Aeredactylite or focus sash?

    I'm not sure which is better. Aerodactylite or focus sash. Both seem fairly good. It just depends on what pokemon im fighting. Somehow i keep facing garchomps that outspeed even mega aerodactyl with full speed evs. Then im like....um....wish i had a focus sash.

    With the focus sash sometimes things like tapu koko outspeed u.
     
    Unless you want to run some sort of suicide lead set or are thinking of using another mega, Aerodactylite is generally the better choice, as the sheer power of Mega Evolution greatly outweighs the one-time benefit of Focus Sash.

    Those Garchomps are likely Choice Scarf sets. Either that or you have a 0 Speed IV -Speed nature Aerodactyl. Probably not the best idea to keep it in on one anyway.
     
    Mega Aerodactyl gets a +20 stat boost on both Defense and Sp. Defense which kinda compensates for the use of Focus Sash. Not only that, but you get the Speed and Attack stat boosts which I think are worth having over using a Focus Sash.
     
    Focus Sash only makes sense when you pair it with a glass cannon. Basically something that usually doesn't take a hit well, but still needs ways to boost itself. For example, you could give a Focus Sash to Minior which can take that extra turn to set up a Shell Smash allowing it to wreak havoc on your opponent.

    The Mega Stone should usually go to your main damage dealer. The stuff that either gets an immense boost in its offenses, or enough of a boost in its defenses to set up and wreak havoc. Popular examples are Salamence and Kangaskhan who are just incredibly broken really good in those battle facilities.

    Imo Aerodactly doesn't really fall under any of those categories. It doesn't really have a good boosting move and its offensive capabilities in Mega form aren't that great either. Maybe a Life Orb or a Choice Band might be a better choice, considering that it is pretty speedy by itself. Just be aware that it doesn't really like getting hit.
