To the fans of Angel Beats! Jun Maeda has announced in an interview in some manga magazine that i bought in Malaysia that there will be an Angel Beats! season 2 entitled Angel Beats! 2nd Term released in Spring 2011........... I Certainly love this anime especially its insert songs and its fictional band Girls Dead Monster....... Give me your thoughts and views on the upcoming season.......

...Well, during the days Yurippe was passed out we didn't see anything, but most of the characters disappeared.

I might've believed that last confirmation up there, but it's date was all the way back in June of 2010. D;

What if the second season followed the manga, even loosely, and just acted a prequel to the first season? x_o Not that I'm hoping for that, just sayin' it as a 'what if'.

New characters would be a nice change of pace.

I don't think they can be replaced, but I see what you mean. ;)

They could continue it from the last scene in the final episode like the Otonashi running after Kanade part or they could base it on like the missing parts like in between episodes where they have certain missions.

O hai! I'm new here. I finished watching Angel Beats! yesterday though.
Some awesome stuff there.
I heard they were going to have a new cast for the second season. I did hear the creator confirm it, so I'm assuming it's going to happen. If not, I'll just go all Shion on something.
