[News] AlphaDream has gone bankrupt (RIP MARIO & LUIGI)

A very tragic day for Mario & Luigi fans. Not so long ago earlier today, the game's developers, AlphaDream, have filed for bankruptcy. Slowing sales and high development costs have been cited as the reason. It's currently unknown what will happen or if staff will manage to resurrect the company, but here's hoping that Nintendo step in and manage to continue the M&L series. If they do though, it'll just not be the same anymore.

What are your thoughts on AlphaDream going bankrupt?

Aw man.. The gaming world just lost a legitimately wholesome company. :(

I really loved their games. :'( They helped cultivate some of the iconic characterizations of major characters in the Mario franchise, including Bowser. I hope the series continues somehow with some of Nintendo's other development companies. It would be a shame to see Mario & Luigi gone.

Only ever played Dream Team (couldn't finish because the game kept freezing at a specific point), which I enjoyed a lot, especially the music. Sad news..........:<

Only played a couple M&L games but I enjoyed them, certainly. Wonder if the series has any hope if they do go under for good...
