    XY & SM have been heavily influenced and hinted at the Kanto region for nostalgia purposes but do you think GF will push out a re-vamped Generation One game (instead of the highly anticipated Sinnoh remake or Alola Sequel)? Why or why not? Any thoughts and opinons? Did you enjoy Kanto's high influence?

    I personally get the vibe if an Alola sequel is made, you will get the chance to go to the Kanto region from Lillie traveling there, who knows, she could give you the S.S. Anne ticket!

    I agree. If anything, Johto was more heavily put out there in regards to influencing Alola itself (Malie City, somewhat Konikoni City.) Paniola town has some references to Tauros ranchers from Kanto settling there, but otherwise the Kanto fan service came from the Alolan forms and some story dialogue.

    As for the original question? No, I don't think that they will. They've re-done Kanto twice (if you include HGSS) and don't really need to anymore for a while. Maybe for 8th gen? Who knows. I'm fairly convinced that we are going to get a DP remake, and perhaps a SM sequel for the 7th generation.
     
    If there were ever a region to revisit, Kanto would be on the bottom of my list. I mean it would fit perfectly into S/M's plot, but there are other regions that I'd much prefer to have as a second region.
     
    As much as I love Kanto and wouldn't mind revisiting it, I don't think it will really happen, even in a Sun and Moon sequel. I feel like we could get an item like the SS Anne ticket that we aren't actually able to use, just so Game Freak can tease us some more.

Like don't get me wrong, there are plenty of Kanto references, but I feel like the games, culturally speaking leaned far more towards being more about Alola's regions and customs rather than focusing on Kanto as a region; only really namedropping it every now and again and having some relevance during the end game for spoiler reasons.

    Pretty much this. The Alola forms being Kanto only is annoying, but X and Y were way more in your face with annoying Kanto references.
     
    I'd be okay without gonig to Kanto again, or redoing Alola. Sinnoh remake would be fine by me since I never got to play that series in the first place, but if it doesn't happen I won't be disappointed.

    I'd much rather they put out new (free!) DLC for S&M like a new island or something.
     
    Honestly, if they want to redo Kanto again I'd much rather see a more fleshed out Yellow.

    As for any transactions ruining pokemon, remember - Pokemon Bank.
