Hi everyone. Im new here, so if my thread is not where it's supposed to be, please feel free to move it :) Anyway, I was just wondering if its possible to get the event pokemons here in the philippines. Since I plan to start having a collection and all.

Hm, I'm actually not sure, but event Pokemon are distributed on a per-region basis. There are a few events going now and coming up in the near future--the Hoopa event coming up is America-only, and the Zoroark event going on right now is in America, Europe, and Japan according to Serebii, but I'm not sure if it's available in other places too.

Any players in the Philippines out there who can answer this?

They say Hoopa is available as a code event, it is given if you purchose those expensive TCG sets until the end of November this year(?). But make sure to have a check which stores are participating the distribution.

I know it as I've been pestering a friend from PH to get me a Hoopa, which I failed. Lmao

Here in the Philippines, our 3DS' and games' region is called "Asian" but so far, I can also download US Mystery Gift events so I can download any US events via serial code or Mystery Gift. Also, our eShop is US so I can buy and get stuff through the US eShop market, or whatever it's called.

I doubt we here in PH can participate in the upcoming Hoopa McDo distribution though. :P

If your 3DS is North American (x.x.x-xxU in system settings), I -think- you should be able to access any events that are distributed via Nintendo Zone, as it only requires you to connect to a Wi-Fi access point with a certain SSID and, in certain cases, a certain mac address as well. You can change settings on your own router or on a wireless card you use to share your computer's internet via an access point and trick your 3DS into thinking it is connected to the Nintendo Zone hotspots from America that have the event.

Like the Hoopa event happening right now, as long as your 3DS is North American and you connect to an access point named "McDonalds Free WiFi" that has no password on it, you should be able to download the Hoopa via in-game in Receive via Internet option in Mystery Gift.
