roost on Seismic Tosses. If I do run a Blissey, it'll be running Thunder Wave anyway seeing that my team is slow and begs for para support.

I do respect your opinion on the Breloom thing, but it's just not bulky enough for me to use. I need something that can pretty much threaten it a lot until it's weak enough to bring down by something else.

    Team modified some now.

Toxic I put on that set mainly for CM Suicune, who you say can give you problems.

I was looking at your new team, and it is pretty good IMO. Moving Meta up to the lead and bringing a CB Lax isn't too bad of an idea. Granted, it doesn't give you the para support that Bliss does, but it can stay in longer than Bliss, and can actually do some considerable damage (and outstall SubRoost Zappy while at it).

okay, haven't done any changes, but has removed the "Snorlax" for an actual one, picture-wise.

I've found a slight Pory-Z weakness on my team unless I can paralyze it.
