We will start this with a prelude. A prelude that is likely much longer than you are accustomed to.
    _______

Name: Hello there! I'm Arylett Mourmedy Charnoa. This name is completely original, belonging to no character but myself. You can call me Arylett, because that's the first name. Or you may call me Adele if you'd like.

Age: I'm just your not-so-typical 22 year old.

Gender: And I am a Female. Physically, mentally, in every sense of the word.

Species: Physically, I am a Human. However, mentally, and in worlds besides this one that allow for it, I am a Fox Valstaen. These are anthropomorphic mammalian creatures. This is a quick sketch of one here. (Design still being worked on.) In the world of Pokemon, I portray myself as a Braixen.

Appearance: Universally across all forms, I have a petite build with a short height and a moderate weight. My body is tan, and I have dark curly hair, glasses, a necklace, and a red flower (known as Aethel) in my hair. As a Human and Valstaen , I am 5'2". I also typically wear lots of red.

Personality: Right now, I'll be completely honest with you. I am a peculiar individual. (I know, you could tell, couldn't you?)

Typically, I'm quiet and withdrawn in all facets of life, including the internet. Although I'm more outspoken here and tend to be long-winded. I usually have a serious demeanor and am simultaneously capable of a unique brand of quirkiness. This is because most internet humor doesn't even make me crack a smile, but I still revel in my own sense of humor and make myself laugh with silly things I say.

Despite sporting crippling anxiety, low self-esteem, and a huge fear of being negatively judged, I am greatly passionate about any project I undertake. I am a woman full of purpose and will for accomplishing my goals, though I often lack clear methods to actually make them happen. As a result, I can appear flighty and scatter-brained. Often, I'm governed by whatever emotion and interest I happen to have at the moment, so I'm not very good at planning ahead. But my brain is constantly improvising and full of ideas, because I believe myself to be nearly pure creativity incarnate. To sum it up: I know where to go, but I have no idea how to get there.

I'm generally a very emotional and sensitive person, and I don't like to hurt others. At all times, I try to be as polite and empathetic towards the problems of everyone as possible, but sometimes this can fail because I am also full of many negative emotions that I constantly have to control. Don't be afraid, though. I'm really quite nice. Even if sometimes I unintentionally may come off as pretentious.

    Miscellaneous Facts:

    • I am a long time Pokemon fan! I have been around since the halcyon days of Generation I, though my first games were Generation II as I was introduced to the series through the anime. My interest in the series fluctuates. Sometimes, I'm super into it. And other times, I don't think about it much. But I doubt I'll ever stop keeping up with it. I always am drawn back to Pokemon by the monster designs and imagining what my perfect Pokemon team would be if I were a trainer. (As well as imagining myself as a Pokemon.) It is an interesting series with loads of potential for creativity, and I love the template they give us to play with.

    • My favorite Pokemon is Braixen. (Or Delphox, depending on my mood.) I feel it fits me perfectly. As a trainer and if I were a Pokemon. It looks a lot like the sort of thing I'd be. A sort of gracefulness, but at the same time, looking very youthful and still not being fully acquainted with its own skills. It is also very magical, being a witch girl. And it is a fox, which overall fits my personality. (I've always had an affinity to canines.) It is because of Braixen fitting me so well that I changed my fursona from a dog to a fox. But I don't see myself as a Braixen because it is my favorite. It is my favorite because I see myself as a Braixen. My old favorites were Vulpix (which did fit me a lot, but didn't quite feel right due to evolving into Ninetales) and Growlithe/Arcanine. (Not fitting of me at all.) I tend to make things my favorite if I can relate to them, not make myself things that are my favorites.

    • I am an Experienced Roleplayer, with 12+ years. I am quite skilled and capable at this craft, and enjoy a good epic well-crafted roleplay. However, this doesn't mean I like walls of text roleplays full of novels every post. I believe a good roleplay can have quality just having a single paragraph each post. It all depends on the story, the character, and the skill of the players. Of course, I still have much to learn about the art of story telling. I'm currently making many breakthroughs in learning new things.

    • I am also Creator and Chief of Operations of the Aelita series. This is a special original story/roleplay I've been working on since 2008. Lots has happened. It's always been something I've worked on with one other person. My first partner disappeared off the face of the earth and I was partnerless for several years. Now, my fiance is working on it with me. (He does things like geography and throwing scientific facts at it to make it make more sense) I have reworked it more times than I can count, but I believe I'm getting closer to my absolute vision of it. I am very passionate about the Aelita series and find it to be my most important creative project. It is a very elaborate world that I am constructing. Valstaens are an original species from it. Feel free to ask questions about this! I love to talk about it and could blab on about everything I've come up with for ages.

