    Hello folks,

As an aging gamer, pokemon was one of the crazes I missed out on growing up. However, after picking up a PS3 to try out some of this passing generations console gems, I enjoyed Ni No Kuni so much I allowed myself to be pressured into taking the pokemon plunge.

So far I'm enjoying it a lot, but I'm still very much the noob. I'm trying to figure out maxing points and battle lineups, but I have to admit my teams are still heavily influenced by cuteness. I wish I could quit you, Wigglytuff.

At any rate, I came here to meet some people who also play, for schmoozing, learning and safari codes. Looks like a nice place, even if the listed ages make me feel very, very old.

Honestly, it's never too late to join in on the Pokemon craze, no matter how old you get, really! I'm actually glad that I'm 23 and I'm still pretty much obsessed with the franchise. I love the fandom too, we're so friendly and all. And I know you will love it as well.

Don't be intimidated by the ages here. We welcome any fan, old or new, old or young, noob or expert. We welcome anyone from different background with open arms and kindness. Once you pick up that Pokemon game, you'll want to play more, and join in on the discussions we have in this very own community. I've met many peeps from different ages, even youngins, and I'm sure there are members here that are even older than you, I believe! So maybe that's good news for ya? xD

If you need any help with your Pokemon games, or have a question about the franchise, feel free to ask them in any of the Q&A threads in each and every section of the forums! Explore what we have here if you want, and you'll totally want to stay here for the awesomeness. Better more, should you have any questions regarding the forum in general, the staff members in bolded names are willing to help out. :D

Welcome, btw! Like I said, don't be shy ok! Feel free to drop a message on my profile if you wanna talk. I love making new friends. <3 See ya around!

Aw, don't feel worried about the listed ages. You'll fit in fine here, no matter the age! There are quite a few adults who still enjoy spending time on this forum.

If you need help with your team, check out the Battle Center! Plenty of knowledgeable friendly members hang out in that section, willing to help any skill level improve their battling abilities! Plus, there are sections for each generation of the Pokemon games, so if you need help or just want to talk about your adventures, those are the places to go!

Not to mention the other wide variety of topics to talk about all over the forum.

If you ever need help, or just want to chat, visit any moderator's or super moderator's profile and leave a VM or send a PM! And, as always, have fun here at PC!

Haha, don't worry! Although I've been with the franchise since close to the beginning, my teams are usually influenced by design. I find it a lot more fun to play with your favorites. Anyways, I believe you can never be too old. I'm 25, and I even have an uncle who plays! Well, hope to see you around, and enjoy your time here at PC! ^-^

Yeah, as the others said.. age does not matter at all. ;P I can 100% see myself being a Pokemon fan well into my 30s, 40s, and even beyond that, to be honest. It's a very fun franchise that caters to all ages so you're very cool for being into it! Never too old. :D Welcome, Snurff!

You can get a lot of help here if you're lost so pop by to the appropriate generation board and use the simple questions/Q&A threads to ask away. We have a Battle Center for battle-related queries as well though, plus a Trade Corner for those looking to trade and learn the ways of RNGs and the like. n_n Seems like you've mostly been covered as far as suggestions go; we all certainly hope you stick around. Despite the size of this forum we're all quite friendly and one big happy family, even.

Hope you have a blast! Would stink to lose you so consider sticking around for a while to come, yes?

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

By the way, the forum moderators seem pretty strict about forum subject regulation; I was just wondering if there's a resource I can study to learn more about pokemon x/y breeding. I've done a fair amount of googling, but most of the informative guides are either a generation old and/or involve hacking. And some are just way too dense for a newbie like me to get a grip on.

I've heard there were a lot of changes with xy, so I'm just hoping to find a place where I can educate myself so I know how to identify what 'perfect' is that everyone's going for, and the steps people are using.
