Admin: Dream or Nightmare

I seriously dont dream of being an admin here. I may occasionally bellyache about things and speak my mind on how I'd do things If I had power here, but I really don't want it here.

Even if I were given admin by some strange coincidence, I'd probably be excluded from all the staff fun anyhow. (hell I'd be too busy doing my job to care about it anyways) XD

I rather be a PC supporter than a admin(although I like to be a mod, but the chances are slim). An admin has a lot of responsibilities, which I tend to avoid it. >_>

I wouldn't want to be an admin. I would spend most of my time on about 3 forums here and not go anywhere else in the community.

I'd probably resign, since I'd have absolutely no clue how to be an admin here. If I had to do it, I suppose I'd have to stay on PC 24/7 until I was sure that I could carry out all the duties and such confidently ^__^

If I was an admin on PC (with some sorta power) I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I'd have to find something to contribute with.

If I was an Admin, the first thing I'd do is remove that space where a usertitle is supposed to go. other than that i'd just go and do my normal thing and provide feedback and my insight into whatever staff matters are being discussed.

On -this- forum? I'd shoot myself. xD
I'm already admin and owner of AHF... and that's hard enough, even working with my best friends. xD

I would hand the position over because I wouldn't be able to handle it. I'm not on enough so, yeah.

Urhh. Well, tell Steve that NO I DUN WANT IT TAKE IT BACKKK~

I'd rather be a Mod.

hey people, this is andinator and this thread is about what you would wanna do if you suddenly became an administrator of PC. what would be the first thing you would do? what would you change in you profile now that you could?

I'd never wanna become a mod in the first place.
If I wanted to change something in my profile, I'd rather donate, and I think when you donate you get that ability, if I'm not wrong.
I don't have enough time to spend behind being a mod.

Edit :
Hey, a stupid question: do you get paid to be a mod?

Yes. This is how I can afford that mansion and the twelve cars out in back. And why I dropped out of college. Because I'm a mod on a POKEMON FORUM! BEST JOB EVER!!!!!!!!1111 :D

And you don't get paid to be an admin. You just have to sign the paychecks and do all the work, while the mods get their money. So why would I want to be an admin?

...

Okay. No seriously. I like being a moderator of my two little sections. There's a lot more responsibility to be an admin, or even a S-mod, and I don't want all that on my shoulders. I wouldn't be able to handle the work that comes with the "Admin" title on a forum the size of PC.

And no. We don't get paid.

Absolute nightmare for me.

After seeing what becoming modded on a pokemon forum has done to some of my closest friends here, there is no way in hell I would ever even consider taking up a staff job. Plus there's the whole power-hungry thing that I've been noticing with a few people lately (not just here, but on several online forums).

It's not that I wouldn't be able to step-up and take responsibility, it's just that I wouldn't want to. There's no doubt in my mind that I'm not just as qualified to do so as some of the other people I've noticed getting promotions lately, but I'm perfectly content for just being a regular member for now :]

Resign. xD;

I had to take so much bull on another fairly large forum (PFU) simply as a moderator, but I can't imagine what it'd be like to be a couple of steps higher up on the staff ladder on a forum at least thrice as big. ._.;

This basically sums it up. I admin another forum and mod two other forums so... admining something as big as PC would be hell. I would just... resign and continue to be a supporter.

I mod on three other forums. Umm...if I were an admin here, I'd definitely resign. There's people like me that are reporting things every which way, and I wouldn't be able to keep up with any of it.

Eh I'd abuse a few powers namely the name change feature, run a muck with large avatars and then resign. I would love to be a moderator, but an admin is just a little too much for me...

Hey, a stupid question: do you get paid to be a mod?

Well, it varies. Though the supporters think that they're paying for the community, they're really helping us keep our jobs. Without them, we wouldn't be here so they are the prime factor in keeping the community together.

For every thread I lock, I get about $1.50.
For every infraction I hand out, I get about $6.00.
For every time I warn someone for a random thing that's against the rules, I get the satisfaction of warning said person(?) and about $3.00.
For every rep bar I have by the end of the month, I get $5.00. (As Alter Ego pointed out; I haven't been around long enough to know this yet.)
For every time I legitimately ban someone, I get $8.00. (As Alter Ego pointed out; I haven't been around long enough to know this yet.)

lolminimumwageforme

But for every moderator, it really varies of how long you were here modding. As per being an admin, I'm perfectly fine with being a moderator right now.. since I only became one about a week or so ago. But to answer your question, yes, yes we do get paid. Pay checks actually get mailed out tomorrow in case you were wondering. :]