    • I am also a BIG fan of the video game series Xeno. Xenogears, Xenosaga, and Xenoblade. These games, though I've played them recently within 2014, affected me greatly on an emotional deep level. They caused me to make many important realizations about myself, and grow as a person. (Mostly just Xenogears and Xenosaga - I'm in the middle of Xenoblade right now) The characters in Xenogears and Xenosaga are my absolute favorites in the history of everything. (Especially Shion Uzuki, who is my current avatar) Xenosaga is my absolute favorite video game series. Most people will probably have no idea what I'm talking about because Xenosaga is kind of a niche series, sadly.

    • In fact, I am Chief of a grand scale Xenosaga roleplay project that aims to create the next three installments that should have happened in the series, as well as creating a website which has plenty of resources for fans of the series. This project is as important to me as Aelita, but is a much more recent thing. Right now, we're working on a kind of interquel that connects Xenosaga III and our version of IV featuring mostly our original characters. It sounds bad, I know. But we're trying really hard to make it good!
    • Favorite Color: Red. This is important, because "Arylett" essentially means "red." Red is one of the integral parts of me. I don't know why that color resonates so deeply with me, but it does.

    • I am a Non-Human Fan. I prefer non-human creatures to humans, mostly anthropomorphic ones. You can say I'm a type of furry, but I don't like that title. It also sounds ridiculous to me. Later on, I'll come up with a better name for it. But for now, you get Non-Human Fan.

    • I am a JRPG Fan. I love JRPGs of all sorts and story-driven games. I'm not too interested in any other type of game for the most part though, as I feel they are pointless. As I said, I need to be driven by a sense of purpose. To earn things. And I like these games because I have to earn the story through playing. Also, I do not have the attention span to sit through a movie or television show much of the time, because I often get overwhelmed (if it's serious media) or jittery. (if it's not all that serious) Having chunks of gameplay helps break it up and satiate my impulse to take action. However, I also have less of a tolerance for gameplay than I do story. Too much gameplay, and I get bored because it gets repetitive to me quickly. A good ratio for a game for me would be 60% story and 40% game.

    _______

It is likely that you skimmed through that to find interesting bits. I've been online many years, so I know the inevitability of posting anything longer than a paragraph on the internet. That's all right though, I do it too. Whatever you skimmed (or if you actually read it completely, in which case, color me impressed) that you found interesting, ask away about it! I wish to begin communications with the people of these forums.

Just one thing. You may notice I haven't mentioned my meat people life. (Which is what I call real life.) That's because I find it to be woefully boring to discuss and don't really consider myself to fully live there anyway. You can ask questions about that if you want, but the answer will likely be brisk and not as colorful as my typical way of elaborating things.

This question is kind of boring, but I must ask it. If you had an opportunity to become a moderator here, would you? And what section would you most enjoy modding on PC?

Honestly im glad to know more about u and i dont think i have any questions cause your "short" prelude there answered all of them :3
Although i am also a " Non-Human Fan" due to my beliefs which can be quite strong. :)

Well i got a question and its not big or anything but in your avatar why arent you smiling? ;)

What would you say is your favorite Pokémon generation?

If you're into JRPGs, can you name any you've played recently other than Pokémon?

That's not a boring question at all! I find it a rather interesting one, particularly since I was once a moderator of another forum several years ago.

As I haven't observed this place long enough, however, it's not something I can answer for definite. That and I'm still soured from my first and last experience from being a moderator of a forum, which was honestly very draining and stressful. I don't believe any other place could compare to the amount of stress that one gave me, however. And the call of being a moderator in any place is always tempting to me, because I like having duties and doing work like that. It makes me feel like I'm worth something. I have a natural urge in me to keep order and clean things up. So I would have to say that I really don't know yet. I'd have to spend more time here observing how the current moderators operate and the users, and feeling like I actually have a connection to this place. I wouldn't want to be a moderator if I'm not really feeling like a part of this community, would I?

If I were one though, I'd probably enjoy moderating the Forum Games. That's always where I gravitate towards, and areas like that don't tend to be problem areas in forums. You don't get a lot of the stressful situations that can occur because of the casual atmosphere.

Or perhaps Roleplay, because that is what I was once a moderator of. But only if I knew that section well. Right now, it's a bit of a mystery to me.

Yes, I thought the details might cause people not to have any questions. But sometimes, details can cause more questions. I guess it depends on the person, hee.

Glad to have another Non-Human Fan though!

Now, in my avatar... the reason she (or me, if you want to see me that way. She is very similar to me) is not smiling is because I wanted her to have a more serious look when I drew her. I've already drawn plenty of things with smiles, and I just wanted to practice a different facial expression. Also, I feel that serious look reflects my general attitude. It's a kind of skeptical, confused look. It's pretty much how I feel most of the time.

