Title explains itself. How do you organize the boxes in your PC? This isn't really a feature new to Gen 5, but it's the only generation I've kept my PC as organized as this.

Right now, I'm only using 8 of them. I haven't really captured much, and for the time being, I'm just training. As far as my mailbox, I don't even use it. I wish we still had the Item box with the starter potion in it. (like most generations did). = (
    _____________________________________________________________

Dream W): I keep all of my Dream World pokemon in here. I don't really use a lot. I plan on trading or breeding the majority of them.

Breeding): My breeding box consists mostly of starters and pokemon that normally can't be obtained in Gen 5. My pokerus infected pokemon also go in here. Maybe I'll rename this one to trading. Probably makes a bit more sense.

Import.): (As in, "important"). Before I finished the game, this box was used to switch out the pokemon I used for battling and HMs. Now, they're just pokemon I like. Not necessarily EV trained either. :3

Legendary): All my legendary pokemon. Usually trade them.

Random): Takes up two boxes and they're both full. Pokemon I caught for my pokedex. I'll probably release most of them pretty soon.

B/W Team): My Gen 5 team I plan on training. They're all bred and lvl. 1 with good natures.

EVs/IVs): Pokemon I EV train, or pokemon with good IV's.

The rest are labeled "unused" and have the plain wallpaper. Yeah. I have a lot of time on my hands.

Also, protip of the day: Put at least one pokemon in every box, and you will unlock a few more. Helpful if you're running out of space for organizing them.

I name all the boxes according to their wallpapers: river, sea, sky, forest, etc. Then I place my Pokemon in the box they fit the most in.

*shrugs* Just reset my game, so only have about half a box full of Pokemon. I dont really breed or anything, and usually my boxes are disorganzied on every gen ive played so far. Dont really see much sense when you can just scan through real quick. Also since I dont EV/IV train and do competitive, I see no real reason to sort *shrugs again* so my boxes are usually just filled with random Pokemon.

I sort them out by Pokemon type. I also have special ones like Elite (where I put my team or previous teams), Legends (Legendaries), Nursery (eggs and the like) and since I had extra space, I named one Stars for Pokemon I often use in Musicals.

I do the same thing that I do with every over Pokémon game. I have it set up just like this: PSY/DRGN, GRS/BUG, FIRE/PSN, WTR/ICE, ELCT/STL, GRD/ROCK, GHT/DARK, NRML/FLY, and FIGHTING, each one with a corrosponding background (such as beach for PSY/DRGN, forest for GRS/BUG, river for WTR/ICE, etc...). The rest of the boxes are used for multiple/miscellanious/team storage. It works. At least it does for me.

I always mean to arrange my boxes a certain way, but I usually just leave them as is. Whatever I catch usually stays in that box until I remove it for whatever reason. The only kind of organization I remotely use is between Pokemon I have and Pokemon that I use.

I never realized I was the only one who sorted pokemon by importance.

Can't believe I didn't catch on to the wallpapers. Maybe I'll start putting my forest pokemon in the box with the forest wallpaper! :D

Last few boxes with a full team of Pokemon in each one. Everything else in the first few boxes. Sorting out Pokemon is too much of a hassle.

I used to separate my boxes by type, but that was too time consuming. I just keep them the way they are nowadays.

I just shove them in there as I catch them accordingly. If I were to arrange them by specific categories or types, there's going to clearly be a lot more blank spaces in some areas compared to others which may be much more cramped. Eventually, it'll become too cumbersome and difficult for me to organize in such an OCD-like manner, so I already gave up in the beginning to curtail any possible stress in box-arranging matters.

I organize my boxes by the order that I caught my Pokemon. I also have separate boxes for Synchronize Pokemon and for Pokemon I'm planning to breed.

I never sort them, so it's often hard for me to find the pokemon that I need >.<

However, once one of my pokemon reaches lv100 I just put them in front of all the other pokes that I own.

I have Party, Party (two boxes of stuff I use in my team or want to use), Bug Codec (my Larvesta breeding project), Legends, Legends (two boxes of legendaries), LIAMJUNK, LIAMJUNK (stuff I'm holding for a friend), and Randoms, Randoms, Randoms etc (where I keep everything else. I put the special wallpapers (Reshiram/Zekrom/Plasma etc) on my Party and Legends boxes.

I suppose I'm a little unimaginative, I have mine in order of level.

    Such as
    Box 1: 1-9
    Box 2: 10-19
...and so on and so forth.

I also have an egg box and the rest are overflow boxes ._. 20-29 is always uber full for some reason.

I always organize my boxes according to the national dex, so Box 1= 001-030, Box 2= 031-060, etc. and then I generally have a spare box or two for, Pokemon to Trade, Pokemon To Evolve and put into its correct space or Alternate forms of a Pokemon (e.g. Male/Female Jellicient). It helps me out a lot as I know where all my Pokemon are and gives me some indication of how far away I am from completing the National Dex.

I never "really" sorted my pc boxes. I would usually have one box for my main team, then everything is usually scattered around. These days I have a box as a list of Pokemon I need to breed, and a box of currently bred and trade-able Pokemon. Though from this thread I've been inspired to organize all my boxes now. XD

I organize my box like this:

    Box 1 - "My Box"
    Box 2 - "RNG"
    Box 3 - "RNG"
    Box 4 - "RNG"
    Box 5 - "Breeding"
    Box 6 - "Syncer"
    Box 7 - "DW"
    Box 8 - "Shinies"
    Box 9 - "Legends"
    Box 10 - "Events"
    Box 11 - "Gen 1"
    Box 12 - "Gen 2"
    Box 13 - "Gen 3"
    Box 14 - "Gen 4"
    Box 15 - "Gen 5"

Box 1 through 22 are labeled "30" to "649" for when I complete my Pokedex. All the Pokemon are in their designated place.

Then I have a box for random (23), and a box for my shinies (24).