Also, it kind of makes me feel confident and more so like I can be honest. A smile would just make me act artificially happy all the time. Isn't it strange how I'm influenced by my avatar to behave a certain way?

What would you say is your favorite Pokémon generation?

If you're into JRPGs, can you name any you've played recently other than Pokémon?
My favorite generation is Generation V. It has this indescribable quality that the recent one lacks. Whilst I still very much like VI due to how it has streamlined Pokemon significantly and made everything 3D, it doesn't have the great story of B/W, nor those little touches. (Like Audinos and shaking grass.) Generation V made me feel very invested and involved. It had the best story (besides Chrono Trigger) with a silent protagonist I have ever seen. I felt like I WAS the character, and got very close to my team. Unlike how I play most Pokemon games with detachment. Then the ending... the ending of the game blindsided me completely. N was such an interesting character, and I really enjoyed battling him, and seeing his strange attitude.

And the unique decision to include only new Pokemon in the first installments! I LOVED that. That's how I felt each generation should play out. Forcing you to try out new ones rather than rely on old. It was fascinating, discovering all of these new species and how they worked in battle. There were a lot of gems in Generation V. Lack of HM usage was also a huge plus in my book.

Then there was the music... the fantastic music. Generation V had such great music. The best I've heard in all of Pokemon. It just has a special place in my heart even though I didn't play it as much as IV or VI.

For the second question, all the games I ever play are really JRPGs, so I've played quite a few recently. Arc Rise Fantasia, Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Symphonia 2, and now I'm on Xenoblade. (Though my fiance plays that much more than I do, because I can't stomach the gameplay as much as he can. It's very complex and requires a bit too much quests for me. I usually just watch the cutscenes) Xenoblade is a fine game, and a worthy installment in my favorite Xeno series. :3

Lol i understand completely! Haha ya i can definately say im a non-human fan eventhough i do have a large amount of friends that are human lol and myself i find many flaws in the human race plus other species have better qualities and not so many flaws lol.

I understand why you gave your avatar the non smile lol its does kinda reflect confidence and i do picture the avatar as u so thats why i was asking lol. I always have looked how the avatar influences the people idk why just intrigues me. So ik u love Braixen and Delphox at times so what is you favorite pokemon type and do you read in real life? Sports? Different areas of study? Movies? Haha

Well, it isn't really fair to compare other non-sentient species to humans. They would only appear to have more flaws because non-sentient species are ridiculously simple in comparison. That's one huge detriment, in my opinion. I'd rather keep my human brain than lose it any day, even if it means having a human body. The more complex something becomes, the more flaws become apparent. I am moreso a non-human fan of species that do not exist - sentient non-human creatures. Unless that's what you meant.

I don't mind being pictured as her. That is why she's my avatar. I am glad to see you understand. :3

My favorite Pokemon type is Psychic. Or sometimes Fire. I like Psychic because of the powerful, graceful image it projects. Fire I like because it is typically very explosively powerful with its attacks. All of that flash and pizzazz. I find using a Fire-type attack to be one of the most satisfying things in a Pokemon game, more satisfying than using any other type of attack, which feels very weak in comparison.

I don't read anything but on the internet, and nonfiction only for the most part. Reading isn't something I have an ability to focus on, and I am not a fan of books with stories due to the fact that my brain cannot create mental images of things very clearly. I'd rather stick to things that I can see - that way, my limited head doesn't have to do the heavy lifting.

Sports aren't something I do either. I am very physically weak. Working on fixing that a little by biking, but that's really the extent of what I do.

I don't study much anymore either. Kind of gave up on schooling due to the fact that it requires ridiculous amounts of money and I can't handle working and school simultaneously at all. But I suppose what I do study on my own time is art techniques and a bit of graphic design. And I have remnants of knowledge from free college level courses I took in high school. (A psychology one.) Whether or not I'll do something with that knowledge remains to be seen.

Movies... ha, my answer to these questions will make people think that I'm rather limited in my interests. Well, that's the truth. It is difficult for things to appeal to me. I don't watch movies much either. They're too short for me to be satisfied and most of the ones out in theaters are filled with cliches I've seen several times. I prefer TV shows, because with the episodic structure, things can be much much more detailed. Also, I'm far too jittery to have the patience to sit through something for two hours. Episodes are easier to handle because they happen in short bursts, but make a world much more detailed.

Thank you for so many questions! Hee, it was fun to answer them.

    Hiya, Arylett.

The frequently asked question for artist types... When did you first start to seriously draw?
Did you ever portray yourself as a Pokemon besides Braixen prior to Gen VI?
